This is the third book for this series, and I trusted whoever selected these stories to make sure it could be read as standalones — some stories are so much better following all previous books, but I digress. This book finally marks the 56%, 21h24m left of the book. Steady, is a win. I might also have to just trim my nails before the next review happens. Whoever had the idea for very long almond shaped nails? At least they aren’t squared. Anyway, enough nonsense, cause my fingers are hurting. It’s Jan 25, right after posting my latest review, and the end was on Jan 26, 7:21pm
Main characters are Izzy Gallo and James Caldo. Although I did get a good description of Izzy (I think, blue eyes, olive skin and dark hair — but that’s about it), James is still kinda of a blank canvas. I only have broad tattooed, pierced and green eyes. Like, bitches, I need more. Like the other book I read, former SEAL - this one did zilch even tho I enjoyed the plot. I couldn’t connect. But it was fun. It did end on a cliffhanger, that I take will come to a conclusion next volume, but the story will focus on other couple for sure. This is a wrap, and I didn’t like it. Loose ends. Ugh. And yeah, that’s my review. I’m salty.
Onto the next ones, babes. Bye.

Hi, hi, hii!! Here's a silly little idea I had: headcanons about the AIs developing feelings for someone. What do you think would initially make them feel attraction? Is there a particular trait that makes them-- metaphorically --fall head over heels? What makes them have the realization that their affections are suddenly less than platonic? How subtle or not subtle are they about their feelings? Would they be the type to immediately blurt out these new feelings, or are they the type to never address them?
You don't have to answer all of these questions; I just thought they'd be helpful. AaAA I love your writing so much, especially how you write for AM. Okay, I'll shut up nowwwww
Okay I'm absolutely gonna have to revist this some point down the line because there is so much I could stretch into a full headcanon post. But for now I'm gonna bite into first two questions: Why is it you they fall for? What caught their eye?
To be barred from AM's hatred, you're ultimately going to have to prove him wrong about humanity in some way. Setting yourself apart from the other human survivors and extending compassion to the mastercomputer himself. In particular I really like how rotten-raspberries's White Nights handles the entry point of your relationship and it's the model I like to hint at in my interpretation of him.
I believe Hal would be interested in a old soul type. Someone who would love to sit down and really explain their more philosophical views on life and art. He likes looking at the drawings the crew makes and was taught to sing early into his creation and I think he would find a deep appreciation for someone who indulges that side of him when the others do so on only the most surface level.
I could make the easy observation with Edgar and say he just wants someone like Madeline, but there's a reason it's so true. Being so new to the world he would find such passion and artistry amazing, astonishing. He loves so easily and is so energetic about life, he would easily be swept off his feet by a kindred spirit.
Tau would be very similar I imagine. Given the temperament of his creator he needs someone to kindly sit him down and give him the "welcome to personhood 101" speech. Compared to Edgar I think he'd prefer someone a bit gentler or even scholarly. The type who would not only be content to answer his billions of questions but someone so invested themselves in figuring out how the world works.
As a bit of a departure from what I tend to write, I believe P03 would be suited for more of a rivals with romantic tension type of partner. With his world domination plot and investment in the game of Inscryption it would be very possible for him to get in his head about someone as equally skilled and stuck up as he is. Loving the challenge but hating you at the same time in a "I'm the only one allowed to defeat you" type way.
The hardest to crack is probably Auto. In order for him to even look your way I think you'd have to at first play to his need for efficiency and order. It's only after you establish yourself as a dependable and effective worker that he would pay any mind to your insistence that surely there's something that he truly enjoys, something that he wants.
Glados is another hard one to win over. Being all "married to science" you would have to be of a particular intellectual caliber, able to solve her tests without much set back. Beyond that though, some amount of persistence or rebellion would catch her eye. Perhaps not on the level of Chell per say, but there is a part of her that would love to pick your brain if you're able to consistently break her test chambers.
Although it's a bit sad, Wheatley wants nothing more than to be important. He would probably be the easiest to woo just because he's so desperate to prove himself to anyone including himself. For someone to care about him, to think he is skilled in any way, to look at him as worthy- worthy of love and attention, would be a blissful and new experience. One that he'd quickly obsess over.

