I just hope you're half as feral about my writing as I am about the fact that you're out here being interested in my Hazbin Hotel OC, because the sound this ask prompted in me is best described as the verbal equivalent of a keyboard smash. U bring me so much joy, spirits.

Ahem!!!!! AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT TZAFAEL!

@spoondrifts, who knows and has studied significantly more about the subject than me, helped me figure the name "Tzafael"! To paraphrase them: The suffix -el means "of god". The hebrew word for eyes is einayim, which in its construct state would be something like eineiel/ayneyel, roughly transliterated "tzafah." It also means to watch/observe but also to predict or foresee, so "Tzafael" could mean a witness or beholder of god.

Tzafael is younger than Lucifer and knew him only a little prior to his fall. Their relationship with him is akin to how you would see the queer uncle who got kicked out of the family because he came out when you were like ten years old and didn't really understand much, except now you're also queer, twenty-nine, have established your own life, and suddenly realized you're living in the same city. Do you reach out? Do you duck behind a corner when you see him?

They... have not technically fallen. Nobody kicked them out. There's nothing physically stopping them from returning to heaven. That said: they do not often return to heaven, and heaven puts a lot of effort into not talking about why or what, exactly, they might be doing, but surely it's better that they stay gone. Nobody wants another Lucifer situation. And it's not like that! Really. Really. They haven't officially done anything wrong. Don't say the word "rogue," not even quietly.

This does mean that their halo still works and they still receive exorcist broadcast communications, though! You'd be surprised at how far the signal goes. It makes for a very interesting tea time, and they fucking love to gossip. It comes with being the Witness.

Their cardinal sin is pride. They enjoy the fact that they're almost the heaviest hitter possible in hell purely by courtesy of being a seraph so much. They like to think they stay classy about it, but those who know them also know that the best way to get a favor from the fallen seraph is to be polite and stroke their ego.

my middle name was in honor of my great-grandmother who was apparently a lot like me! that's also the reason I don't intend to change it when I change my first name.

I am so deeply allergic to team sports but I was a sabre fencer for almost ten years. it was one of the only sports that did not trigger every single chronic illness I have

constantly and frequently but primarily for jokes instead of, like, to be a huge dick on purpose.

I almost always notice clothes first! especially if they have fun jewelry or accessories

1) Interstellar - like damn. Good damn movie, damn amazing soundtrack full of feels, and the science works.

2) Cloud Atlas - six individual stories mixed that end in triumph. Most of the actors/actresses play upwards to six parts (Tom Hanks, Halley Berry, Hugo Weaving, Doona Bae, Hugh Grant!). The makeup and costumes are amazing, the soundtrack is 🤌 It's a long movie, but amazing.

3) Jurassic Park - my father and I would rewatched this, especially if I stayed home when I was sick. If we didn't watch this, we watched Apollo 13.

4) Twister for the nostalgia, but Into The Storm for the intensity

5) The Mummy (1999) - my old pal and I saw it the weekend it opened in theatre, then we got stranded in Transcona (a weird area in my city that you never want to be stranded in! It was an incredible journey to get back to her place)

6) Alien/Aliens - my father and I watched these when I was a kid

Session

for @echosong971 and her Reverse Forsaken AU, ft. her therapist character Seraph-7. also, she made some suggestions for the dialouge, so thanks for that Cayde was miserable. That much was obvious to Seraph when he walked into her office.

Though the fact he was showing up at all was a good sign. He had been cooped up in his apartment for weeks after returning from the Reef and being dismissed as Vanguard, followed by going out into the wilds or the Reef for who knows how long. He was rarely in the Tower much these days.

Seraph had Cayde as a patient before. He definitely had issues that he needed help working through. Thing was, he tended to be pretty cherry and joking, almost annoyingly so, during their sessions, barring some exceptions.

Not this time though. He took a seat without even looking at her.

“Hey doc.” Was all he had to say.

“I’m glad you decided to come by Cayde. I heard about what happened.” Seraph offered, giving him an empathetic look. “ And I give you my condolences. I..I know Echo meant a lot to you-”

“She meant everything to me.” Cayde interrupted, voice barely above a whisper.

