Kuroshitsuji Wiki now on wiki.gg!

As of today (February 24, 2025), the Kuroshitsuji Wiki has left Fandom Wiki and moved officially to wiki.gg! The new wiki can be found here!

From now on, only this wiki will be updated, not the Fandom one.

Why did this happen?

Please read these posts to learn all the reasons why the wiki was ultimately moved.

TL;DR: Fandom's latest policy auto-blocked the word "fag," making a good portion of the wiki uneditable. Fandom, as a site and wiki farm, has become increasingly bad and hostile over the years for many, many other reasons too.

More information: I revised/expanded some pages during the onboarding phase. Not as many as I wanted to, but some nonetheless! I also revamped the layout of the arc pages, though the summaries are still works in progress. I've started adding voice actors to the episode pages (Season 1 is finished, the rest will follow). Ch108 was mistakenly sorted into the Blue Cult Arc though it still belongs to the Emerald Witch Arc; this was fixed. Etc.

More themes/skins: On Fandom, you could only switch between light and dark mode. I put together four different themes for the new wiki, two of which commemorate S4 and S5 :) I hope they are to your liking!

Link hover previews: If you hover over a link now, you get a little preview of the page!

A better, prettier mobile experience: Colours and customisations are now retained on mobile. The references section now looks normal and does not send you on an endless scrolling spree. References actually pop up when you click on them. Etc.

Less ads!!!: THE #1 grievance people have with Fandom Wiki. wiki.gg has very few ads (and they are unintrusive ads too) on both desktop and mobile. If you are logged in, there are no ads whatsoever.

You can help out the new wiki by...

... never going on the Fandom Wiki again. Every visit there only strengthens its SEO. Please do not edit the old wiki anymore too, and do not vandalise it now even if it's tempting. Edits only push it more. (Because of Fandom's shitty forking policy, the old wiki cannot be deleted, unfortunately.)

... adding the wiki.gg redirect and Indie Wiki Buddy browser extensions. They send/redirect you to the independent alternative of a Fandom Wiki if such an option exists. (This, of course, helps other wikis that moved too, not just KuroWiki.)

... by sharing the news. "How's the weather?" "Pretty nice, but have you heard that the Kuroshitsuji Wiki moved?"

Regarding that one spoiler page (Ch129 onwards, if you know you know):

The article for Smile's older twin brother, the original and actual Ciel Phantomhive is called "Ciel Phantomhive" (with the quotation marks) on the Fandom Wiki. He's called "Ciel" in articles too.

This was done because when he showed up in Ch129, it was not 100% confirmed yet whether that was Smile's twin, not just a clone or whatnot. A month later, it was confirmed that this was indeed Ciel's twin the actual Ciel. However, the article's name stayed. This had the advantage that the real Ciel's page would not appear when you typed in Ciel in the search bar.

wiki.gg's search function is better than Fandom's though and, here, if you type in Ciel, the search bar suggests pages that contain that word, not just start with it.

Innocently typing in Ciel into the search bar would have sent people to the spoiler, and that would be very shitty, wouldn't it? Especially with the influx of anime-onlys.

(I've also seen people complain about the quotation marks too. And, for whatever reason, that way of referring to him made it to Wikipedia???)

The quotation marks messed up the image migration too. Files with quotation marks in their names were the only ones that weren't transferred "properly" (the quotation marks were removed during the migration. Ch130 Ciel and Ciel.png is a horrid file name).

Anyway, I ended up renaming real Ciel's page to Lord Phantomhive. Real Ciel Phantomhive or Ciel Phantomhive (real) would have had the same search results as "Ciel Phantomhive" after all. There could not be a given name in the title.

"Lord Phantomhive" is the title he held as an earl's first son. Also, the fact that Tanaka, apparently, used to refer to Smile as "Lord Ciel"/"Ciel-sama" (Ch19) before the fire and now only calls him "Young Master" was one piece of evidence often brought forward for the Two Ciels Theory when it was still a theory. And, despite Undertaker's words that "Earl Phantomhive is still alive":

"Earl Phantomhive" fell through as an option too. (And because people might have searched for it looking for Smile, and because "Earl Phantomhive" is also Vincent.)

