What is Meditation? The concept has been corrupted in modern thought. In the minds of many Christians, meditation is associated with eastern religions, like Hinduism and Buddhism – belief systems that don’t acknowledge God as Father or Jesus as Savior and Lord. This association leads many to believe that meditation in any form opens the mind to evil spirits or untrue teaching. But that robs us of an important way of interacting with Scripture. When I began staying home with my kids, I was overwhelmed. While I suspected such an endeavor would be hard, I wasn’t prepared for the ways it challenged me. My daily time in the Bible kept me rooted in Christ; my weekly Bible study kept me digging into Scripture; but the thing that reassured me that I was in Jesus’ hands was meditation on his holy Word. When I get my stimulus check I am going to put it toward my future. I am a certified Holy Yoga instructor. I am going to get certified in Christian meditation and in Chair yoga and start my own practice and my own YouTube channel. I’m also currently studying American Sign Language and plan on being an ASL interpreter. The rest I’m buying yoga clothes, stuff for my personal yoga studio, 2 purses, and the rest in my savings. That’s all!!!

I've just known that there are many Christians that have problems with yoga as it's a practice that is very strongly associated with hinduism and buddhism, and that some even have created a similar practice but that is closer to their faith! some call it Christian yoga, others prefer not to use the word yoga at all! I'm really happy to know I'm not alone, as I'm struggling with lots of Muslims to explain why I don't teach spiritual yoga or if I said Barre has some yoga moves they said "oh meditation, I love meditation, and leaving all your problems behind...", but then I tell them I actually don't do that, they feel I'm kinda weird!🤷 That's because there are some parts of yoga practice that I personally don't really like to do or teach as a barre instructor,  but I don't mind to call it yoga. I use many moves from yoga that we can find in different fitness fields, like martial arts or gymnastics, so yoga stretches and strength exercisses are what I use. What I don't like is yoga as a spiritual and meditation practice that is closer to the pray of buddhists and using their own words and buying Buddha statue or light candles to have the same atmosphere as on buddhism temple! That's because as a Muslim I believe we already have our own spiritual practice, that all Muslims do five times a day, and that if was done right we will have the mindfulness meditation that people seek by practicing spiritual yoga. We can practice it any time we need if five times not enough. We can practice it any where. And we even have our own beautiful mats to practice on it 😄❤️ we have our words to say during this practice (verses of the holy Qur'an). We have our prayer beads (rosary) to say our "dhikr" (remembrance of God). we have our greeting so why saying "Namaste" when we have "assalamo alaikum" (peace be upon you)?! Although it is hard to convince many people, but I will continue to believe in all of these things, and insist on not doing the spiritual yoga, but keep doing the strength and flexibility exercises of it. The purpose of YOGA is not physical exercise, but a path to spiritual “awakening” and “enlightenment” through union with the “divine.” To bring about this “enlightenment,” the primary goal of yoga is to prepare oneself for the awakening of the spiritual energy or “kundalini” that supposedly lies dormant at the base of the spine. When the awakening of kundalini or “serpent energy” occurs, the consequences can be perilous and last for years. “These are postures that are offered to the 330 million Hindu gods. Yoga postures really are; they are offerings to the gods. If you do these postures and you do this breathing technique and this meditation, then you will be accepted by a god, little “G.” Christian yoga is an oxymoron. It is like saying someone is a Christian Buddhist or a Christian Hindu. What some people are doing is that they are trying to make yoga accepted by saying its Christian. Even Hindus are saying that you cannot do that! The practice of yoga, the positions and breathing prepares the body for the occult changes that will arouse the coiled power (kundalini) at the base of spine. This power can travel up the spine passing through the chakras to the top of your head (Crown Chakra). It is the ultimate goal for the kundalini (Coiled or Serpent Power) to reach the brain. The "OM" which is repeated over and over again is to empty the mind of thought so that a new spirit can enter. What kind of spirits? I'm sure you guessed it from the words 'serpent' power. Should true Christians practice Yoga? Is there such a thing as Christian Yoga?

There is a lot of teaching claiming to be Christian that say, “Yes” - the exercise can be separated from the religion. There are a lot of progressives who are actively pushing Yoga exercise and meditation in public schools and senior citizen centers - where the Bible has aggressively been pushed out the door.

Wake up Christians! Yoga has indeed permeated American society since the 1960′s but is is not Christian. Yoga is an integral part of Hinduism. Even the poses - the ansanas- have a religious purpose. There is no Hinduism without Yoga and no Yoga without Hinduism. It’s purpose is to awaken the kundalini “snake” force, to open practitioners to the spiritual awareness of god consciousness - not the God Almighty of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but the Hindu God Brahman.  It is the opposite of true Christianity. Do your own research.
