The Quibbler but as monthly shoujo magazine cover parody with wizarding world fanfic titles

warning all of the titles mentioned are 18+ read the tags!
a bit of review me gushing out/screaming about the fanfics mentioned, under the cut;
A Good Man Is Hard To Find by cloniccouer
Sebastian Sallow x Player Character | completed | post canon 7th year au | re-read worthy | characterization 10/10 | cinema | easter eggs type of writing | the more you re-read the better | banter between the characters is one of the best part | filling the hole in the canon hp universe | this is probably the 3rd time i mentioned this fic in my blog | that’s your sign to read it! |
Lace, Letters, and Lectures: Professor Sallow by mahoushoujo_m
Sebastian Sallow x Player Character | ongoing | post hogwarts au | professor!seb au obv | i’m letting this one marinate to 100k words | will come back to edit |
Lost Connection by AsphodelRose87

Post War by @josiecarioca
Severus Snape x OFC | ongoing | EVELYN BLACK IS SO MOTHER | this one is masterpiece | cinema | Post Hogwarts Battle au | Snape lives au | i still read Al-Andalus part A LOT | better writing than some of tv series out there | exploring more about hogwarts founders | characterization 10/10 | especially the OCs | even the villains | altering the chemicals in my brain | prepare yourself | for this life changing event |
Unraveling of Fates by @aesopsharpstuff
Aesop Sharp x OFC | ongoing | pre canon au | ex auror OFC | werewolves | trauma | i can feel nina’s pain through the screen or am i just dramatic | unreliable ministry & headmaster black what’s new?? | 1880s hogwarts staff are baddass | not talking about a certain headmaster obv |
In The Shadow of Us by @slytherizz
Sebastian Sallow x Player Character | completed | post hogwarts au | #sebastiansallowgettingoutfromazkabanparty /jk uuuh not really but that’s the vibe | post azkaban | enemies to lovers mmm slurrp | was it a misunderstanding or was it betrayal? |
To Frame the King (of Cats) by heartsof_theround

A vivid tour of Manhattan's 1960s: sharp pictures provided by Wendy Robert and taken by Walter Leporati.
The Manhattan of the 1960s was more than just a place; it was a pulsating entity, alive with artistry, ambition and audacity. Culturally, a ton of stuff was unfolding and changing young people's lives. There was an explosion in expression: music, art, fashion and social norms. The movie culture was also booming! Vintage theaters like Victoria Theatre showcased Hollywood's golden era films, while avant-garde cinemas brought foreign films and indie projects to masses. Big movie stars like Katherine Hepburn and Paul Newman graced big screens, while Manhattan itself played a starring role in countless films like "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
1: Girls wearing stripped dresses in Times Square, 1967.
2: Vehicle traffic along Fifth Avenue at West 43rd Street, 1963.
3: Cinema-goers line up outside the Victoria Theatre in Times Square, 1967.
4: View of traffic on Broadway in Times Square, 1966.
5: View of businesses at the corner of 7th Avenue & 42nd Street in Times Square, 1967.
6: Construction of North Tower of the original World Trade Center, 1969.
7: Pedestrians at the intersection of Liberty & Greenwich Streets, 1969.
8: People outside Trinity Church at Broadway & Wall Street, 1969.
9: Fans gather at Sheep Meadow in Central Park for Barbara Streisand concert, 1967.
10: Pedestrians on Wall Street during lunch hour, 1969.

Hi there!
Wow, I've been a huge fan of Reylo since like the 8th movie. And if I tell you I was DEVASTATED over TROS I wouldn't be lying. Your "Powerless" fanfic was an endless light in that darkness. It's my favourite Reylo fanfic EVER. My friend, who's like a sister to me, got introduced to Star Wars by me and was mesmerized by Kylo Ren/Ben Solo in an instant. I couldn't blame her. I told her "Listen, don't care a bit about the toxic fans, if you love the sequels, love them" As for me, I love all the movies, but Rey and Ben have a special place in my heart. I won't lie, I hated Kylo in the 7th movie, but then I grew to love him so much, that I cried at the cinema when I saw his death.
I showed my friend that fanfic and she loves it the same. Please, accept my greatest gratitude for the Powerless fanfic, because it healed something inside of me which was broken to pieces by TROS. I like to imagine what kind of adventures Tara may have gotten herself into with Jesen and Kitra.
Also, I'm so sorry about Mr. Downing, I hope you and your family are doing okay.
Have a great day/night, and May the Force Be With You❤️
Oh, thank you, kind soul. I think fan fic is such an amazing art form because it allows us to take the beauty amidst flaws and craft something new and, as you say, healing. I was also devastated by TRoS as well as incandescently angry. But, the reylo fandom refused to let them take the beauty from us.
Thank you so much for your incredibly generous words about 'Powerless'. It's probably my favorite of my fics. Thank your friend, as well. It's great you get to share fandom with her.
I and my family are doing well. It's been a transformative experience and I'm full of so much gratitude for all the support I have received walking this new and alien path. Thank you for your hope for me.
Take good care of yourself, new friend.
Love,
Perry

