NGA LU FRA’U You are Everything - Prologue
WC: 552 Omatikaya!FemReader Pairings for story: {Neteyam x Reader - Strangers to Friends to Lovers}, {Lo’ak x Reader, Kiri x Reader, Tuk x Reader, Jake x Reader, Neytiri x Reader – Platonic} {An’oung x Reader, Tsireya x Reader, Ronal x Reader, Tonowari x Reader – Family}
This version is in Third Person.
Tumblr media
War lived in Pandora.
Once peaceful and untouched, now the lands reeked of humans and war lived and breathed inside of them. Families were torn apart, loved ones killed right before their eyes, fear instilled in their hearts.
A pair of Na’vi in the Omatikaya clan agreed to wait until the war ended to pursue their dreams of starting a family. They had mated right before the war, their love blossoming right before disaster struck. When the young woman fell pregnant during the heat of the war, her mate forced her to stop fighting and stay to prepare for a safe birth. He took her to a safe ground away from their clan to meet up with his brother and their family. He left them in the safety of their family to return to the fight. He lost his life to an ambush led by Quaritch not long after.
Their daughter was born right before the end of the war; she lived in hiding with her mother, aunt, uncle and younger cousin for only around a month before her mother decided to pass her greatest gift along to her uncle and aunt wanting a safer life for her daughter. They did not know how long this war would last, but she knew it wasn’t safe here as long as she was there too. Her Mother fled that morning, saying her final goodbyes.
The young girls aunt and uncle took her away and made camp deep in the woods. They were found by a group of soldiers scanning the area for resources. The soldiers made a call to their commander. Before the family could beg for their lives, they were shot and struck down. Killed as the baby in their tent laid sleeping. A cry outroared at the sound of gunshots. Soldiers approached the tent, opening it to find a large blue baby screaming and crying on a mat. As she was only a  baby, she had faced more darkness than light. The soldiers called in to Quaritch about killing her or taking her with them.
Na’vi babies were the recent victims of a new operation that he had been keeping in his back pocket for later. Steal the babies, raise them to hate, fight, murder, and be submissive. The perfect plan of attack with the ultimate weapons. The young girl was taken prisoner on a boat overseas as they headed back to their home base. In the middle of the sea, something went wrong.
The boat suddenly stopped and a group of Metkayina warriors attacked, taking the ship down. Upon defeating the humans remaining on the ship, they searched it. One warrior found a room with a crib, the door locked. He stopped, wondering why on earth they would need to lock a baby in a room alone. He rattled at the door, eventually kicking it down. He stopped, hearing the sounds of a crying baby made his fatherly instincts kick in, knowing his own would be on the way shortly. He stopped to take a look at the small child, picking her up into his arms and inspecting her. A forest Na’vi.  He thought momentarily, thinking of all the ways he could explain this to his mate. He sighed, wrapping the girl against his chest and taking her back to the Awa’atlu.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
Authors Note: sigh I know the prologue is short but It just helps to have this here so that there wouldn't be any confusion for the rest of the story and to give you had kind of a backstory on the main character. Sometime tonight I will be posting the first official chapter of this series and this version will be in Third Person and will also have a name for the character. I will be posting the chapter using (y/n) and also gender neutral pronouns later in the week! Gender neutral prologue will also come out later in the week :) Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy !

Hey Quin whats your opinion on people saying that Ace has Stocholm syndrome? Can’t for the life of me remeber if it was here that it was brought up or somewhere else.
But they said that Ace Had Stockholm syndrome after being brought to the Moby Dick and at first I was like wait hold up they onto something but then I remembered
Although Ace’s first introduction in the Moby Dick was involuntary if I remember correctly he was brought for medical attention no?
Regardless if he was brought aboard to be recruited or not he was never chained down, something that we see teasing him for. He wasen’t coerced at any point nor blackmailed to stay, in fact Marco told him to his face that he could either leave or stay. So I ‘m not sure I am leaning towards no because of that fact but I wanted to hear your two cents on this.
I haven't heard anyone bringing it up, but re-reading chapter 552 (the first time we get a decent flashback of how it went) I don't think Ace had stockholm's at all.
