Point Cook's Premier Carpet Cleaners: Unleashing the Power of Clean
In the serene suburbs of Point Cook, where homes stand as a testament to comfort and style, maintaining the pristine condition of carpets becomes a crucial aspect of creating a welcoming and harmonious living space. Point Cook's premier carpet cleaners play a pivotal role in preserving the aesthetic appeal and hygiene of homes. In this article, we delve into the world of carpet cleaning, exploring the significance of professional services in Point Cook and how they unleash the power of clean, transforming carpets from mere floor coverings to statements of immaculate living.
The Importance of Clean Carpets:
Carpets serve as more than just a flooring option; they are an integral part of home decor. However, their position on the floor also makes them susceptible to dirt, dust, allergens, and stains. Regular foot traffic, accidental spills, and the accumulation of particles over time can lead to a decline in the carpet's appearance and, more importantly, impact indoor air quality. Unclean carpets can harbor allergens and bacteria, posing health risks to residents, especially those with respiratory conditions.
Professional Carpet Cleaning in Point Cook:
Point Cook's premier carpet cleaners recognize the unique challenges posed by the local environment and lifestyle. They employ state-of-the-art technology and industry-best practices to deliver a comprehensive cleaning experience. From the removal of stubborn stains to deep-seated dirt extraction, these professionals are equipped to rejuvenate carpets, ensuring they not only look pristine but also contribute to a healthier living environment.
The Power of Advanced Technology:
One of the distinguishing factors of Point Cook's premier carpet cleaners is their commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology. Advanced carpet cleaning machines use hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning, to penetrate deep into carpet fibers. This process effectively removes dirt, dust, and contaminants, leaving carpets refreshed and revitalized. Moreover, the use of environmentally friendly cleaning solutions ensures a thorough cleanse without compromising the well-being of residents or the environment.
Tailored Solutions for Point Cook Homes:
Every home in Point Cook has its unique character, and carpets come in various materials, textures, and colors. Recognizing this diversity, premier carpet cleaners in Point Cook provide tailored solutions. Whether dealing with delicate Persian rugs, high-traffic areas, or specific stain removal needs, these professionals assess each situation individually, devising a customized cleaning plan to meet the distinct requirements of every client.
Expertise in Stain Removal:
Spills and stains are inevitable in any household, but their presence on carpets can be distressing. Point Cook's premier carpet cleaners specialize in stain removal, employing targeted techniques to eliminate even the toughest blemishes. From red wine spills to pet accidents, these experts have the knowledge and tools to restore carpets to their original, spotless state.
Health and Allergy Considerations:
The health-conscious residents of Point Cook appreciate the emphasis placed on creating a clean and allergen-free living environment. Premier carpet cleaners in the area understand the importance of removing allergens, dust mites, and pollutants from carpets. Through their meticulous cleaning processes, they contribute to improved indoor air quality, creating a healthier home for residents.
Preserving Longevity and Beauty:
Investing in professional carpet cleaning not only enhances the immediate aesthetic appeal of a home but also contributes to the long-term preservation of carpets. By removing accumulated dirt and preventing the deterioration of fibers, these services extend the lifespan of carpets, ensuring they remain a valuable asset to the home for years to come.
Conclusion:
Point Cook's premier carpet cleaners stand as guardians of the community's homes, dedicated to unleashing the power of clean through their expertise and advanced cleaning techniques. As residents entrust these professionals with the care of their carpets, they not only witness a visual transformation but also experience the tangible benefits of a healthier and more comfortable living space. In Point Cook, where style meets substance, premier carpet cleaners play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and cleanliness that define the essence of home.

Hii can I request any yandere JJK men with a reader whose on a hunger strike or refuses to be handfed by them? Ty ^.^
Yandere JJK react to y/n refusing them/not eating
Characters: Gojo, Geto, Nanami, Toji, (NEW) Sukuna (king ver of Sukuna)
AN: just reader being a lil bratty (real) also I just added Sukuna as a new character tehe. Tell me how it is đ however since heâs a yan I am making him softer towards y/n (but insaner towards other ppl yk?) also heâs a king in this one so
TW: starving, SLIGHT physical violence, threats, force feeding, tiniest bit of infantilization (gojo & Nanami)
Gojo:
No he wonât allow it.
He wonât allow you to act like a child and refuse to eat or drink. At this point heâs worried because you wonât do anything. Like a dead doll standing as still as possible to not be caught moving.
Nothing scares him. But you do.
So he took matters into his own hands and tied you up in a chair, hands to the armrests, legs to the feet of the chair, chest binded and rope littered all around the rest of your body tied to the helpless chair.
You screamed since you couldnât kick, bit since you couldnât hit, tried to refuse and refuse and he just didnât know what to do. Seeing you hurt yourself, not eating as a protest to your involuntary stay, god it was torture to him. Like his own punishment.
At first he let it go. Tried to hand feed you your favorite snacks and placed a cup of cold water at your lips. And everytime you smacked it away from you. He watched your favorite snacks hit the floor and soil the carpet. The water spill and create a wet mess on the floor boards.
Why couldnât you just be good and eat? Drink? Please stop refusing. At one point he almost started begging you. Hands at his chest, put together, eyes wide and sad, his mouth profusely spitting out begs and whines of how he just wanted you safe and healthy.
You didnât listen.
You probably shouldâve, or at least acknowledged his damn presence, because what he did next whatâs unpredictable.
Tying you up in that chair and force feeding you. He made you your comfort food in hopes youâd actually want to eat it on your own. You didnât. Which is fine. It just means he had to take extra precautions. His hand swirled the spoon of food around in the air, blowing raspberries as he said,
âHere comes the airplane!â As if you were some stupid child not wanting to eat your greens.
