Rajpal Yadav returns as Chota Pandit in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and adds, "He isn't just a character, but a caricature"
Rajpal Yadav, known for his multiple memorable and amusing roles, will return as the fan-favorite character Chota Pandit for the third time in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Chota Pandit has become an iconic character thanks to Rajpal Yadav's impeccable comic timing. Despite character changes and fluctuating plots, Chota Pandit remains a steady and endearing aspect of the series.
In an interview with ANI, Rajpal Yadav discussed the progression of his character, Chota Pandit, from the first Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007. Chota Pandit, the lone character who first met Manjulika (Vidya Balan), was profoundly affected by the experience, making an indelible impression on listeners.
Yadav starred in both the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa with Akshay Kumar and the 2022 sequel starring Kartik Aaryan. He will now return as Chota Pandit in the third installment, with a more in-depth discussion of his character. He stated, "He's not simply a character, but a caricature, a comedy stereotype. In our Indian civilization, Bharat Muni's 'Natya Shastra' imagined characters like sutradhaar and vidushak. Chota Pandit exemplifies this, as a character who mocks no one but himself, giving comedic relief throughout the novel.
He continued, "You've seen him in different colors--red in the first film and white in the second to protect himself from fire. He now appears smeared in sandalwood paste, purifying himself of all negativity and adding a new, hilarious depth."
Rajpal Yadav is delighted to work with Kartik Aaryan again after Bhool Bhulaiya 2. "We have a strong bond, and working with him has been a delightful experience filled with unforgettable moments," he told me.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, maintains the franchise's trademark blend of horror and comedy.
The film, which stars Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, is a highly anticipated Diwali release. Madhuri's presence to the cast has sparked fan excitement, particularly following her dramatic confrontation with Vidya in the legendary 'Ami Je Tomar 3.0' scene.

You are a friend of Arisu, Karuba and Chota

English is not my native language, so there may be some mistakes. I apologize for that. This is not a full-fledged work, but rather a reflection on "what if they had another friend
[WARNING: blood, character death]
You became friends with Arisu, Karube, and Chota back in elementary school. One day, you witnessed two brave boys named Karube and Arisu standing up for a third boy, Chota, who was being bullied. This deeply impressed your younger self, and you made an effort to befriend them. Luckily, it worked out well as the boys were open to having a new friend. Your friendship lasted even after school, showing the strong emotional bond between you all.
You shared the most interests with Arisu and, since neither of you had jobs, you spent more time together. Sometimes, you and Arisu would tease Karube and Chota by sending selfies from a café where you were playing video games while they were working. In response, they teased you right back.
*You sent a selfie where, in the background, Arisu is playing a computer game.
You: How's your Monday going? We're busy with serious matters… like relaxing for both of you!
Chota: It's so sweet that you have so much free time to do this for us.
Karube: Chota, I have a theory about them.
You: ?
Chota: What is it?
Karube: They spend so much time together not just because they're unemployed but because they're secretly dating!
Chota: EXACTLY!
Karube: Your virginity, Chota, didn’t manage to infect them.
Chota: Hey!
You: Arisu, how do you block users in this app?
Arisu: I was going to ask you the same thing.
Chota is a very religious person thanks to his mother, so from time to time, when you're bored, you accompany him to one of the churches. After the church service ends, you usually go to a small shop to buy interesting new manga and read them together, discussing each character's actions.
Chota points to the distorted face of one of the characters.
—Look, that's you when something goes wrong, the young man says playfully.
—And that's you after your boss gets upset again.
Chota looks at the funny, exhausted face of the character and playfully hugs himself.
—If only you knew how scary he is during those times. I'm tired of him.He looks at you, and you sympathetically pat him on the shoulder.
One day, Karube approached you with an unusual level of concern, surprising you since you'd never seen him like that before. He came to you because he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Emi. You knew he was dating his boss's girlfriend and had considered talking to him about it because, in that case, Karube was technically the "other man." However, you noticed how his eyes lit up when he talked about the girl he was deeply in love with. So, holding your tongue, you decided it was his business and trusted that he and Emi would figure it out themselves. He explained exactly what he needed from you: since you're a girl, you would know how to impress another girl, and because he noticed that your fingers are similar to Emi's, he needed you to tell him the size of your ring finger. After finishing your discussion, you sincerely hoped everything would go well for Karube.
A few days later, you were sitting in the kitchen, enjoying delicious dashi. You were browsing various job postings because you had decided to start earning money independently. Your phone started vibrating in your hands with a flood of new messages in your group chat of four. From this, you learned that Karube had been fired, Chota wanted to skip work today, and Arisu had argued with his father and left home. Everyone wanted to meet up. They were waiting for your reply, so you quickly typed a message saying you’d join them soon.
