Summary: There is a place in L.A. where the richest of the rich can make their dreams come true. For an outrageous sum, they can hire an “angel” who is programmed to be exactly what they need: a stripper, a scientist, a temporary boyfriend. Most people don’t choose to question who the angels are, or where they came from. Sam Winchester is not most people. His brother Dean went missing in L.A. two years ago, and Sam has spent all that time trying to track him down. The trail leads him to a shadowy organization known as “Heaven” that coerces people into giving up their identities and personalities so they can be reprogrammed for Heaven’s purposes. Inside Heaven, trouble is brewing: two of the angels, Whiskey and November, are beginning to break through their programming. As they fall for each other and fight to remember who they are, they discover that they have an ally already working to bring down Heaven from within.

Fic: “Where Secrets Lie”
Tumblr media
read on AO3
Fandom: Supernatural (TV)
Rating: T
Summary: Charlie abandons what remains of a normal life in search of the one she loves—a good fairy.
for @flashfictionfridayofficial
for @femslashfeb’s Day 3 prompt “Storm”
for @febuwhump’s Day 3 prompt “Inferno”
This definitely isn't Moondoor… or the Shire.
Charlie yells, swatting away the pesky bugs in her face.
She crankily trudges into mud.
According to her research, this is where Allison Peirson, burned as a witch in 1588, claimed to have spoken with the Queen of Elfhame. Basically, Fairyland.
A cave system within a deep lonely forest in the borders of North Ayrshire, Scotland—ah, lots of green hills here.
Charlie wanders into flowerbeds, on a still, windless day, listening for a tinkling of bells or softened laughter between nervously humming the Star Wars theme.
Apparently fairies like when someone's singing within the boundaries of their realm. It'll summon them. And she hopes that Gilda recognizes her voice…
"Damn it… nope, nope, I'm not an outdoorsy person," Charlie complains, looking down at her ruined boots.
The stillness breaks apart with the wind whipping around Charlie.
For a moment, Charlie wonders if it's Queen Titania, or King Oberon, or whoever the hell rules 'the Fairy Tribunal' connected to Gilda… did they hear Charlie?
Wind becomes a shadowy storm, clouding her vision.
"What the frack…"
She screams, alarmed by the burning sensation around Charlie's neck when it claims her. Charlie knows she's been trapped and pulled into a hellish, suffocating darkness. The painful burning magnifies on Charlie's skin.
"Unhand her."
In a burst of glimmer, the shadows flee.
Charlie gasps, falling to her trembling knees.
Gilda leads Charlie on her feet and to where sunlight cascades in pollen-bright beams. Charlie sees the flowerbeds again, but they're different. Much more colorful. Everything's ethereal.
"Is this…?"
"Yes, we are in the Hollow Forest of Arkhmoor." Gilda fusses, unhappily touching Charlie's neck-burn. "You were nearly taken."
Charlie blinks.
"Who… who tried to take me?"
"One of the Shadow Court," Gilda whispers, sternly meeting Charlie's eyes. "Both dreams and nightmares live here. We reign together."
"That kinda sucks…"
Gilda finally smiles, touching Charlie's chin with obvious affection, and Charlie sees a mirroring relief on her.
"You are not marked. Therefore, you must leave."
Charlie shakes her head insistently, raising her eyebrows.
"After I illegally flew all the way out into a different country? Sitting next to a guy farting for eight hours?" she laughs, and Gilda's kind smile widens. "You know, I've missed you."
"Yes, you were always in my thoughts," Gilda agrees, and Charlie hugs her and presses their cheeks together, basking.
"What do I gotta do, huh?" she says, leaning out, grinning. "Bow to your queen? Eat an orange? Sing a ballad about my victories?"
Gilda's palms, brown and warm as a woman, cups Charlie's face.
"Be yourself," Gilda assures her, and Charlie flushes, embarrassed…
Well, it's gonna be tough…
"You got it, babe."

spn might have quite a few queer characters here and there, but to my recollection (so far at the point I’m at, thought I doubt it’ll change) the actual queer kisses we see on screen are:
Crowley and that one dude he does a demon deal with.
that picture of Bobby and Crowley kissing to seal another deal.
Charlie and Gilda make out scene.
aaaand I think that’s it? the first two aren’t even really into it. tell me if I’m wrong and there’s more or I forgot something (pls do, I want to be wrong lol).

For @spnprideweek 💖🏳️‍🌈💖 Today's theme is "wlw/supporting characters," so I had to throw down the gauntlet for Fairy Hunter (Charlie/Gilda. So underrated!! Especially since, as far as I remember, they were the first consensual, romantic LGBTQ kiss on the whole frakking show).
It's another busy week, so I can't contribute every day, but so grateful this event is happening and looking forward to posting for day 7, too 💗

Femslash February: A month of femslash drabbles
Day 2: Sunset | Charlie Bradbury x Gilda the Fairy
Tumblr media
Gilda waits at the tree.
Since Charlie destroyed the spellbook holding her captive, Gilda couldn’t keep her thoughts from drifting to her. Something about her was so unlike anything she’s experienced in the human world before, or in any world, really. She was kind and understanding, yet brave and strong.
So, Gilda returned.
Charlie embraced her and kissed her.
And more. In her tent. All night.
The next day, at sunset, Gilda returned to her world.
“Sunset is the only time of day we can cross over between the worlds,” she explained to Charlie.
She visited Charlie whenever she could get away, learning more about the human world and more about Charlie.
Last night, as they lied in bed, she could feel Charlie playing with her hair, and she liked the feeling. She loved all of this—their legs entangled with each other’s, Charlie’s arms wrapped around her body, the warmth, the feeling that she could stay this way forever.
Suddenly, Charlie voiced the words on Gilda’s mind.
“I wish we could do this every night.”
Gilda broke away slightly to look at her.
“Believe me, I love… uh, what we’re doing,” Charlie said. “But I want more of this, more of you.”
Gilda stroked Charlie’s cheek, taking in the way her fair skin glowed in the moonlight that seeped through the tent, the translucence of her wide, green-grey eyes.
“Well, there is another way,” Gilda said.
Charlie’s eyes went wide. “What? What is it?”
“You could come to my world.”
“Sure,” Charlie nodded. “Fairy world sounds like fun. Day trip to Narnia, anyone?”
“Charlie, you don’t understand,” Gilda frowned. “Fairykind can cross over freely, but, in my world at least, humans are only allowed to cross the barrier once.”
Charlie tilted her head. “So, you’re saying, once I go with you, that’s it? No coming back?”
“Yes,” Gilda nodded.
“Okay,” Charlie said. “Let’s go.”
“Are you certain this is what you want?”
“Like I said, this world—not so much with awesome,” Charlie said. “I want to do this.”
Gilda smiled at her. “Tomorrow, at sunset, meet me at the tree.”
Charlie placed a kiss to Gilda’s lips and wrapped her in her arms again.
Gilda waits at the tree.
Charlie has walked her here several times before, out to the middle of the forest, where Gilda crosses between worlds. All she has to do is touch the tree as the sun disappears behind the horizon, and it takes her home.
The sunset stains the air orange. A lull falls over the forest as its inhabitants begin to rest for the night. Gilda cranes her neck, but still no sign of Charlie walking out from the darkening forest.
The sun is only a speck of light now. Gilda can’t wait any longer.
She touches the tree and, as the horizon extinguishes the sun, fades into the night alone.
Maybe this world is more awesome than Charlie thought.