In articles, the real Ciel is either called "the real Ciel" or "Lord Ciel" or "the older brother/twin" or such. I hope I made the distinction between the twins clear enough in the texts.

- On the boat back from Wolfschlucht to England - Sullivan looked over the railing of the main deck, watching mainland EUrope shrink smaller with the second. She couldn’t say that she was feeling homesick, but the idea of going to a foreign country without knowing too much was a little frightening. Still, she knew to be brave. It’s a promise she made to herself and Ciel Phantomhive after all. Speaking of the devil… “Lady Sullivan, there you are.” Ciel Phantomhive entered the deck with his butler Sebastian in tow. “I asked Finnian to put me down here after Wolf needed some rest,” Sullivan answered. “I’m glad he’s feeling better. How are you enjoying the boat trip so far?” Sebastian excused himself to go and make afternoon tea as Sullivan replied. “I’ve never traveled this far before. It’s exciting but also a little scary.” They both stared at the water. “I’m sure you’ll love London. It’s always bustling with new things to discover,” Ciel said. Sullivan smiled. “No doubt about it.” After a pause, she continued. “Say, lord Phantomhive? There is something I wondered…” Ciel looked at her in anticipation while she struggled to find the words. “I.. Uh.. I told Sebastian that I would drop prying for it while you were ill, but my curiosity won’t let it be. Are you… Is Sebastian… A demon?” Before Ciel could begin to stutter, Sebastian re-entered with the afternoon tea. “S-Sebastian, tell us, what are you serving today?” Ciel asked, not quite able to hide the trembling in his voice. Sebastian looked a little surprised. His master never showed particular interest in the layout of the afternoon tea. Nevertheless, he started explaining. “This afternoon’s tea consists of a refreshing blend of Darjeeling which also counters the effects of seasickness.” “Oh my how interesting,” Ciel said as Sebastian began pouring the tea. “Lady Sullivan, do you have any questions about the tea?” The little lady looked at Ciel in confusion. “no, but I would like to-” Before she could finish, Ciel cut in again. “Pastries! Sebastian, What are you serving along with the tea?” Sebastian looked from a flustered young master to a confused master Sullivan. “We have macaroons in the flavours vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, chocolate and caramel.” “Hmmmm, I’ll take the caramel. How about you, lady Sullivan?” Ciel urged Sebastian to hold out the plate to Sullivan, who was becoming a little agitated. “I’m not hungry, but-” “Not hungry? Then you must be seasick, take a sip of the tea, you’ll feel better!” Ciel hastily interrupted her, taking a big gulp from his own cup. Sullivan became annoyed. “I just want an answer to my question!” Ciel choked on his sip. Gasping for air, he tried to change the subject again. “Gosh that is hot. Better wait a little longer before drinking, lady Sullivan.” Sullivan now reacted angrily. “Cut it out lord Phantomhive! If you won’t answer me, I’ll ask Sebastian directly!” She turned to Sebastian. “Sebastian, are you a demon or not?” Ciel tried to get her attention back to him again, but was silenced with a finger from his butler. “Now, now young master, where are your manners? It’s rude to keep interrupting a lady…” Then, he turned to master Sullivan with a smile. “The answer is: I’m simply one hell of a butler..”