Half an hour later, all four of you stood together in the shade. You were quietly giggling at jokes about a zombie apocalypse and, overall, enjoying the warm atmosphere with your friends. Suddenly, Karube lifted Arisu onto his shoulders and began running carefully down the crowded street with him. Chota started recording a video on his phone, and you stayed close to your friends, ready to catch Arisu in case he fell. You didn't doubt Karube's strength, but extra caution wouldn't hurt. The laughter of everyone involved faded when you realized you were on a busy road. Cars were honking at you, and you tried to reach the other side of the street as quickly as possible, avoiding oncoming traffic.
You heard Chota say, "Look, there are fireworks over there!" But you didn’t turn your head, still focused on your goal. Once on the other side, you all agreed to duck into some restrooms to avoid the police. The three guys went into the men’s restroom, and you headed into the women’s.
The guys only wrote in the group chat that everything was fine, but you were distracted when the lights went out. You put your phone in your pocket and decided to step outside. There was no one around except you. You began calling loudly, "Karube! Chota! Arisu!" but no one answered, so you started searching the most likely places. However, Tokyo seemed frozen in time. Late at night, you returned to the road where you’d last been messing around with your friends. A bright light from a billboard caught your attention, mentioning some kind of game. Though cautious, you followed the directions to the indicated location.
Hope still filled your heart that you’d find your friends there. When you entered the building, you saw your friends and ran quickly toward them. They called your name and hugged you tightly.
—We were looking for you, but it was like you disappeared into thin air like everyone else.
Chota said quietly, disbelief in his eyes.
—Where were you?.
Karube’s voice was calm, but there was a hint of worry.
—Did you see anyone else? Do you know what happened?
Arisu was still holding your shoulders as if checking if you were real.
You didn’t get a chance to explain because another girl in a business suit entered. She explained that you wouldn’t be able to leave until you played the game. After her, a schoolgirl arrived, so all of you completed registration, and the "Life or Death" game began.
After the schoolgirl's death, you stayed close to Chota, patting each other’s backs for comfort. In the next round, you pulled Karube away from Arisu, squeezing the blonde man’s hand tightly to keep him from hitting your mutual friend again. Thanks to Arisu’s intellect, you managed to escape the game, but Chota suffered a severe burn.
By mutual agreement, Shibuki and Chota stayed in the shelter while you, Karube, and Arisu went to the next game to search for answers. During a minor argument between you and your friends, you went with Arisu because the boys didn’t want you to attack the man in the horse mask. However, even in the safe zone, there was trouble—if not for the short-haired girl as well as the man with white hair and his taser, you would have died.
You and Arisu were supporting Karube from both sides. The guy had a shallow wound on his side, but he refused to admit he needed help, even though it was obvious. When you returned to the shelter, you helped bandage his wound and stayed close to assist him if needed. The next morning, while everyone was still asleep, you decided to prepare food with the available supplies. Fortunately, there was a gas stove, so cooking wasn't a problem.
The guys immediately started eating breakfast, while Shibuki stood aside, unsure if she was allowed to join. Your gesture inviting her to sit down reassured her, and she joined you without hesitation.
You were worried about Chota: his visa was expiring today, and with an injured leg, he still had to participate in the game. During breakfast, Karube mentioned hearing about the "Beach."
—Let's look for a way there after today's game. Chota and I are out of time, so we can't delay this.
—All right, we'll all go to the game together today, you decided.
In the evening, billboards lit up again, announcing a new game. This time, the venue was Tokyo's botanical garden. Arisu was supporting Karube as they approached a door with a sign reading, "Only four players can participate in the game." This sparked a new debate: Chota and Shibuki had to play since their visas were expiring. Arisu wanted to opt out since his visa was still valid, but you and Karube insisted he participate. In past games, he was the one who guessed everything, so he's useful.
—Let me play. You have a wound that might cause you difficulties.
—Chota also has a wound.
—But his visa expires today, and you have it for a few more days.
—Everything will be fine, Arisu is with me, and you can sit here and wait for us.
—Karub!
However, he quickly went behind the door, which was locked. You have nothing left but to sit quietly and wait.
However, he quickly went behind the door, which was locked. You had no choice but to sit quietly and wait. From time to time, you looked excitedly at the construction of the Shinjuku Botanical Garden, you heard some screams of your friends, but you could not understand what they were saying. Anxiety was taking over you more and more. You wanted to see what was going on inside, but due to the dense vegetation you were unable to do so. You hugged yourself in your arms because of the cold of the summer night, you walked here and there outside, waiting for your friends and Shibuki to come out. With every minute, you were shaking more and more, either from the cold or from a bad premonition. Suddenly, everyone heard several explosions, they were similar to the ones you heard in the safe zone. Then there was a loud desperate scream. You took a stick, opened the door and threw it into the botanical garden. The laser did not penetrate its. You ran toward the screams, shouting the names of your friends:
- Chota! Arisu! Karube! Shibuki! Where are you?!
