A little over 12 hours post gallbladder removal and I’m starting to feel a little pain 😅I’m sure it doesn’t help that one of the cats stepped on an incision in the middle of the night 🤷🏼‍♀️
Alternating between using a heating pad on my back, ice packs on my incisions, and walking a few laps in between resting. Took two of my prescription meds so far and one dose of Tylenol 👍🏻
Definitely hearing/feeling more gas rumbles moving around in my abdomen.
Overall the pain feels comparable to what I’ve been dealing with for months/years now. Bit of abdomen tenderness and gas pain in my shoulders.
Fingers crossed this is the worst of it 😊🤞🏻

Can anyone give me tips on how to survive life without a gallbladder? Without having to spend your whole life blasting off on the toilet? 😂
I take the enzymes & it makes me only have a low-budget colon cleanse once a day instead of multiple, but it's still painful lol

I usually don’t post too much of my personal life but I’m going to talk about something that got worse when before I turned 30 years old in February. A year ago in September my back hurts and it got worse. Then my stomach hurts from Gastritis. Still didn’t feel good so I went to different doctors and advocate for myself to get an ultrasound on my stomach. Turns out they found a polyp on my gallbladder that needs to be removed. Along with that, I had panic attacks more often out of nowhere. Got my gallbladder removed but my back still hurts and spasming so I went back to a different doctor and he ordered me a request a X-ray. Turns out I have dextroscleriosis. I thought I was going to live in pain for my whole life but I got 90% better. Now I’m taking Prozac for my anxiety and I just realize that I stop biting my nails.
Moral of the story is that you have to advocate for yourself when you know you don’t feel right especially as a woman and having a panic attack does feel like getting a heart attack.

My surgery went well! They found some other issues with my gallbladder, so it's good that they removed it. I'm very bruised and sore today, but I know it will all be worth it in the end :)

The average weight of a gallbladder in a healthy adult ranges from 2 to 3 ounces (50 to 85 grams). Situated beneath the liver, this small organ plays a vital role in digestion by storing bile, which aids in breaking down fats. Factors like age, gender, and overall health can influence gallbladder weight. Surgical removal, or cholecystectomy, is a common intervention for issues like gallstones. Understanding the normal weight of the gallbladder provides insights into digestive system health, and variations may indicate underlying conditions impacting this essential organ's function.

Gallstones and Fatigue: What You Need to Know
Hey there Tumblr fam, have you ever experienced fatigue and dizziness along with abdominal pain? If so, it could be a sign of gallstones. Gallstones are solid particles that form in the gallbladder and can cause a range of symptoms, including pain, nausea, and vomiting. But did you know that they can also cause fatigue and dizziness?
Gallstones can cause fatigue and weakness in several ways. Firstly, when they block the bile ducts, the flow of bile from the liver to the small intestine is interrupted. This can lead to inflammation and damage to the liver cells, which can cause fatigue and weakness. Secondly, gallstones can cause a decrease in the absorption of nutrients from the small intestine, which can lead to malabsorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins. This can also cause fatigue and weakness. Lastly, gallstones can cause anemia, which is a condition where the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen to the tissues. Anemia can cause fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath.
If you have gallstones and are experiencing fatigue and dizziness, it is important to speak with your doctor. Your doctor may recommend lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. In some cases, your doctor may recommend surgery to remove the gallbladder. This procedure, called cholecystectomy, is minimally invasive and requires only a few small incisions.
It's important to note that not all gallstones cause symptoms, and some people may not even realize they have them. However, if you are experiencing any symptoms of gallstones, it's important to speak with your doctor to determine the best course of treatment. By managing your symptoms, you can improve your overall health and quality of life.
Take care of yourselves, Tumblr friends!
