immediately after the broodmother fight, pax starts walking into a random tunnel; dropping his sword. doesn’t make a sound, doesn’t speak. simply walks off. if the warden notices and turns him around, he has darkspawn blood staining and dripping from his mouth. he’s already being corrupted by the blight. he’ll say he made a mistake. needs to go. please do not follow. with what’s left of his mind, he’s trying to get as far away from them as possible. hope he does not find them. it’s best for the warden to let him go, otherwise they’ll have to fight a blighted abomination.

There are many uniquely enchanted weapons. The Blackwater Blade absorbs fatigue, Chillrend deals frost damage, and Wigglebane Supreme rips people’s souls out of their nostrils.

Faal Hah Wuld, pt. 27 "Shor"
https://archiveofourown.org/works/44876353/chapters/163964452
------------------------------------
Dragonrend is a dragon shout that weakens a dragon and forces it to land. It is said to do so by forcing a dragon to experience mortality, a completely foreign concept to the ageless and immortal dragons. For this very reason, it is impossible for any dragon to learn Dragonrend.
-----------------------------
The talk of the dream had Sadrith thinking. Not of the dream itself. But that one thing - the fear of what Father would do, that tumbled another recurring thought out the other side.
Mama? Who is my father?
She had asked her mother that question many times, and each time she seemed to get a different answer.
He was an arrogant ass not worth knowing.
The ash carried you to me, does it matter?
There was no father. I found you under a scathecraw leaf.
You were a gift from the ancestors.
Kogolanu had said that last bit many times, and patted her head or given her a hug.
She never doubted she was loved. Her mother always made it clear how much she'd wanted a child, how happy she was to have her. I thought I was beyond having children. I was married for two hundred years and never once did my womb quicken. But then, when I thought my courses were done and over with...
Then she'd look at Sadrith and a smile would cross her wrinkled face. Sometimes there'd be a kiss on the forehead.
You are my little mushroom. A welcome life sprung up from death.
And then she would tell some ashlander tale, or mention some little mischief Sadrith had gotten into and joke that Boethiah walked closely behind her. The subject would be changed.
Well, whoever her father was, no doubt he was much better than what poor Lorkhan had - having Sithis for a father would be worse than anything. What sort of parent would the master of the void be?
"Sadrith?"
She jolted out of her thoughts. "Hmm?"
"I think we're getting close. Do you hear anything? Any whispers?"
"No...do you?"
A pause.
"Not yet...but I expect we both will, soon, given Umbra's nature. I don't understand why you insisted on this."
"We get the sword," she said, "We get to Winterhold. We throw it into the sea or something like that. I'm sure that we'll figure out something."
"You are far too optimistic that this will end well."
"I have enough to worry about without thinking about something that hasn't even happened yet." She took a deep breath, and tried not to let the sting of Voryn's words get to her. He'd said as much enough times before - why should this feel any worse than it had before? Yet there it was - the ground beneath her mind giving way and dropping her into that cold silence that swallowed her whole.
But he's right, she thought, He would know. I should be less like I am...maybe more like he is. Nothing in, nothing out. Stoic.
And then a feeling, like a hand trailing over skin...but beneath it.
The Heart does not make itself small for the weak.
I am not making myself small...I'm tired of being mocked.
(Him. HE, the very same she had been told stories in, who she had been told was dead and gone, was again awake, and she had never wanted her mother so much as she did then.)
There had been mention of a mace being dropped by the cave door, and she was relieved to see it. She drew out Chillrend, and cast Candlelight.
"You don't feel any strange inclinations right now, do you?"
"No." It was a struggle not to say more, but she managed it.
Somehow.
On a table in the first room she picked up a note which she read aloud:
I, Cassipia Sagnus, Vigilant of Stendarr, do hereby issue this report on my investigation into the reports of a "dark presence" within Champion's Rest.
Champion's Rest is the site of an ancient battle arena where Nords would test their mettle in gladiatorial combat. Long believed to be lost to time, it was recently uncovered by mining prospectors near Shor's Stone after discovering a new deposit of silver.
Upon discovery, the miners say they witnessed a "ghost, clad head to toe in armor". While this alone was cause for concern, what they said next was even more foreboding: the spirit wielded a massive blade which seemed to "whisper" to them in their minds. This hints at the workings of a powerful Daedric artifact.
The only relic that matches this description is Umbra, once believed to be lost or, by some accounts, destroyed. Umbra is a sentient weapon who corrupts its bearer and compels them to kill so that the blade may feast on the souls of those it slays. It appears to have resurfaced here, though why I cannot say.
If the apparition that haunts this site truly is the resurgence of Umbra, then it has grown very powerful, and Shor's Stone is in grave danger.
The moment she was done reading she set it back down and started forward.
"Are you not going to form some sort of a plan before forging ahead like this?"
"No. I've dealt with things like this before."
"This is different."
"If you are going to act like this, I'll do it on my own. As I always have." The words were colder than she meant them, but they achieved the purpose she meant them to - it silenced him.
She was tired of his mocking, tired of his doubting. She wanted that silent certainty again. If it meant feeling low, that was a fair enough price...and her ill feeling never attacked her as some peoples' did. It was a void. It simply was.
And in many ways it was almost like a friend, but sometimes -
I am alone.
She kept ahead, so he wouldn't see her cringe.
Stop. Stop, this isn't the time. This isn't the TIME.