Your eyes began to gather cool moisture from the possible options, what could have happened. The sound was heard again, but this time it was not a scream, it was someone's loud sobs. You stopped, you didn't even have to breathe to determine the exact source of the sound. The sound came from the right side, so you rushed there without thinking. You saw that this cry belonged to Arisu. He was sitting on his knees, he had headphones and transparent glasses on his head, and there was fresh blood on his face and clothes.
—Arisu!
You quickly approached, sitting next to him, you carefully placed your hands on your friend's shoulders. With your eyes, you looked him over from head to toe with concern.
—Arisu, can you hear me? Where does it hurt? Are you injured? Where are the others?
Arisu was gasping for air, looking at one point, you took your hands off your friend's shoulders and turned completely in that direction. For a moment you forgot how to breathe, very close to both of you Karube lay motionless, and under him was a pool of blood. Your face was pale than any porcelain in the world. You still couldn’t breathe normally, hot tears were flowing down your cheeks, and your eyes were filled with pain and horror. You sobbed, which allowed Aris to finally notice you in this botanical garden. He hugged you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder and started crying harder, he whispered an apology, but you couldn’t hear him anymore. Arisu hugged you tighter. Feeling you in his arms, he remembered what Karube and Chota had told him a few minutes ago.
—Arisu, live for our sake and for y/n. You were all my best friends, I'm grateful to you.
Chota finally took his hand away from Shibuki's mouth, and she hugged him. They both cried because they knew these were their last moments.
—Arisu, when you get out of here, take care of yourself and y/n.
Karube smoked a little more.
—Turn your head, I'm here. Arisu, thank you.

Hi Aly! I love your writing so much! Can I request Arisu, Karube, and Chishiya headcannons with a smart significant other? Only if you feel writing it of course :) Thank you if you do - I look forward to seeing what you write next!!
y'all i finished revenge of others and i am OBSESSED with seok jaebum... anyways! i added kyuma and banda as characters i'll write for, so in the future feel free to request for them<3
there are a lot of different types of smarts in life (book smarts, street smarts, emotional intelligence, etc.) so i just had s/o written out as a combination of all of them. here you go nonnie!
warnings: none :)
arisu, chishiya, and karube with a smart s/o
arisu ryohei
arisu is so boyfriend material haha, he's always sooo impressed with you.
he knew you had a decent amount of intelligence based off of the test scores you showed him from university, but the first time you were fully able to show it off was during a game
it was a diamonds game, which wasn't exactly his strong suit (literally)
arisu is actually pretty smart himself, but he couldn't keep up with you during the game. your mind was working so fast and figuring things out at lightning speed
the group managed to finish the game with barely any casualties thanks to your quick mind and brilliant strategies. naturally, arisu had to bring it up in conversation
this boy showers you in compliments! he's so so sweet
he's your biggest fan, always bragging about you and rambling on about how amazing it was that you were able to do something so quick
you're the first person he'll come to if he needs anything at all.
he truly does trust your intuition more than his own. if you have a bad feeling about something, he makes sure to look at it through your viewpoint to try and understand what he's missing
more often than not, your warnings come in handy and he dodges a bullet. when he doesn't listen, he tends to notice things usually go bad
arisu also has smarts, so when the two of you start talking about whatever, those specific talks can go on for hours and hours
you both bring up new perspectives and different opinions and it's just so great
he's really really thoughtful and it makes the two of you super compatible :)
before he dropped out of university, you two were definitely study partners.
sometimes he would get a little too reliant on your knowledge and found himself basically dumping his entire homework load onto you
you never really noticed though, and you managed to help him solve the problems with such ease that it didn't really feel like homework at all
this benefitted both of you greatly though, because each time he solved a problem with your help he got a kiss as a reward
oh, plus cuddle breaks in between
and if he managed to solve three problems in a row without much of your help? you basically pampered him with kisses all over his face
his family absolutely loves you
kind of sad, but his dad and brother really like you because they believe you have the potential they think arisu lacks
you never treat them disrespectfully, but you definitely talk shit about them behind closed doors with arisu
cause how dare they talk about your precious bf like that?
you're kind of a mediator for him, karube, and chota though
hate to say it, but putting these three together inevitably causes stupid ideas to come up
you try to be the voice of reason. sometimes they listen to you, sometimes they don't
karube will playfully call you a 'buzzkill' because you shoot down their dangerous adventures, but it's all with good intent
when you're not around them, karube and chota will definitely hype you up to arisu though
"how did you even manage to pull someone so smart arisu?"