And Stockholm syndrome is a weird thing in and of itself. The point in time when the phrase was coined wasn't even for a real instance of what the phrase has become known for. It was used to gaslight a woman's very real experience during a bank robbery - because the police had screwed the whole thing up so bad. Instead of admit they had handled things poorly they said the robbers had effectively brain washed the hostages.
Which isn't to say that the phenomenon it describes isn't a possibility.
This is one of "Sometimes the fandom is weird" kind of moments. I don't know why anyone would start thinking that was part of the narrative for Ace and the WBP. It's kind of cruel, honestly, to diminish what he was to them, and what they were to him, by basically saying he was brainwashed into believing they cared about him.
Now, I could see it being used as a premise for a Fan Fic, sure, and that could be something interesting to dive into, especially if you take into consideration that Stockholm's itself isn't even 100% believed to be a thing.
But to say it as far as canon goes? Utter hogwash. Someone's either trying to stir the pot, or their reading comprehension is poor.

Aaaand we're done! \o/
Well... "done" in one sense of the word since I just did a very quick search and apparently there's like another 140 chapters of side stories and counting. Possibly post-epilogue stuff??? Didn't look too closely since I don't want too many spoilers if I can avoid it. I already saw one vague spoiler relating to 49% Dokja's side story. 😢😢😢
Though at least now with the main novel+epilogues finished all of the mysteries have been wrapped up (as far as I can remember).
I guess I'm still curious about the Library, but even if that's never touched upon in any side story chapters, I think I kinda get it with my theories and how he broke up into many, many different Dokjas and/or was two different Oldest Dreams?
Oh, and the stuff with Dokja & 1863's Sooyoung's blurry faces, I would have liked to have seen that resolved. There were mentions of Dokja slowly getting less blurry that were kinda glossed over but nothing concrete ever popped up for why his face was blurry or if/when it fully stopped being blurry? Unless I just missed some subtle thing?? Like I guess the epilogue did mention that Sooyoung had fun writing in stuff about him being the Ugly King but I don't think she made him ugly, that was just her memories of him?? Either way, poor Dokja. 😭
idk maybe I'm the only one obsessed with things like that. (I literally eventually started a separate section in my ORV Scrivener notes just for all the times Dokja's looks are mentioned in any way.) So maybe it just wasn't deemed important to "resolve"? Or, again, it was but I totally missed it.
Or maybe there's still something about the Library and his looks (and other mysteries I may not be currently remembering) in the additional 140+ chapters out there?
Unfortunately, English translations of Chapters 552+ don't all seem to be in one place, or at least I wasn't able to quickly find them in my first search. I'll keep looking, though. Might just have to cobble together the chapters one by one from various sources. If anyone happens to know where I could possibly find them...
Though I'm honestly not certain if I want to immediately jump into them or if I want to give it a moment to breathe. I actually am a little bit disappointed that I jumped right into the 40+ chapter epilogues right after finishing the main story since I feel like it stole some of the impact from him finding his two separate ■■.
Even if I was really happy to see how they continued living on in the system-less world and how Dokja felt after losing all of his companions to be Oldest Dream. Seriously you never get to see those sort of things after the "happy" ending.
And I did love seeing how it all tied back together with Sooyoung being the author and ORV itself being Dokja's story (which Sooyoung also wrote!) which in turn is our story and getting to see Secretive Plotter and the 999ths again and poor Joonghyuk just not knowing what to do with himself after losing his purpose as a protagonist and him and Sooyoung wanting to save their precious Dokja more than anything and both of them coming to understand Dokja better and so on and so forth.
But if nothing else, I do really want to finally read some fanfiction and otherwise engage with fandom now that the big mysteries are solved. And if I can make one final prediction it's going to be that the top fanfic is some kind of modern, no powers gamer AU or something. Because that's just how these fandoms seem to go. 😂
Anyway, I think it should be obvious from my many, many ORV posts but I really enjoyed the novel! I am very happy that so many things were so well foreshadowed, so much was so carefully planned, so many loose ends were tied up in a very satisfying manner, etc. It's very impressive for such a long, looooong story. I mean, just the fact that you could get inklings that something was up with Secretive Plotter before we even hit Chapter 100 yet not have the reveal come until much later is impressive just on its own.
