It's so interesting to think about this from a different angle! It's true that the number of deaths caused by sharks is lower than those caused by humans on sharks. The great white shark is a great example of a species that can scare us a lot, and it's sadly threatened with extinction. This is a cause for concern for us as individuals, but it doesn't have any wider impact on human numbers.

Sting had a comeback and everything went quite smoothly from then on? This is Sting we are talking about as he complicated things again. While he could've solidified his comeback with a Disney movie, the latter's troubles derailed this path, though he seemed to be doing fine despite that. Sacred Love basically finds him accepting all his peculiarities of himself, but a lack of editor was noticeable again. You see, Sting has to be challenged in a way to make his work better, which might be one of the reason we continue to listen to The Police, i.e. the contrasting personalities there somehow brought the best of each other. Sacred Love didn't have anyone to be willing to step up to and that results in a polished affair, which does sound great, yet where are the surprises?

Vackra stränder med vackra människor. Det fridfulla stället Amity i Massachusetts har hela tiden levt på turisterna så att de klarar sig på vinterhalvåret. Every bad album has to be followed by a return to form and even Sting's career fulfilled that famous rule. Therefore, Brand New Day was the comeback he needed. However, the disc lately became neglected. Correct me, if I'm wrong, but I think few consider this as one of the better albums of his career now. I mean, there's a certain laissez-faire vibe present here he rarely indulges with. One could joke the LP finds him at guess-what-I'm-the-Sting mode and he proceeded according to that mindset. Still, this shouldn't suggest he had a smooth sailing afterwards – au contraire as we would see –, though something in the late 90's caused him – and many of his peers, to be honest – to be more relaxed than he usually was.

Olympic Athletics: Olympians and Paralympians join new USOPC Think Tank for college athletics

A think tank will be recognized this month by the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) to identify results. Help sustain Olympic and Paralympic programming chances within college athletics. A list of 34 names counting Olympians, Paralympians, coaches, and managers has been announced for the joint venture. With the USOPC Collegiate Advisory Council (CAC), officially called the USOPC College Game Sustainability Think Tank.

The 11-member group includes Greg Byrne (chair), University of Alabama athletics manager, Gene Smith, Ohio State University senior vice leader and athletic director, Jennifer Frasier, NCAA director of division I supremacy, Katie Bynum, USOPC chief strategy & growth officer, Max Siegel, USA Track & Field chief managerial, Cayla Barnes, Olympian and Boston College student-athlete, Jessica Heims, Paralympian (track and field).

University of Northern Iowa student-athlete, Brett Gorman, US Rowing manager of coaching education and US Rowing national side coach, Martin Jarmond, the University of California and Los Angeles manager of athletics, Greg Brown, former Lear field IMG College Chief and chief executive and Caroline Rebello, Evolution Media Capital managing director. The sports economics working group will review sport-specific and nationwide sport economic organization models to promote sustainable actions for lasting game sponsorship.

遭美國軟件企業“斷供” 大疆回應：對此感到失望

“當用戶使用大疆無人機或其他技術產品時，所生產、存儲和傳輸的數據都完全由用戶掌握，”大疆表示對CAPE公司基於錯誤信息作出的決定感到失望，“但這不會影響大疆繼續在全球發展客戶及合作夥伴關係，全球範圍內有超過520個公共安全機構信任並使用大疆的無人機產品執行關鍵任務。”

大疆同時指出，CAPE是眾多使用大疆SDK的開發者之一，CAPE向使用無人機的客戶提供數據管理和雲服務平台，是一家企業軟件供應商。大疆不知道CAPE是否打算更改已有客戶的服務，大疆認為這屬於CAPE和其客戶之間的協商。

此前外媒7月17日報導，總部位於加州雷德伍德市的創業公司CAPE計劃於17日通知客戶，將停止向其客戶銷售與中國無人機兼容的軟件。目前美國境內使用的絕大多數無人機都是��大疆製造的。

“來自不同聯邦機構的聲明引起了合作夥伴和潛在客戶的關注，”CAPE首席執行官Chris Rittler說。

另外，大疆還曾在7月9日宣布，旗下一套安全解決方案獲美國內政部審查通過。後者在測試過程中，使用了大疆兩款無人機機型。

美國內政部在7月2日發布的報告中提及此事。該部門對大疆兩款無人機進行了總計1245次（總計538小時）測試飛行，期間未發現“數據外洩”情況，且無人機運作良好。

當時大疆北美業務部副總裁瑞貝里奧（Mario Rebello）還表示，“美國內政部認為，大疆產品軟件硬件解決方案可滿足客戶對數據安全的要求，予以批准。對於本次解決方案獲批，我們表示感謝。該解決方案可讓營救人員在緊急情況發生時，更有效地拯救生命。”

這個月，美國內政部還發布了針對政府使用的大疆無人機分析報告。該機構建議批准大疆的產品，但建議將其使用限制在涉及可安全公開的數據的非敏感任務中。該部門批准大疆的一個原因是缺乏任何可行的國內替代品。
