Chloride Remediation: Keeping Our Environment Safe and Saline-Free
Chloride remediation refers to the process of removing or reducing the concentration of chloride ions in soil, water, or other materials. Chloride ions are negatively charged particles that are commonly found in natural and man-made environments, and they can pose a variety of environmental and health hazards if they are present in high concentrations.
One of the most common sources of chloride ions is road salt, which is often used to de-ice roads and sidewalks during the winter months. As snow and ice melt, the salt dissolves and can enter nearby water sources, where it can harm aquatic life and contribute to the salinization of freshwater resources.
To remediate chloride contamination, a number of different strategies can be used, depending on the source and extent of the contamination. One common approach is to use specialized filtration systems that are designed to selectively remove chloride ions from water or other fluids. Other methods include chemical precipitation, ion exchange, and reverse osmosis.
Another important approach to chloride remediation is prevention. By reducing the use of road salt and other chloride-containing substances, it is possible to minimize the amount of chloride that enters the environment in the first place. This can involve using alternative de-icing agents, such as sand or calcium magnesium acetate, or implementing more environmentally-friendly road maintenance practices.
Overall, chloride remediation is an important aspect of environmental management, as it can help to protect both human health and natural ecosystems from the negative impacts of chloride contamination. By using a combination of remediation and prevention strategies, it is possible to minimize the amount of chloride that enters the environment and ensure that our natural resources remain healthy and sustainable for future generations.

If this reaction is carried out properly, silver precipitates as a smooth, mirror-like deposit, hence the name silver-mirror test (figure 21.5).

Quick kinda exciting update:
I have shown a (very) rough range for critical temperature (at least, for the temperature where it reacts to a magnet) and i believe the magnetic effect is caused only in part by innate diamagnetism but rather by induction.
The critical temperature is between 80 and 120 degrees C, (based on my accidentally pouring the very hot powder onto plastic that melted, then realizing i could probably measure the temperature by what things it melts, then testing a bunch of substances (mostly plastics) to get a good estimate of melting point) so that's good. I have little doubt that further research can raise this temperature even higher. The second point of interest from recent studies is that i think that i was wrong about the cause of the reaction to a magnet. I think it's some sort of static-like effect, caused not from typical static, but rather from induced electric current that then causes the particles to become charged and fly away from the plastic card as it becomes charged itself. I tried seeing if it were somehow just normal static by using a piece of copper (as non-magnetic metal), a piece of cloth, and another piece of plastic against the plastic card i was using as my testing surface and found there to be a very slight effect, but it was extremely minor compared to moving a strong magnet under the powder. This does seem to indicate that the testing has always only worked because of the material that i was using under the particles, however it does also indicate that the particles are electrically conductive, though this phenomenon alone does not indicate superconductivity. The fact that the effect is (likely) not from strong diamagnetism is not a good sign, but honestly i'm currently quite confused. In order to get better results, i'll be trying with the powder on different surfaces, including but not limited to flat sheets of copper, paper, and aluminium.
This quick update went much longer than intended. Anyway, the first result (about temperature) is the one i'm most excited about, but the second one will be the focus of more research once i have free time again

Since my other Nether worldbuilding post was received pretty well... I'm back on my bullshit!
This time featuring zoning and biomes of the Neath: Lore below cut
Nether (noun): the formidable hellscape straddling the boundery between the Fragments of the Overworld and Death's Realms.
Derived from Beneath -> Neath -> Neth -> Nether.
The Nether is most easily accessable through outer regions of the nether, regions that are comparatively closed-off, and lacking in biodiversity compared to the Deep Nether where most Neath civilizations are centered.
The Neth is divided into three primary zones, distinguished by altitude and general climates.
The Calfactory Zone: the largest and most icon of the three, the Calfactory zone is blisteringly hot and bone-dry, it's most prominent features are its abundant seas and lakes of magma, and the massive Supermagmas atriums that are common above the magma. In the largest of these atriums, the ceiling may be so high above as to be completely invisible from the ground, obscured by an ever present smog of toxic vapor and minerals formed in the self-generated micro-climates that are generated from the rising heat of the lava that begins to cool at a higher altitude.
In the Basalt Deltas and other biomes around the edges of these lakes, massive pillars of rock and crystals bulwark the more-visible ceiling.
The most common of this zone’s biomes is the Crimson woods, home to hearty thermal-philic fungi and plants that grow on the minerals and vapors of the lakes. Many are carnivorous in their lack of access to water or sunlight, and these forests contain many sub-biomes and ecosystems of flourishing life.
The Wastes are perhaps the most desolate regions of the Neath, irradiated deserts of red-rock, brimstone, and sharp sand. Even the vast majority of nether-folk avoid these deserts due to the leftover radiation that rots and destroys anything that waits too long. The only forms of life are particularly robust lichens and bacteria that are happy to sit by the pools of boiling pools of sulfur and mud and toxic sludge that dot the landscape. Growing within the rocks themselves are colonies of amorphous fungus, called geocorpus molds that get their spores into cracks in the soft netherack and slowly feed on it, a delicacy in nether cuisine.
The Temperate Zone: Cradled in the heights of the Neath’s atriums and sat bellow the roof is the temperate zones, the rising heat of the zone below begins to cool and forming distinct weather patterns in this zone and leaving it, while still sweltering, a cooler though much more humid climate.
The main biome are the luminescent warped-fungal rainforests that collect the high-rising minerals and odd moisture from the lakes. Liquid is actually precent here, though if it’s not safely filtered through the innards of the various plants and fungi, this water is usually aggressively corrosive, and it is best to shelter from the  acidic precipitation to avoid chemical burns. The nether folk and ender local to these rainforests are suited to deal with these conditions and the ender especially do not have trouble with the extreme pH of the water here like they would in the overworld. The zone is lit almost exclusively by the biolumincense of the organisms there and have often been described as false-stars.
In the Deep Nether, the ceiling may give way, allowing one to pass onto the plateaus of the Nether Roof and the yawning void above. The bedrock of the nether roof is jagged and layered in huge slabs, sometimes broken up my mazes of pillar-like structures and shallow, thermal pools of crystal-clear liquid. The kind you don't want to touch of course. fogs may hang low to the ground, but when its clear, or above the fog, the entire universe seems to spill out into the sky. The nether roof was culturally significant and a source of much knowledge and inspiration in the early days, but I'll get more into that in a later post 0.0
The Rime Zone: Plunge deep enough and one might find themselves bellow the lava beds. Here, where the heat can't quite penetrate, the temperatures will drop rapidly to sub-zero.
Namely, the Rime Zone is made up of the soul valleys, flat steppes of cinder and clotted sand, you can imagine it almost with the blindness effect, a fog that pools by your feet, and a heavier darkness hanging from the sky, it feels massive and endless and claustrophobic all at once. Frost collects as crystals on the irradiated, soul-soaked barrens, and the bones of the massive nether wyrms lie fossilized, breaking up the landscape. The sands are also split with patches of crazing on the ground and vents of blue fire that spills out and sets the sand ablaze.
These same wryms can be found sometimes, ancient things that dig through sand and soft rocks and the magma lakes, far and few between and treated with both fear and reverence.
And in the deepest pits of the Neath are the glowing frozen lakes that are colloquially and rightfully called the Gates to Death, glowing blue from beneath their surfaces. Indeed, any further down and you pass into limbo, the edge of Death's Realms.