The spoon flew to your mouth but you moved your head to the side the only thing you could move, avoiding the spoon and itâs food.
His smile dropped just the tiniest bit but he continued his ministrations.
âBabe! Here comes the airplane Kay? Say ahh!â He announced once again in that awfully positive attitude, nudging the spoon at your lips, which you kept sewn shut.
âCome on babe, just open up~â but you didnât, and he was getting impatient. âBabe?â
You didnât look at him, didnât dare open your mouth or even glance his way.
He snaps, grabbing your jaw and pinching your nose. You gasped, not being able to breathe, and without a second thought, that spoon of food was shoved into your mouth. He let go of your nose, and scooted his chair closer to yours.
âItâs good right? I added extra flavoring just for my girl. I know you like it that way.â He giggled, as if he didnt force the food down your damn throat.
âHere comes the choo choo train!â He whistled, and you realized that he enjoys babying you the way he does, even if it meant going against your will.
Geto:
This man does not play around either.
Coming home to you after a long day with what he calls âmonkeysâ just to see the untouched food still sitting on the table from when he made breakfast. He had brought take out- just to find out that you havenât been eating in the first place.
He made that for you, took time out of his day to cook, make breakfast for you, the time where heâs normally busy. But alas, he cleans the dishes and runs up to your room and knocks on your door. It doesnât matter if you donât want him in heâll come in anyway.
âI noticed you didnât touch your plate. From this morning. Itâs night now.â
Your stuffed into the sheets, messy covers over your body and head in your pillows. You donât answer. You donât think he deserves one.
âYou havenât eaten all week.â
He shuts the door behind him and storms towards you. Itâs obvious that your silence is making him angry. Normally, you ignoring him doesnât make him upset, he understands how you might feelâŚuneasy in this kind of situation. But hurting yourself? Thatâs not something heâll allow or even tolerate.
He grabs the sheets and tugs them off of you, revealing your drained form. You groan and cover try to tug the sheets back to cover your body but he throws them to the floor and glared at you.
âYou know why youâre so drained? Itâs causeâ you wonât fucking eat.â
You donât answer, you donât want to answer. You just want the bed to swallow you whole, and the ground to open up so that you may fall into the abyss and disappear.
âI donât want your fucking food.â You say, instead.
âWhy not? Is it not to your liking?â
You grumble and glare up at him, finally lifting your face from the pillows.
âYouâre not to my liking- Suguru I wanna go home-â âenough!â
He cuts you off quickly, shutting you down almost immediately, which causes you to stuff your head back into the pillows.
He groans seeing this and slowly shuffled onto the bed with you. His mouth came down to your ear where he whispered
âIf you donât at least try to eat, Iâll make you.â
A shiver ran down your spine, you knew he wasnât fibbing. You slowly got out of bed but he was quicker then you, pulling you out by your arm and sitting you up against the bed post.
He brought the takeout food and opened the bags of food on the bed, handing you a plate and utensil. You took it hesitantly and kept it on your lap. Not opening the food.
âWell?â
You shook your head. This was your way of protest, against him holding you captive, running a cult, being a damn curse user-
âYouâre going to eat.â He demands, and you just shake your head and look to the side of you, away from him. You know heâll force you- but you canât help but refuse him anyway.
And without a second thought, he grabs the food then you, hoisting you into his lap without a single chance for you to fight back. One arm caging you in by your chest and arms, stopping any movement from you, the other bringing a spoon to your mouth.
âEat, darling, or itâll get worse from here.â A smile adoring his lips and licking the tips of your ear.
You finally take a bite of the food, his arm that basically were bruising your ribs to stop your movement finally unclenched around you and gave you a second to breathe.
âSee? That wasnât so hard. Now open up.â
Toji-
âYerâ not eating your food.â
Youâve slumped down on the chair in front of him in the dining room, swirling around the water in your glass cup, the food in front of you untouched.
âIâm talking to you, doll.â
But you ignore him, watching the whirlpool or water in your cup, ignoring his very obvious angry presence.
âYou havenât eaten in days. You know whatâsâ that gonna do to you? Youâre gonna faint.â
You again ignore him and sigh, head resting on your hand that rested against the table.
âIâm talking to you.â
You donât look up. You know itâs a lousy way to protest this invuluntary stay but you canât think of anything else. Heâs basically taken away any other form of protest you could ever possibly have, heâs controlling and fuck is he actually smart. His protectiveness on the kind of level where he made sure you could never fight back or hurt yourself in the process.
As your dazed, zoned out in your own thoughts, you donât see him get out of his seat and grab you by your arm, forcing you up and off the seat and the floor.
âDidnât yeah hear me?â
You wince at the fact your arm is being held above your head and youâre practically hanging from it.
âI heard you okay.. Iâm not hungry.â
He huffs and puts you down. âNot hungry? Itâs been days, doll. Days.â
You just shrug, rubbing your sore arm from being hanged up by it.
âIf you donât eat, I donât mind feeding you like a baby bird. Iâll eat it up then force into your mouth with mine.â
âY-youâre so crude, Toji..â You almost whine, disgusted by the thought.
âIâm not kidding.â
You sit back down at your seat, his eyes watching you pick up the fork and start to stab at your food.
âWhat did I say?â
âOkay okay.â You whine, finally sticking the fork in your mouth, making eye contact with him as you do, glaring at him.
âTastes bad.â You whine.
âYou little-â
Nanami-
Nanami is quite the patient man. You donât want to get out of bed? Fine. You donât want to shower? Fine. You donât want to touch him? Fine. But you donât want to eat or drink? Thatâs fucking pushing it.
When he first took you, he made sure you got all the proper nutrients you need, took care of your hygiene and made sure you were perfectly physically healthy.