Then as if by way of a broken dam the rushing river was back, and she took a shaky breath in an attempt to force it back.
(Again, that feeling of being brushed beneath the skin. But this time, there was no voice.)
Voryn readied a spell in both hands once they'd passed through the silver mine and fired them at the ghostly figure that appeared at the center gate.
But it vanished before his spells crossed even half the distance.
"Locked gate..." she said, going up to check it. "No, it's not locked. There's two parts to this thing...so I guess we'll have to investigate the other two passages."
"You're sure about that?"
She didn't answer. She wanted to shout and scream at him, give an outlet to the sudden irrational anger running in her head. Did he have confidence in NOTHING? It made no sense. It made no sense at all.
Silence, noise. Void, chaos.
SILENCE! she shouted in her mind. I WANT SILENCE!
Thankfully, on solving the puzzle in the eastern side passage and pulling the lever in the main room, it finally came.
The familiar sound of stone breaking.
It was wonderful to enter the state that followed, the certain way forward that carried her sword through those undead draugr. Voryn must have shot down a few, for when she looked up from her last kill there were some burned on the ground.
Automatically, she moved off to the next chamber - and seeing the oil pot above almost immediately, struck it down with an arrow.
"Are you MAD?"
"Better to have it burn now than soak our boots," Sadrith replied flatly. She thought of adding that she did this all the time, but decided against it. He would doubt her anyway.
Another rotation puzzle.
These are so obvious...any fool could figure them out.
Any LIVE fool.
What? She yanked the lever, and then wordlessly headed back to the main chamber.
Little heart, you do not see. This was not meant to keep you out. It was meant to keep them in.
Sadrith shivered - and then stiffened when she saw the waiting figure ahead.
It was not Umbra, but a dragon priest which turned and shouted almost immediately.
"FUS...RO DAH!"
Both she and Voryn tumbled, and she scrambled back to her feet with Chillrend still in hand. The dragon priest moved too quickly - so she shouted, "TIID KLO UI!"
The world seemed to slow down around her. The shock of the dragon priest was obvious, despite not being able to see (his? her?) face. There were dragon tongue words said, but she hardly heard them.
And then, a different Shout from him - instead of the FUS RO DAH she was expecting.
"AL-DU-IN!"
The rushing river returned in full force--more than running, it screamed and roared. In her mind's eye Sadrith saw Alduin, limp, lifeless - and then looking at her again as he had in the painting with Dibella's brush.
I need something to make the shadow solid. The immortal mortal, but I cannot do that myself, it must be them, faal joor.
Dagoth Ur all but shouted in her mind in words she could not understand -- apart, together. There was then the feeling of confinement, of being pushed. Then that swirling chaos cut through and away, as it had been with the sword of Jyggalag. The storm was outside what he was doing, she could FEEL it, but -
She moved forward, half stumbling (where was Voryn?) to strike at the priest.
Again he shouted. "AL-DU-IN!"
Lokkiim, go to Paarthurnax. Go, and teach the mortals dragon-speech. Use not my name. Joorre rahgot. It is risky, this plan, but it must be done.
He growled in pain, but turned to face her one more time, raised his rotted arms as if casting a spell, and shouted one last time.
"AL-DU-IN!"
Once more she saw Alduin, limp but looking right at her with his dead eyes.
Why did I not absorb his soul like the rest? was a question that had burned at her until it didn't, until she went back into Shor's Hall and feasted until it was time to leave. Until she had forgotten it.
Why? Why?
A look down at herself from above, in Sovngarde.
Why did I not take his soul?
And then another thought, discordant more so than the rest, a thought she was sure wasn't Dagoth Ur, and didn't belong.
How can you take that which is already yours?
Mu gein, we serve the same end, dovahkiin.
Kill. Kill them all, bring the end!
Nil kren, time is short and Father is strong. Do not listen. Do not give in or all We have worked for is lost.
"We? I'm not you - this isn't--" (Where was she? Was this still Real or not?)
Madness. Logic. Fire. Shadow. Warrior. Emperor. One. Eleven. Ayleid. You must have the parts of Us to have a chance, kendov. And the weapon, silnaak, you must have the weapon. Tiidsizaan.
Then she looked suddenly once more at the dragon priest.
But it seemed all the fight had gone out of the dragon priest. He let himself be cut down, didn't fight a bit as she moved to lop off an arm, and was killed within the minute with nothing more than a final word.
"Shor."
The river, the rushing, constant chaos leaped up to drown her, left her shrieking -
- and then receded slowly, leaving Sadrith breathing hard and staring down at the remains of the dragon priest. But there was no time to linger - she heard ahead the sound of armored boots stepping loudly.
She turned to see where Voryn was, and saw him on the ground, as if he'd simply collapsed.
Leave him. We don't need him - there are more important things to deal with.
"I'm not leaving him here."
You think I care to hold back your madness forever?
"And let the Heart go out of your influence?" was the first thing Sadrith could think to say. It must have worked, for Dagoth Ur said nothing more afterward.
She knelt over Voryn's body, noting his eyes were wide open. She didn't feel his heart beating - but it hadn't done that before. And out of ideas, not knowing what else to do, knowing she'd do better against Umbra or its wielder with help -
She cut her wrist and laid the cut on his lips so the blood would trickle into his mouth and lay her other hand on his head to cast a healing spell.
Get up, she thought, trying to will it, I SAID GET UP!