Extra Notes??:
Soul sand/soil is tread on carefully or not at all, is one form of remnants from the apocolyspe. Like the general radiated rubble present through the Nether, it's a fault of nuclear fallout. Unlike other areas of radiation, its also been infused with the souls of those who didn't survive the joining of worlds.
This infused quality is also precent in Nether Debris, resulting in a material that takes magic particularly well.
Iron cannot be found in dense veins and crystals like gold or quartz in the nether, but it's a pretty rich mineral a lot of netherack, giving it its ruddy coloring.
Sorry for this massive rant that no one asked for. If you have questions please feel free to send an ask, I may not have an answer yet but I'll certainly come up with one if I can.
I'm also hoping to do a pass on my headcanons about history and culture in the Nether and then we might start talking about character headcanons since this is also an actual AU.
If you read this far, here's some notes on striders and ghast

ranking cod boys' intimacy style from gentle to rough feat: 141 + los vaqueros + others reader: afab, implied different readers for each cw: explicit smut, kink, fluff, pretty tame imo but lmk if you'd like something tagged NSFW BELOW CUT * MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
1.) the gentlest, surprisingly, is ghost. make no mistake, he'll absolutely fuck the daylights out of you if you ask him to -- would enjoy it, too. but as simon riley... honestly, this man is touch-starved and nearing forty. he is tired, baby. coming home from deployment, first thing simon does is shower (knows you hate the smell of war on him), then take a fat nap with you. if you're in the middle of something, no you're not. he'll literally scoop you up and fireman-carry you to the couch or bed, whichever is closest. simon loves holding you, wants to be touching you all. the. time. his favorite way to nap is wrapped around you like a fitted sheet; skin on skin, nose in your hair as he breathes in the scent of your shampoo. loves it even more when, later, he gets to wake you with soft, open-mouthed kisses on your neck; the flat of his palm sliding down the gentle swell of your tummy, cuping you through your sleep shorts. simon likes you best like this. how you just... melt into him, still sleep-sodden and docile. it's one of the few things that feels right in his life. chemically, cosmically, karmically (somehow--simon doesn't think he'll ever feel like he earned this. you. that he'll ever really deserve to be yours). he takes his time; fucks you slow with his fingers, savoring your muted whimpers as he grinds into your clit with the heel of his hand. to simon, watching you come apart in the firm circle of his arms is kin to a fresco on a ceiling; a sliver of the divine, and he, a sinner, doomed to watch heaven from afar. but by some small miracle, you offer him salvation. when you cum, it's with his name on your lips, so round and lush with love, and fuck--if that isn't the thing to save him, then nothing will.
2.) second is rudy. sweet, sweet boy. he sees you barefoot in a sundress one time. one. that's all it takes to precipitously shift the trajectory of his life to one where he wifes you up and makes you a mother, in that order. you're the first person he's ever envisioned having children with -- the only one he thinks knows will be worth risking everything for. and once that mental picture settles in his mind, it’s all he can think of. it becomes his sole mission to get you under him and fill you with him til it takes. rudy is a missionary guy through and through--wants to see that pretty face, cariño so he can watch your cheeks and chest flush when you're about to cum. and the cute way your lashes flutter ("como alles de pollila, mi amor. fuck--") as he bottoms out in your sweet pussy, stretching you so good. and you're always so good for him -- wrapping your legs around his waist and tilting your hips to take him deeper, deeper. but god help you when he succeeds in knocking you up, you’re never getting a moment alone. consider rudy glued to your side for the foreseeable future. can’t seem to keep his goddamn hands to himself, either. doesn't matter that you’re uncomfortable and prickly and prone to random bouts of inconsolable crying at the worst moments. he takes it all in stride. his love is steady, solid. once, you blurt out something to the effect of i'm never going to be attractive again, my body is gonna be ruined by the end of this. and rudy (after a beat) laughs. pulls you forward til your face is buried in his chest, cradles you there when you try to squirm away. tells you he's literally so attracted to you right now he feels like he should be on some sort of list. he's watching you build a new human being inside your body. you're fucking powerful. he can't imagine anything sexier.
3.) next up is könig. from jump, he adores you; the way you smolder at the edges, the unwavering bite of your tone. kleine katze, such pretty claws you have... and he's perfectly content to settle for admiring you from afar; but where others shy from him instinctually, finding his size and perpetual quiet off-putting, you don't. seem to gravitate towards him because of it. you touch him with a gentleness that should feel foreign, but actually feels like home. this man is fucking gone for you. loves you in a way that irreparably and fundamentally changes him. may or may not have cum more than once to the thought of you: hips bucking desperately into the clench of his own fist. but he knows precisely nichts about romance, even less about flirting. has no idea you've been trying to get his attention for months. ultimately, you have to make the first move. and you do--crawling into his lap one night in a grimy off-grid safehouse after a mission went the wrong kind of sideways. when you draw up the mask he goes rigid, tense; but he almost lost you today. (thought for one endless, horrific moment that he had.) so he lets you pull back the mask--lets you see his face. and when you finally kiss him, it pulls a kind of sound out of him the likes of which he's never made before. a desperate, animal keen that claws at the walls of his chest. and könig's a gentle giant, but he is giant. you're both too hasty the first time; too desperate for closeness to prep properly, so it hurts when he bullies his cock inside you. he's significantly bigger than any of your previous partners -- twice as thick and several inches longer -- and by all rights shouldn't fucking fit inside you, but you're both tenacious enough to make it work. könig is certain salvation resides in the gummy clutch of your cunt when you take him to the hilt; shuddering as you cum around him from nothing but the way his cock stuffs you full and the pressure of his calloused thumb on your clit. it's so unbelievably hot, he cums on the spot; not needing friction or movement when he has you clenching down on him like that, scheiße. after, he takes care of you--holds you close to his chest til your breath evens out and you slip into the dreamless, black pool of sleeping.
4.) alejandro, my love. truly a man of passion. it's a long process seducing you, and he enjoys every minute of it. loves finding new ways to get you to blush almost as much as he enjoys fucking you til you're blubbering and cock-stupid. almost. he likes the idea of having a family with you, but is less pernicious about it than rudy. he knows how he feels about you; is confident it'll happen someday. that said, this man's breeding kink knows no bounds. the mating press was built for him; the perfect mix of intimacy and intensity, where he can look you in the eye as he ruts you so deep you can feel him in your fucking throat. also the most likely to suggest expanding your sexual horizons. frankly, alejandro is bisexual as fuck. loves the idea of you getting railed by another man (perhaps rudy, winkwonk) while he watches; loves the idea of you taking the both of them at once even more, but it's always about you. your comfort and pleasure is paramount, and he'll go to unfathomable lengths to make sure your needs are met. happy wife, happy life, he says, hauling you into a deep kiss when you point out that you're not technically married, yet.