Heâs been putting down food at your nightstand for every meal, sometimes snacks in the middle of meals as well. He feeds you such a good amount thatâs supposed to keep you full for every second of the day. Keep you satisfied. And pantries filled with your favorite snacks (the healthier versions, however), and a mini fridge with your favorite zero-sugar healthy drinks. With water, of course.
But you havenât touched any.
He notices that every meal he puts down at your nightstand is untouched. You lay still in bed, so still he thinks you might be dead. Well you might be, with the absence of food eating at you.
And the pantry is untouched so is the mini fridge, and all the snacks he left for you in the middle of the days start to pile up.
At first he didnât mind it. He got it, you might be nauseated or feel sick at the fact your away from home. Thatâs fine. Heâll give you time.
But then days go by.
And he just gets so worried about your health.
He encouraged you as much as he could but wouldnât push it, he didnât wanna scare you away. But at this point, it was just ridiculous. He watched from work, on his phone with the app that connected all his security cameras, watching as you hovered around the kitchen. He knew you were hungry. So why torture yourself?
At this point it was torturing him, not you. Well maybe that was the point to it. But he couldnât take it anymore. He felt like a terrible caregiver. He was supposed to take care of you and protect you as your lover- thatâs the damn reason he took you in, in the first place. So why couldnât you see that? Why couldnât he help you?
But Nanami is a good man, with zero bad intentions. So he decides first he can try bribing you. He makes your favorite dishes, the smell wafting in your room and up your nose. He places it at your nightstand, with your favorite cold drink next to it. The perfect combo. He does this for a while. No matter how hard the food is to make, whatever bullshit combination he needed to construct, however simple or complicated, he made it.
And yet you didnât eat it.
He tried buying you material things, giving you extra little privileges like time in the garden or extra TV time, but you donât even use them. You donât even care.
And he can tell that you would, if you had the strength to. But you donât, youâre weak. Probably because youâve gotten so weak. But your hoping, your begging, that maybe heâll see your weak body and finally get you some help. Maybe heâll realize this is hurting not helping you, and heâll let you go. You know the Nanami youâve always known is deep down beneath the insecurity of his yandere self. You just need to find it right?
He got home that night. Late. His mind buzzed with work, eyes tired and body sore from constantly staying in his office chair, clicking the keyboard and staring at a screen. Heâs been looking into a job for jujutsu sorcerers- but he thinks thatâll take too much time away from you.
He dragged his body into the house, closing the door behind him and quietly yelling out, âSweetheart, Iâm home.â
He hoped youâd flock to the door and heâd feel your warmth- but obviously that was just a dream to him and you never did so. Staying hidden away in the your room or wherever you were.
He decided to prepare a late dinner for the both of you, hoping some time together could encourage you to eat.
He dragged his body to your room. He just needed you, needed your warmth, your kindness, your loving presence and any kind of physical and emotional attention you could give him.
But as he opens the door to your room, he sees the breakfast he left on your. NIght stand, still left untouched.
âSweetheart. This has gone too long. I respect all your decisions, and that you might be upset with me, but I need you to eat.â
Your wrapped up in the sheets, ignoring him, face stuffed in your white pillows.
âHoney, dear. Please, look at me.â
You can hear the desperation in his voice, the almost begging in his timid voice that almost makes you choke.
You look up at him, soft dead eyes staring up at his concerned ones.
âI made your favorite meal again. I know you donât want to eat, but can you at least come sit at the table with me?â
You know this is his soft way of trying to convince you. And you also know that he wants you to sit at the table so he can feel like you two are an actual couple not one from hell.
You get up, which makes him sigh of relief. Thinking that youâre giving him a chance. Obviously, thatâs not your idea, but youâll let him think so.
He gently takes your hand, leading you downstairs to the dining table. You see he decorated, putting candles on the table, brought out the fancy silverware and china, the wine glasses and table cloths that matched the fabric of the silk pillows on the cushioned chairs.
âSit, my love.â He pulls your chair for you, with a gentle smile. You can see the relief in his eyes when you sit, and he pushes you in.
Youâd be flustered by such a gentlemanly move if it wasnât for the situation you were currently in.
He sits in front of you and pops open the white wine, the insanely expansive white wine, pouring some in both of your glasses, he raised his up to yours, in which you ignored, and he clinked his glass with yours.
âReady to try? I simply perfected the recipe-â
You place a spoonful of food in your mouth, before spitting it out right at him, shocking him and making yourself laugh for the first time in so long.
You soiled his expensive blouse, the shock of your behavior making him spill his wine, his eyes wide and looking down at his ruined blouse, then to you, then to the spilled wine, then to you.
You just giggle, smirking in victory at his dazed response and how you wonât let yourself be pushed around by him.
But what you donât expect, is for this extremely caring gentlemanly man to slam down the cloth from on his thighs down at the table, getting up as he unloosed his tie.
âIâm done.â
And your smile drops in a way that makes you realize you won. Heâll let you go, heâs finally done with you heâs gonna let you go-
âIf you want to act like a child I will simply treat you like one, until you can behave like an adult.â
Your eyebrow raises at that. What? Wait what?
He throws his tie off his neck, grabbing your hands and tying them up. You try to fight him off you but heâs strong, he didnât even try.
He leaves, and your relieved, a little scared that he left you tied but at least the mad man is gone. But then he comes back with a toddlers seat. A fucking child booster seat.
Your eyes widen as you realize what he meant. âN-no no way! Iâm not sitting in that- I wonât even fit-â
âYou know I bought this.. I bought this hoping our first child could use it..â he sighs. âBut I guess you can be the test drive..â
âN-no! Your crazy! Your insane! I wonât even fit in it I wonât!â
âYou donât have a choice.â He cuts you off. âIâm tired of watching my love kill themselves off just because youâre upset. You can be upset just donât hurt yourself.â
He places the childâs booster seat next to you, at the table.