Seraph merely nodded, then looked back down at the stack of papers. “Ikora recommended you come see me. She was concerned about your mental state after the events at Tangled Shore-especially after she heard from Petra Venj the details of Uldren’s death.”

“Bah. Bastard had it coming. I don’t see what the big deal is.” Cayde said dismissively.

“I’m not going to deny that.” Seraph continued. “But from what I’ve heard, the level of violence on display is a cause for great concer-”

“HE FUCKING DESERVED IT!” Cayde suddenly bellowed out, causing Seraph to flinch back. “He killed her, he fucking killed her, like an animal, and when I caught with him? He had the nerve to laugh. To mock me. To mock her. I lost it. And whatever I did to him, whatever pain I inflicted upon him, it wouldn’t be enough! He deserves far worse than what I dealt out to him!”

Cayde slumped into his chair, while Seraph gave him a moment to compose himself. She hadn’t seen him this enraged. The closest she got was whenever he talked about Taniks, but even then it was nothing like this, the sheer rage and venom he spat out as he talked.

“Cayde, let me ask you something?” Seraph asked. “Killing them-Uldren and the Barons. Did it make you feel better?”

Cayde stayed silent, before shaking his head. “It wasn’t fair that they got to go on their merry way after what they did to Echo. Besides, she’d have done the same for me. But no. I didn’t feel much better after that.”

“I see.” Seraph replied. She decided to change the subject. “I also wanted to talk to you about how this has affected your relationship with the rest of the Vanguard.”

“Well, Ikora and I…I guess you could say I’ve been distant from her lately, but we’re still on good terms. She’s...she’s been a shoulder to cry on so to speak.”

“And Zavala?”

At that, Cayde hung his head in shame. “Well…after the funeral, but before I left, I was…I was pissed off at Zavala. After everything she’d done for the city, for humanity, saving us from annihilation, he wouldn’t even let us go after the bastards who slaughtered her. Looking back, I can see where he was coming from, but...I was just seeing red at the time. I went to confront him. It got ugly. Like…real ugly. Zavala took it well at first, but then-” He paused, burying his face in his hands. “I brought Safiyah into it. I said that if she was still alive she’d be disgusted at what coward he’d become.”

“Ah. I see.”

“‘I see’ indeed. And Zavala, well, he looked like he was using every ounce of will he had to stop himself from punching me then and there.” Cayde sighed. “I was angry and I was grieving. But that’s no excuse.”

“Have you apologized to him?” Seraph asked.

Cayde shook his head. “No. Not really. Last time we talked was after I got back from the Reef and he basically fired me.”

“You need to Cayde. It might be difficult to face him after all of that, but I think you know Zavala well enough to know that he’ll forgive you.” Cayde nodded in acknowledgement. “Is there anything you wanted to talk about?”

“Well…there’s one thing.” Cayde started. “The thing that got me to go here in the first place. See, while I was in the Reef, I met this kinderguardian-goes by Crow. Naive kid, but he’s alright. But ya see, he’s…I mean, he was Uldren.”

Uldren got rezzed? Or, well, it wasn’t really Uldren anymore if he was rezzed. Still, that was surprising.  “How did you react when you first met him?”

“Didn’t know at first. Kid kept a mask on for the most part. But…first time I saw his face…I went for my gun. It was reflex. I came to my senses quickly but the kid was freaked the hell out. Thought I lost it. Maybe I have.”

“I wouldn’t be wrong in assuming that you’re having difficulty disassociating Uldren and Crow, would I?”

“Yeah, that’s the deal. I know it’s not Crow’s fault. He’s a good person, nothing like the Prince, but seeing the face of the man who killed the love of my life again…even if the guy wearing it ain’t the same-it’s a tough pill to swallow. I suppose, as time passes I’ll get used to him but…yeah.”

“I’m glad you realize that Cayde.” Seraph said as she checked the time. “I’m afraid that’s all the time I have for today. I have another session line up for you next week.”

“I appreciate what you’re doing for me doc. I really do.” Cayde thanked her as he got up to leave.

