Away in a Manger...
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the sky looked down where he lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky And stay by my cradle til morning is nigh.

Hear me out
Frosty the Snowman is part of the Web if we assume the original song is the only canon Frosty the Snowman material.
Proofs:
He is an otherwise inanimate object that is only brought to life by an old silk hat. This suggests that Frosty himself is not alive, but is a sort of puppet controlled by the silk hat. The material of the hat is important too, as spiders make silk. Is it likely that the old silk hat is made of spider silk? No, seeing as the original song was released in 1950 and assuming the hat is at least twenty years old, and spider silk clothing was and still is extremely difficult to produce. But it is possible, as spider silk clothing has been around since the early 1700s, and the hat is stated to contain “magic” which could imply that it is more likely to be made of rare materials.
Assuming this hat is a Web aligned artifact, it is possible that it initially intended to possess one of the children, but instead decided on the snowman because of the greater influence a figure such as Frosty could exert, seeing as Frosty functioned as both a role model and a peer.
Frosty has a Pied Piper-like effect on the children he interacts with. He plays with them, letting them feel more comfortable around him, and has the children chase him around town. The stanza, “He led them down the streets of town / Right to the traffic cop / And he only paused a moment when / He heard him holler, “Stop!”” Implies that Frosty was leading these children across a street, one on which he did not have the right of way. He led these children into oncoming traffic, where, as the children are never mentioned again in the song, they most likely die or are severely injured.
The first two lines of the next stanza, “Oh, Frosty the Snowman / Had to hurry on his way” imply that Frosty had to flee town before he, or rather the silk hat that was using him as a host, was destroyed by the angry townspeople who just witnessed their children being killed brutally. Frosty’s parting words, “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again someday!” both imply that people are crying, most likely due to seeing their children hit by oncoming traffic, and serve as an almost condescending warning about his return, most likely the following year.
The song itself is immensely popular. I was helping my dad move some stuff around campus yesterday and three out of the four times we turned on the car radio to the Christmas station it was playing Frosty the Snowman, a different cover/version each time. The pervasiveness of this song could certainly be connected the Web’s influence, and the song (as well as the movie) have given most people an overall positive view of Frosty, essentially removing from cultural memory the annual murders committed by the snowman, and brainwashing the public into believing the lie that Frosty the Snowman was a good being. The song states that he “was a jolly, happy soul” but not that he was good. One can take pleasure in horrendous crimes.
What interest would the Web have in killing several children each year from what is most likely a small or medium-sized town? Perhaps it is to feed on the fear the children’s parents would experience from seeing their children laughing and running straight into oncoming traffic as if in a trance. Perhaps it is the fear that they or their children will be next. Who knows.
I rest my case.