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this reply and mentioning this comparison between the two twins. I'd like to leave it and prattle a bit more... Since the announcements of the new season(s) coming out there's been a lot more attention on my theories, and the poison-theory was no exception. There's been this idea that the only reason The Bizarre Doll we're calling "Real Ciel" is 'acting strange' is simply because, he's a bizarre doll and of course, not the actual, Real!Ciel. That surely, this had a dramatic effect on his personality, because this isn't truly 'him.' And while I believe, that The Bizarre Dolls and the living people, aren't actually the same (as much as some of us we want them to be). I look at Doll/Freckles, and some of the other people who have been confirmed to actually be reanimated Bizarre Dolls ... and I'm not-so-sure, any of their personalities are drastically altered. Freckles has everyone fooled, at current. These dolls are liable to behave strangely before they're 'perfected' and might act different when they're lacking their "resources" ... of course. They're not going always work and behave human, as a result ... but as far as their personalities go... when all of these needs/resources are met? I don't think the behavior of this Bizarre Doll should be dismissed so easily, in terms of comparing the way Real!Ciel acted and behaved in life ... no one else around him, seems to think he's acting strange at-all. It's because he's always been this way. And I do agree as far as Vincent goes... I believe he did have a part to play, in why the target was put on his family's back. I think he exposed Real!Ciel to a lot of things, and made a lot of assumptions about how he'd handle it. I also think, Vincent got a little brazen, got tangled up in something very dangerous and flew... a little too close to the sun, so-to-speak and crossed the wrong person in his close circle, too many times. "That Day" was planned very carefully down to tiny meticulous details. It took multiple attackers. Someone involved even took care to tie up the DOG from inside the house, before the orchestrated attack. Someone who hated Vincent and his family, and someone who knew the ins-and-outs Phantomhive Manor and any safe-rooms, and escape routes. Someone involved, also took care to distract the Undertaker from the outside of the Manor... he was likely less-than what, an hour late, from both the twin's rescue? He got to Real!Ciel in time, before the body burned. He was looking tirelessly, for both of them. Someone knew he was a threat, and stopped him, too. It was definitely someone in Vincent's close-knit circle... who knew how to bypass every. Single. Safety measure, of his security. Someone who knew all of his secrets and tricks, and knew the secrets and layout of the house.

hey I'm not trying to get you hate but question about the poison theory... I could believe an older child could do that but why would you think a 5-year-old would? That's the part I think most people just can't get passed

I've answered this before, several times, and I'm not sure how many times this needs to be said, before people realize it's not something I'm arbitrarily making up... it's not "I believe this might happen in fiction" -- I suspected it because there have been well-documented cases of living, breathing 5-year-olds who have done this exact same thing, before. In fact, ones who have done much worse! And it was not an abuse case.

But I realized, very, very quickly, that while some people genuinely wanted to have a discussion, there were a number of people who were asking me about this, (or about asthma in general) in really bad faith? To find fault with me and put words into my mouth, paint me as someone who just hates children for no-reason or doesn't know anything about asthma. Read all of this carefully, please.

The sources and documented evidence out there, of 5-year-olds (and younger) who have killed or harmed animals, infants, are real people... and these deaths and injuries, as a result of these children and what happened to their families, are often extremely sensitive in nature. I can't justify continuing to send links of this type of evidence to people, who dislike my theory, to these studies and documentaries (the amount of content warning labels I'd have to provide, alone...) to... what...? Gawk at? Just to prove that it happens?

Should I have to explain to strangers or irritated people who have a reason not to like me, for what I think about a fictional story or character, that I actually have asthma and that I know the difference between types (most people don't know there's different types to begin with) and why none of this is adding up to me? Probably not. I know that this topic is sensitive in nature but suddenly, a lot of people were making judgments about my character and wanted to know details about my personal life. Why is that okay? If I ever came off overly defensive about this in the past, I apologize, that was why.

Back to the subject... Five-year-olds who are capable of getting into things they aren't supposed to, and playing with ""medicine."" Is that a rare occurrence? No. Five-year-olds capable of playing with ""medicine"", knowing the outcome might be harmful...and doing it anyway? Actually a lot more likely, than you think it is. Is it rare? Absolutely, but sadly... but not so rare that it's not well-documented and studied. The evidence is out there, and if people want to find it, they can do so. You don't have to take my word for it. And people can believe, what they want to believe. If they look at all of the behavior shown of RealCiel, and just shrug and say he surely can't be one of those kids. Fine. However...