âYou either eat, or fucking sit here and Iâll feed you. Well? Do you want a baby bottle too?â
Sukuna:
Catching the eye of someone so murderous and evil is just the most hell filled unfortunate thing that can happen to you.
And it did.
You found yourself being coddled and âlovedâ by a monster. Heâs pure evil, and youâre his. Thereâs no denying it. Youâre the chosen one.
As his maids touch up your hair, give you a manicure, clean your face of the tears and blood from biting your lips, you stare at them with desperation in your eyes.
Save me.
You think, but they wonât. Theyâre loyal.
Sure, Sukuna hasnât done anything actually bad to you, but heâs locked you up, like a princess in a tower. You hope that your prince in shining armor will save you, that heâll come running with his horse and sword, armor and shield in hand.
But he never does. And if he did, youâd never know because Sukuna probably killed him before he even got a chance to get a glimpse of your pearly eyes.
A maid brushes your hair. You think. Heâs taken away all your forms of protest.
When you stopped taking care of yourself, that was fine, he ordered his maids to wash your hair and clean your body, do your skincare and paint your nails. Even go as far as to brush your damn teeth.
Theyâd use expensive amounts of creams and moisturizers, the kind even the bourgeoisie couldnât afford. Perfumes from across the land and hair oils from different kingdoms.
All these things, just for you.
When you didnât want to get out of bed, see the sun, he made sure you were made to get that vitamin D every morning, a small stroll before and after breakfast in the garden, with of course, the guards watching you.
He pampered you, without even being there. Made sure you were healthily entertained with your favorite books and games, all your devices you humans use to take up time. He even brought a festival worth of people to greet you when he took- when you came. Circuses, fire crackers, acrobats, all those to welcome you into his palace.
And you took it all with a grain of rice.
You didnât want to be here, you didnât mean to pique his interest. But you did. And now your stuck. You even heard the townspeople whisper of how the man who forced everyone on their knees to worship him is now worshiping you. A mere boring human.
So you decided to find your own way to protest, something he canât force you to do or make other people do for you.
Eat.
You sat at the large dining table, him on the long other side, watching as he ate, watching him with no love or adoration in your eyes. While he would hold the stars for you. Heâd bring them down for you if you asked.
âWell? Is it not to your liking?â You hear him slur from his side of the table.
âNo.â You know this is dangerous. The cruel king, he could have your head.
âWhatâs not to your liking? Iâll have it changed.â
You shove the plate away from you. âItâs all bad, I donât wanna eat.â
Maybe you shouldâve used different words, different wording to your protest because Sukuna simply didnât understand it was a form of protest.
âItâs that terrible? Very well. Servants, carry the chef who decided to cook my woman this rechid food and have him publicly executed.â
Your eyes widen with dismay and shock and you look at him. âWhat? Executed?â
âWhat? What did you expect, woman? Anyone who feeds my soon to be queen something not up to par, they shall be ridden with shame. With, or without their head.â
He says it with such a nonchalant attitude, as if he isnât talking about death.
âI-I no. Itâs not bad, actyally. Hah. I just meant.. I wasnât hungry.â You try to solve this mess you accidentally dragged others into.
âYour dramatic show of disgust was simply because you arenât⌠hungry?â
He looks at you almost confused, the big plates of foods surrounding him. He had a surplus of hunger, the kind of hunger only you can satisfy.
âI⌠I apologize.â You think about giving up on your plan, you donât want to drag people into this, have them hurt because of you. âI just.. actually prefer your food.â You lie.
âMy food?â He smirks. The maids and servants look around in fear, some even annoyance, expecting your head to fly off and blood to soil the floors after you basically asked to share food-his food, with you.
âVery well then. You may sit close and satisfy your belly with my food.â
He pats the seat close to him, different from the seat your sitting at now, far from Sukuna. Everyone stares at you with bewildered shock, that the cruel Sukuna is willingly sharing his meal with you, that he hasnât offed you or anyone else in his vicinity for your request.
You waddle over to him, sitting next to him, and he watches you try a piece of meat, lamb, off one of his large family plates, as if asking for your approval, to see if you like it.
You hum, the food is actually prepared amazingly well, a lot better then the streets of the poor sides of town you had to buy your meat from.
He nods at you, and continues to finish his meal as well, practically clawing and savagely ripping apart the food at his hands, like some animal.
Everyoneâs always been afraid of the way he eats, as if heâs ripping apart someoneâs flesh and bones, but to you itâs kind of pathetic. Like a little puppy and its chew toy, slobbering over its bone. Instead of saying this however (which heâd have your head for), you go for taking a small folded table cloth napkin and wipe the blood from the flesh of his food off his cheek, cleaning off the smeared gore that he doesnât seem to notice.
He looks down at you, huffing as a sign of appreciation at your small sign of affection, and you look back up at him with the same look.
You hate this cruel man, the man whoâs killed hundreds and hurt people and hurt you. Who stole you.
But as you look up at him, the folded napkin in your hand still poking at his dirtied cheek, you canât help but think that perhaps the cruel king and the prince in shining armor are the same person.
And thatâs Sukuna for yâall đđđĽ guys why did I accidentally make his fluffy what

Steve grabs the bag before Eddie can. âNo, Iâve got it.â
Eddie glances at the transparency of the plastic bag: the outline of his battle vest pokes through it, neatly folded.
He sidesteps the rest of the group as they troop out of the RV. Steveâs still standing his ground by the driverâs seat.
âUh, Steve, I can see whatâs in there. Thatâs mine.â
âYeah, butââ Steve huffs, still holding the bag tightly, and he almost seems⌠embarrassed. âLike, just. Donât look at it right now, Iâve got it. Iâm gonna dry clean it. Later, I mean.â
Eddie laughs. But Steve remains deadly serious.