The magic tingled in her fingers - and a moment later he sputted. Then the blood must have crossed his tongue, because the next moment his hands came up to clench at her fingers and wrist. He drank from that slight fountain greedily, until at last he seemed to come back to himself and pushed it back.
"You can't keep doing that," he said, wiping the remaining drops of blood on his lips, "You can't, you KNOW--"
"So next time I should just leave you dead?" She scoffed and stood. "On your feet. I think Umbra's close, so I'm going to need you."
He hesitated. Only briefly, but he did.
Sadrith groaned and went on. "Or I could just do it alone, like I do everything else."
"Are you trying to tell me something?"
"No. I'm done trying to tell you anything." Sadrith relit Candlelight and kept walking, noting the pressure plates on the ground and telling him where to step around. The bodies were many, and she could swear some of the bodies had been ash zombies. There were a few stormcloaks, even a Thalmor or two. "Is that cautious enough for you? Maybe I should have listened to Dagoth Ur and left you where you fell."
She knew it was a mistake to say that but the urge to speak the words had come and she was feeling just - too overwhelmed not to let them come out.
"First Dagoth Ur, now Umbra and this Alduin business...and you keep pushing and prodding me at every turn. It's as if the world wants to push me into a rage."
She was afraid of the idea. It had been exciting before but now...
"Alduin business? Whatever happened, I knew nothing. He shouted, 'Alduin' and the next thing I know I had your blood in my mouth."
He might be eager for a change of subject. Maybe he didn't like it when the subject of his ire actually talked back. He was lucky, she thought, that she was eager for a change too.
"He shouted Alduin and I saw Alduin," Sadrith said. "When--I fought him with the Nord heroes, I didn't absorb his soul."
"You told me this already. Why did it matter?"
"Because I absorb the soul of EVERY dragon that I've fought. I never did with Alduin, and when I--when I..." She took a deep breath. "In that vision, or whatever it was, I saw Alduin's dead body look up and me...and I heard a voice I'm sure wasn't his, but...it said 'You can't take what's already yours.'"
"What's already yours..."
There was a pause when they saw the ghost again. It stopped, turned, walked ahead, and then vanished again.
"I know you're tired of hearing this, but..."
"I know. I need to be careful. I need to watch out. Constantly. For Dagoth Ur, for this, for..."
"For the urge to destroy, as Alduin wanted."
"So now you think me a threat?"
"You are a Shezarrine, you were born a threat," he said, "But this idea that you are ALDUIN, it lends to the thought that he was one too."
"He was the firstborn of Akatosh--"
"And in some circles that no longer exist," Voryn replied calmly, "Lorkhan was said to have been cleaved from Akatosh. Could that not be called a birth?"
"Then why Alduin? Why the different name?"
"Why was I Dagoth Ur?"
He had her there.
"Let us finish this business with Umbra. Then I swear I will talk it out with you."
The matter of Dagoth Ur "assisting" her could be dropped. She had a handle on it, on him. If he became a problem later, THEN she would mention him. But for now, considering she had MAYBE half a bottle of skooma, she wouldn't say no to some help.
And this shit with Alduin. What in the hell kind of sense did that make? Why would SHE be Alduin if Alduin was Alduin? More importantly what sense did it make to have the Last Dragonborn defeat him while BEING him?
At the same time...
She thought back to Helgen, to that moment she'd made eye contact with Alduin. The moment she'd wondered just how much worse the day could get. He Shouted and all oblivion had broken loose.
More bodies. Ash zombies, who looked to be more decayed than the random Stormcloaks and stray Thalmor.
"How did they all get down here?"
"I have no idea," he replied.
She could feel Voryn's eyes on her again when they entered what was clearly an arena.
Kill.
"This will be easy," she said.
Kill.
The ebony figure advanced.
KILL!
"Don't let me go mad," Sadrith said suddenly, looking up at Voryn as she drew her sword. "I'll...explain--after."

WIP Whenever~
Oh, I managed to remember what day it was today! HEY. (: So I have a bit to share. Excuse the [redacted] as I preserve some semblance of a surprise when you guys get to this part in the story.
I wasn't tagged yet, so I'll start the train with the most esteemed: @paraparadigm, @changelingsandothernonsense, @thana-topsy, @thequeenofthewinter, @friend-of-giants, @the-storytellers-seer, @rhiannon1199, @saltymaplesyrup, @tallmatcha, @archangelsunited, @snippetsrus, @oblivions-dawn, @gilgamish -- leaving some of ya'll to tag each other and feel free to tag me anyway so I can see what you're working on!!
Here's the longer collection of snippets from Chapter 26. Not quite the last lines, because spoilery. BUT do enjoy the ~chaos~ lol
More than the fire had, the Shout began to melt its frozen exterior. The place had felt wrong before, but something had warped in the collision. Where the room had been pristine and so carefully constructed, it was now returning to a state of chaos. [Redacted] reeled, seeming to shrink, if that was possible. It was losing grip on its magic. More and more of its lair started to fall away back into the void, or else Oblivion; patches of reality pulled forward, stark against the ruined illusion. Varlais, face set in a severe scowl, took its moment of weakness as a signal and pulled an ebony dagger from somewhere in his coat. He rushed at [Redacted], stabbing into it with all the force he could muster.
As with ice, silence shattered.
Sound rushed back into the room with an explosion, causing Nyenna to cry out. The ringing in her ears made her lurch in confusion as she stumbled forward. She could hear the caustic Shout as if the [Redacted] itself had captured the Word and turned it back on her for her crimes. The Word’s power seemed to have amplified in the quiet, like a delayed assault on her senses. It had been meant to destroy the armor of her enemies — that had been her perception. Instead, it was unwinding her sanity.