5.) alex is the perfect equilibrium of rough and gentle. initially respects you as a colleague, maybe a friendly acquaintance. internally, he finds your competence and no bullshit attitude deeply attractive, but he's a consummate professional; would never put you into a position where you'd feel unsafe (outside of the obvious dangerous shit you already do). and then--he sees you shoot a gun. the way your body slides liquid-smooth into weaver, the easy roll back into isosceles in the recoil... it gets him so fucking hard so fucking quick. he has to physically remove himself from the range and rub one out in a bathroom stall, images of those firm hands pumping his weeping cock pulling him over the edge. images that don't fade, to his chagrin, even after the initial arousal is dealt with. every time he sees you, it just... pops back up, so to speak. he keeps it locked down as best he can, but fails pretty comprehensively at doing so. alex finally breaks after catching one too many recruits staring after you when you walk away (fuckin' animals--only he's allowed to do that). he seeks you out when you're both off the clock and ends up fucking you on top of one of the washing machines in the base's communal laundry room. the epitome of soft dom, comes pre-programmed with an obligatory daddy kink that you absolutely abuse to get your way. takes you out to nice restaurants seemingly for the express purpose of fucking you in the fancy-schmanzy bathroom. honest-to-god almost passes out when you choke on his cock for the first time; begs like his life is on the line for you to do it again, please, please--oh, fuck baby, yes. that experience reveals two truths to him: one, that he might be a switch, and two, that he might just have to marry you.
6.) now, keegan is a pretty tough nut to crack. it's hard to read him initially, even without the mask--but once you pick up on his tells, he's an open book. and that book wants you upended on the couch within seconds of you both entering the room. initially its just sex; a shared need to vent some frustration and stress. keegan is very private, mostly due to social discomfort and introverted tendencies. in the early days of your relationship, it manifests as him keeping you at a distance. for the first few months, he only ever kisses you when he's balls deep, and leaves after a five-minute come down. you rectify this through sheer persistence and charm. it's clear to you (far sooner than it is to him) that he's weakest to you when you give him big, sweet doe eyes and ask real pretty. this little trick works particularly well when you're riding him slow over the course of an hour, grinding down each time he bottoms out, til he's shuddering and begging you to please go faster--ah. f-fuckin' hell, kid, you're so tight, so good, fuck. when he cums, it's with a crackling whine of your name that pulls the knot of heat in your belly, sending you over after him. then, exhausted and fucked out, he falls asleep with you in his arms. he's still there the next morning when you wake, expression open and lax as he watches you wake. it's the first time you see keegan without reservations, when you realize he's got a gentleness to him--a kind of poet's sensitivity meant for libraries, museum archives, and the kinder side of nature. all overwritten by force to survive, to complete his mission. once you've seen the cracks in his mask, there's no going back for either of you. very quickly, your relationship shifts from distant and transactional to deeply personal; a tenderness blooming in the same garden as the newfound dedication to one another. keegan doesn't say I love you for a long time, but you know he does--you feel it in the way his dark eyes find you in a crowd, always seeking your familiar shape. you feel it in the way he presses your bodies flush from tip to tail while he's fucking you, when being inside of you isn't close enough. you feel it when he, for the very first time, asks you quietly if you'll stay the night with him, because he sleeps easier when you're there. so you stay--the night, and all those that follow.
7.) oh, gaz. such a mischievous little shit. your friend from your training days, you two scrap like puppies over anything and everything. banter is the cornerstone of your relationship, one-upping being a close second. you delight and infuriate one another in equal measure, bickering amongst yourselves til one of you takes a swing at the other. price has reprimanded you both multiple times for horsing around, but you're never in any real danger--you work too well together. there's a kind of shared consciousness between you; a base-level understanding, two wolves hunting in tandem. still, ghost refuses to let either of you sit together on the heli; not since that one time your game of grabass devolved into full-on grappling on the tarmac. ultimately, one of your little tiffs goes too far; ends with you both laid out on a training mat, groaning into each other's mouth as you grind your hips together through your clothes. you both pretend it didn't happen for maybe a week--then it happens again. and again. and again. being 'together' is never something you actually discuss with kyle. it just... happens. much to the chagrin of your lt and captain, the bickering actually increases when you two get together; becomes more like foreplay you can get away with doing in front of your superiors. and if this man isn't an absolute goddamn menace when it comes to exhibitionism. when he wants you, doesn't matter if you're in the middle of a meeting. fuck it--it's happening, and it's happening now. very playful in and out of the bedroom, likes teasing you in every sense of the word. he edges you so long sometimes you nearly kick him in the head when he finally lets you cum. there's my girl--oh shi--ah, haah, good fuckin' girl. he's largely aloof when it comes to his emotions--not the best at verbalizing how he's feeling or what he needs. so instead, he shows you. he shows up every. single. time. kyle's your friend before he's your lover; your partner in (war) crime(s). he's always got your six, you've always got his, and what is love if not someone who'd die (and live) for you?
8.) soap proudly describes himself as a pleasure dom, which is mostly true. but he's got serious switch potential. which you know for a fact because fuckin' hell, does that boy whimper somethin' pretty when you throat him juuuuust right. he's such a 'tits' man, it's crazy. loves to hold you close, feel your breasts smashed against his chest while he drives deep into the tight clutch of your cunt. but most of all, soap loves being on his knees for you. this man definitely moans while he eats you out, tonguing your pussy like it's a mouth. he feels big in every sense of the word--in sex, in love, in anger. and make no mistake, he loves you deeply. you two have some serious yelling matches, storm about slamming doors til the neighbors threaten to call the feds, but it's just your way. you're both headstrong and stupid; arguments are bound to happen, and any unresolved hurt feelings get a solid patch-job from the frankly earth shattering makeup sex that follows. like rudy, soap wants a big family with you, and he knew early. actually doesn't tell you just how early til years down the line. how after your first official date, he called his ma and asked if she'd send his nan's ring, please? because he's pretty sure he just met his future wife. said ring which glitters on your hand now, as you reach over and flick his forehead teasingly. tell him he can stop trying to romance you, you're already married. and could he grab more diapers on his way home from work?
9.) as are all things with graves, your sexual relationship is about power. he's an asshole in the worst way--condescending, smug, underhanded, sneaky in his sexism so you always look like some hysterical woman when you retaliate. the kicker? it turns you on as much as it pisses you off. he's happy to string you along, work you into a lather just to leave you high and dry. lord help you once he gets a taste of you--bending you over his desk and cramming you full of his cock with precisely zero prep. he kisses you, loves you, fucks you like he hates you. because he kind of does--he just wants you more. graves loves it when you cry, wipes your tears with his thumb before forcing it into your mouth. coos when you offer your neck up to him--yeah? want my hands on ya that bad, sugar? gonna be a good girl for me, hm? fuck yeah you are--and proceeds to make you cum so hard you black out. your 'relationship' (which it is; ring on your finger a year in, a little one on your hip not long after) is intense. toxic. would be just downright miserable if it wasn't so fucking hot. you cling to each other with gouging force; a livid-blue kind of love, painful and permanent. he carries a picture of you in his wallet: a small polaroid of you in your wedding dress, ashing a cigarette with one hand while the other flips the cameraman (him) the bird.
10.) and the roughest of them all: price wants more than to love or fuck you -- he wants to possess you. he's so tightly controlled everywhere else in his life (has to be for his work), doesn't seem the type to lose his head over a bird. but when he meets you, something shifts. you're soft. impossibly good. flippant and stubborn as a mule, sure -- you drive him up the fuckin' wall with your headstrong antics. (so goddamn petulant. so sure you're fuckin' right.) but war and death hasn't stained your world, left your indomitable spirit unsullied and intact. which, unfortunately, means you haven't gotten a thorough education on the importance of discipline. price wants to consume your disobedience; crack your rose-tinted glasses under his heel, roll the ambrosia of you in his cupped tongue. he'll do more than make you fall in line -- he'll make you want to do it. it's really just a matter of time before he acts on it. when he does, it's decisive. unsubtle. he crowds you up against the door of your flat on a sticky summer night, brandy on your breath. sinks a hand into your hair, holds you steady as he brings your mouths together with bruising intensity. he fucks you before he ever makes love to you; sinks his teeth into the velvet of your shoulder as he crushes you flat to the tabletop using just his bodyweight. snarls low when you keen wordlessly, overwhelmed and empty-headed at the deep burn-sting of his cock stretching your pretty little cunt, the lewd slap of his thighs against your ass. he batters you til you're not sure what's sweat and what's tears; til your skin bears a mural to his cacoethes, all blue and purple like a deep west sunrise. til there's not a person alive who won't be able to see you're his. always have been, always will, right dove? go on--tell him. tell him who this pussy belongs to.