âUh, thatâs nice and all, but I donât think dry cleaning gets out⌠um, blood andâŚâ Eddie pokes his head out the RV door, to where the kids are hauling weapons and tanks of lighter fluid with Robin and Nancyâa sight he steadfastly tries to ignore before he panics ad nauseamâand asks, âWhatâs your word for, uh, Upside Down related, uh, you knowââ
âSlime?â Lucas offers.
âSludge,â Erica corrects.
âGoop,â Max says decisively.
âShit,â Dustin says.
Eddie nods. âHelpful, thanks.â
He turns back. Heâd intended for all that to get Steve to crack a smile at least, but if anything, he looks worse; the expression on his face has shifted into evident guilt.
âSteve,â Eddie says, caught between being amused and⌠honestly, touched. âRelax. Itâs fine, man.â
Steve keeps frowning. âBut it wasââ
âânot important.â
Steve huffs again, like heâs saying donât lie.
Eddie changes tack. He hasnât missed the fact that Steveâs change of clothes from The War Zone means that, sure, less skinâs on show, which is probably better for Eddieâs heart but, more importantly, his bandages are âconvenientlyâ concealedâwhich is decidedly less good for Eddieâs heart, so maybe they both cancel each other out.
If ever there was the time for sincerityâŚ
âMaybe I care less about the damn vest, and more about the person wearing it.â
The pinch in Steveâs brow lessens. âOh,â he says, soft, and then a little of his usual bravado comes back when he asks, âyou sure?â
Eddie waggles a hand back and forth. âKinda. Itâs borderline.â
Steve chuckles. He puts the bag down on his seat, very carefully, as if itâs breakable, and Eddieâs heart does a little skip.
âWell. I still feel bad,â Steve insists. His toneâs light, but he fixes Eddie with a pointed look, donât test me on this, Munson, âcause my stubbornness will win.
âOkay,â Eddie concedes, hands up in surrender. âTell you what, Steve. What if I wore something of yours, to make it even?â
Steve wrinkles his nose, but heâs smiling. âWhat, and deliberately mess it up?â
Eddie nods gravely. âLike, itâs not quite Upside Down conditions, but whenever I cook, it gets pretty close.â
Steveâs smile grows. He makes a show of turning around in search of something.
âHuh, I mustâve forgot to pack my wardrobe.â
Eddie clicks his tongue in theatrical disapproval. âYeah, thatâs a pretty big oversight, dude, shouldâve thought it through.â
âGuess itâll have to wait for next time.â
And yeah, theyâre joking, but still. Eddie doesnât want to tempt fate.
âNext time? Nah, Iâm praying all this shit is a one time thing.â
âNo, I meantââ Steve hesitates, like heâs inadvertently stepped out of the joke, and he doesnât know where to go from here. âLike. Whenever you come round.â
âIs that an invitation?â Eddie says; he hopes the quip is enough to cover his surprise, the long-buried thoughtâridiculously high school, but true in spite of it: no-oneâs ever invited me toâŚ
Steve rolls his eyes good-naturedly. âOh, sorry, did you want it hand-written? The red carpet treatment?â
âWell, if youâre offeringâŚâ
âIâll go get my quill,â Steve deadpans.
Eddie laughs. Says, only partly kidding, âItâs just, Iâll need some time to think it over.â
âThe⌠invitation?â
âWhat item of clothing Iâm taking, duh.â
âRight, yeah,â Steve scoffs, âmajor decision.â
âIt is! You have whole ensembles, man.â
âEnsembles,â Steve echoes, but itâs got more of a French accent to it; Eddie suspects itâs a by-product of Steve helping Robin study, âcause she seems to be the only one whoâs a polyglot in their contingent. âGet out of town, Munson.â
âOh, like you donât know. I swear, in winter, thereâd be actual bets placed on what sweater you were gonna wear each day.â
âUh-huh.â
Eddie hams it up, âDidnât you wonder why so many girls were waiting to see you drive into school?â
âYouâre an idiot,â Steve says, and he waves Eddie aside, about to jump out of the RV. âLemme know when youâve made your selection.â
Eddie knows he should leave it there. Theyâve had their laughs, and itâs made to be forgotten about in the face of much more important things.
But thatâs always been his problem, really. He canât bite his tongue in time. He canât helpâ
âThe red one?â
Steve turns around, one foot off the step. âWhat?â
âThe, uhâŚâ Eddie clears his throat. Itâs either say nothing or go all in. Fuck it, the shireâs burning. âIâve decided what toâum. The red sweater?â Steve just keeps looking at him, so he adds, tentatively, âThe one youâd wear near winter break?â
Steve raises an eyebrow. âYeah, I know the one you mean.â He falters on the verge of speech, his lips twitching into a surprised little smile. He drawls, âYou sure you werenât placing those bets yourself, Munson?â, but it doesnât sound mean, and his ears suddenly look a little pink, and maybe, maybeâ
âNo comment,â Eddie says, aiming for comically flat, but Steveâs smile is contagious.
âOkay, itâs a deal.â Steve steps outsideâthrows over his shoulder, âItâs yours,â oddly sincere; and Eddie wonders if theyâve really been talking about clothes at all.

Today has been fucking shit Nothing is going right, nobody is agreeing on anything I just want to be home with you..
Each time you read over the text messages, your heart broke a bit. Chan was the guy who put is 100% into everything he does. Not only because he wants a solid end product, but because he cares. You adored how motivated and dedicated Chan was, especially when it comes to music. He's worked so hard to get to this point.