The Shout was all she could hear over the chaos. She couldn’t tell what was real. Glimpses of an ancient battlefield blurred over the melting ice of this place. A storm of light and darkness swirling with souls in a place that touched the sky. A Dragon Priest on a platform of pale stone with its arms and staves raised, visage of a dark dragon looming huge behind him, impossible red eyes locked on hers.
“Dovahkiin…”
She gasped, barely grasping consciousness, willing the nightmare to clear from her eyes. [Redacted] had lost its hold on the spell that had, up until then, muffled reality as if they’d all been buried under an avalanche of snow. Slowly the room was warming. She felt the tug of the thing desperately trying to pull Magicka from them in an effort to regain its upper hand. But they had none left. There was nothing to take. It righted itself, still too huge, and with all its strength it launched a blow in her direction. She slumped against the supports that had been crumbling with [Redacted]’s lack of control and slid down to the ground, weak with the echo of the dragon’s Voice still piercing her skull.
She watched as Teldryn adjusted his grip on Chillrend with a flourish, rushing in to defend her. The sound of it reverberated, each clang of the sword a cacophony, each footfall a miniature torture. Her own Voice was still clawing at her mind, the hiss of the dragon tongue mired with Bosmeris and Common. Even covering her ears could not stop the Shout from burning. In the vision, it had looked like acid pouring down — an almost elemental call. It was wrong in every discernible way, but still just one Shout. But this…? It had compounded upon itself somehow, and she knew deep down the sound of it would never leave her. It lived in her soul. She heard the cries of the dragon there, at war with the knowledge she’d so long buried. Tears poured down her face. She felt nothing else but pain. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t breathe. Darkness was clawing at the edges of her awareness. Was this death? Was that the cost of this power? She was so tired.
The barrow. No, the burial mound. Kynesgrove. The ground beneath her feet — trees filled with birds chattering only to be so suddenly silenced. And then? The strings of necromantic energy twisting down, down. Sahloknir, stark against the sky as he burst forth from his cairn after centuries untold, sleeping, waiting. She wanted to sleep. Dear Gods, she needed sleep. The racket of tattered wings against greying skies prevented it. She looked down at her hands. Skeletal, and acid-eaten. Then normal, gripping a blade. Dead again, covered in ice, skin flaking away in the wind. The images shifted too fast for her to comprehend. She looked up, eyes locked once again with her enemy, here and not here at the same time. Was she? She shook her head, the ache overwhelming. His bitterness echoed in her empty chest, the sound of it escaping between her ribs.
Her mind searched for the familiar. She looked over at Teldryn as he hacked at [Redacted], its wails dulled to a blunt murmur. The image was weakening, though she wanted nothing more than to hold tight to it. All that remained was the malice of the great dragon, darker than the night closing in around her. She knew the name — felt the shape of it on her tongue. She was remiss to speak. It hurt too much. She had no strength left to bear the agony. Her eyes fluttered closed, and as she faded, his vile words seared themselves into her mind.
“Krii daar joorre.”

Made some character descriptions!! For all of my Skyrim characters, minus zuft’zahr’s siblings and my other werewolf :3
There’s a lot more under the read more thing but I don’t wanna fully clog people’s dash up, so the Dragonborn characters are the only visible ones for now
Farlian Seven - Khajiit(Cathay), dragonborn. Farlian has white fur with black stripes reminiscent of a white tiger, and has yellow eyes. She uses heavy armor, favoring blades armor and ebony, and she uses the dragon priest mask Nahkriin. She has two golden hoop earrings on each ear. Casual clothes include a turtleneck and a long skirt with varying patterns and styles, the most common being an animated blue starry shirt and an orange cloudy sky dress. || Farlian uses an ebony mace and the daedric artifact ‘spellbreaker’, a boon from Peryite. She also utilizes some destruction magic and some restoration. || She is affiliated with almost every Skyrim faction, including; the companions, the college of winterhold, the thieves guild, the dark brotherhood, the bards college, etc.
Virthik Fjovur - nord, dragonborn. Virthik has pale pinkish skin, blue dragon like eyes, and blonde hair with a braid near the front. He has two horns reminiscent of a dragon’s, the right one broken close to the scalp. At around the middle of the forearm his hands transition from white to a scale like grey, and become a little tougher. His fingers end in slightly sharpened claws growing out of the bone of the hand. He also has rather noticeable eye bags, regardless of how much sleep he gets. He wears carved Nordic armor with no helmet when in battle. When relaxing he wears a cozy blue knit sweater, a very fluffy scarf of sorts, and fur lined cargo pants. His dragon form is a dark grey with a lighter grey highlight, and dark blue horns/joint scales.[gore until the dark red text stops] The stomach, throat, and chest of the dragon are hollowed out excluding the bones, lungs, and heart, and it is missing the usual scales and muscles that cover it up. The jawbone is also missing scales and muscles. Despite the lack of proper muscles he can still fly, eat, and breathe just fine. || Virthik uses a specially enchanted and crafted ebony sword named “ “, as well as minimal restoration magic and a wide variety of shouts. || He is affiliated with the companions, the thieves guild, the rebuilt helgen, and a few others. He is also a follower of ikalis matrix, mentioned in the section labeled gods.