Alchemy, the untouched friend of Witchcraft
Tumblr media
If there is something interesting that is nearly not used on mostly of the witch community, is Alchemy, and is something from which we could take some few useful stuffs.
As always, disclaimer first, I’m not an expert on the subject and I barely if I read a couple of books about the topic (from another 10 untouched ones lol), so as always in life, take what I say with tweezers. This is meant to be a light superficial view to open a door of possibilities in a mix of Witchcraft and Alchemy, is not a thesis. Saying that, to the core of the question.
Alchemy use elements. A lot of them.
The three primes or Tria Prima (the basic 3 materials): Sulfur (Related to the Soul and the principle of combustibility, so it has volatility, can burn, explode, combust), Mercury (Related to the Spirit, the principle of fusibility so the material can be fused together and volatility so a substance vaporizes), and Salt (Relate to the Body, the principle of non-combustibility and non-volatility).
Our beloved Four basic Elements: Air, Earth, Fire, Water.
The Seven Metals associated with the seven classical planets: Lead, corresponding with Saturn. Tin, corresponding with Jupiter. Iron, corresponding with Mars. Gold, corresponding with the Sun. Copper, corresponding with Venus. Mercury, corresponding with Mercury. Silver, corresponding with the Moon.
The 13 Mundane Elements and Later Metals: Antimony, Arsenic, Bismuth, Cobalt, Magnesium, Manganese, Nickel, Oxygen, Phlogiston, Phosphorus, Platinum, Sulfur, Zinc (All of them with a lot of interesting properties and functions, in and out the alchemy world).
The 10 Alchemical Compounds: Acid, Sal ammoniac, Aqua fortis, Aqua regia, Aqua vitae, Amalgam, Cinnabar, Vinegar, Vitriol, Brimstone (All of them also with amazing properties).
And what interesting me the most (at least to my way to do witchcraft), The 12 Alchemical Processes:
Calcination (Aries): The thermal treatment of a solid to removing impurities or volatile substances.
Congelation (Taurus): Term used in medieval and early modern alchemy for the process known today as crystallization. Process by which a solid form into a structure known as a crystal, by precipitating from a solution or freezing.
Fixation (Gemini): Process by which a previously volatile substance is "transformed" into a form (often solid) that is not affected by fire.
Solution (Cancer): Homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances. In such a mixture, a solute is a substance dissolved in another substance, known as a solvent.
Digestion (Leo): A process in which gentle heat is applied to a substance over a period of several weeks.
Distillation (Virgo): Separating the components or substances from a liquid mixture by using selective boiling and condensation.
Sublimation (Libra): The transition of a substance directly from the solid to the gas state, without passing through the liquid state.
Separation (Scorpio): Converts a mixture or solution of chemical substances into two or more distinct product mixtures. Process of distinguishing to two or more substance in order to obtain purity.
Ceration (Sagittarius): Chemical process, by continuously adding a liquid by imbibition to a hard, dry substance while it is heated. Typically, this treatment makes the substance softer.
Fermentation/ Putrefaction (Capricorn): A metabolic process that produces chemical changes in organic substrates through the action of enzymes/ Decomposition of organic matter by bacterial or fungal digestion.
Multiplication (Aquarius): Process to increase the potency of the elixir or projection powder, in order to increase the gains in the subsequent projection.
Projection (Pisces): Process to transmute a lesser substance into a higher form; often lead into gold.
Damn, alchemy even have symbols to Units: Month, Day, Hour, Dram (Unit of mass between 1 and 3 grams), Half Dram, Ounce (Unit of mass, weight or volume of 28 grams, Half Ounce, Scruple (1 grams), Pound (500 grams).
So just with this simple 2 pages of basic Wikipedia info, we have a ton of new things to use. Everything here has specific properties, some more physical and chemical oriented, but others (like the 3 Tria Prima and The 12 Alchemical Processes) have a lot of correspondences with the witch life itself.
The 12 Alchemical Processes could be absolutely used to represent an desired outcome.
Calcination uses thermal treatment, so it can boost the Fire element of a spell. It also “removing impurities or volatile substances”, so can be applied to generate a mild fever to get rid off the flu, or to boost the organs that clean the body (kidneys and liver mostly)
Congelation turns a solid by freezing, can boost the Water element, so all the “freezer spells” can be boosted with this.
Fixation? A volatile substance is transformed into a solid form? Sound pretty much to grounding, or to help to focus an ADHD head as mine, or to put down to earth someone who is VOLATILE AND VIOLENT. Also, Earth element.
Solution? Homogeneous mixture of two or more substances? It sounds like an aid to make two people on conflict to get into an agreement, or to boost a new business by mixing the opportunities with the action. Air element.
Digestion. A process in which gentle heat is applied to a substance over a period of several weeks? It sounds like something that can help any process that need digestion (bad news must be “digested”, hard choices must be “consulted with the pillow”), and the “gentle heat” sounds comforting. Someone is grieving? Maybe Digestion can help them to overcome the awful times.
Distillation. Separating the components or substances. Anything that need to be separated can be helped with this. Relationships that must end, breakups, cut the ties with older things or habits.
Sublimation. The transition of a substance. I heard trans rights? Can this maybe help with your hormones? Or even to transition from what you previously left behind with the distillation, to focus in a new better future.
Separation. Process of distinguishing to two or more substance in order to obtain purity. How to choose from two or more choices? How to pick the better one? The one with purity? Separation maid aid.
Ceration. A hard, dry is heated to make it softer. Make that person less frigid, make the boss less bitchy, make your chronic pain less hurtful, make your bills less heavy, all that you can think in make softer.
Fermentation/ Putrefaction. I personally love this one. Produces changes in organic substrates and decomposition of organic matter by bacterial or fungal digestion. Prime element to curses. All what you want to rid off in the most disgusting way. May their flesh get rotten under a car in a hot summer.
Multiplication. Process to increase the potency of the elixir in order to increase the gains in the subsequent projection. MONEY MONEY MAKE MORE MONEY, all what need to be increased and all what you want to multiply, go go go!
Projection. Transmute a lesser substance into a higher form “lead into gold”. Perfect to get better as a person, to learn to adapt, accept, to grow compassion, love, etc.
At this you can add the Units, the metals and mundane elements, the 4 elements, the tria prima, your crystals and herbs and sigils and all. And your spells will be filled with components and correspondences.
What’s better, a lot of the physical elements are not too hard to get (some yes, they are, but you are not here to make lead into gold with a full set of chemistry), but alchemy use a lot of symbology, so even if you don’t have the physical element, you can use their properties with the symbol, just as any other sigil.
