Hey miss raven! How are you? Recently i read trey story event card Al'ab Nariya. They are discussing about flames reaction from mixing gunpowder with various metals causing coloured flames in fireworks. Trey said because magic is not common among people, humans relying on science on other thing. Does that mean magic and science coexist together in twst world? How about technology development does that involved colab on magitek and science? Like the magiwheel. They are magitek but does science also involved in the development? Then we have the infamous STYX organization on their research on blot. From what we see, they have more advanced technology than what the general public have. Like the flying cars, the building itself and ortho new gear clearly they combine magitek and science to help their research with blot. Trey also implied that science club also researched on science competition. We all know NRC is magic academy but do they also learn about science? Then does NRC has science in their curriculum like biology, physics and chemistry? A lot of question still inside my brain i cant say more about it 😅 sorry it's turning into a wall of text i just can't get that off! I hope you have a great day! Cheers!

As I’ve theorized in this post, the basis for Twisted Wonderland’s society is the mundane, not the magical. Most of society operates without magic, and that extends to schooling and jobs. Since most people don’t have the capacity for magic, most schools teach normal subjects and those students go on to acquire normal occupations. Magic exists on its own (potions, magic mirrors), non-magic exists on its own (traditional medicine, cellphones), AND a mix of the two exists (healing potions, looking mirrors).
There are many instances within TWST when characters will make reference to “normal” things, such as Trey talking about chemistry and elements from the periodic table in the Silk Adorned vignette (already mentioned by anon). Azul and Deuce frequently mention mathematics or doing arithmetic (usually in regards to money), so non-magical math is implied. Topics like biology and physics are also either directly stated or alluded to. Crewel is even stated to lead the “Science” department at NRC. I would imagine that, similar to theory before application, NRC students need to know these non-magical subjects before combining them in practice with magic.
The same probably applies for the development of inventions that incorporate magical and non-magical elements; there would have to at least be mages trained in the non-magical variant of whatever field they’re in in order to safely and ethically incorporate magic into new medicine or technology. STYX for example is stated to recruit people with low magical reserves, so they are not proficient mages despite having access to crazy tech. Those employees must have hard and technical skills to make them competent researchers of blot.

