The creative team is constantly subjected to bullying by trolls online. Please do them a good turn and leave them a positive review on IMDB or on their social media pages.
This show means a LOT to a ton of people. Please practice kindness wherever you can.
If it helps, Adam Lambert sang the theme song and he also plays a MAJOR character! If you can't do it for us, do it for him??? (does he use he/him pronouns? internet search wasn't clear.)

EXCLUSIVE: In the world of Highlander reboots, there can still only be one…and it’s a good one at that.
For the first time, Lionsgate will be launching sales at the AFM on their long-gestating fantasy reboot which has Henry Cavill aboard to star as the eponymous Scottish swordsman and John Wick filmmaker Chad Stahelski set to direct.
We hear this will be a big-budget proposition, north of $100M. Stahelski himself has previously talked about it as akin to John Wick with swords. The team is eyeing a 2024 start.
This will be welcome news for AFM buyers whose pool of pre-sale projects has been diminished by the ongoing strike.
The new movie will be based on the 1986 original, which starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown as immortal beings, hunting down one another and collecting more power. The time-jumping film — with its “There can be only one” tagline — spawned four sequels and three TV series including the popular USA series starring Adrian Paul. Queen memorably provided the soundtrack for the original movie.

Lionsgate Moving Forward With Henry Cavill & Chad Stahelski ‘Highlander’ Reboot As Action-Fantasy Pic Heads To AFM To Enliven A Strike-Hit Market
By Andreas Wiseman
October 27, 2023 8:17am
Producing the reboot are Joshua Davis, Fast And The Furious producer Neal H. Moritz, Stahelski (thru his 87Eleven Entertainment production company) and Louise Rosner.
The current draft of the screenplay is by Mike Finch. The late Peter S. Davis, the producer of the original Highlander, initiated the development of the new film. Summit first acquired remake rights to the original in 2008.
Former Superman and The Witcher actor Cavill remains in high demand. Among movies in post are Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle and two Guy Ritchie projects, including WWII pic The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Stahelski has directed all four John Wick films, which have been a goldmine for Lionsgate, taking more than $1BN. He previously talked about the new Highlander as the first in a trilogy but we’ve not had word whether that’s still the case.
Cavill and Stahelski were attached and reported before the strike.
The arrival of the Highlander reboot is a shot in the arm for the AFM, whose business has been hampered by the SAG-AFTRA strike. This and Kevin Costner’s Horizon movies, which we told you this week would also be on sale, are the two biggest-budget prospects revealed for the market so far. A number of packages haven’t come together or aren’t being officially announced due to strike restrictions or anxiety over optics. Frankly, given the limitations posed by the strike, I’ve been surprised at the number of new or reworked projects that are on sale (many are shooting in Europe). There are still a handful of pre-sales packages for buyers to get their teeth into, even if more action may be done this market on completed and near-completed movies.
I'm all for Henry in a kilt! 😊

Wow B you have all the dirt. You’ve been holding out on us. ML’s mother (Bev) actually punched people herself?!? Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, huh? Everybody knows the Chad Kroeger story because Blake himself confirmed it. But I also remember a story where ML punched another female at a bar in OK. The girl filed charges/tried to sue her. ML had her friend lie in testimony that she witnessed the whole thing and Miranda was the “victim”. Blake ended up paying the girl off to make the whole thing go away. God only knows the shit he endured over the years. If he felt guilty about falling for ML, he more than paid the price staying with that psycho.
I think I’ve just accumulated memories of all the dirt because I’ve been here since 2015. And since I wasn’t that aware of Blake before that, I read a whole bunch of articles on him to learn who Gwen was dating, and also on him and ML. I clearly remember having no grudge against her at first and then the more and more I read the more and more I realized who tf he was married to. What a monster.
As for Bev Lambert punching somebody at a state fair, saddletramp used to post screenshots of all the receipts, and tell the stories. There are lots more crazy stories. I believe she was the one who posted that story but then everyone went to the account and saw the post themselves. The post read something like, can someone tell me why Miranda Lambert’s mother just punched me in the face at the state fair?
I only have a vague recollection of hearing the Chad Kroger story. I remember one of the other members of the band retelling the story saying it was a two hit fight. Blake hit the guy and the guy hit the ground.. no idea if that part is true. But I also remember them saying that Blake really did not want to get into a fight and that ML was basically shaming him for not defending her the way she thought she should be defended. I believe that all started because she threw a drink in the face of someone.
Please verify all the stuff yourselves because there are so many things I’ve read and heard over the years. I’m afraid I’m getting stuff wrong.

SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN (1970) – Episode 207 – Decades Of Horror 1970
“Smells like cheese, looks like ham… [takes a bite of sandwich] Oh, no problem. It’s chicken.” Rest assured, Grue Believers. Nothing about this movie resembles chicken. Join your faithful Grue Crew – Doc Rotten, Chad Hunt, Bill Mulligan, and Jeff Mohr – as they dive into that strange vat of boiling acid known as Scream and Scream Again (1970)!
Decades of Horror 1970s Episode 207 – Scream and Scream Again (1970)