“Cayde.” Seraph added

“Yeah?”

“Promise me you’ll show up again. If not for yourself, than for the people who care about you.”

Cayde nodded, and the ghost of a smile crept onto his face. “Will do doc. Will do.”

As Cayde left, Seraph began taking notes. Cayde would get through this. She knew that he would.

Halfling Duchess - CR3 Humanoid

A halfling with noble blood, and something else lurking in the blood as well.

I sort of imagine that, in a setting where magic can come from your bloodline, nearly all major noble families are probably sorcerers. This particular one has very few powers, however. Something dark lingers deep inside this deceptively helpless-looking individual, ready to one day emerge, but it's biding its time.

In the meantime, this halfling noble enjoys screwing with people by pretending to be a human child. Sometimes this tactic gets people to ignore her and talk in front of her when they ordinarily wouldn't. Sometimes it simply lets her go out in public without being recognized.

She has an unusually high amount of wealth for her level because, well, a duke or duchess is typically the second highest rank of nobility, right underneath the king. This wealth would be enough to bump her up by 1 CR, but it's canceled out by her having basically no combat abilities except Wasting Ray. She definitely needs bodyguards. If dealing with her as an adversary in a purely social encounter, treat her as CR 4.

Dressed in incredibly fine clothing of glimmering silk, the figure sitting at the dinner table drinking tea appears to be a noble child, who motions for you to sit down. It's not clear where the duchess is, or why she's wasting your time by subjecting you to interacting with this kid.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Daemon Bloodline Arcana (Su) Whenever the halfling duchess casts a spell that kills one or more living creatures with an Intelligence score of 3 or higher, the caster level of any spell she casts in the next round increases by +1 for each creature her first spell killed. This ability does not stack with other effects that increase her effective caster level, and she cannot gain a bonus greater than 1/2 her Charisma modifier (typically +2). The second spell the halfling duchess casts must be of an equal or lower level than the first one.

Wasting Ray (Sp) 7 times per day, as a standard action, the halfling duchess can impose either starvation or thirst upon a living creature she can see within 30 feet. This requires the creature to make a Constitution check each round (DC 10 + 1 for each previous check) to avoid taking 1d6 points of nonlethal damage. The creature must continue to make these checks until, as a full-round action, it quenches its thirst or sates its hunger (see starvation and thirst). The halfling duchess can only apply this ability once every 24 hours to any given creature. Creatures that do not need to eat are immune to this effect.

Underfoot Dodger (Ex) City-dwelling halflings do not treat crowd squares as difficult terrain and they gain a +5 bonus on Acrobatics checks to move through the spaces of larger foes.

Those words played over and over on repeat in the blue seraphs head, sending a chill down his spine. The waiting was the worst part, that unknown of what was to come. Lucid’s mind spun wild imaginary outcomes of what may happen when the two of them talk. What his punishment would be…

Amidst the waiting for Sera to summon him to talk, the seraph also waited for contact from the Devil himself. This silence also spun thoughts and reasonings in the dreamers mind that only clouded his judgement further. Not even a text to ask if Lucid was okay or what happened. Maybe it’s because Lucifer was also in trouble and unable to do anything? Or perhaps the demands of trying to unite Heaven and Hell in preparation for battle, the fallen angel had simply forgotten Lucid. Or…could Lucifer be angry with him for essentially doing nothing..?

Eijiro turned to face Mina. Her eyes were wide, shoulders stiff.

“Wha-what the hell happened here? Kiri?”

Her voice was becoming shrill. Eijiro let out a breath. He really didn't know where to start. After she'd wondered off from him, he'd lingered at a few stalls perusing the knickknacks and strange pets on display. He hadn't been interested in the wooden jewelry stall she was surely going to for her weekly five-finger discount.

Not even a half hour separated, a shriek had rung out from somewhere in the crowd, and the ripple effect of fear sent everyone running. Eijiro's first instinct had been to draw his sword, and he was glad he did when he recognized the cultist's hood. Now, they stood surrounded by the bodies and blood splatter of those cut down in the panic. His hands were still shaking, and he angled his head up so as not to look into the dead eyes of the fallen. He couldn't articulate it to her, not without falling apart.