- I'm suspicious, when a ten-year-old hides the ability he can regurgitate at-will, and likely had to practice this ability to perfection. He could have died, he could have choked, right then and there and just didn't. Am I supposed to believe this is the first time he's done something like that? He did it with such confidence, when he swallowed that huge ring. He knew he could keep it safe, and get it back in what I assume was a much more dignified way. That ring wasn't so much as tarnished, by his stomach acid. Why did he think he'd need this ability? Is it a watchdog secret? Or is it something he figured out on his own, and taught himself? I'm also suspicious, of the circumstances surrounding "that day" and the way real Ciel behaved, up until the moment he left the bedroom. - I'm suspicious that Tanaka was the only person spared and survived the fire, and that this master butler, a man who can stop a bullet with a sword, did nothing and seemed completely panicked... his last words before injury were "Don't come closer, Master Ciel is--!" Master Ciel is what? - I also find it an odd choice, that he trips/falls twice but both times, where moments where his brother was supposed to receive attention and he refocused it back on himself. Once during a fencing lesson when O!Ciel tried to talk to Lizzie, and once more when R!Ciel brought him flowers from the outing, he tripped and they were scattered everywhere. - I find it an odd choice, that O!Ciel was concerned with making everyone on the estate happy and worried about solving all of their problems and was considering the burdens of caring for so many people... while real Ciel compared them to livestock... like currency, and worried if they didn't keep things running right, they'd leave. A remark that wasn't unnoticed, by their father. - I'm actually not-at-all startled by how hard, R!Ciel took being told that his brother was going to leave him, someday. How hard he protested and how emotional he got, I think that part is fairly normal... but I am suspicious, of how immediate and quickly he recovered. The moment he realized, "Oh. ... I don't have a choice." Shouldn't he have cried harder? But he smiled, immediately and his tears dried up on a dime. Maybe a child in his position would have tried to run away... but with a sick brother, how could he? I don't think he just accepted it happily, I don't take that reaction at face value. I think he wanted his circumstances to be very different and someone, saw this and took advantage of him and manipulated him all the way to the events that lead to "that day." - And last but certainly not least... I'm extremely suspicious of the way Sebastian-the-borzoi reacts to Our!Ciel, especially the nose-prodding and constant barking at him, and only him. It looks a lot like a service dog alerting. They bark, they prod. They do not give up. He knew something was wrong, and if nothing else... I trust and have faith in that dog. It's not any one thing Real Ciel did, it's...everything we were shown of their childhood, combined. Could there be another party at play, here? Of course, I think it's obvious this child couldn't have acted alone. Someone with ill intentions... used him.

I don't blame him, for what happened "that day", I don't think he's 'evil' and I'm not 'out to get him' or whatever it is people think. ...

It's something that not a lot of people LIKE to think about, I'm sure, what children are capable of. But not every child who does that, is abused, and it's NOT always the cause of these behaviors. To say so? Is not only incorrect, but... it's really a slap to the face to the parents and caregivers of some of these children. I read about one case of a child who tried to kill his siblings on multiple occasions and blamed other grown adults for years, before he was caught. They found needles, knives, candy, and his mothers meds under the carpet padding in his closet. He would go to school and manipulate teachers and tell them things like, "Mommy didn't pack me a lunch today!" When she actually did, he was throwing his food, in the trash. He was not abused at home or in school, or treated any differently than his other siblings, who did not display any of this behavior.

Some people are simply born "different" and children do very strange things for attention and their ideas of love and affection, there's... a lot of people in this world, that dedicate their entire lives, to trying to help these children and understand why this occurs. To the best of my knowledge, when this occurs and abuse is not present or a cause, it's thought of as something that is neurological, with possible genetic factors at play.

While a lot of them are caught, early on (with symptoms often manifesting beyond a shadow of a doubt, around age 5... the most extreme case I've become aware of, showed alarming and severe signs at age 3 ) ... some children, learn to mask and learn how to avoid getting into trouble, and to make sure they're the most popular and well-loved person in the room. They mask so well, that this never gets properly diagnosed well into adulthood. The adults often lead quite successful lives, and don't usually seek help... because they don't feel like they need help. Why would they, unless they're forced to? For what reason? They say that psychopaths make up 1% (1 in 100 people) of the population. Yet, 20% of the most successful businessmen in CEO positions (1 in 5), are psychopaths. That all being said, this is a theory about a fictional character ...and I don't condone people using it, to hurt someone or to manipulate whether they agree or they don't. People are allowed to interpret Real Ciel differently, than I do. You're allowed to like him and think I'm incorrect. You're allowed to like him, even if I AM correct.
