Character Development Question: Does Wisp dream? What are those dreams usually like? Do they repeat? Do they lean more towards nightmares? What does Wisp do to handle them?

Thank you for the ask! Wisp does dream, with a high proportion of nightmares at this point. They dream of the last moments they remember on the First, of feeling the sineater transformation slowly taking them over, most frequently. Often those nightmares carry past what they actually remember, to visions of harming their loved ones (those who were on the First but also those who were not: their parents, Arc, Rhalen'to, Khala), of giving in to the sineater hunger. They also dream frequently of waking to their forest home turned to ash.

They do have dreams that are not nightmares, but leave them waking feeling lost and unsettled: dreams of wandering the forest, feeling it as they feel their own self, and of a pair of doors shaped like Fae wings or like the structures of Il Mheg. Sometimes they dream of someone familiar calling to them, but cannot place who it is.

Sometimes they do have the types of dreams that are the more random smattering of connections from waking life: Aerith grown to the size of the house, letting Khala and Gidget jump from Mercer and Khala's house to her back, Stari telling them he has found a new growth formula and coming home to find the greenhouse entirely overgrown, possibly a conversation they thought they had with Mercer or Y'rissa that never actually quite happened. Silly or mundane things.

But the sineater, forest, fire, and Fae dreams and nightmares are what repeat.

So far they try to handle them by hiding them. Drinking a cup of tea, opening a window, going for a walk, or petting Aerith, turning their attention to a tricky plant or magical problem. But as they have gotten closer to people things are harder to hide or shrug off. Probably they will need to address them with someone soon, or take some kind of steps. Probably.

Finally finished these cheebs of my FFXIV characters! Had a lot of fun working on these and they’re the first fully lined pieces I’ve done in a long time and I’m pretty proud of them <3 Chars in order: Cetah, M’kaiko, Emanuel, Andelaux, Rose, Kihruh, and Hitsu.

VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS: 💗💗💗💗 (purely aesthetic appreciation of looks) “She is exceptionally pretty and I love the way her smile reminds me of the warmth of sunshine. We share a similar fashion sense and though I’m not one to be particularly interested in clothing, I’m sure we could easily swap and switch if we wanted to.

FRIENDSHIP LEVEL: 💗💗💗 (how close a friend they consider them) “I have yet to be introduced to Miss Cetah but I would very much like to make her acquintance. I only hear the best of things through the grapevine and she is said to be a sweet and gentle soul.”

It is not to say that I don’t appreciate their finer qualities but I value their friendship and camaraderie more than anything.” Emanuel VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS: 💗💗💗💗 (purely aesthetic appreciation of looks) “I’ve only seen him in passing but at a glance, he has a rugged sort of charm. He exudes a sort of aloofness that is hard to really put a finger on. It’s both abrasive but also lonely. It makes him a rather curious man and adds to his appeal.”

FRIENDSHIP LEVEL: 💗💗💗 (how close a friend they consider them) “I’m not sure if he would even be interested in getting to know someone like me. He always seems so reserved and I’m afraid that I might scare him off with attempts to foster a friendship but that’s never really stopped me from trying before.”

SEXUAL DESIRE: 💗💗 (wanting to have sex with them) Cheeks flush red and Alysia seems rather apprehensive about looking anyone in the eye. “Now that’s quite presumptuous! I have yet to be properly introduced.” She looks sidelong into the distance and huffs impatiently. “If you must know, if we found ourselves compatible personality wise, it wouldn’t be so bad to wake up in the same bed as him.”

ROMANTIC INTENT: 💗💗 A little (hoping for a romantic relationship) "I am sure that Emanuel has a very handsome smile once you coax it out of him. I know little of him besides what I have heard and seen with my own eyes. I feel like there’s much beneath the surface that would determine a romantic connection. A little bit of time and patience would be needed and who knows what might blossom from there?”

She sat on a bench, looking over her leg. The skin on it was pink and scatched, but certainly nothing serious. A few dribbles of blood made its way down her leg.

"No! Not my new socks!"

Her voice was high pitched and whiney. She took a deep breath in and dabbed at the wound gently with some gauze.

She glanced up at the woman and gave her a awkward smile.

"Oh uh, I was trying out these new shoes!"

The platform sneakers lay on the floor next to her, the platforms were at least 4 inches tall.

"I uh, lost my balance and fell into a rose bush."

She chuckled softly.

"I should just stick to normal shoes, but they're so cute!"

pausing upon the request of the Blonde Miqo’te known as Cetah, Yuki simple stares at her for a while before giving a small shrug and faint smile to her friend “I don’t see the harm it.” She softly replies opening her arms in offering to give Cetah the hug she had asked for, after all there is nothing wrong with hugging a friend and everyone needs a hug every now and then don’t they?