"his dad must be paying her, huh chota?"
on the other side though, sometimes the two of you clash.
arisu undeniably thinks with his heart most of the time. especially outside of games
you tend to stick with your brains and rely on them to get you through tough situations. this can lead to some tough arguments
you think of things logically and he comes at it emotionally, so sometimes it's hard to see eye-to-eye
you both love each other a lot though, so you always figure something out at the end of the day
you trust in your head so you tend to be stubborn and need time to yourself, but he will always rely on his feelings for you to get through these types of things
overall...
expect a lot of praise and reliance from him
he finds you super trustworthy and levelheaded, so your his go-to for anything at anytime
chishiya shuntaro
oh boy, i don't even know where to start with him? let's just say... things can get intense
chishiya is highly intelligent. you are also highly intelligent. this is where you both struggle
you can pick his brain a little too good for his liking and sometimes it bothers him. he can't really get anything past you, and the same goes the other way around
he can tend to get manipulative when things go south, and you match his energy
things that work on anybody else don't work on you, and it kind of freaks him out lol
he likes to be in control of everything around him, which includes the feelings of other people. you don't give him the chance to do this
this leads to a lot of passive aggressiveness and tension
but the tension is honestly the best part of your relationship
there is so much teasing and banter between the two of you
you both play the high-stakes game of 'who can get a smart remark past the other one first' and it makes things really fun
affection can get really exciting between the two of you because of this. after a day full of teasing it's quite interesting to see who breaks first in terms of relationship things
honestly? most of the time it's you, but when you decide to get stubborn and hold out, chishiya gets a little touchy and you find it cute
when you both have a common goal you make a great team
it's very true that two heads are greater than one
when one person makes the plan, the other will go over it and quickly catch any mistakes or holes that are missing
anything that you both work on together is almost unsettlingly perfect
while your smarts can sometimes lead to incompatibility, there are certain things that the two of you understand about each other that no one else does
you both can have really great conversations with each other. you don't have to hold back any of your thoughts because you know chishiya will always understand them, and it's great
you and him look at things objectively all the time, so emotions don't tend to get in the way of things you place higher priority over
both of you need your alone time, so codependency is never an issue
finally, you understand chishiya like nobody else does. you know how his brain works and you know how he views things. the best part about it? you send him no judgement
chishiya doesn't think of you as a chore because he's aware that you're probably the smartest person in a room full of people. he doesn't have to take care of you which is bliss for him
you guys have a lot of inside jokes as well, things so deeply exclusive to only you two that nobody dares to understand
you're a very intimidating couple
it's kind of difficult to make couple friends due to this intimidation factor, so double dates are off the table
chishiya was never much of a people person anyway, so it doesn't bother him
you're perfectly content mentally stimulating each other. things never get boring around him
overall...
you're able to perform the crazy feat of being seen as an equal by the one and only chishiya!
he's clever, but so are you. as much as it can be an annoyance, he actually finds you very entertaining
there's definitely a lot of trust between you two simply because you're one in the same. you know the saying 'don't do anything i wouldn't do'? basically your relationship in a nutshell
karube daikichi
karube is such a showoff LMAO
as a bartender, he comes across a lot of aggressive drunk dudes that aren't afraid to diss him and the things he holds dear to him. his family, his friends, and you as well
as childish as it is, his favorite thing to hit them with is "i bet my s/o is smarter than yours"
he just absolutely loves to use you as bragging rights and it's great
he's constantly learning from you and is extremely interested in anything you say
karube didn't graduate high school. he will absolutely eat up any fact you tell him and loves to learn things from you
he thinks the way that you talk is so captivating and will continuously ask you to repeat yourself just so he can hear you speak
he shares the facts you told him with arisu and chota and feels so smart
when they ask him where he learned that, he will proudly tell them that he got it from you
he doesn't feel inferior to you at all lol, he absolutely worships you
at first you were a bit hesitant to accept how much praise he would give you, but you eased up to it
similar to arisu, compliments compliments compliments
they're all over the place
he will brag about you to anything that breathes, especially when you're around
he actually finds that talking about you to other people is more fun than talking about himself. you're truly his gem and he finds you so special
he really likes to see you in your element and could watch you for hours
whether it's math, science, art, or whatever you're good at
when you start to really get into something, you focus on it entirely and he finds it super interesting to watch
he likes to watch the little habits you do. the only one he's pointed out to you is how you tap your thumb on the pads of your other fingers back and forth
he likes to hear you get logical
he sometimes tells you about the people that come into the bar and spill their life stories
when he does this, he will purposefully ask you to break down your thoughts so he can get an understanding of what your brain is thinking
"well obviously the reason his wife is asking him to clean up the dishes is because she's trying hard to get a promotion at work and comes home tired everyday! how can he not see that? she's not working hard for nothing..."