Zuft’zahr Satanni - Khajiit(Cathay), dragonborn. He has mostly brown fur with black stripes. His chin, belly, and underside of his tail/inner ears are a red to tan gradient. He has a daedric reminiscent symbol on his forehead that is seemingly natural in origin. His hair is black, and He uses dragon scale armor for most open combat, but otherwise uses a mix of thieves guild and dark brotherhood armor. No matter what he he wears an orange knit scarf with red accents, however. When not out for business he wears a sweater under a nice warm coat with many pockets, and either some sweat pants or an ankle length dress. || He primarily uses the blade of woe or chillrend, but has a battleaxe as a backup weapon as well. He uses quite a lot of illusion and alteration magic as well. Zuft'zahr also owns a small enchanted pocket watch which can rewind time. He uses this to attempt for the best possible scenario in every applicable situation. || He is affiliated with the dark brotherhood, the thieves guild, the blades, the college of winterhold, and the bards college.
Ka’rah Seven - Khajiit(Suthay-raht). Ka’rah has the same fur colors as her sister, but has bluish purple eyes with bright purple veins. Her markings are much flowy and curly than farlian’s. She has a large magic scar on the left side of her face. Her hair is braided and tied together down her back, and she has “facial hair” which is puffy and flows down a few inches past her collar bone. She wears a cape, heavy duty half skirt, and a loose green shirt most of the time, but also has a ritual outfit with many skulls and whatnot. Her casual outfit is a formal skintight shirt with lace making it a turtleneck, and flowy open sleeved arms. Her pants are heavy duty with a few decorative holes at the top of the leg. She also wears a manacle that functions as a detect magic and block magic charm. She also has a talking skull named torbar, which can either be worn or carried. || She wields a staff made of bone and leather, with insets of amethyst and a large purple orb that appears to be an unknown magical gem, possibly a soul gem. This is used to focus on many spells at once, and also lets her command her skeleton army with minimal shouting. || She is affiliated very loosely with the thieves guild and the dark brotherhood, for a steady supply of corpses and gemstones to use in spellcasting, but otherwise avoids most upstanding organizations. She is a “professional Necromancer warlord”, in other words, a necromancer that just really likes showing off.
Donein Seedmire - Bosmer. Donenin has slightly desaturated yellow skin with many scars and marks. His hair is a plain dark ish brown, as are his eyes. He always looks like he has cried recently, and is a little more flushed than a Bosmer would usually be. He wears a simple green shirt with an orange scarf, as well as some plain brown pants and quality(if a little worn) leather boots. He noticeably does not possess any sort of antler or horn. His teeth are incredibly sharp, and grow back in when they either fall out or are removed. || Donenin favors the bow, and has a specially made one crafted from particularly bendable bits of cartilage, and has little garnets studded around the handle. It also sports special ebony fittings. He also carries a small, rough ebony dagger with similar garnet fittings and a bone handle. || He is not affiliated with any of the bigger organizations of skyrim, but he goes around and helps out in smaller towns like rorikstead and karthwasten. He worships kynareth and mara.
Sifaris Denhan - snow elf, vampire. Sifaris has very pale skin, and exceedingly short hair. He has a tail reminiscent of a rat’s, as well as slightly clawed hands. His eyes are a slightly harsh yellow with a red rim and black scleras, as well as a pupil reminiscent of a cat’s. He has faded red tattoos on his back(which appear more pink than red), which curl around his torso to just under his top surgery scars. He wears a black turtleneck, as well as bits of homemade chaurus armor. He has thick, padded pants and heavy duty chaurus boots and gauntlets. He also has a hood with goggles and a mask, to make sure nobody knows he's a vampire. Also it looks good. He prefers to wear hoodies and other baggy clothes when not on a job. || He usually uses a double sided greatsword, but also has been seen using alteration, and occasionally a dual set of daggers. He specifically does not use any vampire abilities in battle, because honestly he doesn't know where that blood has been. || He was affiliated with the snow elves of the forgotten vale, but now he mostly just does mercenary work. He is married to citrine. He is a vampire that is tied to sanguine, not molag bal.
Citrine - altmer, werewolf. Citrine has healthy, sunny yellow skin with a few scars and sunburns at all times. He has silver eyes, clawed hands, and very light, fluffy blonde hair. Not quite platinum blonde, but very close. Occasionally he may have certain wolfish characteristics such as a tail or claws. || Citrine usually wears a classic monk outfit, with as few buttons as possible, and no shoes or footwraps. He wears the ring of Hircine infrequently, essentially just when he's in highly populated areas. He doesn't mind randomly wolfing out, says it gives life a little more spice. || He occasionally uses brass knuckles, but otherwise sticks completely to unarmed strikes and werewolf attacks. He wields some restoration magic as well, but mostly studies whatever he can that would help out sifaris in a pinch, as he has very fast natural regeneration. || He is as dedicated to sif as the tide is to the moon. He also somewhat follows Hircine, but more in the way that an employee likes their nice ish boss (Don't call when I'm off the clock cos I prolly won't answer). He is also a fan of dibella+sanguine’s teachings, but doesn't actively follow either of them. And of course he is married to sif.
