#sonic fandub#sonic the hedgehog#eggman#anyway how are y’all doing#my bf and i have been going ham with a deep vacuum for 2 hours because our bedroom flooded with water#and it smells SO BAD#and we didn’t even know that it was flooded because it started in the closet#the normal vacuum wasn’t doing anything so i went over to the neighbours and asked for his fancy water vacuum#AND ITS NOT REALLY DOING ANYTHING#SO IF YOU HAVE ADVICE PLEASE TELL ME#we’re so stressed what the fuck#if i get mold in the carpet i’ll be pissed#the second time i got mold sickness in a year#i am one with the mold babyyy#anyway shoutout to my partner he’s been great#in sickness health and mold poisoning#posting this as i take a break from cleaning my carpet#EDIT: I WASNT EVEN THE ONE WHO FLOODED IT#IT WAS MT BROTHER. HE WAS THE CAUSER OF MOLD TJE FIRST TIME TO#AND OF COURSE HE HAS NO CONSEQUENCES BECAUSE HE DOESNT SHARE A WALL WITH THE WASH ROOM#i needed to defend my innocence lol

i love the bit about becoming an adult meaning you value useful items as gifts aka the socks meme bc yeah. my big ticket item this year for my birthday/christmas list is a vacuum cleaner
#IT WOULD JUST BE SO USEFULLLLLLL#like a cordless stick vacuum which i KNOW I KNOW they have their faults etc but we have all tile and fake hardwood floors in our house#like the only carpet is a rug or two but jesus christ there is so much sand all the time#and my sister got us a robot vacuum 2 years ago and he’s great (named rocky after patrick#’s pet rock) but if he gets stuck somewhere he dies and we gotta wait to recharge him#not to mention he’s horrible for spot cleaning so yeah. hoping this dream comes true

It's really nice having a free housekeeping service thru my Medicaid but ever since my regular housekeeper that I had for a year (now friend) got promoted in March it's like every other person I've had fuckin hates disabled people
#there was one perso who would drive by my house to clock in (your location has to show that you're at the client's house) and leave#found out when i called and was like hey why has no one been showing up and the office was like it shows shes been clocking in there what??#apparently i wasn't the only one and she got fired#and then we had a woman who treated my shift like it was her break time#i mean she would sit at our table and eat a full meal and talk on the phone as loud as possible instead of cleaning#she'd clean for 20 minutes usually just dishes then spend the rest of the time eating or playing on her phone or on a phone call#she would put away WET TOWELS i mean they were more than just 'damp'#and once left a full unflushed shit in our toilet with shit stains on the toilet seat#i remember once she sat outside in our front yard on a phone call and when i went out there to ask what was going on#she was just like ''im on the phone'' and ignored me#i asked for her not to come back several times and they sent her 2 or 3 more times#and then i got a new lady who just straight up lies to my face#i give her a list of what i need done for the day and she will only do the dishes#then sit at our table and be like ''oh i got everything else done I'm just waiting on laundry''#and then I'd look to see that actually nothing else was done at all counters dirty floors dirty LAUNDRY NOT DONE#i confronted her last time#i was like ''hey I've asked for the bathroom to get done the past few times now and it hasn't been''#and she was like ''yes I did clean it'' so i wiped my hand across the sink and showed her the dust and grime stuck to my fingers#and then didn't clean it again that day. and said sat at the table saying she was waiting on laundry. and no laundry was done#and said she swept the living room which absolutely was not swept#bc I'd get out the vacuum and she'd be like ''oh i can just use the broom'' (on the carpet??)#I'd get the bathroom cleaning supplies out and she'd just put them away#and i dont mean that im being super picky about wanting things cleaned prefectly#or thaf she's ''not doing it right''#she's literally not doing it at all#i told my friend/ex housekeeper about this and she told me that every other person who's had her also asked for her not to come back#oop she's here. it's gonna be her last time i called the office and set it in stone this morning that she wont be coming back#.bdo

felt so accomplished and productive today taking apart the old vacuum cleaner: washing the filters choked with 8 years worth of dust, removing all the hair wrapped around the roller brush, emptying the dust cup. it's fully functional now....spent a good hour or so vacuuming the entire upstairs
#we got a cordless vacuum but it just refuses to work on carpets so i decided it was time to bring back the old big heavy vaccuum#it was so satisfying to actually hear it suck up all the dust and whatnot as i vacuumed#i love how you can detach the dust cup and the wand for more versatile cleaning it's so great for those tight hard to reach spots#hgkshfjdjd this is such a mid 20s joy. when the vacuum is versatile#i wonder what the etymology of vacuum is it's a strange looking word