"really, babe? i didn't think of it that way"
he especially enjoys it when you start to criticize people and get a little snarky with them. he witnessed it once when someone was giving you attitude and he thought it was the hottest thing he had ever seen
you basically broke down their emotions for them and matched their tone, but did it in such a cool way lol his heart was pounding
overall...
karube thinks your smarts are such an amazing feature
he can't match them but he's totally okay with it, because now he has a smart s/o that is totally better than anybody else's

Over the Amphu, Into the Khumbu (P1)
Part 3 of Jake Norton's blog
There’s a character to the alpine world that is perhaps indescribable, a tenor to the air and sky and wind and light that permeates everything in such a way that it defies words, defies any attempt at pinning it down in mere words. It is a feeling, an immutable presence enveloping everyone and everything, pressing down upon not in a negative, but in a profoundly positive way, a way that reminds without any pretense subtlety that we humans are but tiny specks, simple visitors to this wild realm, creatures of such little consequence to the magnificence and omnipotence of the surrounding vastness that we might as well not even be there.
Sam Heughan and Jhanak Karki trek through the Upper Hunku Valley near Seto Pokhari.
And yet there we were, awestruck.
Leaving the windswept hamlet of Kongme Dingma, our team entered into that world immediately. A short climb from the valley brought brought us to panoramic views of the high peaks: Chamlang (the ever present), Kali Himal (AKA Chota Ri), Baruntse, and far in the distance, the imposing South Faces of Lhotse and Nuptse with Everest peeking out just above. Stunning.
From here upward, the Upper Hunku Valley is reminiscent of Khumbu - broad valleys and rushing water flanked on all sides by impossibly high, jagged massifs - but with one huge difference: no people. Up here, unlike Khumbu, there are no villages, no lodges, no trekkers or helicopters, no cell service. In the high Hunku it was as it had been for days before: just us.
Jhanak, Aashish, and Sam play some intense Rummy 500 trailside.
Chamlang and camp, Upper Hunku Valley, Nepal.
Seto Pokhari catches the reflection of Lhotse, Nuptse, and Peak 6764.
Hem Rai enjoys the views in the Upper Hunku.
Seto Pokhari and the peaks of the Upper Hunku Valley.
Paanch Pokhari luminous in the Upper Hunku.
We had three days in the upper valley, following a faint-but-solid trail that meandered along the turquoise Hunku; its glacial waters - beginning in the lakes of Seto and Paanch Pokhari - carry fine sediments ground out of the high peaks, sediments so tiny (just a few microns in diameter) they remain suspended in the water, absorbing most blue light and reflecting back the natural green of the water (with some blue) - plus the natural sunlight - creating an otherworldly vividness in this stark world.
With each step upward, altitude records continued to be set for Sam and Jhanak, and new view emerged for us all. Here a peek of Makalu, there a new aspect of Kangtega, Peak 41, Chamlang, or any of the countless unnamed jags of the valley. The toils of altitude, the panting lungs and burning legs, all dissipate under the spell of the high country.
Eventually we made it to our final camp, a beautiful scree shoulder above the upper Paanch Pokhari (paanch means five, and pokhari means pond or small lake) and just below Kami Himal/Chota Ri and the Amphu Laptsa. The December cold set upon us quickly, so we made it a brief evening with heartfelt goodbyes to most of our team: going over the pass would only be Sam, Jhanak, Tshering, Harka, and I along with three porters, Manbir Rai, Hem Rai, and Septa Rai, while the rest would trek together back to Chheskam.
Peak 6764 rises high above the Hunku.
Kali Himal (Chota Ri) stands guard over high camp and Sam's tent in the Hunku
The team at dawn: Jhanak Karki, Sam Heughan, Tshering Dorje Sherpa, and Harka Kulung Rai.
Sam Heughan moving up high on the south side of the Amphu Laptsa.
Panorama from midway up the Amphu Laptsa, looking south down the Hunku Valley.
The wild summit of Peak 41 rises into the blue sky.
Sam Heughan making his way up the Amphu Laptsa at about 18,900 feet.
A short night with a full moon found us awake at 5:30 AM ready to begin the climb. It’s not a long one up to the Amphu Laptsa - an ascent of just 1,200 feet - but that is compounded by the altitude plus a technical descent and long walk on the other side making for a solid day. And, a primary rule of the mountains is to always leave a window of daylight just in case: hence, an early start.
From camp, the route up the Amphu is interesting, but never desperate or dangerous. Steep slabs offer significant exposure, but are well-protected by via ferrata-style fixed lines added in recent years. After about 1.5 hours, we crested the prayer-flag crowned top and allowed ourselves time to savor the hard-earned view. From the Amphu, the landscape seems of a dream, and unreal mosaic of spires and walls, glaciers and lakes, blue skies and solitude forever. As I always do, I placed a few kathas at the highest point, offerings of blessings and remembrance for my family, my friends, for humanity, for our world, uttered a silent prayer to any divine presence nearby, and returned to our group a couple dozen feet below.