Imerae Semalion - Falmer(the in game enemy kind). Imerae also has pale pale skin, though it is much rougher than Sif’s. She has many little scrapes just about everywhere. She also has a tail similar to sif’s, but it acts more as a prehensile tail than a cat tail. She has white hair grouped into two braided pigtails. She wears the usual thieves guild getup, minus the shoes. The only difference is that it’s all a pinkish hue, as is everything she wears ever. She usually doesn’t wear much other than her thieves guild attire, but she doesn’t mind baggy short sleeve shirts. || she uses a mix of daggers and bows, and favors stealth bow techniques, with the use of detect life and undead. || she’s obviously connected to the thieves guild, but she’s also semi related to the bard’s college and the college of winterhold. She appreciates nocturnal and boethia’s thing, though she doesn’t really follow follow any one deity.
Beynir Pale-sky - Nord. Beynir is very close to your typical Nord, and ironically extremely close to the looks of the preset for a Nord in the base game. He just has stubble instead of full mutton chops, and his hair is a little curlier. He wears the usual whiterun guard outfit, but with long yellow sleeves under the Chain mail. He also has brown eyes. || he uses the standard one handed sword+shield combo, but also has trained a little bit in unarmed combat. Just in case!! || he of course is affiliated with the whiterun guard, and a little bit of the thieves guild and companions.
Lurks-in-Darkness - argonian/saxhleel. LD has mostly black scales, with dark red accents and muddy chartreuse scales along the spine+top of the head. She has shiny red feathers that end with a tick of black on her head/neck and tail. Her tongue and inner mouth is black, and has a bite similar to that of a Komodo dragon. Her eyes are a shiny blood red with very thin, sharp pupils, and she has 3 chartreuse mini horns on each side of her head. She wears many daedric related suits of armor, her favorite being a modified suit of Daedric mail with a sickly green glow and red details. She wears a casual yellow long sleeve shirt under a blacksmith’s apron, with durable leather pants and leather foot wraps. She does not actually have boobs as one may assume, she actually just hides any contraband/stolen goods she finds in a pocket in her shirt :). Taking advantage of peoples stupidity 25/8 baby! || she wields both a Daedric greatsword or an orcish hammer, as well as almost all of the offensive schools of magic, excluding some illusion and most restoration. She also owns quite a few Daedric artifacts, and can wield most all of them at least semi effectively. || she is of course affiliated with quite a few of the Daedric princes, as well as limited interaction with their respective organizations, though she also has interactions with the college of winterhold quite often. This is to get access to the Atronach forge and the Daedric gauntlet.
Sara dellum - Dunmer . Sara has grayish skin, with white and red face paint and orange-red hair in the style of dreads, tucked back in a ponytail. He wears a mix of morag tong styled gear and specially crafted bonemold, designed for peak stealth. He also has little bits of skin where a keratin like structure acts as ‘scales’ on places like the bicep, outer thigh, and stomach. This is the same color as his skin. || Sara wields dual daggers exclusively, but also knows rudimentary hand to hand combat. He has a special coin that, when incorporated with other coins, can tell him whether or not any are illegitimate. || he was affiliated with the morag tong, but has since moved on to be a lone contractor. He has occasionally run into the dark brotherhood, and visits the thieves guild often in the dark corners, for those looking to strike a quick deal for a little cheaper than the larger groups. He has also been seen skulking around in raven rock and tel mythrin.
Mako Lograk - orsimer. Mako has rough green skin with a tinge of yellow, and is quite hairy. In addition to a lot of body hair, he has mustard yellow scales speckled around his cheeks, chest, shoulders, stomach, and forearms. Essentially everywhere there is hair. His hair is dark brown, and the hair on his head is curly, while his body hair is more reminiscent of a wild hogs’, being thick and wiry, and relatively straight. He wears no shirt, but his pants are a soft and warm wool, and his boots are a waterproof leather insulated with bits of animal pelts and fur. He wears a harness for his axe to be idly carried, and lugs around a large bag meant to preserve any alchemical ingredients he may come across. || he uses a large axe to do most fighting, but also owns multiple sets of different scissors to harvest various plants and whatnot with. || he is not affiliated with any major groups, but just about every alchemist in Skyrim knows him as an extremely reliable source of ingredients for potions, and a little bit of gossip from the other alchemists.
Alriac Vilri - maomer. Alriac has pale blue skin that seems slightly transparent and shiny, and large web shaped ears. His eyes have a low blue glow, and his hair is dark ish blue with almost white streaks. He has webbed hands and feet, and his fingers end in a hard and sharp point. When on land he wears a loose, flowy button up shirt at least halfway unbuttoned, a slightly weathered teal dress, and quite honestly the worst looking boots you’ve ever seen, with mold starting to grow on the sides and at least one hole in the seams or from pure wear and tear on the leather. He also has a pearl bracelet and a silver necklace, inlaid with sapphire. When in the water he simply wears his jewelry. His mermaid tail is a shimmery silver with sapphire blue stripes near the waist, and he has gills in between his ribs. || he does not frequently fight, but when he does he prefers ice based destruction magic or alteration. Otherwise he uses sharp, shark like teeth, as well as claws to hook into prey or foe, to rip and tear.
Ithvozal Raogarn - Dwemer. Ithvozal has dark ish yellow skin meant to withstand pressure and heat. They have brown frizzy hair which they pull back into a low ponytail, and bright blue eyes. Their body is paralyzed from the waist down, and as such they use a wheelchair designed for maximum mobility and effectiveness. Some functions of this mobility device include: a built in crossbow, the ability to curl up into a ball and speed around with Ithvozal inside, interface and control of many dwarven constructs, heating and cooling, and many more small functions. || they mainly utilize a specialized hand crossbow and the weapons on their chair. They keep a notebook and pen with them at all times, to mark down what may need to be repaired or removed, as well as to plan out what they’ll build next. They also carry a wide range of tools for impromptu repairs. || ithvozal follows no gods. They are also the only one in their large cave system other than their non Dwemer friends.