Still, he tried to put some light into the gruesome dark. “An Angel did this. He was gonna do more, but some others and I stood our ground. We...saved a kid.”

He was unsure about the saving part. The child was alive and one of the other adults had taken him to find his mother, but all in all, none of them had done anything spectacular. It was all Katsuki, and now the two seraphim had flown off.

"Ka - Bakugo came and, really saved our skins." He couldn't say much more after that.

For once, Mina didn't pry much out of him. She could probably see the fear still staining his insides, some failure she wasn't privy to. Eijiro was thankful; he didn't want to elaborate any more, not when everything still seemed to be very much in motion. His mind instantly sprang to Katsuki and what could possibly be happening. Was he apprehending the cultist? Were they fighting? Did he...need him? God, he felt so damn useless!

Eijiro spread his wings. Perhaps he'd frozen up in front of the black Seraph, but he wouldn't do that twice that day. Just like at the docks, Katsuki gave him strength in ways he never imagined, enabling him to steel his resolve and move forward despite doubt and fear. He'd stand facing God Himself as long as Katsuki was there, too.

“Where are you going?” Mina shrieked.

“To find Ka- Bakugo,” he said, quickly correcting himself again. Launching into the air, he made a beeline in the direction the Seraphim had gone. He was flying as quickly as he could, but even still, Mina, the ever-nimble thief, caught up to him easily.

“Why?” she continued their conversation mid-air.

I know most of yall don’t give a flying fuck about D2 (that sounds a bit harsh but hey it’s not inaccurate) but I need to lay out some things here In the original draft of this, I was far more angry and enough people have done that last season and this season now. So figured I should layout ideas I think could be done to fix things One way to help the Vanguard strike playlist again is adding the PsiOps and Heist Battlegrounds to the playlist, in addition Chosen, PsiOps, and Heist Battlegrounds should drop random seasonal gear from their original season (also reissue Chosen gear with the Land Tank origin trait). "But hey hows that fair that Battlegrounds get their own loot pools-" Simple solution: guns like Militia's Birthright's non adept form would drop from strike completion, taking them out of the Nightfall loot pool unless its the Nightfall that week, adept variants would only drop during the Grandmaster version. As for guns like Duty Bound or D.F.A, they'd be in a different loot pool that like the weekly Nightfall loot pool, would cycle. So we'd have the Vanguard Nightfall loot (Shadow Price, Palindrome, SWARM, etc) and Vaulted Nightfall loot (D.F.A, Mindbender's Ambition, etc) In addition, like during Year 4, we should have a Battlegrounds playlist and Hunts playlist Hunts would get the Nightmare Hunts, Empire Hunts, and Baron Hunts (once Forsaken returns) into one playlist. Loot dropped would be from the planets loot pool: Baron Hunts grants Tangled Shore loot, Nightmare Hunts grant Luna gear, etc Now that's simply helping PVE playlist content, now onto PVP One big thing, RETURN TO CBMM (in quickplay and comp). Fireteam Based Matchmaking will be good for Trials, Iron Banner, and Gambit so it can stay. However the SBMM is clearly not good as its just led to people playing the same people over and over again Another obvious issue is lack of loot incentive from competitive. There's rather easy solutions here For reaching certain ranks, you'd receive a Ghost, a Sparrow, a Ship, and an Emblem (maybe multiple? one should at least denote that you've reached Ascendant) but see that wont keep people coming in. Once you reach Ascendant for the season, aside from playing a few matches to get your weekly roll of Rose, why bother? Well adept variants of Crucible guns would be enticing. Now of course the main problem is maps or lack there of. Ideas for map locations:The Scarlet Keep, Bray Exoscience facility, Riis Reborn, Freehold's temporal anomalies, The Lucent Citadel, The Black Garden, Neomuna, wreckage of The Almighty, a Seraph Bunker, somewhere in The Dreaming City and The Reef