It was then that a problem arose. I’d like to say it was someone else’s, but ultimately as leader the bock stops with me, so it was mine, and I own it. During trip planning, I had insisted that all members planning to cross the Amphu - and especially any porters - must have traction devices (crampons or microspikes) at minimum. While mountain-hardy and well-heeled, our porters Manbir, Hem, and Septa are still of course human, prone to error and missteps. And, on the descent from the Amphu, an error or misstep will quite quickly lead to a cartwheeling 1,200 foot fall to the valley below. In short, death.

Steep slopes on the north side of the Amphu Laptsa.
Jhanak Karki (left) and Sam Heughan (right) high on the Amphu Laptsa Pass in Nepal. Lhotse and Everest are the primary peaks in the background.
Obviously not a possibility I was willing to even entertain, so I was more than surprised to look down and see them beginning to descend fixed lines without any traction, only Chinese sneakers on polished snow and ice. Yikes.
After letting my stomach stop flip-flopping for a moment, I quickly put on my crampons and rushed down to our porters, our friends, and began making the situation right. There was no way to magically make traction devices appear, so I did what was my only option: made them drop their loads - I’d shuttle the gear to safety - and help them descend safely, chopping out steps where needed, having them stand on my boots when necessary, and hold on to both me and the fixed ropes for safety. It was a long and tedious process taking the better part of 1.5 hours (along with lowering the loads down a particularly steep section with help from Tshering and Harka), but eventually we got it done.
Sam Heughan silhouetted against the South Face of Lhotse (and Imjatse barely discernable in the foreground).
As another twist, in my haste to ensure the porters were safe, I had left Sam and Jhanak atop the pass with no more than a Schwarzenegger-esque “I’ll be back” to keep them safely in place. Fortunately, I know both of them well enough to know they’d be fine: the top of the pass is safe, the skies were clear, and both are level-headed people. Sure enough, when I got back up, they were concerned, but no worse for wear. We began the descent, with both Sam and Jhanak making it look like second nature, clipping fixed lines, rappelling steep slopes, and using crampons and technical equipment without issue.

Twilight on the high peaks.
With a sigh of relief, we reached the valley floor - all eight of us - a couple hours later, all in one piece. The hazard was behind, the stress abated, and all we had left was a 6-mile stroll through mesmerizing country to the village of Chukhung and our first roof and bed in 10 days. This last bit was uneventful-but-sublime, softening light warming the massif of the Lhotse-Nuptse wall as we strolled, alone, down valley.
We’d now shifted gears in a big way, we’d left the solitude and remoteness of the Hunku for the relative modernity and front-country-ness of the Khumbu. I won’t say it was bad - I’ve made many a trip up the Khumbu since my first in 1993, and it’s always wonderful, always showing its charms. But, after being utterly immersed in a landscape for some time with no distractions, nothing but us and the mountains, sky, and wind, it was more than a bit jarring for us all to reenter the world once again, phones pinging and helis overhead.

YESSSSSS GOING INSANE GOING FERAL
IWAIZUMI AS HALF-INDIAN HEADCANNONS
- Iwaizumi’s mother is from Delhi, India. She grew up in the capital city and had a shop of hand woven clothing with her family when she was young.
- His father was a tourist visiting India and that’s how he met Iwaizumi’s mother.
-When Iwaizumi was little, his classmates would make fun of him for not being fully Japanese. They would tease his darker skin color, his faint Indian accent when speaking Japanese, the Indian food his mom would put in his bento. Oikawa defended him, and that’s how they became friends.
- Oikawa would take a piece of paratha from Iwaizumi’s bento every now and then. His mother cooks really well and Oikawa enjoys eating her food. -Iwaizumi gets Oikawa to try his maternal grandmother’s naan bread that he cooked (because Oikawa eats way too much milk bread; he should broaden his tastes).
-Alongside Godzilla, baby Iwaizumi loved Krrish (it’s an Indian superhero movie I used to love, don’t judge me) He would always watch the movies. He looked up to him and wanted to be strong like him. He dressed up as Krrish one Halloween night and Oikawa thought his costume looked cool.
- Iwaizumi got Oikawa into Bollywood movies when they were younger. Even when they’re older, Oikawa still likes watching Bollywood movies (w/ subs) with him. He likes the cheesy repetitive romance movies, while Iwaizumi prefers the action movies.
- Oikawa considers three people to be more beautiful than himself; his mother, his sister, and Iwaizumi’s mother.
- Iwaizumi’s mother always wears the prettiest sarees and suits . Her thick, black hair reaches her waist and she keeps it in a long pony. Her dark skin is shiny because she does a maalish (oil massage) on her body before taking a bath. She did this technique with Iwaizumi when he was a baby, and his skin shines too.
- Iwaizumi’s hair is thicker and softer than Oikawa’s because he puts oil in his hair before washing it. This technique is common among Indian people for thicker hair.