However, with that high level of dedication came intense frustration when things weren't going his way. You wanted to help him out as much as you could, but Chan sometimes forbid you from coming to the studio. It wasn't that he didn't want you there. You were always the first one to listen to the newest songs or projects. When they were almost finished, that is. If he was in the midst of the hurricane of creativity, he wanted to wait until he rode out the storm.
That left you with only one solution - prepare for Chan to arrive home. You had cleaned the living room, so it was a comfortable space for Chan the moment he walked in. You had his favorite sandalwood candle burning on the coffee table. In the kitchen, you were preparing his favorite meal. God bless his mom for sending you the recipe. You were certain he hadn't eaten since he stepped into the studio.
Chan was the type of guy that took care of everyone before himself. That's why he got so frustrated whenever he was falling short of his own expectations. The songs were pivotal for himself but also the success of his members. He also found himself getting agitated because he was spending more time away from you.
You rarely got the chance to spoil your boyfriend. He often was too insistent that he had to take care of you first, both in the bedroom and on a day-to-day basis. Tonight was going to be different.
Suddenly, you heard the front door of your shared apartment open and the sound of footsteps. You stirred the stew cooking in the pot once more before putting a lid on it, letting it simmer for a few moments. Your boyfriend needed you.
"Princess, I'm home," called out that familiar voice. "Coming!"
Your feet couldn't have carried you faster. You rushed towards the front of the apartment where you spotted your boyfriend. He was slipping off his leather jacket, hanging it up on the coat rack before slipping out of his shoes. He groaned in relief when his feet hit the soft carpet beneath him.
"Welcome home, handsome," you greeted. Chan smiled at the sound of your voice being closer than before. He looked exhausted from his somewhat slumped posture to the look in his eyes. You knew he was due for a good night's sleep, but not before you were attentive to his needs.
Once you were close to him, you snaked your arms around his torso. He pulled you in closer, arms flexed around your smaller frame and holding you close as possible. His face nuzzled into your hair. He loved the scent of your shampoo - coconut with a hint of vanilla. It comforted him. You felt his body somewhat relax just by the physical contact. You placed tiny kisses across the side of his face and jawline.
You knew better than to ask him about work. You already got enough information how work went from the texts exchanged between the two of you. Now that he was home, you wanted to help him forget about the day.
"My girl miss me as much as I missed her?" Chan hummed lightly. "Of course I did," you whispered.
You pulled back gently, just enough to be able to look up into his eyes. He smiled once he got a view of your entire face. Keeping one arm wrapped around you, his other hand reached down to tuck a few strands of your hair behind your ear. His hand then slid forward so he cupped your cheek. His touch was warm and comforting, causing you to naturally lean your face into his palm. He grinned at the gesture.
"Now, I have a few options for us tonight-" you began. "Sweetie, I appreciate the gesture, but I'm exhausted," Chan frowned.
He hated letting you down. You quickly shook your head which caused him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion. Just wait until he hears what you have in store for him.
"If you let me finished, I was going to say you can pick what we do," you explained. You kept one arm wrapped around his torso. Your free hand slipped forward to rest on his chest. You allowed your fingertips to run up and down gently, feeling just how toned your boyfriend was. Lord have mercy.
"So, I do have dinner on the stove. It is ready for you now or I can easily put it in the fridge for after," you giggled. "You could also go take off your shirt and let me give you a message, you can go take a shower, or we can go relax in bed for a while until you feel ready to eat. Anything can happen that you'd like, baby boy."
His eyes widened in surprise as his heart swelled with happiness. How did he get so lucky?
"As much as I love your cooking, my body aches. I was going to take a hot shower before we eat, but a massage sounds even better," he confessed. His hands ran up and down your sides affectionately, stopping at your hips. He gave a light squeeze before pulling you in closer. Chan's face moved closer to yours. There was something in his mind transpiring. "And how could I pass up the opportunity of having your hands all over me?" He asked, eyebrow raised but a smirk on his lips. His voice had dropped an octave which only accentuated his accent. It also made you want to drop on your knees for him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Candles were lit all around your bedroom, providing a warm glow to the room. Even under the dimmed lighting, Chan's skin still glowed. He had a playlist he created on Spotify for when the two of you would unwind at night. Currently, "I'm Probably Going To Rock Your World" by Logic was playing through the speakers.
You were straddling Chan's lower back. He was shirtless, muscles relaxed for the time being. His hands gently resting on the comforter beneath him. He always loved the feeling of your body on his. You were his anchor in this life. He would do everything and anything for you as you really go above and beyond for him.
"Just relax, baby," you whispered. "I've got you."
That's all that Chan needed to hear. He crossed his arms and let the left side of his face rest against them. From this position, he could still look back at you.
Your lips began to plant gentle kisses across his face. He had a wide grin on his lips, chuckling and blushing a bit. Chris was still getting used to the fact that you were willing to show him so much affection. He's never had a partner that seemed to be so prideful in being his. It made him all giggly. You smiled lightly against his skin as you pressed the tiny kisses which nearly killed him.
Sitting up slightly, your lips began to press into the back of his neck. They moved slowly to his shoulder blades. You've always been mesmerized by his shoulders, specifically their strength. In every sense, Chan was the strongest person you knew.
He was the leader of the group, he attended every meeting possible so the best decision was being made for the 7 members. He also constantly recorded every single that his mind came up with, most of the time for the others. He always put the 7 boys first before himself.
You also were attracted to his physical strength. You could watch the way his muscles flexed whenever he had to lift, pull, push, or do anything. You wanted to run your hands over every ridge formed, kiss every dimple. How did you get so lucky to have him all to yourself? Reaching beside you, you squirted a bit of lotion into your hands. Gently rubbing them together, just so the lotion spreads over your hands. Your hands got to work at easing his tense muscles. He groaned in bliss at the feeling of your hands against his skin. You felt your stomach tingle at the sound.