The same problem is present with Gambit but even moreso. My map suggestion is the same as above along with Also I'd like to see a version thats what Gambit Prime attempted to be, Gambit Perfected. Within GP, you'd que into your role and once in the game your role would be over head for your teammates to see and know who's who. - Max 3 rounds like old school Gambit - Role buffs return but are not as overpowered as previous ones - new Primevals (Taken Techuen, Taken Chieftain, Taken Darkblade, Taken Acolyte that uses Stasis, Taken Wyvern) - Lucent Brood are now possible enemies with Hive Lightbearers being the High Value Targets - House Salvation are now possible enemies with Stasis wielders being High Value Targets - Shadow Legion are now possible enemies with Tormentors being High Value Targets - Season of the Drifter gear returns, wins granting a chance at adept versions (I just really want Spare Rations and Bug-Out Bag again lol)

Now Seasonal content...thats far more tricky imo. For one, cutting up the story content into 8 parts always has hurt the stories, Plunder for instance could've had us gather a few more relics per week and the main story couldve been shortened and it'd flow much better than waiting 8 weeks... As for the dreaded 3 x 7 upgrade screen. One idea is to cut it to only 15 upgrade steps but we still have this issue of this time gated vendor upgraded. So remove the timegate...sorta As it stands now, the way to upgrade the vendor/device is the weekly season challenges, one will be related to the weekly story quest and the other would be combat related So have the item used for upgrades drop from the season activity very rarely. Excess items can be turned in for enhancement cores or prisms And the last one I have much to say about: Moments of Triumph it feels pretty lame Age of Triumph was D1's finally hooray, a celebration of Destiny 1 as such, Moments of Triumph should feel similar something like double rewards for multiple activities two active rotating raids/dungeons an armour ornament set from seal completion just something so people know to be active in Moments of Triumph because if you didnt see the MMXXII seal in the triumph tab you'd have no idea it's going on right now ANY CASE we come to the end of my lil(hA LIL) post about how Destiny 2 can improve greatly now this wont fix everything but it'll definitely fix some stand out problems imo

God pathfinder gets the creative juices flowing, especially 3pp. I thought up a psionic jellyfish that breathes air and uses a living suit of armor made of coral to punch things.

Hello and welcome to anyone who's reading this post!

"Angel's Friends" is an Italian comic book series that (as far as I'm aware) was never translated into English... until today!

Now, I don't speak Italian which is a very big, very important declaimer. "I" translated the comics by running the text through Google Translate, however, if you've ever actually used Google to translate something, then you'll know that their translations range from "passable" to "that is in no way a natural English sentence, but I kind of understand what you mean" to "literal word vomit." So most of the text needed extra "modifications" in order to sound like something that someone would actually say.

Due to the manner in which this was translated, some of the text is still kind of ~awkward~ because I was trying to keep it closer to the original Italian (or at least, what Google said was the original Italian) and some of the text isn't exactly a 1 to 1 translation because Google DID NOT give me an actual English sentence to work with so I just had to guess. However, the comics are still very much readable! I may not be confident in the wording of some of the speech bubbles BUT the overall story is still there.

There are a few things though that I thought that I should clarify/add some additional information for due to various reasons which I'll be leaving under the cut:

Issue 2 Page 3: In Italian, the teacher is named "Putzo," which probably comes from the Italian word "puzzo" which means "stench" or "(I) stink." I changed his name to "Stenchious" so that the "joke" would work better in English.

Issue 2 Page 5: Similarly to "Stenchious," "Kloudisky's" name in Italian was "Cimentus" which probably came from "cime tempestose" which means "wuthering heights" or "stormy peaks." Kloudisky doesn't really have a "name joke" but since I already "localized" Putzo's name I thought that I'd keep it constant.

Issue 2 Page 13: The translation wasn't clear on whether or not Gabi manged to catch up before heading back, or if he wasn't able to catch up and then just decided to head back. It really doesn't matter at all to the story, but I just thought that I'd mention it.

