Das Militär marschierte auf, es gab Tote - nicht von ungefähr ist das Versammlungs,- und Demonstrationsrecht unser höchstes Gut und schon alleine deshalb gilt meine uneingeschränkte Solidarität den Klimaaktivist:innen. Ja, die Aktionen bringen Ärger mit sich, aber das ist das Ziel beim Aufrütteln. Ziviler Widerstand war stets Motor von Veränderungen und sozialen Umbrüchen in unseren Gesellschaften - vom Frauenwahlrecht bis hin zu Black Lives Matter. Junge Menschen, die sich für ihre und unser aller Zukunft einsetzen, zu kriminalisieren, halte ich für untragbar. Die Gewaltphantasien, die diesen von mancher Seite entgegenprasseln, sind bedrohlich, einige schlicht primitiv. Die verbale Aufrüstung bis hin zu körperlichen Angriffen gegen die Aktivist:innen verurteile ich auf das Schärfste. Genauso wie die Diffamierung jener, die sich für den Erhalt unser Lebensgrundlagen einsetzen. Wer „Klimakleber:innen“ als „Terrorist:innen“ versteht, verharmlost zudem den wahren Terrorismus. Wer das so verkürzt, lenkt damit eher von seiner Unwissenheit oder ihrem Unwillen ab, sich aus der Komfortzone zu bewegen. Wer nach Gefängnis, strengen Strafen und Paragrafen ruft, setzt auf autoritäres Gehabe statt auf Dialog. Das ist kein demokratisches Verhalten. Dass die heute zu Ende gehende Aktionswoche der #LetztenGeneration Ärger erregt, ist in Anbetracht dessen, was schon alles versucht, geredet, demonstriert, gemahnt und wissenschaftlich bewiesen und eingemahnt wurde, verständlich. Protest kann und darf auf eine unbequeme Art und Weise erfolgen, um wirksam zu sein. Man kann über die Wirkungsmächtigkeit vieler Methoden streiten, aber wer die Legitimität solcher Proteste grundsätzlich in Frage stellt, steht auf der anderen Seite der Barrikade.