Salt is easy. Tin in a food can. Antimony in mostly all the rocks. Arsenic in apple seeds (technically no but still). Cobalt and Manganese basically everywhere. Magnesium in your own body. Nickel in coins. Oxygen in the air., Phosphorus, Zinc and Sulfur in food. Acid in anything acid lol. Aqua vitae in alcohol (especially Whisky). Vinegar in vinegars.
Long story short, if you feel that maybe you are lacking something, check some books about alchemy would maybe help. Don’t pick super chemical specific pro books and don’t be discouraged by the terms, pick what can be useful to you, and I hope this open some doors and bring more curiosity about this amazing topic.

Citizen Science and Contributing To Scientific Endeavor When You're Not "A Scientist"
Comments on some of my posts about science and misinformation express frustration with scientific establishments, and want to see more accessibility and attention given to amateurs participating in the scientific process and having their scientific voices heard.
If being involved in the creation of knowledge and discovery is something important to you, that's something I strongly encourage! It's absolutely possible. Amateur researchers with a passion and an eye for detail have made some fantastic discoveries - but what is often glossed over in stories like these are the years of work, the patient dedication, and the collaboration with university researchers that often underlie such discoveries.
The search for truth and information and the passion for science is present in a lot of people who aren't official "scientists" - curiosity is natural! And if participation in scientific observation, hypothesizing, experimentation, and discovering new things about the world is important to you, there are lots of ways to go about contributing - and the new year is a great time to start.
What are you interested in?
Ecology
Observing the world around you is for everybody. Getting invested in the environment of your hometown is for everybody. And, as the Mythbusters famously said,
Tumblr media
Some ideas for a local ecology project:
Record the temperature outside every day at the same time - at sunrise, or noon, or sunset, or midnight. Depending on where you are, the local weather recording station may be miles away or on top of a mountain - measure the temperature yourself and compare it each day to what your app says. When is it accurate? When isn't it?
Record the weather every day. How much precipitation? What time of day? What kind?
Record what animals you see every day, where, when, and how many. Or choose a specific animal, like birds, or bees on flowers, or turtles or frogs in a local pond, or whiptail lizards vs. invasive house geckos, and record the numbers you see each day.
Record when in the year you see the first, or last, of a plant or animal. When the crocuses sprout, when the buds appear on the maple trees, when you see the first clover flowers or prickly pear flowers, when the first robin comes out or the first lizards come out of hibernation.
If you have an outdoor cat or a free-roaming dog, attach a GoPro or similar small camera to its collar to see where it goes and what it does.
Identify the plants growing in your neighborhood, and check in on it regularly to keep track of how each one fares in different weather conditions, or if any animals particularly like or don't like to eat it.
Bulk order some test strips, then take a small sample of soil from a local park or water from a local waterway each weekend and test them for PH, lead, chemicals, or whatever. See if it changes over the year, or after a heavy rainfall, or during drought.
Take a photo of the same spot every day for a year.
Linguistics
The study of how people use language! Everybody uses language in some capacity.
Do you have any small children near you? Talk to them! Record how they pronounce things and what they call new (or even familiar) concepts. Look for patterns.
Ask people you know if "dog" and "blog" rhyme, or if "Alohop" is a good pun for a pineapple beer. My family gets ENDLESS amounts of mileage out of this one with each other. Ask people you know questions about how they pronounce things, or what they call things. Make maps of dialectical differences between generations, neighborhoods, etc. Track linguistic shifts in the modern world.
History
Everyone and everywhere has a history, and accurate history is pressingly relevant always.
See if you have a local historical society, library archive, or history museum that is looking for volunteers to transcribe or translate collections.
Get elbow-deep in local archives. You likely have some sort of local archive near you that has not been fully digitized. Go in with a topic you want to learn about - Black families, Jewish communities, how your hometown transferred from Indigenous hands to settler ones, women who owned their own businesses, immigration, inter-racial relationships, sports, ice harvesting, farming practices, contemporary opinions on a major world history event that now seems so inevitable, sports and people's reactions to sports - and read everything in newspapers, wills, deeds, photographs, or other available records about your topic of choice. See if you can find connections that you haven't seen anyone else talking about.
These are just some things that occur to me immediately as something that anyone can do, if you're sufficiently interested in a question and want to discover more about it. The more local your topic, the less likely anyone has a solid answer to whatever you're wondering - and the more immediately relevant to the people around you your discoveries may be!
Combining it with a New Year's Resolution can also get you more motivated to do the things you want to do. Is your resolution to get more exercise? Take a brisk walk each morning and take a picture of the same area every day for a year. Take a walk every weekend down to the lake and count the turtles and frogs you see. Is your resolution to keep a daily diary For Real This Time? If nothing else, resolve to write down the weather and precipitation each day! Do you want to volunteer more or meet new people? Look for citizen science or local history groups! Feeling like you're working toward something Real is a great motivator.
Henry David Thoreau's detailed descriptions of the nature each day around Walden Pond in the 1840s provides a valuable benchmark for modern ecologists to compare environmental and climatic changes since then on a granular level. Silly rhyming poems and idiosyncratic spellings in letters and diaries help linguists track dialectical and pronunciation changes across time. Amateur science is great and valuable! We all can have a part in understanding and paying deeper attention to the world around us, if we want to.

I was reading your porn addiction post, and I just wondering what you consider addiction if not some sort of disease? I also think porn addiction and stuff in that vein is fake but I also can’t think that addiction is just people choosing to be that way even though they hate it. I say this as someone who was actually addicted to substances like I feel like there was something going on there that can’t be explained by the idea that addicts just choose to be like that. (I don’t think you think addicts just choose to be like that I just don’t really know any alternative schools of thought lol) I don’t mean this in an accusatory way I’m sorry if it comes off that way, I am genuinely curious what you think cause your posts are always so enlightening.
first of all you have to keep in mind that 'addiction' has no singular meaning. even if we confine ourselves to talking about psychoactive substances, 'addiction' can range from the 'classic' case of increasing, compulsive, self-destructive use, to cases where a person's usage may actually be stable in the long term but they're chemically dependent on the substance (think: the way doctors talk about chronic pain patients who are dependent on opioid painkillers; then compare to how they talk about psychiatric patients who are dependent on SSRIs. for example). you can get dx'd with a 'substance use disorder' purely on the basis of how much you take/consume, even if you don't feel it's causing impairment in your life, particularly if you let slip that someone else in your life has expressed concern or tried to stop you. race and class contribute to distinctions here as well, where certain people have leeway to be seen (even in a psychiatric setting!) as 'experimenting' with substances, or using them 'recreationally', where the same usage pattern in a person who's otherwise marginalised might be flagged as 'addictive' and in need of intervention. all of this gets even messier when psychiatrists and physicians try to justify applying discourses of 'addiction' to eating, gambling, sex, social media, and so forth. recall that 'addiction' in the roman republic and middle ages had contested legal and augural meanings that could be positive as well as negative, and that by the seventeenth century it was largely used as a reflexive verb with a predominantly positive meaning—as in, "we sincerely addict ourselves to almighty god" (thomas fuller, 1655) or, of plato, "he addicted himself to the discipline of pythagoras" (thomas hearne, 1698). it was not until the twentieth century that "addict" came to be widely used as a noun defining people who were passively suffering on a medical model.