Bivelle rivera - dunmer. She has pinkish grey skin with red and black face paint around the eyes. She has small dragonfly like wings, the membranes of which are a dark shimmery black-blue color, reminiscent of stained glass. She also has a small dragonfly like ‘tail’. She is wearing a red and black corset with shiny silver filigree and buckles, soft red and yellow striped pants, black boots with yellow accentwork, and a short red half skirt. Under the corset there is a flowy black blouse. || She wields a wavy dagger, as well as a variety of embalming tools and torture tools. She uses mainly necromantic magic when she is casting, but also has been seen using illusion magic when needed. || She is not affiliated with any large organizations, but has started a small cult that sows discord throughout solstheim and windhelm, and really any place they see fit. She is good acquaintances with Sara, and helps score clients whenever possible.
And that’s all the Skyrim lovelies!

I realized I could've posted little meta tidbits on all the days I didn't have a fic for. I'm not missing an opportunity to talk about our OCs so I'm doing it now. XD
@nine-blessed-hero @babyblueetbaemonster @inkysqueed (Do you guys want to be tagged in posts like this?) @tes-summer-fest
Arcane: Mom got so sick of hearing "I don't know what Arch-Mage Traven has against Necromancy, but the first thing he did after taking over the Mages Guild was to ban its practice" that she decided that Praelyn becomes Arch Mage specifically to make everyone shut up about him.
She says the new rumor becomes: "I don't know what Arch-Mage Praelyn has against Traven, but the first thing she did after taking over the Mages Guild was to ban mention of his name." So I guess it didn't work. XD
Beloved: One quest they all do together is Shadow Over Hackdirt because that's possibly the only quest we all actually did (other then the tutorial, of course. We all also might've delivered the amulet, I don't remember). Most of us barely even did quests back then, just explored random places. But we all dropped what we were doing as soon as they said Dar-Ma was gone.
Sanctuary: Does where you find the unicorn count as a sanctuary? My brother and I woke up one morning and Dad just had a unicorn now, we asked him how he fought all the minotaur and he was like "I just got on the unicorn and rode off."
So it became canon that Rann just shows up with a unicorn one day and everyone's like "What on Nirn?!"
Devotion: Reptilious is very devoted to becoming an imperial guard so that other argonians will have someone to protect and look out for them.
In Bloom: Lecrinn likes purple flowers because they remind her of Cheydinhal and, by extension, someone who lives there.
Sword: Lecrinn fights with a cutlass, Reptilious with a Blades katana, Praelyn with magic and Chillrend, and Rann with whatever happens to be the coolest thing in his pocket.
I actually managed to make each fact about a different character or the whole party instead of just Lecrinn, amazing. XD

Oblivion Remastered: 10 Rare Weapons and Armor You Can't Miss
youtube
Top 10 Must-Have Unique Items in Oblivion Remastered
Introduction
In Oblivion Remastered, acquiring the most powerful and unique equipment is a key part of elevating your gameplay. The world is filled with exclusive gear—some hidden within quests, others simply sold by specialized vendors. Each piece offers distinct enchantments and design elements that set them apart from standard items. Whether you're just starting out or deep into your adventure, this guide highlights ten rare weapons and armor sets that are well worth seeking out. From enchanted swords to quest-tied armor, these selections offer both functionality and lore significance.
1. Brusef Amelion's Armor Set and Sword
Found within the Amelion family tomb, this full gear set includes a sword, shield, and full armor ensemble. Though visually similar to ebony armor, it features a unique greenish hue that sets it apart from its original design in classic Oblivion. The sword closely resembles a silver longsword, but with detailed engravings that enhance its visual appeal.
The cuirass and longsword come pre-enchanted with distinctive magical effects, making them valuable for both early and mid-game characters. These two items are associated with the Fighters Guild quest Amelion’s Debt, but you’re not required to begin the quest to access them. If you do start the quest, note that you’ll be asked to return the cuirass and sword. However, you can opt to pay 1,000 gold to keep them permanently.
2. Nistor’s Boots
Available for purchase at The Best Goods and Guarantees shop in Leyawiin, Nistor’s Boots are an easy acquisition for those looking to quickly upgrade their footgear. The merchant, Elsia, offers this pair with enchantments ideal for early exploration, such as enhanced mobility or resistance bonuses depending on your build.
Despite being vendor-sold, these boots are uniquely named and carry enchantments not found on common gear. Their accessibility and practical buffs make them an essential pick-up during the early stages of your journey through Cyrodiil.
3. Averoi Thunderblade
This weapon can be purchased from Sergius Verus at the Three Brothers Trade Goods store, located in the Market District of the Imperial City. The Averoi Thunderblade is a powerful enchanted sword that offers excellent offensive capabilities with added shock damage, making it a strong option for melee builds.
Unlike most unique weapons hidden behind quests or exploration, this one is readily available for purchase, making it ideal for players who want to boost their damage output early without heavy combat investment. The weapon’s balance between affordability and power is what makes it stand out among vendor-sold equipment.