American R&B singer Aliaune Thiam, professionally known as Akon, has long wanted to help Senegal, the country he grew up in. He started Akon Lighting Africa in 2014 to install cheap Chinese solar-powered lighting systems across the continent. He hoped to do something more significant for Senegal. But how to fund it?
The answer turned out to be the same one adopted by a growing number of governments and entrepreneurs: a mixture of cryptocurrency and urban planning. It’s a combination that offers the promise of development without any of the tricky details—and which tends to turn out to be little more than vaporware. There was Bitcoin City in El Salvador, but also Painted Rock in Nevada, Satoshi Island in Vanuatu, Cryptoland in Fiji, or the Crypto-Kingdom of Bitcointopia in Utah.
In 2018, Akon announced a new cryptocurrency, to be called “akoin.” Akoin would enable Africans to, as the singer put it at a launch event, “advance themselves independent of the government”—in some manner. Most importantly, akoin would fund the creation of Akon City, an advanced planned city to be built in Senegal. Akon announced akoin and Akon City at the Cannes Lions Festival in June 2018. Akon said in November of that year that he had “everything planned out” for the city. But both Akon City and the akoin token remained only ideas for many months.
Akon was interested by the promises of cryptocurrency—specifically, free money by some unclear mechanism—but he was not up on the details of its technical or financial issues: “I come with the concepts and let the geeks figure it out,” he said. The akoin team featured initial coin offering (ICO) entrepreneurs such as Lynn Liss of ICO Impact and Crystal Rose Pierce.
The akoin cryptocurrency was pre-sold in a 2019 crypto token offering called “token of appreciation.” Each dollar “donation” would give you up to four tokens which would convert to akoin.
Akoin had not launched in Senegal at the time, despite billboards across the country. The West African CFA franc is the only legal currency in Senegal; BCEAO, the central bank, warned that akoin could not be used as a currency in the country.
Akoin promised all manner of functionality—special akoin wallet software, direct exchange with other cryptocurrencies or with cellphone minutes, an application marketplace, various “building blocks for entrepreneurship.” None of this was ever implemented.
Akoin finally started trading on a crypto exchange in November 2020. The akoin token didn’t do anything or have any particular utility; it was just a crypto token that you could trade. Pre-sale buyers dumped their akoin immediately and the price crashed. That’s not unusual: As of 2022, 24 percent of new cryptos fell 90 percent or more in their first week.
Akon posted on social media in January 2020 that he had “finalized the agreement for AKON CITY in Senegal”—though he had previously claimed that construction had already started in March 2019. The new city would be built near the small town of Mbodiène, about 100 kilometers south of the capital, Dakar.
Akon City would be a “smart city” inspired by the futuristic African nation of Wakanda from the 2018 movie Black Panther. The city would feature boldly curved skyscrapers, shopping malls, music and movie studios, “eco-friendly” tourist resorts, and a parking garage for flying cars.
Akon claimed in August 2020 that $2 billion of the $6 billion needed to build Akon City had been secured. He laid the foundation stone for the city on Aug. 31, 2020, and said that construction would start “next year,” in 2021.
Construction did not start in 2021, to the disappointment of locals. It was not clear where the $6 billion needed to build Akon City would come from. A representative for KE International, the United States-based contractor for Akon City, told AFP that more than $4 billion had been secured, with Kenyan entrepreneur Julius Mwale as lead investor, and that construction would start in October 2021—but it did not.
By 2022, Akon told the BBC that construction was “100,000 percent moving.” He said the COVID-19 pandemic was partly to blame for the delays. Akon was surprised at the “thousands of studies” that had to be done before work could even commence.
Senegal’s Society for the Development and Promotion of Coasts and Tourist Zones (SAPCO) had claimed the land by eminent domain in 2009 before offering it to Akon City in 2020. By 2023, no building work had been done at the Akon City site—though Axiome Construction insisted that geotechnical studies and environmental assessments were still under way. By this time, according to the Guardian, the only construction was a youth center nearby in Mbodiène, paid for personally by Akon—and built upon the foundation stone that he had laid in 2020.
Senegal finally lost patience with the project. Akon had missed several payments to SAPCO, and in June of this year, SAPCO sent a formal notice to Akon warning that work had to start by the end of July or SAPCO might take back almost all of the land grant.
Akon had already been looking for other opportunities to place akoin. In April 2021, he started talking to Uganda about setting up an Akon City there as well. In January 2022, the Ugandan government allocated him one square mile in Mpunge, in the Mukono district—despite objections from the National Unity Platform party and protests from Mpunge residents wanting compensation, which could not be paid before 2025.
Akon said that Akon City, Uganda, might be completed by 2036. At a 2021 news conference, he evaded questions on what the new city would cost or how it would be funded. The Forum for Democratic Change party said that the Ugandan Akon City would never happen and accused the government of granting “sweetheart deals” to developers.
Akon City was tech solutionism that leveraged the political power of celebrity. Akon wanted to launch a large project and thought that cryptocurrency, the buzzword of 2018, might fund his dream. He thought that this one weird trick would do the job.
In this case, the miracle technology was crypto. These days, such  pushes by celebrities or entrepreneurs of new projects will typically use artificial intelligence—whatever that might mean in a particular case—as the marketing hook for a “smart city.
In his 2023 book Let Them Eat Crypto, Peter Howson of Northumbria University detailed how to head off solutionism-inspired blockchain projects that were heavy on publicity but light on the necessary bureaucratic work on the ground. His approach is broadly applicable to tech solutionism in general: Pay attention to the men behind the curtain. Howson has written recently on “smart city” plans as marketing for crypto tokens.
The Akon City plan was a worked example of speculative urbanization. A project is proposed with science-fiction concept drawings and a pitch aimed at tourists rather than locals; land is allocated; something might eventually be built, but it will bear little resemblance to the brochures. Christopher Marcinkoski of the University of Pennsylvania described Akon City as just one of many such initiatives, particularly in Africa, calling it “very much a real estate play.” The important output from such projects is local political capital—even as they never work out as advertised.
Cryptocurrency was an application of speculative urbanization to money—a high concept, a pitch to financial tourists, and the only end result being a token to speculate on and a tremendous amount of fraud. The Akon City project, however good Akon’s own intentions, seems functionally to have been merely the pitch for a crypto offering that failed—leaving an empty site, disappointed locals, and an embarrassed figurehead.
By 2024, akoin had been removed from the few crypto exchanges it had been listed on; it was effectively worthless. Akon sold short videos on Cameo—but he would not do requests related to cryptocurrency.
The speculative urbanization pitch rolls on. Actor Idris Elba has recently floated plans for an “environmentally friendly smart city” on Sherbro Island off Sierra Leone.

