Boomer Chuck beefs with kids

I love this panel so much. A group of young trans mutants beat up an idiot who attacked them while wearing a sentinel suit, then jokingly called themselves X-Men. Chuck sends Jubilee to get them to stop calling themselves that because they're 'unsanctioned.' Also, lying is hilarious.

You’d think the government would’ve executed Erik for killing JFK instead of spending money on building a metal-free prison for him to live out his life in. I seriously think that after seeing the news report of Erik’s arrest, Charles - in spite of his rage and sense of betrayal at the belief that Erik did this - used Cerebro to “persuade” those in charge of the Pentagon that it was better to imprison Erik than kill him. Because no matter what, he just couldn’t let Erik die.

I just found out that there’s an alternate Earth comic where Scott and Alex were abducted along with their parents and raised as Starjammers.

Scott never got his head trauma so he has control of his eye beams. Sometimes his eyes are fully red and sometimes they’re not; I have no idea if these are coloring errors or on purpose.

Ch’od and Raza are replaced by Rocket and Groot for this lineup, which I hate. Stop forcing the Guardians of the Galaxy characters onto other space teams. Hepzibah barely resembles her original skunky self in this. Her tail is so short and doesn’t even have any black in it.

HOWEVER, Hepzibah and Chris are finally MARRIED in this universe! And Chris constantly calls her his wife!!

Sadly, this comes from the short-lived Heroes Reborn 2021 event and this is only the back-up to Hyperion and the Imperial Guard, so there isn’t any more of this.

I want more of this universe so badly. I want Corsair being able to actually raise his sons. I want Scott and Alex who got to have good childhoods. I want Scott being able to control his eye beams. I want Hepzibah being step-mom to Scott and Alex. I want happy Summers Family adventures in space. Why is this only a half issue and why does more of it not exist.

Gooey Loser Husbands get Inferno'd

Inferno kicks off in medias res, with Chuck and Magneto clawing their way out of Krakoan eggs. Look at the wet and sticky naked cuties! I especially appreciate Magneto's buttocks being lovingly rendered.

Emma Frost has had enough of useless men

Foreshadowing that their secret political hegemony is coming to an end, Emma is wearing the crown (Cerebro) and the Loser Husbands are as vulnerable as can be, looking up at her as she mockingly says the words long associated with X-Men leadership - 'to me, my X-Men.' With the Cerebro helmet and a long flowing cape she even looks like she's reappropriating their symbolism in rejection of their secret triumvirate.

It was certainly a good thing to have the power distributed more evenly, though I don't think she went far enough. Charles, Mags, and Moira's secret machinations and control needed to end, but the Quiet Council was just as bad. I don't blame Emma exclusively for that, of course. Undoing an unelected Oligarchy historically requires violent revolution and this was a good first step. Comrade Cypher with backing from the Five finished the job in the name of the Krakoan people.