- Whenever the Seijoh volleyball team goes on long trips for away games, Iwaizumi wears super comfortable kurta pajamas because they’re more comfortable than the track suit.
- Along with Japanese, Iwaizumi is fluent in Hindi and English, which are the languages spoken in Delhi. - Iwaizumi always goes to festivals with Oikawa, but he also ALWAYS makes time for his mother. They’ll have small Holi and Diwali celebrations in their backyard with Oikawa’s family invited. Iwaizumi is glad to see his mother smiling since she’s always homesick.
- Iwaizumi and his father plan for her family to come visit Japan from Delhi since she misses them a lot. It eventually happens. His mother starts crying at the surprise but she is so happy and she showers her son and husband with kisses.
- His mother’s side of the family is incredibly large. Lots of uncles, aunties, and cousins of all ages. The baby cousins try to befriend Oikawa’s nephew, Takeru, but they don’t understand Japanese and he doesn’t understand Hindi. Good thing Iwaizumi is their translator and they end up playing a great game of cricket together.
- Iwaizumi calls Oikawa his ‘jaan’ (meaning: Life. A Hindi word which is a term of endearment you call someone who completes you) because they are platonic soulmates. Oikawa doesn’t understand the word one bit but he just tells Iwa-chan he loves him, too.
- Iwaizumi has probably hit Oikawa with the ‘chappal’ (slipper worn at home) at least once.
- Iwaizumi and Oikawa eventually go on a trip to America. Some asshole tells Iwaizumi “You’re not Asian, you’re Indian”. Iwaizumi punches them in the face. (as he should)
#ok first of all i should preface this by saying im from a diff part of india that iwa so what i call things may be diff#imagine iwas mum meeting akiras mum like yesssss#paraatha my beloved mmmm#ok i also imagine iwa would watch chota Bheem and him and oikawa eould eat ladoos to get strong#yesss iwa hindi real#actually ive been meaning to get better at hindi as im just guessing my way thru it atm LOL#my new motivation: become iwachan#awww holi celebrations yasss#LMAO I LOVE IWAS INDIAN SIDE BEING HUGE#my dads side is so big idk whos who and im too scared to ask everyones uncle or auntie#im so normal abt iwa calling oikawa meri jaan#iwa reaches down to get his chappal and oikawa starts SPRINTING#i share iwas sentiment WHERE ELSE IS INDIA THEN? EUROPE?

I'm not sure if anyone has sent you some ideas yet, but HERE YOU GO!!!
Alice in Borderland tickle ideas comin' right up 😎🍽
Switch Chishiya and switch Kuina.
Their friendship seems so sweet, they have like a sibling bond I feel. Chishiya would definitely play around and act silly with Kuina, which results with her poking him to quit it.. Which also results in Chishiya taking it like a, "oh this is how we're doing things?" or something like that, so now Chishiya has officially started the tickle fight!! (Hear me out, Chishiya always loses. Kuina was in martial arts.. He's FUCKED!)
Switch Usagi and switch Arisu
these two would also have SO MANY tickle fights. And they both LOVE IT!!! Arisu would love the sound of Usagi's laugh and how she looks when smiling, while Usagi loves the way how Arisu is reacting to her tickling him, and the way he ALSO smile. They both are so sweet 😭
Arisu would mostly be the one on the receiving end, but there would be rare days where Usagi would be the one to lose a tickle fight as well!
Lee Chota and Ler Arisu
This ones really short, but it makes sense. With all that anxiety and stress built up inside of this man, Arisu would most likely tickle him to release that stress!!
And honestly, it helps everytime!!!
(These are all I have, but if I think of more I'll definitely come back!!)
ANON! I don't know who you are, but we are officially besties! You're the only one that sent anything in! I love you so much! /platonic THANK YOU SO MUCH!! ❤️🫡😭🥰
Anyway!! YES! TO ALL OF THESE! Kuina and Chishiya are so sibling coded, and this would absolutely happen! And yes Chishiya's brain is no match for Kuina's martial arts! I'm sorry to my husband, but you're fucked like anon said! And we love it!! 🫶
I LOVE USAGI AND ARISU SO MUCH! THEY WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TICKLES TOGETHER AND HAVE SO MANY TICKLE FIGHTS! I JUMPED WITH HAPPINESS WHEN YOU SENT THIS! I genuinely think that this would be their favorite form of intimacy/way to bond with each other. They thrive off of each other's giggles! We've seen it time and time again in the episodes! (I pray that their type of love finds me one day 🥰)
And I saw your other anon! I mixed them up, too but yesss!! I loved Tatta so much and their friendship! (Spoiler) but rip angel! Anyway! Arisu would absolutely help out with this baby's anxiety! After the tag game and during Osmosis, and after in my version where everything is fine! Oh! And at the beach too! He's just one of Arisu's new favorite tickle targets! But hey! Tatta never complains!