#1 Smart Phone

There's not a day that goes by without me using my smartphone. It has become a vital part of my daily life to the point that the first thing I do upon waking up is to check this device, making sure that I am up to date with various matters (chika & chismis!)
Using smartphone also helps me stay connected with my friends and family. To communicate with them, I use Messenger, an application that is installed here on my phone where I can do chats and videocalls to whoever I want.
Moreover, whenever I come home from school and I happen to have a class while travelling, I use my cellphone to join the meeting, ensuring I won't be late for our class and can catch up on the discussion because it is really convenient. However, it depends on whether I have a mobile data and a good signal.
I also use this phone to capture beautiful pictures and videos such as capturing a wonderful scenery, a special person, a precious moment with my friends, my adorable pets, and even myself. Want some TMI? I have 29,000+ photos and videos save in my camera roll! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

#2 Laptop
Another technology I frequently use is my laptop. Although it's used among all members of my family, I'm the one who uses it the most as evidenced by the wallpaper.
I use laptop to accomplish tasks especially academic related ones. It's a lifesaver for someone like me who finds it challenging to complete tasks solely on a smartphone due to its limited screen size. With my laptop along with a monitor by my side, I can effortlessly do multiple tasks at once, which saves me time. Furthermore, whenever we have online classes, I use this device to join meetings through Google Meet.
But my laptop isn't just for academics; it's also my 'home cinema' since our TV broke down and I can't afford to go to the local cinema. Through this device, I indulge myself in watching various shows and movies such as Grey's Anatomy, One Piece, Marry My Husband, Nana Tour, EN-O'clock, and so on via Sflix, Youtube, and Fmovies when I have free time.
Having a dual monitor setup allows me to watch shows and do tasks simultaneously, which is really beneficial for me!

#3 Earbuds

Next on the list is my precious earbuds! It comes with a cute cover featuring Pompompurin. The case was actually bought by my sister but she had to give them to me because she thought the case included the earbuds themselves. Luckily, the case fit my earbuds perfectly so she had no choice but to hand it over to me!
My earbuds are truly a lifesaver, especially during my travels to and from school. I usually endure a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes, which involves walking, riding trains, and jeeps. Fortunately, the journey isn't as worse as it used to be because I have my favorite music blasting through my earbuds, making my commute lighter than ever.

#4 Microsoft To Do

We now proceed to my favorite software applications! Let's start with Microsoft To Do. This application is incredibly essential for me, especially as a third-year college student taking up Nursing
In Nursing, there are numerous activities and tasks that we must complete, such as return demonstrations, concept maps, NCPs, and more. With Microsoft To Do, I can organize these tasks and categorize them based on their due dates. Since I started using Microsoft To Do, I've become much more efficient in completing tasks.
What I appreciate most about this application is its accessibility—it's available on both my laptop and smartphone, and I can even use it offline. This feature is very convenient, especially on my phone, where I use it as a widget to track my progress and identify which activities are nearing their due dates.