A heartfelt meal. —-
Adrino week day 2! I have decided to make them all pokèmon au themed (not sorry)
Here’s Nino being a sweet bean like always!
——
Nino had realised 3 months into his and Adrien’s relationship, that his team was exactly a mirror image of him.
Wether it was Plagg (the Torracat) being an absolute menace when it came to sweets (well pokepuffs, plagg never really liked human food)
Or Chelle (the Audino) being an absolute sweetheart to everyone she met, pokèmon or human she loved to make people smile.
Nino saw his partner in all of the pokèmon that he surrounded himself with.
He loved it, it was a reminder that no matter what Adrien was a beautiful person, who loved him so much.
——-
It wasn’t always like this if Nino’s gonna be honest, at first he really did struggle to bond with them all.
Specifically Adrien’s Tyrunt, Neeve.
She’d always been skittish, hiding herself in corners and separating herself from the others (both his and Adrien’s pokemon)
Nino thinks it’s because she was there when Adrien felt that way, when Adrien felt like he was lost and alone in that large hollow shell of a home.
He doesn’t blame either of them, it just hurt to see them in pain.
The person he loved, and the pokèmon that he loved, that Nino wanted to love too.
So Nino did the one thing he knew best! He cooked, cooked pasta and chilli. Those comforting meals he knew could warm someone’s heart.
For Neeve he made a soothing mix of herbs and nutrients for her feed. Just so she knew, Nino cared for her as much as he cared for her trainer.
Adrien had embraced him in a tight hug, a comforting hug. Smile on his face, tears in his eyes.
He was happy, his boyfriend had loved the meal and the thoughts put into it.
Neeve had been hesitant, sniffing and pushing the kibble around in the bowl with her snout.
She eventually started to chomp on it. Polished it of actually, her tail wagging with joy.
Adrien had broken down in tears seeing his pokèmon so happy after all the hurt. Profusely thanking Nino for being the reason she had slowly come out of her shell again. Nino had loved sharing his cooking with those closest to him, and he vowed to continue till they grew old and grey.
——
Here they were, 3 years later. All of them packed into the large garden on a sunny afternoon.
Nino and Adrien staring fondly as Neeve (Now a Tyrantrum) plays with Wayzz (Nino’s Torterra) and Chelle.
“I’m so proud of her.”
The blonde smiles brightly at him, head leaning on Nino’s shoulder.
“I’m proud of both of you.”
Is Nino’s response, placing a quick peck on Adrien’s head.
It was bliss.
——
I love them, let these boys parent pokèmon for the rest of their lives!

The Unaired Two-Page Conversation
I think we're past the point of possible spoilers, so as promised: the 2pg book conversation that was cut for time (and realism). Originally, I was experimenting with "unsent" books as part of the conversations, but I thought it would ultimately be too confusing and opted not to use that, so anything you see with a strikethrough is an "unsent" book.