4. Trenchant of Submission
Available at Morvayn’s Peacemakers in Anvil, this mace is sold by Varel Morvayn and is ideal for players seeking sustainability in combat. Its enchantment includes a health regeneration effect, which is especially useful during prolonged encounters or when playing solo.
Because it's easy to access and doesn’t require completion of a quest, this item is a top choice for players looking to enhance survivability without straying too far from major cities. The Trenchant of Submission offers a tactical edge, especially for newer characters or those in need of self-healing support.
5. Chillrend
To obtain Chillrend, players must complete the quest The Killing Field, which begins in Chorrol. Speak with Valus Odiil at the Gray Mare Inn to initiate the quest. He will ask for help protecting his sons from a goblin threat near their farm just outside the city.
Successfully keeping both sons alive throughout the encounter is crucial. If they survive, Valus rewards you with Chillrend—an elegantly crafted sword imbued with frost enchantments. The blade not only deals cold damage but also slows enemies, giving you a significant advantage in close combat. As a quest reward, Chillrend is both exclusive and impactful, making it one of the top melee weapons in the game.
6. Rashida’s Special Gauntlets
Sold by Rashida at Fire and Steel, a weapon and armor merchant in Chorrol, these gauntlets come pre-enchanted and are categorized as light armor. Rashida’s Specials are designed for utility, offering enchantments that may boost agility, speed, or stamina regeneration—perfect for stealth-based or lightly armored characters.
Because they can be purchased without completing any quests, they are a solid investment for those looking to round out their gear with effective hand protection early on. As one of the few vendor-exclusive gauntlet sets with unique enchantments, they’re an essential piece for light armor users.
7. Ring of the Viper Eye
The Ring of the Viper Eye is obtained through the quest The Draconian Madstone, initiated by speaking with Countess Carvain in Castle Bruma. This quest involves retrieving a powerful Akaviri artifact from a remote location filled with enemies.
While the quest doesn't provide much directional guidance, it is straightforward once you know the path. Successfully completing it rewards you with the Ring of the Viper Eye, an enchanted ring that boosts several useful attributes, potentially including resistance effects or combat stats. As a unique quest reward, this ring is highly sought-after for builds that benefit from enhanced survivability or agility.
8. Dondoran’s Juggernaut
This unique armor piece can be purchased from Aland at The North Winds in Bruma. Known for its defensive bonuses, Dondoran’s Juggernaut is ideal for characters focusing on heavy armor builds. The armor offers enchantments that increase durability and provide significant defensive benefits.
As one of the more robust armor pieces available without completing a quest, it is an excellent option for players who prefer direct combat and sustained engagements. It’s a reliable addition to any high-defense loadout and a great early-to-mid game upgrade.
9. Captain Carius’ Saber
Captain Carius’ Saber is sold at The March Rider in Cheydinhal by Tertia Viducia. The store specializes in weaponry and repairs, and this saber stands out due to its well-balanced design and effective enchantments—typically offering a blend of elemental damage or attribute drain effects.
The saber’s unique design and magic make it a solid choice for one-handed weapon users. Since it’s vendor-sold, it’s easy to obtain and doesn’t require quest completion, making it perfect for players looking to upgrade their arsenal without delay.
10. Apron of Adroitness
To obtain the Apron of Adroitness, visit Tivela Lythandas in her home in Cheydinhal. She will mention her husband, a painter, has gone missing. Investigating his room reveals a portal into one of his paintings, kicking off the quest A Brush with Death.
Inside the painted world, players must recover a magical paintbrush from a thief and eliminate several trolls—whose unique Painted Troll Fat can also be used for enchanting. Once the quest is completed, you'll receive the Apron of Adroitness, a light armor item with agility and skill-boosting enchantments. It's a standout reward for completing one of the game’s more imaginative side quests.
Conclusion
Collecting unique items in Oblivion Remastered adds both strategic value and a deeper sense of immersion to your gameplay. Whether obtained through quests or purchased from vendors, these rare weapons and armor pieces stand out for their design, enchantments, and utility. From the frost-infused Chillrend to the agility-boosting Apron of Adroitness, each item in this guide offers significant advantages worth pursuing. Equip yourself with these standout selections to gain a decisive edge as you explore the expansive world of Cyrodiil.

mercer frey never gets ahold of chillrend. if he had, pax would’ve 100% stolen it back before the last dragonborn could ever lay hands on it. if pax ever had an unhealthy attachment to an inanimate object, it would be that sword. he’d kill a man for that sword ( & with it ).

Okay I’ve got patch for purists, beyond skyrim Bruma and the beyond skyrim merchant ship, two new followers (a Khajiit and a snow elf), extended guard dialogue which I think uses AI voices but I play with sound off so doesn’t matter to me, retexture of chillrend to make it look more like oblivion, quest markers for the stones of barenziah, and a mod that lets you use your own blood for septimus’ quest if you play as an elf. And a loading screen mod to make loading screens look like oblivion loading screens.
Let’s see if the game crashes.
Okay I’m finally gonna do it. Im caving in. I’m gonna mod skyrim.

Faal Hah Wuld wip piece
Im going to bed but you guys can have this bit
--------------
"FUS...RO DAH!"
"AL-DU-IN!"
The storm choked her once more, but she swung her sword - a half second too late.
He growled in pain, but turned to face her one more time, raised his rotted arms as if casting a spell, and shouted one last time.
"AL-DU-IN!"
They were spoken somehow at the same time, and once more she saw Alduin, limp but looking right at her with his dead eyes.