i don't mean to be evasive here but to point out that asking "how do we define addiction besides a disease model?" presumes already that the disease model is the singular and inescapable way of understanding addiction in the first place—this is not true historically or presently. addiction is a muddled concept and has always involved moral discourses; attempts to present it as a 'pure' or 'objective' medico-scientific judgment are in fact recent and still unstable.
to the extent that it is useful to talk about addiction as a disease—that is, as a state of suffering that is imposed upon the sufferer, that is a disruption of a desired state of health and well-being—i think it is critical to keep in mind that such a disease is social as much as biological. you can start here by pointing out that substance use is often precipitated by the necessity of withstanding miserable life conditions (ranging from extreme poverty, domestic abuse, social marginalisation, &c, to the 'standard', inherently alienating and miserable conditions anyone endures in capitalist society). but there are other social factors that contribute to the presentation of substance use as compulsive, escalating, and self-endangering. eg, lack of a safe, steady supply is a huge factor here! when people are forced to rely on inconsistent, unregulated supplies to get high, this contributes greatly to drug 'binge' behaviours and endangers users. there is also the fact that drug users are often already marginalised (esp along lines of race, class, ability, &c) and are then further marginalised on the basis of being drug users. what would substance use look like in a society where using didn't relegate people to the social margins, or render them socially disposable? what if people had social supports, and weren't forced to toil away their entire lives at jobs that make them miserable for pay that's barely enough to live on? what sorts of patterns of substance use would we see then? so then, is it the drugs themselves that are the problem here, purely neurobiologically? or is there a larger story to tell about how people come to exist in such a state where substance use is increasingly hard for them to engage in with safeguards; where being a substance user causes them to lose whatever degree of social connection and support they may have had, which was often insufficient already; where they are often unable to integrate substance use into a full and connected life because they are told they must either give up enjoyment of a substance entirely, or be continually branded 'relapsing', 'non-compliant', 'dangerous', &c &c.....?
at the end of the day i don't think it's helpful or accurate to talk about addiction as a disease because it decontextualises drug use from all of these factors: why people do it, why it becomes harmful for some, why it's assumed we must simply 'stop' and 'resist' in order to 'get better'. disease explanations blame the substances themselves on a reductive bio-mechanical level (& again, this becomes especially untenable philosophically when we think at all about 'behavioural addictions'). the point here isn't to say that addicts are just blithely waltzing into addiction—or, indeed, to say that drug use is intrinsically a bad thing that should be avoided! it's a pretty typical feature of human existence that many of us enjoy consuming substances that alter our mental and physical states, and that's not inherently bad. when i push back against a disease model of addiction, i'm not invoking a model of personal responsibility or individual choice. i'm asking how we can understand drug use within a much broader social and historically contextualised frame, and how that can help people who are in many different states wrt drugs, from 'currently engaging in patterns of usage that feel compulsive and terrible' to 'never done a drug in their life'.

It's Raining Cybertronian
Content: Rung X (GN) Reader [Fluff], discontinued - no idea if I will ever finish this
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2.1K
-Rung-
It took all but a nano-second before Rung could register the feeling of free fall. He knew what was coming. He had been ejected from ships before. Watching his transport sizzle past the cloudline, he did not have the strength to turned towards the ground. He just braced for impact - just a few clicks more..
System Reboot.. 3. 2. 1.
He woke up in pain. It wasn't from the impact, it was like some of his armor was melted off. Most likely from a explosion but how?..
Pressure senors were the first to come online. He could feel liquid precipitation against his armor. Dihydrogen Monoxide his internal database supplemented: non-lethal, a chemical compound common on class-M planets, essential for most organic life.
Next his audio and olfactory sensors. Accompanied by the rain, he could hear a cackling of fire. It was close enough that he could smell the burnt metal and plastics. Strange enough, next to him, someone or something was talking in Galactic Standard. "This is y/n of the Dee Ai, requesting cybertronian medical support, I repeat, requesting cybertronian medical support."
Immediately when his optics flickered on, the pacing creature stopped all movement and sound. It was a bipedal organic a third of his size walked towards him. It was hard to tell what species they were when layered in a dense synthetic material, most likely to keep them insulated from the air precipitation and other natural elements.
He immediately tried to get up, only for the small thing to run to him, two servos motioning steadily, "Easy big bot, you were hurt badly," they said.
Sure enough, warnings overloaded his hud. He only managed to get to an upright position when he clenched his side. Like he suspected, most of his body sustains burns, his lower half suffering the most damage. His peds were practically warped by extreme heat.
"I believe you are correct in that assessment," he groaned. He looked around, sure enough there was a smoldering pile of metal behind him. He was under the treeline, though it offered minimal protection against the elements. "Who are you and where am I?"
"Call me Buddy. I'm a cartographer. You are on a Class-M planet, 2nd to the sun, in the Centuro System. I'll have to get back to you on the exact coordinates. How are you feeling?"
Rung's optics shut off trying to parse through his internal diagnostics. It was no use, whatever radiation was affecting him, was also messing with his systems. "In pain," he groaned, "Might be able to override my pain inhibitors."
"Wait, I might be able to help," said the being. Before running to a land base vehicle. A truck built for off world exploration. They came back carrying a machine wrapped in a flexible material. "I have a EM generator here. If you'll allow me, I can put these clamps on the areas that hurt the most."
He just nodded. Ordinarily, he would be curious as to how this organic knew about his biology, it'll have to wait. The creature was talking to him again. "It's going to feel weird but I am going to have to climb on you, speak up if its too much,” they said.
Rung just watch. It was odd. His pressure sensors were reacting both to the water and to the beings scuttering around his chassis. They were much more spritely than he previously thought, moving fluidly against the metal plating. With each clamp, the pain ebbed away and so did the helm ache.
"There, that's the most I can do for now." They said, holding out a servo, "We'll just have to wait until the rain stops until we can do more."
His vents were already circulating un hindered, a cybertronian sigh of relief. "You have done more than enough, Thank you. I heard you sending out a distress signal, have you received anything back?"
They shook their head, "No luck. I think it's the storm. This planet has some weird electrical anomalies. I was out measuring them when you crashed on my ship."
His optics went wide. The burning mass at the center of the clearing was a ship. Their ship. Rung started to panic. "Goodness, I am so sorry. I didn't realize.. you were not hurt were you or anyone else?"
The small creature pinched their nose arch, "Easy there big bot. No one here but me and I'm fine. I'm more dumbstruck than anything else. What happened to you?"
"I don't know. All I remember is taking a shuttle for shore leave and experiencing turbulence. Next thing I know, The exterior hatch was gone and I was jettisoned out." He rubbed his neck, "I know what it may seem but I had no intention of destroying your ship."
They laughed dejectedly. "I believe you, it's just, this isn't the first time my ship turned to scrap for an inexplicable reason."
Rung stared at the being. Were they being serious? "Is this a common occurrence for you?"
"Once I rebuild the Dee Ai again this will be the sixthteenth iteration."
“How much?" If they caught his surprise, they chose to ignore it.
"A story for another time. By the way, what is your name? I can't keep calling you 'big bot' afterall."
He tipped his helm. He would comply, but he actually liked the nickname. "My designation is Rung."
There was excitement in their voice. It made his spark flutter. "It is a pleasure to meet you Rung."
It was curious to watch them makeshift a shelter between the doors of their vehicle. It would have been easier just to shelter inside, but they were determined to keep within audio distance of him. They were considerate, asking multiple times if he was okay. The constant rain was a nuisance but nothing life threatening. If anything, a welcome distraction from his more serious injuries.