You focused on his back muscles first. Your fingertips pressed into his skin, rolling it gently. He hummed at the feeling, shutting his eyes. One of his hands though moved from underneath his head. It moved slowly to rest against your outer thigh.
There was no denying that you loved having Chan's attention. He was a very busy man. You were grateful to be a part of his world, but you loved the moments when nothing else mattered besides you. And to Chan, you were his everything. He was unafraid to show you that. "I'm sorry, sweet girl, that I've been away for a while. I cannot imagine how lonely the nights must've been."
With dance rehearsals, award shows, and promotions, you and Chan have rarely gotten time to just be with each other. Of course, you were incredibly proud to be able to witness firsthand all his hard work paying off. You just couldn't fight that you secretly wished he would be home more rather than seeing each other right when you wake up and right when you fall asleep. "Yet, here you are. Taking care of me?" Chan's hand ran up and down your bare thigh. His fingers ran along the skin, causing goosebumps to rise. He couldn't help but smirk knowing the effect he has on you. "Well, you're the one who had a bad day, baby," you rationalized. "Hmm, I did but you're always going above and beyond for me. I think it's time I return the favor." You didn't get the chance to argue with Chan. Before you knew it, Chan was sitting up. He placed both of his hands on your thighs to ease you onto the bed, so your back hit the comforter. He maneuvered himself so he however above you.
His hands left your thighs, so they could explore the rest of your body. He looked at you with love, with admiration, with lust. One hand rested on your side, caressing your stomach affectionately. The other hand was holding himself up as he leaned over you. "Much better, don't you think?" He winked.
The hand on your stomach slowly moved up underneath your shirt. He moved it slowly, wanting you to feel every ridge of his fingerprint on your skin. His hand slowly moved up and he cupped your left breast. He squeezed it gently, feeling the soft lace under his touch. Lace was always his kryptonite. "Why don't you take it off for me, darling? Hmm? Show me what belongs to me." You didn't have to be told twice. You first slipped off the oversized black shirt off your torso, the one you stole from his closet. The sleeves reached your elbows and came down to your thighs. You tossed the shirt onto the floor, exposing your white lace bra and panties to Chan. He nearly lost it.
"Like what you see?" You giggled.
When the two of you first together, you were a bit on the self-conscious side. You had a string of boyfriends who left more damage than love which made you cautious. Chan was quick to make work on dissolving any self-doubt you had about yourself. He loved watching your confidence grow because it meant that you were seeing yourself as he saw you. You were the whole universe in his eyes. "Baby girl, I fucking love it," he groaned under his breath. "And wearing all white? Really trying to be a good girl or the angel of death because you're going to kill me."
You couldn't help but giggle at his dramatics. One hand moved up to run through his hair, gripping it slightly. His jaw clenched as he could feel the lust storming inside of him. Yet, he wanted to keep his composure. He didn't want to go all in unless you gave him the green light. "You know I love you, right?" He murmured. He leaned down to press kisses into your jawline, moving down towards your neck. His lips worked rather quick. He made light nips into your skin, causing you to cling more to him. "But you want to ruin me?" You whispered into his ear.
You were quick to connect the dots. You could tell by the look in his eyes that there was something on his mind. And while you loved making love to your boyfriend, you both were craving each other. You had nowhere else to be but with each other. Your tone was light and seductive. It caused Chan's mind to become fuzzy as all he could think about was slamming his cock in your pussy. He craved your warm, wet, tight pussy as you screamed his name. The only name that could leave your mouth for the rest of your days. His inner thoughts revealed themselves as you could feel his boner pressing against your inner thigh.
"You read my fucking mind, darling." "Then what are you waiting for? Ruin my pussy for anyone else."
There it is. The green light.
He slowly sat up, looking down at you. You swore you'd never seen a more beautiful sight. And he was all yours. You smiled at him gently, showing him you were ready for everything that he was ready to give you.
The mood in the room shifted. Nothing prepared you for Chan gripping the lace of your panties and ripping them off your hips. You gasped in surprised, staring up at him with wide eyes. You always knew Chan was strong, but god damn. He could go through your whole underwear drawer if he wanted to because that was the hottest thing you've ever witnessed.
His ego boosted seeing as how your legs immediately opened for him. You have always been so responsive to him.
"My girl has been so patient for me, waiting every night for me to come home," he hummed. "Been craving this dick for so long, haven't you?" "I've missed your cock so much, daddy. Nothing can replace you." "You haven't been playing with yourself while I've been away then?" His eyebrow was raised. Oh fuck.
"Because don't think I didn't notice the pink vibrator you tucked underneath your pillow the other night. I know I never gave you permission because you never asked. What is one of daddy's rules?"
You wanted the bed to swallow you whole. You did your best to keep yourself occupied. Chan always appreciated his good girl. You would text him, saying how needy you were for his touch. The past few days of been silent on your end when it came to the topic. He figured you were just busy. "Well?" His tone now an octave lower. It accentuated his Australian accent, making your pussy become wetter in an instant. "Answer me." "To always ask daddy for permission before pleasing myself." "Very good. Daddy just likes to make sure his girl is being taken care of. I don't like lying." Before you could rush out apologizes to your significant other, his fingers smacked against your clit. The slap caused your legs to jolt a bit, pleasure running up your spin. "I really should punish you tonight." His words contradicted his actions. At first, his fingers gently rubbed small circles into your clit to ease the ache. Then, he moved his fingers to run up and down his slit. He smirked with satisfaction feeling already how wet you were for him. "But you went through so much trouble for me. It's as if you knew you got caught and were already trying to make up for it."