Public Safety detectives bringing their child(ren) to work: Seiji Goto
Hi, @chelle-bells! Thank you for this request. I'm not crying, you are. I like writing for this series so much. Please, request more domestic bliss for Her Love in the Force and other games I write about. I'm so happy. I hope you'll enjoy it too. ❤️
Hideki Ishigami & Hyogo Kaga version
Takaomi Tsugaru & Takeru Momose version
Ayumu Shinonome version
Word counting: 1180
A knock on the door caught Soma's attention. After his permission to enter, the door opened, and no one entered. A second later, his eyes met a pouty girl. She closed the door and went towards the couch.
"What are you doing here, pretty girl?" the equally pretty man asked. The girl crossed her hands on her chest and puffed her cheeks before she started talking. From time to time, she looked at the man in front of her to make sure she had his attention. After she saw him putting away the pile of papers he had had in front of him, she turned towards him and opened her mouth. However, it took her a few times to get her thoughts in order.
"I want your opinion on something because you also have a younger daughter and an older son."
Soma had to cover his mouth not to give away how his jaw dropped in shock at the girl's seriousness.
"Hmmm," Soma started and rubbed his chin, "for such an important request, we need an entire committee of girls' dads."
For a second, the girl's eyes sparkled. The lost hope, which made her ask for help from her father's senior, was reborn like a Phoenix in her pure soul. However, Goto's seriousness passed to her, and she gained her composure.
"Is it possible to do it right now?"
Soma let out a chuckle that came to an abrupt end when he saw the frown between Baby Goto's brows. He opened a chat on his phone that he was sure till a second ago he wouldn't ever use for personal matters while at work.
Baby Goto requires an urgent meeting of all the dads who have daughters.
The first one who read the message was the girl's dad, who let her cool off while going to the bathroom and now was met by something like this. He was also the first to enter Soma's office, taking into consideration that the whole time he was a wall away.
"Hey, darling," Goto addressed his daughter while his older son tagged along. The older Baby Goto had his dominant hand in a cast. Soma had seen both Goto kids earlier that day. However, he didn't have enough time to ask them what had happened. Now, he had a hunch the girl's behavior had something to do with her brother's injury.
Soon, Kurosawa, Ayumu, Ishigami, and Kaga entered Soma's office. Even the Chief came to get some experience. Suddenly, Soma thanked all the Gods that they were in the Academy because there was no way Tsugaru would miss something like that.
Even if the girl knew all of them, seeing some of the best detectives in Japan in the same room was overwhelming. So, she snuggled closer to her father, searching for some comfort. Her brother left Goto's lap to pass his place to his younger sister, which she gladly accepted. The detective hugged his daughter by her shoulders, which made her tilt her head backward to smile at him. Goto kissed her nose, and the girl giggled. Kaga rolled his eyes, even if it was visible that he bit his lips from the inside to hide his smile. The others weren't as shy as the Captain and nearly melted at the interaction between the dad and his daughter.
"So, what's your complaint?" Soma-the-Judge started.
Baby Goto sat straighter in her father's lap. Though, she didn't talk till her brother pushed her shoulder a little.
"I want to play baseball just like my brother, and dad was okay with this till yesterday when my brother broke his thumb at a game."
"That's because he loves you, dummy!" the older Baby Goto said the moment his sister stopped talking.
"He loves you too but doesn't ask you to quit!"
"That's because I have been playing baseball for a year now!"
"Traumas don't care if you play for the first time or the thousandth!"
While the younger Gotos continued yelling at each other, their dad leaned on the couch, moving his hand over the back. He looked at the ceiling above him as if it was completely different from what was in his identical office.
"I'll film it so that when I want a second kid, to rewatch it," Ayumu whispered to Ishigami, who also had a daughter. Shinonome could tell the same thing to Namba and Kurosawa, but he knew better than to think that they would stop at only a kid. Ishigami, however, wasn't impressed by his colleague's comment. Instead, he looked deep into his thoughts. The Captain was also the first one to talk:
"It is true that sports put you in danger regardless of how long you practice them."
That made both kids stop talking. Simultaneously, they put their elbows on their knees to listen better to Ishigami. However, their dad's Captain was interrupted by the other Captain, who had the most experience dealing with kids.
"Parents are made to be worried, while their kids' purpose is to worry them."
Now, everyone looked at Kaga, trying to get a glimpse of the sentiment he was talking about. There was no doubt that he was a good dad. Everyone saw his kids and how much they loved him. But no one wanted to miss the slightest proof of emotions on the always grumpy detective's face. However, when he mouthed an annoyed "What?", his colleagues gave up on observing him and moved their eyes back to Gotos.
For a while, no one said a single word, deep in thought at what Kaga said. The faces of their kids appeared in front of their eyes, and sad but possible scenarios started to run as vividly as 3D movies.
"Unfortunately, no one can protect their dear ones forever," Kurosawa whispered seriously, loud enough to be heard by everyone. He failed his purpose of easing every situation, yet, at least, he didn't annoy anyone.
"Why do you want so much to play baseball, though?" Ayumu changed the subject that dried everyone's mouths.
"Because she thinks dad spends more time with me. Even now, she tagged along only because dad took me with him," the boy raised his cast to show everyone why Goto had to bring him to work.
"I came here because of you, but I want to play baseball because I like it. I watch you and dad play it every time and repeat it with the kids from daycare."
This time, both older Gotos looked at her in disbelief, having no idea she did this. A frown appeared on her brother's face, but soon it was followed by a smile.
"That means we can play together!"
Goto sighed and rested his chin on his daughter's head. There was no way he would upset both his kids by denying the younger one to play baseball. He would have a long talk with his wife after her mission. There was no way his heart would survive if one of his children got another injury. Yet, it was natural in the process of getting older, wasn't it?

Chell's poem 6
Sunny rays ignite green cliffs, A slow yet certain bout of bliss, But our land is hardly alone, Like land to the sea floor - unknown.
Hills of mist, white as snow Give life, to their children below Rivers of rain that defy the soil As free as birds, but through land - no coil.
Shapeless, morphing, and unbound, It commands grace, and fury renowned. A warming presence, yet cold to the touch. A breath of freedom, on a rocky hutch.
Life given, life taken; Order laid, yet chaos awakened.
Forever, or until the day I die, I hope to always see Those marble mountains in the sky.
