@characterdesignreferences had Mad Scientists as their prompt last month, so I wanted to try it too.

Artemis has been kidnapping the homeless in Seattle, implanting them with BTL chips of combat, and training making combat drugs from the brain chemicals she drained.

This is Ivy, a warlock satyr 🤗💞 she was very fun to design! I've had so much fun with the Dnd group ����💖

The Letter Dragon, he writes and delivers your letters for you!

Unlike most Dragons, he doesn't breathe fire (it would actually burn him, since he is made out of paper), he spits ink!

His scales are little envelopes and he is able to write thanks to his feet made of metal nibs.

He will transport your letter safely in his chest envelope right next to his heart!

And most importantly, I garantee you that his writing is very elegant, don't hesitate to hire him!

More gesture studies today, along with a revisit of my little mousy mad scientist character. I think I like this composition the best, and even though the deadline for @characterdesignreferences monthly theme has passed, I'd like to finish this concept -- I have an idea for a different style than I typically do, and look forward to seeing how it turns out.

you ever think about how the sons of feanor were never alone

how they came in sets: maedhros and maglor, celegorm and curufin (and caranthir), amrod and amras. yes, caranthir’s the loner, but he’s also the middlest middle child, he always had someone around

how they lived in groups: maedhros and maglor in the north, caranthir and the ambarussa in the south and east, curufin and celegorm in himlad

how they died together: celegorm and curufin and caranthir in doriath, amrod and amras at sirion (and even if you go with amrod dying at losgar, amras is finally returning to him, finally not alone) --

except for maedhros

he went to his death alone

there was a time when maedhros was an only child. the only time he had no brothers with him. until the very end, when he had no one left but maglor, and chose to leave maglor on his own

and maglor lived the rest of eternity alone

maglor, who had never known a life without any brothers

maglor, who watched all his baby brothers die

maglor, who was abandoned by his big brother

how quiet the crashing of the waves must be, to someone used to a life full of laughter and arguing and crafting and song

how lonely he must be, when all the rest are gone

how angry he must be, that he alone must carry on

'Dog Adventurer'

Every month, a website called 'Character Design References' organises 'Character Design Challenge' competition. Last month - November, their theme was 'Dog Adventurer'. The entries were fascinating and teases audiences' imagination. Here are the winners' artworks.

And this artwork done by Artist Gabriele Pennacchiol catches my interest.

I was interested in this artwork because it took me awhile to realise that the world map was being painted on the dog. It didn't caught my eyes at first, as it doesn't have splashes of vibrant colours or something contrast enough to stand out from the others.

I like how the artist managed to subtly bring out the essence of 'travel' and 'dog'.

Character Design References is well known in the circle of digital artists and I recently just realised it was also founded by a Dubin based community. I never noticed that before coming to Ireland.
