Gamera vs Gyaos (1967)
director- Noriaki Yuasa
Grade- A*
(this almost fucking killed me i was laughing so much i have just finished watching it and i have to write it up immediately this is so absurd insane and wacky you have to watch please omg)
Story: 9
Action: 9
Comedy: 11 (forgive me i could actually taste blood i was laughing so much)
Professor: 8
Protagonist: 9
Average Score: 9.2
Review hidden cause you have to watch this yourself first its so good
I have just finished watching this film and even though it's the 27th that ive watched it has skipped the line to be talked about immediately, i was actually choking at how much i was laughing at this my sister said shes never seen me so happy or have this much fun. Straight from the beginning we get some of the funniest hard cuts in cinema immediately into some wacky antics with our child protagonist (pretty normal for gamera films) we have two comedic relief construction workers whos faces are so expressive with every reaction. There are so many small funny moments i actually cannot stop and talk about each and every one of them, one of the main plotpoints to try and stop gyaos is to create a big spinning disc to stun him by making him too dizzy and to lure him in they use A FOUNTAIN OF FAKE BLOOD THAT THEY JUST SYNTHESIZED IN A DAY?!? THAT APPARENTLY TASTES AND SMELLS THE SAME AS REAL HUMAN BLOOD???? WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW THEY TESTED THAT BUT ITS CONCERNING.This film is such a wacky ride although there is a weird amount of fake blood (its all obviously fake so no worries for haemophobes) but oh my god please do yourselves a favour and please just go and watch it. I literally cannot do this film the justice it deserves you have to see this to believe any of it.

It Came From Beneath The Sea - Classic Monster Movie Review
Director: Robert Gordon Production Company: Clover Productions Country: USA Year: 1955 Another monster movie in the spate of them released in the 50s and 60s, It Came From Beneath The Sea was created as an excuse to show off the incredible stop-motion talents of cinema legend, Ray Harryhausen. As such, it follows much the same kind of plot as most of the films did. A monster shows up, the…

Akira Ifukube (Naoki Satō) - Godzilla Minus One - Godzilla Suite II 2023
Godzilla Minus One is a 2023 Japanese epic kaiju film written, directed, and with visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki. It won Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards, becoming the first non-English language film to do so. It was the first Godzilla film to be nominated for an Academy Award, as well as the first Japanese film ever to receive a nomination in the Best Visual Effects category.
The score is composed by Naoki Satō, but also contains re-recorded pieces from several Godzilla movies composed by Akira Ifukube; a three-part 10-minute "Godzilla Suite" comprising new recordings of music from classic Ifukube Godzilla scores, including the famous 1954 march, plus brief references to King Kong vs Godzilla from 1962, Mothra vs Godzilla from 1964, and Godzilla vs Destroyah from 1995. These tracks are mostly used as underscore in the major battle sequences, such as Godzilla's first attack on Tokyo, and then again during the final battle. The soundtrack won Best Original Score for a Fantasy/Science Fiction Film at the 2024 International Film Music Critics Association Awards.
"Godzilla Suite II" received a total of 85,2% yes votes!