How I manage to get my house duties done on my days off even when I just want to play my video game:
I clean the toilet and the tub and then I play a match on my video game
I clean the mirror and the sink the I play a match of my video game
I clean the stove and the oven then I play a match on my video game
I clean the counters and the table then I play a match on my video game
I vacuum the floors then I play a match on my video game
I mop the floors then I play a match on my video game
Before you know it my whole house is clean and I got time to play my video game 😁
You don't have to be pain free or depression free to clean up your house. (I'm certainly not!!) You just have to learn ways that motivate you to get it done! ❤️

I’m so exhausted my landlord came over again today and turned off my steam valve? so it’s not leaking rn but I’ll have to keep cricket in my room again tomorrow because they are finally getting the maintenance people out here….. but I’m so sick of this all I don’t want my ceiling to leak I don’t want to not have heat in my living room and I want cricket to be free and not have to worry about rusted water getting on her 😭

PSA: if you have pets…especially ones that shed a lot…and you have carpet in your home…INVEST IN A GOOD VACUUM AND CARPET SHAMPOOER
#mott txt#this coming from a person shampooing the carpets and vacuuming a house where the person had a dog#and clearly never or rarely even vacuumed let alone shampooed the carpets#that’s where the dog smell in homes comes from btw#I’ve taken obscene amounts of dog hair out of the carpet that wasn’t visible#he vacuumed before he left but it only got rid of the visible hair I’m sure#I saw the house before he vacuumed…the hair was HEAPED in piles#I knew I had a lot of cleaning to do to get the smell out so I’m glad the landlords were upfront abt it#and took a considerable amount of money off the rent bc I’m cleaning

#i swear I am hearing stuff#it might be because this is an old house and those make noises sometimes#but maybe there's something#and maybe there's nothing at all and I'm imagining this#i think I'll clean my room sometime the next days....#it's overdue anyways there's this one corner where i haven't looked at in like two years out of fear what might linger in those depths#my room is a nightmare for people with dust allergies#carpet everywhwre last time i dusted off was too long ago to remember#there's some mold on my windows because i used to rarely open them#that was before I noticed that fresh air is really nice actually and i like breathing good#my couch creaks too and I know my heater sometimws makes strange noises#the boiler from my floors bathroom got the verdict “out of date and should probably be replaced''#it works well but now I'm a tad scared of it exploding#or giving me carbon monoxide poisoning#We're paranoid like that ig thats in up here nowadays#god I really should deepclean this thing sometime#by couch too i sleep on it every day so I seldom get the chance to really do something there#because. like. i kinda need that thing#but I vacuumed and where was a lot of dust#why do I live in filth I even try to keep it somewhat alright#sigh I'll just do what I can do for today and chamge my bedsheets#we'll see about the rest when we get there

accidentally forgot to start my laundry (which includes my one and only pair of bedsheets), so instead of going to sleep, i cleaned my entire house instead.
#so that’s what my productivity is looking at right now#my laundry is almost dry and!!!! my floors are swept and my carpets are vacuumed :))#and this literally only transpired bc useless adhd brain cannot remember to do anything ever#still have not done ANY schoolwork or written either of the emails i need to write but like.#you can’t win em all#i’ll fight those battles again tomorrow#and win#and now that my FLOORS are clean and my tv is set up i can start seriously thinking about inviting people over#FINALLY.#the thing i have been WANTING to do ever since my coworkers and i became friends#so i made the right choice for sure#i’m too braindead tired to deal with school rn anyway#tomorrow will be MUCH better for that