Now, these are social media applications that I mostly use!
Starting with Twitter—there isn't a time when I'm not using this application. It serves as my online newspaper, offering a huge amount of information across different categories. Whether it's local or international news, updates about my favorite K-pop boy group, exposing threads, or any entertaining content, Twitter has it all!

Next on my list are Facebook and Instagram. I use Facebook daily, especially when I want to watch random videos. My favorites include summaries of movies and shows, bakers making and designing their cakes, videos of MSA, and vlogs!
As for Instagram, I use it to post pictures and videos of myself or what happened during my day or throughout the month. Additionally, I use both applications to keep up with my friends and see what's going on in their lives. I show support for their posts by liking and commenting.
Moreover, just like Twitter, I use these platforms to get updates from my favorite celebrities, like Kim Mingyu (the gorgeous man on the right), Enhypen, Mark Lee, Jeon Wonwoo, and so on! ✩࿐࿔

I am a physicist who investigates how superconductors work at the atomic level, how current flows at very low temperatures, and how applications such as levitation can be realized. Recently, researchers have made significant progress toward developing superconductors that can function at relatively normal temperatures and pressures.

The letter "S" stands for Science within STEM, which is the methodical pursuit of information via observation, experimentation, and analysis. I normally wouldn't cover such a vague idea, but I think this would be a good chance to cover hacking Quirks.
Considering how common and advanced technology is in the setting, you should really work to define the Quirk further. Because saying that can hack into any advice is pretty broad. You need to figure out how the user is hacking something, how much the Quirk can affect it, and to what degree it can affect something. As always, a good rule of thumb is that the more the user can target with the Quirk, whether that be with the range of the Quirk or what they can target with it, the more limited it should be, whether that be in the application of the Quirk or the drawbacks they have to deal with. So if you want to do something that can cover all machinery, or at least all computers, you should make it more costly on the user's part. For example, I've done a handful of Quirks related to hacking in the past. "Chip In" can let the user hack into other machinery, which is the basic premise of your idea, but they need to be able to plug into it and they need to be able to concrete on it to make it work. And there are other ways to go about it. "Blackout" can affect a wider variety of targets at longer ranges, but is more limit in how it interacts with tech. "Phone In" can let the user intercept and interfere with electronic communications, but only from cellphones.

NASA-funded AI technology enabling autonomous rovers and drones now keeps an eye on conveyor belts
Artificial intelligence software initially designed to learn and analyze Martian terrain is now at the heart of a system to monitor assembly lines on Earth. 
The vision inspection software from Neurala Inc., an artificial intelligence company in Boston, Massachusetts, works with existing cameras, computers, and even cellphones to monitor the quality of products running along a conveyor belt, for instance.  
“Our software can learn very quickly on a processor with a very small footprint, a skill we learned working with NASA,” said Neurala cofounder and CEO Massimiliano Versace. “By doing so, we enable vision inspection with whatever components are already available, deploying in minutes. In our exploration of the market, we realized that the manufacturing space had a precise need for this technology.”
Versace and Neurala (Spinoff 2018) began working with NASA more than a decade ago on a project funded through the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. NASA was interested in “adaptive bio-inspired navigation for planetary exploration,” and Versace and his team had been working on neural network AI software modeled on the human brain. 
Focusing on a rover concept that could independently learn to traverse Martian terrain, Neurala went on to win STTR Phase II funding for the project. Additional money from a NASA Center Innovation Fund enabled the Neurala team to adapt its technology to drone navigation and collision avoidance. 
In both the rover and the drone applications, the Neurala software could run on a small device on the vehicle itself, eliminating the delay of sending signals to a decision maker in another location. Since then, the company developed the software to help monitor assembly lines.
Onsite computing is an advantage in manufacturing, as well, where an assembly line may have a hundred items passing every minute, making visual inspections for quality control difficult.
