I made twin nobles, and I love them! Shoutout to @giggly-squiggily for helping me with the twins’ hair color (I was stuck for at least a good hour trying to decide what color to make his hair😅) as well as their backstories and their classes/weapons of choice.
Point of reference/inspiration (Cedric) | Point of reference/inspiration (Cecil)
Left Image: Meet Cedric Williams Lanister, the youngest of the Lanister Twins. Cedric is the second-born son of Count Oliver and Countess Teressa. He is also the heir to House Lanister. Cedric is a very sweet and passionate young man who gets along well with the other nobles in Ernestia, even though his house has animosity toward the royal family and the other noble houses. While Cedric isn’t the best when it comes to certain weapons, he took after his father and became a monk, a master at magic. When he and his brother, Cecil, were younger, they were so close. You would always find those two together, whether it be horseback riding or training, they would do everything together. However, when they’re parents caught wind of the prophecy and found out that Cecil was the prophesied child, they kept the twins separated. Because of this, the brothers grew distant. Even though Cecil is the first-born, the count and countess appointed Cedric to be the heir of House Lanister while they prepared Cecil to be King of Ernestia. Cedric never asked for any of this; he doesn’t even want to be head of House Lanister. Cedric wants to be a powerful mage serving the royal family, something his parents says is a ridiculous dream.
Right Image: This is Cecil Armond Lanister, the oldest of the Lanister Twins. Cecil is the first-born son of Count Oliver and Countess Teressa. He is also the former heir to House Lanister. Cecil is the opposite of Cedric. He’s stubborn and has a hardened heart, and doesn’t get along with the other nobles or the royal family. He especially doesn’t get along with Gladiola for whatever reason. While his parents trained him to be a knight, Cedric rebelled and became an assassin, a sword-wielder who is quick and versatile with many blades. Even though he’s Cedric’s twin, he’s still an older brother, and in their youth, Cecil would do everything in his power to care for his brother while their parents were too busy to do so. When his parents heard about the prophecy, they separated Cecil from Cedric, and trained him up to be a great ruler. Because of his parents’ strict orders and discipline, Cecil’s heart hardened. His gaze and words became like daggers, often frightening Cedric. But Cedric is the only one who can see past his brother’s facade. Whenever the two are alone, Cecil’s hardened-heart front crumbles, but around their parents, Cecil puts on the mask again. The only reason Cecil is hard on Cedric is to toughen him up so he can lead House Lanister.
I had fun creating the twins! It’s been a minute since I’ve done twins with well-developed backstories. More art on the way, so stay tuned!
