My upcoming project is on the way: Sally Ann Howes performing "Doll on a Music Box" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968). I've always adored her outfit in this scene, and I've long dreamed of creating a ~truly~ beautiful illustration inspired by it. 🥹

Mamma Mia:

It seems like everyone is having a blast and doing their best. Making music together and doing achievable choreography in a group is basically a drug, and they're all high on it. Both the young and older sets of 3 best girl friends are unfailingly supportive of each other. The Dancing Queen sequence makes me cry and i can't even really wrap words around why. They're living a life where the day before her wedding, the main character has a swimsuit on under her clothes and can just jump in the ocean and sail around on a boat instead of setting stuff up. It's a fever dream of sparkly water and sparkly costumes and i love it.
