I just realized that my last post was gonna talk about how Gem is displaying actual bad behavior(i feel like a daycare teacher everytime I type out "bad behavior"...) by trying to turn everyone against Pearl and Impulse. but I totally forgot that! in my rant and ramble about Scott's stupid little silly allyship(???) with the person that wants two(aka more then half) of his teammates dead,,,, that man,,, intrigues me so...
Anyways! By Scott saying that he's trying not to enable bad behavior he's basically letting Gem's actual bad behavior fall unnoticed. He's trying to clean up Pearl's, at this point, very small mess while actively ignoring that there's a way bigger mess that's also sentient AND TRYING TO KILL HIS TEAMMATES(AKA PEARL!?!?!?).
anyways. Gem is showing some real mean girls type shit <3

thinking about how lord asriel believed it was his life's purpose to change the world and defeat the authority and his arrogance caused fractures in the fabric of the multiverse, but lyra belaqua saved possibly billions of souls stuck in the purgatory, returning their essence to the multiverse in the form of dust, offsetting the authority's response to asriel's provocation, not because she wanted to be a hero but because she wanted to help out her friend

The Tales From Veynekan Book #2: Catalysts has been released in eBook and paperback!
It is a direct continuation of book #1: The Flaming Queen
The Tales From Veynekan is my fantasy xenofiction series following mythical animals and their battles to live on despite the continent becoming forsaken in the eyes of their own Guardian.
"The sudden awakening of Veynekan's missing Guardian Phoenix shook the land. Enraged, Guardian Astiriuh declared he would eliminate all inhabits on the continent of Veynekan.
Flossie and Hamara set out to gather the remaining fragments known as Catalysts: shards of physical magic created by the Guardian before his disappearance long ago.
The survival of all beasts depends on them and their allies obtaining these fragments in order to defeat the Guardian before his onslaught can begin."

what made you get into writing marauders fics? did you read/write harry potter fics before? just curious about your journey as a writer lol
it was literally just atyd 🤧 i had never read a single marauders/hp fic before atyd then read it w some friends during early covid…then still did not read any other fics but like a year later reread atyd bc my twin was reading it & decided to write a sirius pov for funsies. wasn’t til i actually finished writing & posting atydsp that i ventured out & started reading other fics ! i had read the og books as a kid so there was some nostalgia factor etc but i really only ~joined the fandom~ a few years ago

Been thinking on how Maggie would technically still be a brand new member of the Simpson family if the timeline wasn't however many seasons long. Don't know what to do with those thoughts but I have been having them.
I’m so glad you brought this up because it happens to be something I think about continuously. I need everybody to embrace my theory of The Simpsons where the family having an unexpected brand-new member is fundamental to all of the characters as we’re currently (constantly) perceiving them:
Marge’s difficulties with her, up to this point, uneventful marriage (tempted to have an affair a few episodes in!) are the result of all her hormones still resettling combined with the stress of the pregnancy itself where Homer struggled to come to terms with the fact that he had to go back to his old job, and wasn’t very emotionally supportive as a result. As her older two children grow up, she’s gaining a sense of her identity outside of motherhood, while the new baby is simultaneously tying her more closely to the heart of her home than ever. She’s both more rooted and more unsettled than she’s ever been before and that conflict is reflected in her episodes.
In the episode “Lisa the Simpson” we’re told that Bart was a good student when he was in Lisa’s year, before his grades took a rapid dive from which they never recovered. The episode attributes this to a “Simpson gene” which makes all the male members of the Simpson family lose their intelligence at the age of eight. I have not lost my intelligence and think it’s very obvious that Bart is still trying to recover from all the aforementioned sources of stress that would have occurred right around that exact point in time. He faced some upheaval shortly before we met him and the Bart we know now is still trying to get his head above water.
Lisa tends to feel neglected and overlooked, identifies herself with her intelligence to the point where she has an identity crisis any time she’s not the smartest person in the room, and is constantly embarking on socially disruptive moral crusades. All of the above are clearly the actions of a child who was the baby of the family for most of her life and is now actively engaged in determining her value beyond that designation.
And finally, Homer’s contribution to his family up to this point has been completely based on his role as the provider, having spent the better part of the past decade since he and his high school sweetheart had that accidental pregnancy paying off the family’s debts and looking forward to the time when he had definitively done right by them and could transition to a lower-paying job without worry. Instead, the presence of yet another unexpected baby and his transition to the role of safety inspector have forced him to an awareness of the fact that his responsibility is ongoing, that his other two children—at ages eight and ten—aren’t babies anymore, that it’s no longer going to be enough to clock in every day to provide for them and then clock out and nurse a well-earned beer, that they now need him in a way they didn’t before and that leaving all the parenting to Marge is no longer going to be enough. I think that this reflects a reality of life for many working parents whose primary duty hasn’t been at home, until suddenly their home starts to demand them. That’s why The Simpsons doesn’t take place in 1989 or 2024 or any year in between, it takes place in the year that Homer Simpson becomes a father.

can i just point out that Joel was a loner for third life. he was a deranged crazy person loner during last life. in double life he had a solid alliance of two (2). in limited life he had a solid alliance of three (3)!! and with the mounders he had an alliance of… four!!!! now you might think oh fun. moving on. but no!!! the tragedy of the life series is that they are trapped in an endless cycle. the canary the widow’s alliance the dogs the crastle the seasons whatever. but Joel? he’s breaking out of his narrative.

Jimmy might be The Canary but Grian is The Catalyst.
catalyst: a person or thing that precipitates an event.
(precipitates: cause (an event or situation, typically one that is undesirable) to happen suddenly, unexpectedly, or prematurely.)
This is something that I noticed while looking at Timmys deaths and last episodes. Grian is always in someway responsible for his death.
Spoilers for the entire Life series.
-> Third life:
• The plan and the bunker used in the Attack of the Desert was designed by Grian.
•The reason Dogwarts attacked was because Grian and Scar stole their banner
•Grian tells him "Yeah, you can go into the bunker."
•The bunker in which he dies in because of his struggle of getting down the escape route in the bunker.
-> Last Life:
•The simplest one. Grian chases after Jimmy because Jimmy was trying to kill Grian and during that Jimmy falls and dies.
•The height Jimmy fell wasn't enough to kill a player but the previous damage by Grian's sword sealed his fate.
•(And Grian kills Mumbo seconds later)
->Double Life:
•We know Jimmy was killed by an enderman. But why was he even outside at night?
•Because he and the other reds just finished killing Grian and Scar for being the last greens.
•He was on his way back to the Ranch and there he was killed by an enderman.
-> Limited Life:
•Grian was the one to tell Joel to let Jimmy push the TnT minecart.
•"Let Tim do it. He needs the time." Direct quote from Grian, like, 3-5 seconds before Jimmy's death.
•Jimmy had about an hour left. He could have found another way to gain more time.
•(Still love the headcannon that either Grian or The Watchers pushed Jimmy off.)
-> Secret Life:
•Sure, Jimmy didn't die first but I would argue that the Curse didn't die. Also Grian is still responsible for Jimmy's death.
•Grian's and Etho's attempt at making the wither and the warden fight causes Jimmy's (and Mumbo's) death because they were trying to fight/flee form them.
The Canary warns other of the upcoming danger while The Catalyst is the cause of said danger.
Jimmy is called The Canary because everytime he dies thing get more deadly and chaotic afterwards. And what is Grian if not an agent of chaos. Especially after Jimmy dies and he turns red.