Finally, for what seemed like a joor, the being unmasked their head covering. Much to his surprise, he recognized their species. "Forgive me if I am wrong, but are you human?"
Their head tilted. Was that a sign of curiosity? "I am. I am surprised that you know. Do you have any experience with my people?"
"A friend of mine is fascinated about your culture." Rung chuckled at the memory, "actually he would be ecstatic to meet you."
The human was drying what looked like fur at the top of their head. "I don't know about that, depends on what he is interested in."
Rung thought fondly of the drinking establishment. "He runs a bar on the ship. Very expressive and well versed in human idioms that I admit have trouble understanding. As for interest, I believed he called the media 'sit-coms'."
They chuckled at the comment. "That might be a problem. It's been so long since I consumed human media I wouldn't know where to start. Ask me about history, biology, or even psychology then we can have a conversation."
His spark jolted. "Your species has a science for studying the mind?" he could not hold the excitement in his voice.
"Sure, we have whole institutions dedicated to it. There is nothing like human ineffability."
"You say that as if your species is impossible to understand."
The individual sighed, "Without getting too deep, Humans are contradictory in nature. We can be just as caring and compassionate as we can be violent and brutal. We are individualistic yet our survival depends on our cooperation with each other. We have a deep seated fear of the unknown, yet we are natural explorers, having populated nearly all of Earth's continents with nothing but tools made out of sticks and stone."
Did he hear that correctly, their entire planet with basic tools? "Your entire planet? Surely your exaggerating."
They shook their head, "Not at all. Once my ancestors mastered fire, they had everything they needed to survive the harshest environments of our planet."
"I have heard of how resourceful your species could be. I shouldn't be surprised. After all, our civil war ended with your planet." he muttered. "As a psychiatrist by trade, I feel like my woeful ignorance of psychology in other races has hindered advancement in the field."
They shrugged, "You shouldn't beat yourself up about that. It's not your fault that relationships between organic and inorganic lifeforms have always been tentative at best. Honestly, it's usually easier just to avoid the other class of lifeforms most of the time."
"Yet you pulled me out of a fire and continue to talk to me." Rung countered.
"I rather not have someone burn in front of me if I can help it. Besides, what are the chances that, on a random planet, a cybertronian falls from the cloud line, only to land on my ship. Your practically the size of said ship" They laughed, "I can't even be mad at how ridiculous that is. The least I could do is have a conversation."
That's right. It was his fault that they were in this situation. And yet, the small being seemed so at ease. They seem to talk as if he was one of their own. A realization struck him: In all his millions of years, this was the first time he held a conversation with another organic lifeform. A full conversation, not some trading banter or a parsed out order. He was mortified, and here, this human managed to bridge that gap without him realizing it.
He wanted to commit this individual to memory. He had read reports about humans. Their faces bore an uncanny resemblance to cybertronians. He could attest to that, as their glassy optics stared steadily up at his. Familiar yet other worldly. Their body were covered in protective material. Their servos and head only exposed. Their epidermal layer looked soft, no doubt rivaling the mesh of his protoform.
A voice cut through his thoughts, "Are you okay Rung? Your optics flickered for a second."
They noticed that? Right, his glasses were burnt up in the fire. "Apologies, I do that when I am thinking."
They chuckled, "Good to know. So why travel to this end of the universe."
"My captain had declared that he would gather a crew to search for the Knights of Cybertron."
"So why did you sign up?"
Rung was stumped. No one actually ask him that. It was his job, yes, but it was a deliberate choice made of his own will, "At first, I wanted to find Cyber-Utopia too. But now, I don't think I was ready to go back to Cybertron. Not yet."
Their face softened. "That as good of reason as any."
They sat in a comfortable silence. Even then, Rung watched the human. A pang of guilt rippled across him. It was his fault they were stranded, so he made a promise to himself that he will do all that he can to help this individual. To repay their kindness.
The patter of the rain reduced to a light drizzle. Soon enough sunlight was filtering through the treetops. The human moved from under the shelter to stretch their limbs toward the sky. They started laughing. "It's about damn time and we're in luck. There's a Rainbow."
"A Rain-Bow?" He asked curiously. Rung followed their gaze. A multicolored arc of refracted light hugged the nearly cloudless sky. Beautiful. Then again, he looked back at the obvious joy of the human and his spark fluttered. He would have never seen this back on cybertron.
– BREAK –
Within the joor, Ratchet, Rodimus, and Ultra Magnus was on the ground. It was curious to watch the different reactions play out. Ratchet and Ultra Magnus seemed to regard the human with suspicion while the Captain could barely contain his excitement. Even at a distance, he could feel Rodimus EM field flaring. Yet the humans were unperturbed by the mechs towering over them..
Rung lost track of their conversation when the human took the commanding officers to the remains of their ship.
"I can't tell if you have the worst luck ever or that your the luckiest mech alive," Ratchet grumbled as he went to work.
"Thanks I think?"
"No no no. I mean it. Your peds are practically melted off. Radiation poisoning throughout the frame and fuel lines are laced with trace amounts Dark Energon."
"That would suggest that the human’s ship was fueled by that element." Rung shuddered. It was a deadly chemical to all Cybertronians.
"No doubt about it. The miracle is that I never seen such a robust fuel circulation like yours before. Your spark is literally cleansing itself of the radiation."
"If my body was that irradiated, shouldn't I be in more pain," There was an uncomfortable silence. "Ratchet."
The old medic groaned, "Your pain inhibitors are being dulled through a series of makeshift EM clamps. Nothing lethal. The tech is practically archaic, but the clamps are placed on key points along your frame for maximum effectiveness.
He continued, "Combined with the proficiency in welds throughout your body leads me to conclude that this human is quite familiar with our biology. Uncharacteristically so."
"What do you think, Ratchet?"
A long pause. "I think they are dangerous."

So, I'm both an artist and a scientist, right? Specifically, on the science side, I'm a geologist. So let me infodump my thoughts about marble as an artistic medium.
What is marble? Marble is a metamorphic rock, meaning it is a rock that has been changed by heat and pressure. Originally, marble was limestone, which is on the chemical scale calcium carbonate. Where does limestone come from?
Two separate processes: biological and nonbiological. The biological sources are ocean organisms, constructing tiny shells for themselves, pulling the calcium and carbon out of seawater. They then die, and their shells accumulate on the sea floor. The nonbiological process is precipitation: the water becomes saturated with calcium and carbon, and it solidifies out of the water and settles down onto the ocean floor below.
After deposition, the calcium carbonate undergoes diagenesis which turns it from layers of shells and carbonate mud into a solid rock called limestone. Then the limestone has to endure heat and pressure, often due to tectonics - the plates of the Earth moving and weighing down what was once the ocean floor, baking it and crushing it with immense heat and pressure for even more time. We're talking older than the dinosaurs here.
Marble is ancient rock, formed from the never ending cycles of our planet, the carbon cycle, tectonics, life, and the ocean - and then finally we humans find it, and see it is beautiful, and then! Then we make art of it. Art of something our planet has spent millions of years crafting. A rock that has been on an incredible journey before it makes it to the hands of the artist. And the artist takes something that has been through so much, and makes life out of it again - soft shapes, organic curves.

Mr. Sherlock Holmes
Pay attention! To how cute and soft and bubbly Holmes is when he first met Watson in a Study in Scarlet. Just like a BABY. (long post btw)
While on the way to meet Sherlock Holmes, Stamford tries to warn Watson about how machine-like this guy can be. But he's wrong!