Didn't Wanna Feel Older in 2024? TOO LATE!
So long, 2023! You have been a weird-@$$ year to say the least. Between by having to repair old thumb drives, purchase a new printer, finding out I'm susceptible to anxiety attacks, trying out dating for the first time, getting my Discord and Steam account hacked, starting a new Discord server since said account was never unhacked, opened myself up to commissions, managed to post art for Halloween, got Covid, summoned more Kaijus to play an elaborate game of poker, and had a merry enough Christmas. Here's hoping 2024 will prove better. At the moment I have no new goals, since I just want to relax after four months of constantly being active. There's a mile of books, movies, and TV shows I need to get caught up on! My opinions on all of them will be given in future Giraffe's Eye Views, but for now let's get to what you all came here for: yet another unnecessarily long list of things celebrating major milestones this year!
You all loved it when I did this last year. In fact it got more attention that anything else I posted, including the original art I put way more effort and time into. Nah, that didn't sting at all. Seeing my sketches get ignored is so much fun. Passive-aggressive joking aside, I do still love making these lists, so let's get started with some major stuff this year.
Thanksgiving wasn't too long ago, so why not mention that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade turns 100 this year? I know, that's insane! Watching this festive event has become a seasonal staple in my house and is the only reason I've ever signed up for Peacock. Thank goodness in all those years it hasn't been smashed by a giant monster.
Godzilla turns 70 freak'n years old this year! How crazy insane is that? Here's hoping his old age won't slow him down when he teams up with King Kong this April. Even if it does, Gojira will continue being cinema's coolest character!
Contrasting with the King of the Monsters, Mary Poppins turns 60 years old this year. This movie, considered to be Walt's last masterpiece, has aged considerably well even after all this time.
Oh yeah, and Mickey Mouse enters the public domain this year. Still not entirely sure how that works, but whatever. What I do know is...

Janet Gaynor - The First Oscar Winner
Janet Gaynor (born Laura Augusta Gainor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1906) was an American actress whose image was that of a sweet, wholesome and pretty young woman. She was notable for playing her roles with depth and sensitivity. She is "The First Oscar Winner" of the Best Actress award. Gaynor was not only the first actress to win the award, but at 22, was the youngest until 1986, when actress Marlee Matlin, 21, won for her role in Children of a Lesser God.
As a child, she began acting in school plays. Her family moved to Los Angeles, where her parents wanted her to pursue an acting career. She was initially hesitant to do so and enrolled at Hollywood Secretarial School. Her parents continued to encourage her to become an actress, and she began making the rounds to the studios to find film work. Her first professional acting job was as an extra in a Hal Roach comedy short in 1924, which led to more work in feature films and shorts.
Fox Film Corporation eventually signed Gaynor to a five-year contract and began to cast her in leading roles. By 1927, Gaynor was one of Hollywood's leading ladies. In fact, during the early 1930s, Gaynor was one of Fox's most popular actresses and one of Hollywood's biggest box-office draws. She continued to garner top billing for roles in State Fair (1933) and A Star Is Born (1937).
Despite being at the top of the industry, Gaynor retired from acting at age 33. However, she did return to acting from time to time with guest appearances on TV and films.
Aside from acting, Gaynor also became an accomplished oil painter of vegetable and flower still lifes. She sold over 200 paintings and had four showings under the Wally Findlay Galleries banner in New York, Chicago, and Palm Beach from 1975 to February 1982.
Gaynor had been in failing health and required frequent hospitalizations since a 1982 traffic accident critically injured her. At 77 years of age, two years after the car accident, she passed away in Palm Springs, California, her injuries being officially ruled to have caused her death
Legacy:
Was the first recipient of the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1929 for her performances in three films: 7th Heaven (1927), Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) and Street Angel (1928), the only occasion an actress won one Oscar for multiple film roles; and nominated for another for A Star Is Born (1937)
Named as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1926
Listed by the Motion Picture Herald as one of America’s top-10 box office draws from 1930 to 1934
Awarded the Order of the Southern Cross for her cultural contributions to Brazil in 1979
Given a tribute by the American Cinema Awards for her outstanding contribution to the Arts 1983
Honored by the San Diego Festival of the Arts in 1984 for her contributions to the movies at the Spreckels Theatre
Was the subject of "Janet Gaynor: A Centennial Celebration" exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art and Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive in 2006
Inducted in the Online Film and Television Association Film Hall of Fame in 2012
Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6284 Hollywood Blvd for motion picture