A Christmas Dance with Arthur

Back in your cozy apartment after a magical evening at the Christmas market, you glance over at Arthur as he settles into the warmth of the room, a shy but relaxed smile softening his features. The evening has been a dream, filled with laughter and closeness, and you want to end it on the perfect note.
You head over to your old record player, selecting a lively classic that fills the room with unmistakable holiday cheer—Merry Christmas Everyone. The familiar beat and upbeat tune make you grin, and you glance back at Arthur with a mischievous sparkle in your eyes.
“Care to dance?” you ask, offering your hand.
Arthur’s eyes widen just a bit, but he doesn’t hesitate for long. He chuckles, taking your hand with a slight shake of his head. “I’ll try to keep up,” he says with a modest grin, but there’s a spark of confidence in his voice.
As the beat picks up, he moves with surprising ease, his steps smooth and effortlessly in rhythm with the music. You watch, delighted, as he twirls you out and pulls you back in, his movements graceful and natural.
"Snow is falling, all around me, children playing, having fun…” you both sing in unison, your voices filling the room. Arthur grins, swaying to the rhythm as his voice, soft but steady, blends with yours.
“You’re a good dancer, Arthur!” you exclaim, laughing as he dips you playfully, keeping time with the beat.
He laughs, his cheeks a bit pink but his eyes bright. “I, uh… I might have picked up a thing or two,” he says, his voice laced with humor. For a moment, he forgets all his usual hesitation and simply lets himself enjoy the moment.
"Time for parties and celebrations, people dancing all night long…” Arthur twirls you again, singing the line with surprising ease, his voice growing a little stronger with each note. You beam up at him, amazed at how relaxed he seems, completely in the moment.
As you both sway and spin around the room, Arthur surprises you again, keeping perfect time to the song’s beat and even adding in a few moves that make you giggle. When the chorus hits—“Merry Christmas, everyone!”—you both sing it loud and joyfully, laughter spilling from your lips as Arthur holds you close.
When the song ends, you’re out of breath, cheeks flushed as you look up at him with admiration. Arthur, too, is glowing, his smile unguarded and filled with a joy that feels almost childlike.
“You know,” you say softly, reaching up to brush a lock of hair from his forehead, “I love this side of you.”
His expression shifts, a hint of his usual shyness returning as he chuckles, trying to regain his cool demeanor. “Oh, really?” he says, though he can’t quite keep the soft smile from his face.
You nod, leaning closer. “Really. There’s so much to love about you, Arthur. And tonight… tonight is just the beginning.”
Arthur’s eyes shine with a deep, quiet happiness as he holds you close, and for a moment, the world outside fades away, leaving just the two of you together in this perfect, unforgettable moment.
Arthur’s smile softens, and as he holds you close, you feel a quiet warmth settling between you, a perfect stillness that seems to fill the room. His gaze meets yours, and for a moment, neither of you speaks, lost in the unspoken connection that lingers in the air.
Slowly, he reaches up, his hand brushing against your cheek, his touch gentle and hesitant, as if he’s still surprised that this is real. You close your eyes, leaning into his touch, and before you know it, he leans forward, his lips meeting yours in a soft, tender kiss.
It’s gentle and unhurried, filled with all the words he can’t say, and you respond with a quiet warmth, your hand resting on his shoulder, pulling him closer. Time seems to stop as you lose yourself in the softness of the moment, each of you breathing in the presence of the other.
When you finally part, he looks at you with a mixture of awe and happiness, a quiet joy that shines through his usual shyness. He smiles, his voice just above a whisper. “Thank you… for tonight.”
You smile back, your hand still resting on his, fingers intertwined. “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”
And in that moment, as you stand together, the gentle warmth of your first kiss lingering between you, you know that this is only the beginning of something truly beautiful.
---
Author's Note: Thank you for joining Arthur and the reader in this soft, heartwarming Christmas moment! This story was all about joy and connection, inspired by the season’s magic. If you enjoyed this little holiday romance, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a cozy, love-filled holiday season!

This is a lovely version with alternate verses in English (it has different lyrics).

Nadia Sings no. 6
Link to last song
After a hiatus, we are back, baby!
Today we have a Christmas classic: “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee (music and lyrics by Johnny Marks)
As a child, this was one of my favorite Christmas songs to sing along to; I would especially put on our album of Christmas songs to sing this, among other songs, and in the spirit of the season, I thought it would be fitting to give you all this.
In the time I’ve been away, I’ve found a new recording studio—my closet, I’m not even kidding—and I am still using BandLab, which just keeps improving, in my opinion (still not an advertisement, though at this rate, I feel like I should get paid for it), and I have to say that I am very happy with how I produced this; the little radio/vinyl effect I put on my vocals really makes it feel retro, which I did on purpose to match the feel of Brenda Lee’s original recording.
Again, my usual disclaimer; this was recorded in my new recording studio (my closet), using my favorite recording app, BandLab (you guys know the drill 🤣), and, as usual, while I put a little vintage/retro effect on my vocal track, this is otherwise as unadulterated a track as the one I posted last time, just my voice, with no pitch correction, recorded into my iPhone.
(Headphones recommended for the full vintage experience)

O come, O come, Emmanuel
O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
O come, Thou Rod of Jesse, free Thine own from Satan’s tyranny; From depths of hell Thy people save, And give them victory over the grave. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