I guess if I had one complaint it'd be that I didn't quite vibe with the whole "multiple walls to open the Final Wall" thing. Like, I totally was into the idea of Dokja's Fourth Wall being the largest fragment, and I actually thought that Jang Hayoung's wall was pretty clever since it's all about commenting/texting others when Jan Hayoung was created due to Dokja's comments.
But I'm not quite so into the Wall of Samsara and Wall That Divides Good and Evil. Like, I do get how they relate to the story, what with Dokja literally reincarnating into multiple worlds himself and the fact that a lot of Dokja's main theme was that he didn't nicely fit into a box of good or evil. I mean, his literal Modifiers are Demon King of Salvation and Watcher of Light and Darkness. Not to mention, Dokja went through a ton of the novel saying that just because they were evil in one turn doesn't mean they're evil in the next and vice versa, as well as the fact that the had companions on both sides of the spectrum.
So I'm not saying that they just came out of nowhere, but personally I find something to be a little off with them when compared to the other two walls? idk these are just my initial thoughts and I might feel completely different once I re-read the novel and can better appreciate things.
Which, speaking of, I'm debating with myself if I want to do the truly ridiculous thing and start this entire novel over right from the beginning in true Dokja fashion or if I want to be good and maybe give some other universe some love. I was looking at The World After The Fall but...uh...
Tumblr media
Not to say that things with tiny fandoms aren't also good!!!
But it does make me kinda side-eye it a little and wonder if I shouldn't just read Solo Leveling...
...or read whatever side stories I can find, aaaaaalllllll the fanfic, and then read ORV all over again. 😂
We'll see.
FYI when I do start reacting to the side stories I think I'll use the tag "orv side story" if anyone wants to block it preemptively to avoid spoilers.

No Country for Young Humans - Chapter 8.5
I am officially back at school, attending my final year of high school! I will be busy, chapters will come out very infrequently!
To tide you over, since I am exhausted, have this short little bit of actual PLOT!!! (IK not just North Star fluff, dw, that will come soon).
Also, I'm drifting a little from the UTY fandom (yeah, uh oh) but I definitely DON'T wanna abandon this fic!
Worse comes to worse, I'll finish it swiftly, and do my best to still make that entertaining. This is the longest fic I think I've ever wrote, most of my other stuff is oneshots!
Sorry about all that, hopefully you can enjoy this very short snippet of what's to come (maybe heh).
Missed the previous chapters? Check out the Masterlist!

Summary: We shift to a new perspective as things unfold behind the scene.
Chapter 8.5 - A New Perspective:
There was a piercing sound in the air. It was faint, but persistent. Her ears, sharp as a dagger, picked up its sound all too well. As she fumbled with the equipment splayed out on the desk beneath her, she found her patience waning thin, the sound piercing into her skull, stabbing like the thick spears of the Royal Guard.
How could she let it get this far? How could she have been so stupid? She should have killed them right then and there when they walked into the Wild East, yet the look on his face; it healed all of her wounds, though only for a moment. She entertained this idea only to keep him happy, but it had been too long now to turn back.
Ceroba walked over to the vials of serum, each a pungent blue in colour, painfully standing out amongst the backdrop of muted greys. She had to do this. For Kanako. It was the only way to keep her alive.
Going through with this though, she thought, would ruin everything for him.
She had never felt so happy for him, the moment they admitted their feelings for him. That flustered look on their face, all bashful yet trusting in her company. They *trusted* her. Star trusted her. And she was going to throw that all away.
Finally, Starlo was going to feel the love she had always wanted him to experience, taken away from the years of torment she knew she put him through. She was happy then, and he was miserable. Now it was like night and day as she wallowed in a sea of misery. But he would be happy. He would finally be happy.