Founded in October of 1923 by Walt Disney, DISNEY animation studio has established itself very well in the film industry. From its first film “Snow white and the swan dwarfs” to today’s blockbuster Marvel hits, DISNEY has proved itself to be the best film maker and producer.
Movies by Disney often cover the concepts of good versus evil, being kind and humble, helping others, friendship in the most appealing way. The realistic animations match perfectly with the well-versed scripts. The production company is also the creator of the first produced sound cartoon Mickey Mouse, which further went on to become the official mascot of the company.
Disney established itself well both, in the cinema and audiences’ hearts by producing “Snow white and the seven dwarfs”. It was highest grossing motion film of its time and bagged several accolades. The movie gives away a very beautiful message to young audience to be helpful and kind towards all and of course, be alert of strangers.
Disney, took it further in 1940 and released the evergreen Childrens’ movie and story tale: Pinocchio.it was premiered in New York on February 7th,1940 but has been revised and released again on media platforms in the subsequent years. Again, Disney Studios maintained their art of providing the children with the good lesson of not lying to anyone or anything or “Honesty is the best policy”. The story is adapted into books and is read and told widely across the globe to children.
Since then, Disney has been home to numerous movies including global known movies such as Cinderella, Aladdin, The Parent Trap, Tinker Bell, The Princess and The Frog, Tangled to name a few. Iconic childhood show Winnie the Pooh also calls Disney home.
Tangled set a milestone in Disney’s history as Rapunzel was the first 3-D animated film and as usual, well-acclaimed and cherished to this day by children and adults alike. Since then, Disney has constantly improved and delivered blockbuster hits including the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It would be certain to say the relationship between Disney and its audience is impeccable and can not be replaced. It doesn’t matter what your age is or however specific your genre is, there is a Disney movie to cater to that. It would be safe to conclude that, Disney will always touch us audience with its amazing cinematography.

On the occasion of the honorary poster of the 76th Cannes Film Festival, I am posting some selected portraits I have taken of Catherine Deneuve from 1983 to 1996, for 15 years.
The first was in 1983 at the Carlton fumoir with her director friend #andrétéchiné and a few more to come...more on the fb page https://www.facebook.com/studiorassias Faces of 7th Art.
Deneuve remains the heroine of French cinema, with excellent films such as ''Les Parapluies de Cherbourg'', ''La Belle du Jour'', ''Tristana'', ''Le Sauvage'', ''La Chamade'' '' etc...and as the magazine reports Elle ''this time, the high mass of the seventh art has chosen to pay tribute to a French icon: Catherine Deneuve.
A poster produced by Hartland Villa (Lionel Avignon, Stefan de Vivies), from a black and white snapshot of Jack Garofalo, taken on the set of "La Chamade", on the beach of Pampelonne, specifies the press release

Succession cast is basically.
Classical british lotharios, who are bored with theatre AND hates unimaginative movies studios execs, and somehow realised that some tv networks, actually respect the 7th art.
It's HBO, baybay.
I mean Bryan Cox , lived in the heydays of Robert Motherfucking Evans.
Best movie execs in cinema history, won Oscars, beded beautiful and smart actress with full consent, was ready to physically fight them MGM/paramount and them so that 🏳️🌈 and Black people would get payed properly.
He even got a "southern tax", on his personal payslip, and used that to bring forth Black Americans professional of Movies.
Grip, photography, MUA.
A 5'7 king.
I digress as usua.
Makes sense, Bryan Cox is bitching about Jeremy strong.
Do You really have to go method?
Do You ?
To play a spoiled dude with Daddy's issues?
I'm pretty sure half of my female straight cousins dated a Kendall Roye and I fockin hated it.
Every minute.
Digressions, I know.
The Tom interview with the hipster Nazi is real though.
Murdoch was trying to blow up that Overton window. Under Obama administrations.
He succeeded at that.
Coz We're still not punching money hoarding, eugenist having, enough.
On sight.
They go low, I will drag them to the pits of Dante's Hell
#succession#that show is fun#im glad im not under NDA anymore#its givin A-aron Spelling Dynasty but for the Transatlantic human traffickers#upper eat side Manhattan#definitely french embassies

Art that reminds me of the tropical astrology
Neptune in the 8th house: here in these two shots you have a landscape perspective and a window portrait of a cat. Both including nature such as a thin yellow crescent moon a vast field of rich red roses and a few other flowers. Both this placement and this Art tell a story of mystery as well as true spiritualism.
Moon in taurus or moon in the 8th house: the intriguing part of this art is the subtle dark tones yet calming overtones. Taurus moon gives off the energy of green eyes and last nights
Sun in Aries or sun in 7th and 6th house: something about the way this art speaks to the individual is rebellious yet peaceful.
North node in leo or north node in the 11th house: there’s a social link with this art and the need to be free with thoughts and ideas. Dreams of theater and cinema play on the mind here.

The 2 other Cannes festivals that no-one ever mentions
Cannes is pretty much synonymous with its cinema festival, held every May in the chic French seaside resort. It’s a big, brash, glitzy event that can attract some 200,000 people over its ten days. But there are two other movie festivals that attract a different crowd, offering the excitement of the 7th art in a more manageable (and less expensive) format. Travelers get to enjoy Cannes without…