Here's PROOF:
At the sound of our steps he [Sherlock Holmes] glanced round and sprang to is feet with a cry of pleasure. "I've found it! I've found it," he shouted to my companion [Stamford], running towards us with a test tube in his hand. "I have found a reagent which is precipitated by haemoglobin and nothing else." Had he discovered a gold mine, greater delight could not have shone upon his features.
I found it! I found it! (p≧w≦q)
"Dr. Watson, Mr. Sherlock Holmes," said Stamford, introducing us. "How are you?" he said cordially, gripping my hand with a strength for which I should hardly have given him credit. "You have been in Afghanistan, I perceive." "How on earth did you know that?" I asked in astonishment. "Never mind," said he, chuckling to himself. "The question now is about haemoglobin..."
how are u? (✿◡‿◡)
"Why, man, it is the most practical medico-legal discovery for years. Don't you see that it gives us an infallible test for blood stains? Come over here now!" he seized me by the coat sleeve in his eagerness...
THE MOST AMAZING FABULOUS PRACTICAL NOBEL-PRIZE MEDICO-LEGAL DISCOVERY EVERRR!!!!! \(≧∇≦)ノ
"Ha ha!" he said clapping his hands, and looking as delighted as a child with a new toy. "What do you think of that?"
🎩
 つ ◕∇◕ ༽つ ⚗️🧪 = ༼ つ ◕∇◕ ༽つ 🧸🚗
"Criminal cases are continually hinging upon that one point. A man is suspected of a crime months perhaps after it has been committed. His linen or clothes are examined and brownish stains discovered upon them. Are they bloodstains, or mud stains, or rust stains, or fruit stains, or what are they? That is a question that has puzzled many an expert and why? Because there was no reliable test. Now we have the Sherlock Holmes' test, and there will no longer be any difficulty. " His eyes fairly glittered as he spoke, and he put his hand to his heart snd bowed as if to some applauding crowd conjured up by his imagination.
EVERYONE, Behold...
The Sherlock Holmes' test
And my man's got glittering eyes!
Sherlock Holmes seemed delighted at the idea of sharing his rooms with me. "I have an eye on a suite in Baker Street," he said, "which would suit us down to the ground. You don't mind the smell of strong tobacco I hope?" "I always smoke 'ship's' myself,' I answered. "That's good enough. I generally have chemicals about, and occasionally do experiments. Would that annoy you?"
Of course Holmes is delighted! Stamford just got him a beau!
"Let me see - what are my other shortcomings? I get in the dumps at times, and don't open my mouth for days on end. You must not think I am sulky when I do that. Just let me alone, and I'll soon be right. What have you to confess now? It's just as well for two fellows to know the worst of one another before they begin to date live together." I laughed at this cross-examination. "I keep a bull pup," I said, "and I object to rows because my nerves are shaken, and I get up at all sorts of ungodly hours, and I am extremely lazy. I have another set of vices when I'm well, but those are the principal ones at present."
sulky little holmes o(TヘTo)
"Do you include violin playing in your category of rows?" he asked, anxiously. "It depends on the player," I answered. "A well-played violin is a treat for the gods - a badly-played one - " "Oh, that's all right," he cried, with a merry laugh. "I think we may consider the thing as settled - that is if the rooms are agreeable to you."
do you include violin-playing in your category of rows? (•᷄- •᷅ ;)
"Call for me here at noon tomorrow, and we'll go together and settle everything," he answered. "All right - noon exactly," - said I, shaking his hand. We left him working among his chemicals, and we walked together towards my hotel.

Note
I rewatched your entire Stema video playlist and noted all my suggestions here. I hope this will be helpful.
The mechanics of Geo types only being immune to Electro if they are grounded. You said you thought it might be too complicated. It would be best if you put it differently. Instead of saying, "Geo types are only immune to Electro if they are grounded," you could say, "Geo types are immune to Electro types, but there are some moves and items that can remove this immunity."
Nautigrade's Cryosleep Attribute: what if they are immune to most damage, except for supereffective damage, like Shedinja's Wonder Guard, except it only works when asleep?
The moves are Sublimation and Deposition. Having them only affect Cryo and Aero types would make them too situational to be useful. I would have both affect all types except Hydro, Pyro, Geo, and Electro. Why these specifically? Well, you probably guessed that Hydro and Electro are because of Liquid From Phazorm and Plazorm; as for Pyro and Geo, they would represent the factors of heat and pressure on the phase change diagram.
The weather mechanic. Since the weather affects the Hydro type's Speed and Cryo type's Physical Defense, to keep the symmetry, it would affect the Pyro type's Chemical Attack, leaving moves to be affected by terrain if you decide to implement it.
The possible field mechanic. To maintain symmetry and contrast with the weather, I suggest separating the electromagnetic field into an electric and magnetic field so there would be three with a gravitational field. They would buff and debuff Electro, metalla, and geo moves; the electric field buffs electro moves and debuff geo moves, the magnetic field buffs metalla moves and debuffs electro moves, and the gravitational field buffs geo moves and debuffs metalla moves; I not sure if the science tracks but that's my idea.
Evolution methods. I noticed that the evolution methods on your roster are a little... too varied. The first gen of Pokemon only had three ways to evolve a Pokemon: level up, elemental stone, and trading. I would suggest you narrow down the possible ways your stemas can evolve. If I were you, I would keep the level-up evolutions and create a base evolution (like have your version of Firestone to evolve Malloaf and Gelero) and one more original evolution method, maybe the move type-based one that Stemolt has and expand it to other type changing branch evolutions like Levestress and Tunirad.
First, thank you for taking the time to watch and care for my works! It means a lot to hear so much about my project. As I have been developing my game whilst making these videos, I can confirm/talk about the points you made.
Despite the YouTube Community poll, so far Geo is coded to be immune to Electro. I can definitely see some Electro attacks piercing this immunity, but yeah I think it's easier to remember if they are normally immune. Also as an aside, I do not plan to have held items in this game.
Referencing Wonder Guard would be neat. I hope it doesn't make people think they are too similar. Still, it's something I would heavily consider when I get to coding Nautigrade's Signature Attribute.
Sublimation and Deposition were ways to make Phazorm immediately change between Gas and Solid forms. While it may be situational to apply on other Stemas, the concept was that it was to change the user's type right before attacking as every turn has 2 actions for each Stema.
Having Sunny weather specifically affect Pyro's Ch Atk is a fun way to balance the weathers which I also agree with. A part of me is thinking about possibly removing the Sunny weather and just make Liquid Precipitation and Solid Precipitation be the only weather setting skills... Though thematically Sunny fits really well so there's more of a chance that I keep it.
I actually have specific designs to wield Electromagnetic and Gravitational fields, but they are much later in the game. I'll come to think about the field effects eventually. For now, idk, I guess one would let Electro pierce the Geo immunity while the other makes grounds airborne Stema? I can consider having Electro and Geo damage boosts but it might be too much. We'll see there's a lto on my plater before those skills.
A lot of my advancement requirements have changed while I have been making videos. Some of the specific ones like Tunirad and Jelter were supposed to have some NPCs that can help tell you how to advance them. However, I can see Malloaf and Levestress being Skill-type requirements like Stemotl.
Again, thank you for being invested in my project! It's going to take a long while, but I really hope that I can deliver!