Issue 3 Page 21: In Italian, the first letters in each of the words for their punishment spells "O.P.S.." Which is cute and fits the theme of a punishment. When I translated it, I just took the translation and made a new acronym "O.E.P." which doesn't actually spell anything, it's just a direct translation of the words that spelled "ops" in Italian. I suppose that I could've used different words to make the acronym spell something cool, but oh well. (Don't ask me why somethings got localized and others didn't, these comics really are just a mix of both.)

("VETO" was also an acronym in Italian, but in that case, I kept the word "veto" and removed the fact that it was an acronym. I suppose I also could've given "O.P.S." the same treatment, but oh well.)

Issue 5 Pages 1 and 2: "Zephyr" and "Seraph" are English words. They're both angel references. Thought I'd clarify, because I had no idea what they were before doing this project. I thought Google just straight up didn't translate the words at first (which actually did happen from time to time <_< ) but nope, they're a thing.

Issue 5 Page 13: The librarian's plaque says "Head librarian of tomes and encyclopedias." Thought I'd clarify since the file size of issue 5 is much smaller than the other issues for some reason and you might not be able to read it.

Issue 5 Page 21: The Angel's Friends fan wiki says that the creature's name comes from the Italian word for "revived" instead of simply being called the "revived." Which would make since, seeing how that was one of the words that Google half of the time didn't really translate. In this version, I just called them the "revived" instead of using the Italian word or making up a new word. Just a bit of trivia.

Issue 7 Pages 2, 3 and 5: I know the lyrics of the songs on these pages don't make any since, but they did seem to be pretty accurate translations, so I don't know what to say. 0_o Most of the time I can blame Google but this time, I think whoever wrote the original comic is to blame for this oddness.

Issue 8 Page 6: During this issue from page 6 on, every time "Sulfus' snacks" were mentioned, Google would would translate the word that I changed to "snacks" as "gluttony." For example, "Have I ever told anyone that you hide gluttony under your mattress?" and the jar that Google claims says "Vintage gluttony." Obviously that doesn't make any since and I'll admit that changing the work to snacks doesn't ~really~ make it any smother. It's still awkward I know, but that was all that I could think of.

Issue 9 Page 1: If you look up this issue on the fan wiki, it'll say that the title is "The Guardian" but I changed it to "The Janitor." That's because although the Italian word that is used for the title (as well as his job position) "custode" can be translated as "guardian" I've been translating it as "janitor," which is an alternate translation of the word, so it's not ~wrong~, just different. Sometimes Google would also translate the word as "keeper" which is another alternate translation but I thought that "janitor" sounded more natural. (Though I suppose "grounds keeper" could've worked as well.)

Issue 10 Page 3: Another weird song. Yeah, I don't know. Just thought I'd mention that I'm aware that it's odd. :S

Issue 10 Page 15: Two things:

"Fuori" means "out" in Italian. I... just flat out didn't translate the word. I'm sorry, I've failed you all. :( I just couldn't think of anything snappy to translate it to. "Come out"? "Bring out Reo"? maybe just "Hooray"??? I don't know... I suppose any of those could've worked but on top of that, the words are in a very "art heavy" place and if you've been reading the comics then you'll know how not so great my photoshopping can be.

Note number 2 for this page is that Reo actually sings in English. I know his song is kind of odd too, but this time it 100% isn't me or Google, it's 100% the original comic's fault. I simply retyped his words out so that the font would be consistent.

Issue 13 Page 9: "Armonia" means "harmony" in Italian. So her school is just "Vera's Harmony Dance School." I thought that it would be easier to just leave it as it was because "armonia" is on the logo and on the sign of the school. (And I was not going to photoshop over them. Don't ask me how I decided what gets photoshopped and what doesn't, I don't know man...)

Issue 13 Page 18: In the original comic, Malachi's name is spelled "Malachia." I decided to take out the "a" because normally in English it's spelled without the "a" (also, sometimes Google would even "translate" "Malachia" to "Malachi") this does leave an extra letter for the "lock" on the safe, so I added the "♥" at the end.

Issue 14: The "first page" describes some of the events in the comic. (Why did they try to spoil their own comic, IDK...) I've moved that page to the end of the "image set" for this reason.
