P sure i already said this before but i like to think that friede and yuria's relationship at first was friede (10 yo, never used to having to split her attentions towards another smaller human ) being "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING I HATE IT >:((( " and likely couldntve have been trusted being left alone with her for more than 20 minutes. I think the reason i like catacombs of carthus but hate all the catacombs in eldy ring is bc carthus is a full (albeit small) dark souls level with actual stuff that happens and then in eldy the catacombs are just random closed off side areas

A seldom-acknowledged core element of the dark souls experience is at least one area with a long ass corridor or giant room with no real hazards that you have to spend a good five minutes getting across each runthrough with the awkward half-jog your armored undead bozo can barely maintain