Ceroba clenched her fists tightly, walking over to the large, old TV. No- She can’t let this sway her. Surely Star would be happier knowing her child was safe and out of harm's way. Surely Star would be happier knowing she was happy? Surely she meant more to him? She pressed the small round button on the TV, knowing the tape was already loaded in the slot when she had last watched it. A sobering reminder of why she had to do this.
It wasn’t just for Kanako. It wasn’t just for Chujin. But for the fate of the world.
Well, that is what she told herself as she waited for the video to play, though she was only met with static. Ceroba smacked a pawed hand on the TV, growing impatient and frustrated as she sobbed out. This was too much! Too hard of a choice! Why was this her choice to make? Why couldn’t she have both? Why did they have to be human?
She ceased her abuse of the TV, instead pressing the eject button, waiting for the tape to shift out of the slot. She waited, the still ringing sound of the machines around her whirring in an annoying fashion. She heard the mechanics in the TV shift, the slot opening and pushing out the thick, heavy air. There was no tape, nothing at all.
She felt the hair on the back of her neck stand on end, reaching panicked hands into the slot, trying to slip down into the small slit. Empty.
Someone had taken Chujins tape which could only mean-
Someone knew.

Next to Me - Ch. 4

5th of January, 2023
~~~
Niragi barely even hits the ground before you are on him.
Nearly ripping his shirt, you shake him, "What the fuck?! What the fuck, Niragi?!"
"I don't se-"
You raise your arm in time to block the kick to your head, but are launched off Niragi. Landing, you continue protecting your head as the blows rain down.
Catching a glimpse of your attacker, you see it's Aguni.
'Not again!' You think.
Going for a grab, Aguni pulls back fast enough to dodge, before stomping on your ribs. Your breath leaves you. He stomps on you once more and when you go to protect yourself, he aims for your head.
You catch his foot.
His eyes widen a bit and you grin. Aguni's eyes flick to the side before focusing back on you. He pulls out a gun and points it at you.
"Fu-"
"Bos-"
"What's going on?"
A familiar voice stops him from pulling the trigger.
Parting a sea of people, Hatter arrives.
"Back off, Hatter. This doesn't concern you," Aguni says, still pointing the gun at you.
"I can’t do that. As the Number One, I'm obliged to maintain order at the Beach."
Hatter walks up to him.
"Could you let them off on my account, Aguni?"
A tense silence fills the party. Getting nothing from the Militia Leader, Hatter looks at Niragi. Your old friend nonchalantly tries to pick up his forgotten gun. But only succeeds in looking awkward.
“I only take orders from the boss,” He says, keeping up his ruse.
“Then let me ask your boss.” Hatter gets right in Aguni’s face. “Who is your boss, Aguni?”
Aguni takes it. He takes his foot from your hand and he holsters his gun.
Facing his boss, “It’s you, right?”
They stare for a moment before Hatter speaks.
“Go take a shower.”
And he dismisses him.
Aguni walks off as he continues, speaking to everyone now.
“All executive members are t-”
You block out whatever he’s saying, focusing on Niragi. He glances your way, once. He then leaves and so do you, missing the rest of the event.
~~~~~
You find yourself on the roof, wondering if your night can get any worse. It can.
Chishiya waves as he comes to stand next to you.
“What do you want?" You ask.
“Just want to talk,” He says, looking out over the Beach.
You say nothing, not giving in.
"I heard what happened today."
Remembering tonight's events, you take a deep breath to calm yourself. You say nothing.
“You punched one of the executives, you know?”
Your head whips to him, “That… Fucker! Is an exec of this place?!”
Chishiya turns his gaze onto you. In your anger, you miss the smug look he has for a moment.
"He is." He returns to looking over the Beach. "Did you know him?"
"We were… friends."
If he notices your hesitation, he doesn’t say so. You know you're wound up and tense. You try to shake it off, but the anger remains.
"Did you come here just to bother me, Chishiya?" You ask with more attitude than intended.
"No. Hatter and Aguni made a decision about your punishment."
And you tense up even more.
"And?"
"You are to join Aguni's Militia, working under him and beside Niragi."
Fortunately, you are no longer tense.
"...What?"
