The UK tour merch was all of Broadway's leftovers, but we really wanted something special signed by the cast. So we just decided to make our own. We couldn't be more proud of it, and the cast loved it too! ✨

Three weeks until I go see CatCF, making a few predictions now and we'll see if they come true:

- Haydn Court will not be on as Charlie, only Les actor I didn't see so I'll never see him onstage skdjsjd

- Ballet squirrels from the Broadway version will not be returning (don't expect them to at all, but I can dream-)

- They're gonna find a way to make one or more of the kids' demises even more fucked up than in previous versions

- Mike's transmission into the TV is somehow gonna be even more "how tf did they do that??" than WE or Broadway

- At least one new song/song with heavily altered lyrics from previous versions

- I will be put off chocolate again for an indeterminate amount of time

AGAHRHEHUQHA OKAY!!! This might be a long ramble but that’s okay (Tysm for letting me yap) I think I’ll js bullet point it actually

The West End production is better, in my opinion, but I don’t find the other versions any less enjoyable to watch if yk what I mean

I really enjoy the modern interpretations of the characters (especially the four rotten children)

Mike Teavee is my favorite (well I mean, he is in every adaptation) but he’s just so funny in the musical, and I resonate more with him bc he canonically has ADD/ADHD in the musical!

The parents have more interesting and less bland personalities than some did in the film adaptations

(Most of) the songs are either beautiful, or just absolute BANGERS. Especially Vidiots, It Must be Believed to be Seen, and Juicy (only in the West End version unfortunately)

Wonka and Charlie have a much more established bond in the musical version

All the Wonkas throughout all the musical adaptations have been consistently AMAZING

The Broadway cast is hilarious and it’s so funny to see their backstage videos even though they were so long ago

the costumes are FANTASTIC!!

The set design is also spectacular, but only in the WE and UK tour versions bc the broadway was js super bland for some reason???

Violet is an absolute POWERHOUSE of a singer

Veruca is a ballerina (in the broadway she’s a Russian ballerina) which is a take I adore

Mike Teavee has been canonically been requested by the authorities to not leave his house I would include more, but then it would be a SUPER long post

The Entire UK Tour Teavee Family (norman doesn't count)

Started it in December before we saw the show, and adhd'd finishing it. After finally seeing the show 8 times in 2 weeks, we managed to get it done by the final day to pass on the prints to Leonie (Doris) & Teddy (Mike).

Mrs. T deserves this W moment, Mike is such an ass to her in this version.