Decades of Horror 1970s is partnering with the WICKED HORROR TV CHANNEL (https://wickedhorrortv.com/) which now includes video episodes of the podcast and is available on Roku, AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, AndroidTV, and its online website across all OTT platforms, as well as mobile, tablet, and desktop.
A serial killer who drains his victims’ blood is on the loose in London. The police follow him to a house owned by an eccentric scientist.
  Directed by: Gordon Hessler
Writing Credits: Christopher Wicking (screenplay); Peter Saxon (novel)
Selected Cast:
Vincent Price as Dr. Browning
Christopher Lee as Fremont
Peter Cushing as Major Heinrich Benedek
Alfred Marks as Detective Supt. Bellaver
Michael Gothard as Keith
Christopher Matthews as Dr. David Sorel
Judy Huxtable as Sylvia
Anthony Newlands as Ludwig
Kenneth Benda as Prof. Kingsmill
Marshall Jones as Konratz
Uta Levka as Jane
Yutte Stensgaard as Erika
Julian Holloway as Detective Constable Griffin
Judy Bloom as Helen Bradford (as Judi Bloom)
Peter Sallis as Schweitz
Clifford Earl as Detective Sgt. Jimmy Joyce
Nigel Lambert as Ken Sparten
David Lodge as Detective Inspector Phil Strickland
First, take a killer film title and an equally killer poster. Then grab a bizarre tale that includes long (yet exciting) car chases, vampires (sort of), Frankenstein (sort of), Nazis (sort of), super Vulcan nerve pinches (sort of), and a bubbling vat of acid. Then cast it with three iconic horror actors and what do you get? Scream and Scream Again from Amicus, directed by Gordon Hessler, and featuring Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing. Even if all three are never in the same scene, the results are oddly compelling, yet … goofy and frustrating. Despite the negatives, this film has grown a cult following. What might the Grue Crew make of it?
At the time of this writing, Scream and Scream Again is available to stream from Tubi and Freevee, as well as various PPV options. The film is available on physical media as a Special Edition Blu-ray from Kino Lorber.
Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1970s is part of the Decades of Horror two-week rotation with The Classic Era and the 1980s. In two weeks, the next episode, chosen by Jeff, will be Effects (1979), inspired by George Romero’s Martin (1977) and featuring Tom Savini, as both an effects artist and an actor.

On the Cruelty of Immortality
People always mention vampires as examples of creatures pushed into outsider or outcast status by their nature, but most of them are merely the products of their environment, upon closer scrutiny. As far as I'm concerned, and as a disabled man with Cerebral Palsy, there's a mostly-forgotten nineties' gem that offers a perfect translation of the concept.
Chances are you've heard of Henry Cavill's attempt at a Highlander reboot, more or less presented as "John Wick with Swords" - and directed by Chad Stahelski, no less. Chances are you also remember the original movies that starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown. What's less likely to attract attention is Aaron Paul's turn as a McLeod clan member, in the Franco-Canadian series of the same name. In it, Connor McLeod (Paul) crosses paths with Richie Ryan (Stan Kirsch), a thief who has the misfortune of dying while attempting to abscond with some of the Scottish immortal's possessions - only to reawaken as an immortal himself.
It's your classic Master-Padawan setup, with a modern hood more used to knives and handguns being forced to pick up swordfighting from a reluctant mentor, and learning of the vagaries and wonders of eternal life as he's shuttled between New York and Paris across several seasons. The catch is that Richie is quite young, in every sense of the term, and still tends to reason like someone who only has a few decades to live and who shouldn't take too many risks. He's also revealed to be very, very compassionate.
That eventually sets the pace for a cruel lesson. Richie happens upon the cognitivitely-challenged survivor of a train wreck (who, in retrospect, has all the traits of nonverbal autism depicted in a way that's sadly very nineties), and discovers that the poor guy is, in fact, an immortal like him - and a freshly-risen one, at that. He's had his first accidental Quickening (e.g. the absorption of another fallen immortal's life essence, fragmentary skillsets and memories) and is understandably confused.
Connor spends the episode trying to get Richie to realize that some people simply aren't born to shoulder immortality. It happens, he's seen it before, and he claims the most merciful thing that could be offered to Ryan's new companion is a swift and painless beheading. Eternal life, foisted on someone who couldn't even begin to comprehend it, is more than a curse - it's a literal death sentence, to be dealt by those who do know how to bring about a Quickening. That's without mentioning the risks related to detection, of being seen healing from things that should've killed an ordinary person.
Richie doesn't budge. He spends most of the episode's runtime convinced that there's a way to get an isolated, unsupervised and unstructured non-verbal immortal to pick up swordfighting, calisthenics, proper dieting, exit-spotting, tactical awareness - all of it without being a trained educator for autistic individuals. He's just a guy with a sword, himself a greenhorn at this, and is trying to impress the fact that fighting is now a necessity to someone who cannot understand him.
The episode ends with Richie narrowly saving the guy's life from a gaggle of opposing immortals seeing his friend as an easy meal ticket, and finally realizing that death really is the kindest option. Stan Kirsch does a fine job of showcasing Richie's mental anguish as the camera pans away from the disabled immortal, and he readies his killing blow.
We're also shown what happens when a Quickening is unwanted, as Richie didn't want to kill someone whom he saw himself as responsible for. The usual pyrotechnics display carries a charge of emotional anguish that's hard to miss - and we're left thinking that this was, in fact, the kindest outcome imaginable.
Pop Culture makes it a point to turn the able-bodied, the traditionally gorgeous, the resourceful or the wealthy into vampires. I'm of the mind that Fatality doesn't really pick favourites, and that some stories of life eternal would be far more poignant if a neverending existence were, in fact, structurally cruel.