Bonus: For Chota, though, too: Him, Arisu, and Karube all have tickle fights! Alot! I wrote a fic about it!
Anyway! I LOVE THIS THANK YOU! You've made my day! 😭🥰🫶 I will happily take anything you've got if you ever think of more too!

Rajpal Yadav’s Shahjahanpur property sealed over unpaid loan: Reports
Rajpal Yadav, a Bollywood actor, is facing financial difficulties after the Central Bank of India sealed his property in Shahjahanpur. The actor had mortgaged the home to get a loan for his production company, Shri Naurang Godavari Entertainment Limited. Yadav's production company, legally owned by his wife Radha Yadav, planned to make a film starring himself and the late actor Om Puri. The film also included Shahjahanpur-based talent. However, the enterprise appears to have reached a stumbling block.
According to reports, the loan, first obtained from the Central Bank of India's Mumbai branch, escalated to a whopping Rs 11 crore due to missing installments. Due to the rising debt, the bank decided to seal the property on August 8. Interestingly, the procedure was conducted out discreetly, with no involvement from local authorities.
With that said, neither the bank nor the actor have issued an official remark on the topic. This is not the first time the actor has had legal problems with this loan. Rajpal Yadav was sentenced to three months in prison in 2018 after failing to repay the loan. Despite the setback, the performer maintained a wonderful spirit. Rajpal Yadav spoke with prominent YouTuber Siddharth Kannan last year about his prison experience. He said that he offered workshops for other detainees, inspiring them to find purpose and optimism. The actor's ability to turn adversity into an opportunity to help others is admirable.
On the professional front, Rajpal is eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming flicks, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Welcome To The Jungle.

The team at dawn: Jhanak Karki, Sam Heughan, Tshering Dorje Sherpa, and Harka

To be honest, there’s not much to share about our journey from Chukhung to Gorak Shep that hasn’t been written about before. We trekked Chukhung to Lobuche, then Lobuche to Gorak Shep, all under the watchful eye of the high peaks. Once at Gorak Shep, we had a bit of food and geared up to watch a ferociously cold sunset from the top of Kala Pattar, the quasi-peak that fins off of Pumori and gives one of the better vantage points of Everest.
The hike up Kala Pattar was again uneventful, it being a simple trail going up about an hour to a rocky bit at 18,450 feet. Once there, we tucked into some rocks to shield from the wind, and prepared to watch the nature’s fireworks light up the sky. While certainly cold, we took the edge off with some of Sam’s special Scottish treats: shortbread and sweets, and of course a dram of Sassenach whiskey to make it all complete. And, the mountain obliged: From Kala Pattar, the upper Southwest Face of Everest is uniquely visible between Nuptse and the West Shoulder, and being the highest, it stays lit by the setting sun after everything else has gone dark. We sat and watched, largely in silence aside from our shivers, as shadows danced pirouettes across the landscape and the world made a slow fade from whites to amber hues, then to vivid reds and oranges, eventually dipping to the cold, dark blue of twilight.

AIB MEN DATING HEAD-CANNONS ⋆˚࿔
Arisu, Karube and Chishiya
Warning: mischaracterization, own AU, bad English, new writer.
This is my first time writing headcannons in english EVER, so i'd appreciate some tips! I'm looking forward to get better!! I hope I did good and I'm writing this at 2 am, so I'm very sorry if there's errors in my grammar!
1 - Ryohei Arisu ⊹₊⟡⋆
(In my au he is still a gamer, but he actually hangs out a lot with his/your friend group)
1) Definitely awkward at first but slowly gets more confident and bold.
2) You both have game nights often and/or stream together.
3) He isn't the type to make the first move, unless Karube and Chota somehow convince him to do it.
4) Not really a physical touch type of person, but he doesn't mind getting kissed or holding hands in public.
5) You both probably met throught mutual friends, and fell in love at first sight.
2 - Karube Daikichi ⊹₊
1) You met in a party or at his bartending job!
2) Loves showing you off to anyone, he's proud of what he bagged frfr🙏🏼
3) Will start a fight with someone who started talking shit about you.
4) He made the first move, complimenting you or asking for your number.
5) He does NOT mind physical touch and you both would probably make out in public.
3 - Chishiya Shuntaro ⊹
1) You'd be the one to confess since he was too stubborn to admit he actually liked you 😔
2) He's usually calm and reserved his emotions in him, but somehow you'd always find out if there was something wrong with him.
3) He has a soft spot to you, and he's always less cold and sarcastic to you!
4) He doesn't like physical touch in public, the max he could do is a peck on the cheek or holding hands, HOWEVER in private he's REALLY REALLY touchy.
5) You both met when you were children, and he had a crush on you ever since.
Unfortunately that's it, if any other smau/fic creators are reading this please give me some tips! I recently just got into writing and I'm really no good at it. ⊹₊