Your mind was a bit fuzzy already with the lust taking over. It's been weeks without the two of you being able to be intimate. There really wasn't anything that Ould replace how Chan makes you feel. You just needed something to hold you over, but you weren't able to risk saying that. You weren't in the mood for teasing. If being compliant got you what you desired most which was Chan stretching you out with his thick dick, you'd do whatever it took. "I'm sorry, daddy," you whimpered.
He smiled down at you gently before placing a lingering kiss on your forehead. You fluttered your eyes at the gesture but soon shot them up at the feeling of Chan's two fingers entering your pussy. He moved his forehead against yours, wanting to see your reaction.
His fingers already reached places your own could never. He made quick work to scissor his fingers. Chan always took pride in providing for you, in taking care of you. Foreplay and making sure you were properly ready, both physically but also emotionally and mentally were top priority for him. Skipping this step was a non-negotiable. "Oh, I know you are, baby girl. I know you can only be so patient for so long. I'm honestly impressed with how long you went before breaking." He didn't need to know just how many times you broke that rule. Not yet at least.
Your grip tightened on his hair as he curled his fingers in your pussy. The walls of your pussy were already clenching on his fingers, nearly making Chan roll his eyes back into his head. His fingers moved with urgency into you, his thumb moving to circle your clit. You cried out both in relief and pleasure at the feeling.
"My girl has really missed me."
All you could do was nod your head. You normally aren't the type to get this worked up over fingering, but given the circumstances and given that it was Chan - there was no surprise. You felt your clit throb from the stimulation and your legs twitch, your stomach growing warmer and tighter.
Not yet though. Chan wanted to experience that level of euphoria inside of you. Sure, he loved knowing that he could make you cum with just his fingers. He loved seeing that he was the one that made you see the stars.
Right now, with his cock throbbing inside his shorts, he needed to be inside of you. He wanted your pussy to squeeze his cock.
Just as you were about to warn close of your approaching high, he pulled his fingers out of you. He chuckled at your shocked state. You were so close. The lose of contact caused you to whimper. He almost felt bad. Almost.
He winked at you before sticking his two fingers in his mouth. He hummed loudly, loving the taste of you. It was his favorite thing in the world. He maintained eye contact with you, wanting you to know how attracted he was to you. He would do everything to make sure you never questioned his attraction to you.
Pop.
His fingers were pulled out of his mouth. The sound of their removal bouncing off the walls. "Sweet like honey."
Chan slowly sat up on his knees to pull his shorts. You both were grateful for your lack of clothing. it meant you two could get to each other sooner. He kicked them off, so they joined the shirts discarded on the floor. His cock slapped up against his stomach, the tip red with anger at being restrained for so long.
He was a work of art.
"No boxers, baby?" you giggled. "No, I knew I'd come up and fuck you the moment I left this morning."
You don't know what you did in your previous lives to be grated with being Chan's lover, but you were forever grateful.
Wasting no more time, Chan slid in between your legs. He placed one hand by your head. You tilted your head over to place a delicate kiss to Chan's wrist. You couldn't help yourself.
Even though it was rather intense in the room, that didn't mean you wouldn't let an opportunity pass by the show Chan how much he meant to you. He never crumbled at the gesture but quickly regained his composure.
With his free hand on your side, his knee pushed your thigh further apart. Just enough so he could slid in and place the head of your cock at your entrance. You moaned softly at the feeling. So close.
"Your pussy is mine, got it?"
You didn't even get to nod before Chan slammed into you. You moaned loudly at the feeling. His cock stretched you out, even after he fingered you properly. He groaned as your walls welcomed his cock, gripping already from how worked up and desperate you are. He rolled his head back. "So fucking gorgeous, babe. Fuck," he murmured before his hips began a brutal pace.
There was no time to hold back. You and Chan have gone far too long without being so intimate, all of it was being laid out. His hand gripped your side as his hips began to ram into you in a rhythm. The way he filled you up made you delirious.
His eyes never left you. He loved watching you fall apart in front of him. The grip you had on his bicep further encouraged him to give you everything he had.
The sound of wet skin slapping made him feral. He watched as your eyes rolled back, your cheeks a light pink color. Your lips were slightly parted as you moaned without any control. "That's it, darling. I know it feels good. Let everyone know how good it feels."
You moaned his name loudly. You're let one leg hook around his hip, keeping him close. In some ways, this is everything you wanted. You wanted him to just fuck you. Nothing more, nothing less. On the other hand, you craved just feeling him close to you. You craved his body heat.
This was all he wanted too. He wanted you all to himself, he wanted to be vulnerable and intimate with you. Having sex was just a bonus.
Given that Chan had teased you prior, it didn't take long for you to feel that familiar feeling return. Your back arched slightly as Chan made sure to angle his hips, wanting his cock to press against your g-spot and also make sure all of him was inside. You needed to feel every inch of him.
"C-Chan, I'm already close. I-I'm sorry, I can hold off and wait for you."
Your words were rushed. You felt guilty that tonight had become all about you, but honestly, this was Chan's perfect night. He smiled sickeningly sweet at you. Even with his cock filling you to the brim, you were the sweetest person. You were looking after him still even though he wanted nothing more than to cater to your desires.
"I know, darling. Don't apologize. Just let yourself go."
Your mind hesitated for a second. However, your body had other intentions. With one powerful thrust into your pussy, you came undone. You cried out in pleasure as your vision became white. Your toes curled slightly against the comforter. Chan admired for a moment the way your body shook.
That was all it took for Chan. He came just at the sight of you reaching your orgasm. He was satisfied seeing the sheen layer of sweat that coated your face and neck. He was over the moon the way your body trembled as you came down from your high. Your pussy walls was spasming against his cock
He groaned loudly as he came into your pussy. Hot spurts of his semen filled you deliciously. You could melt into the bed with all the love surrounding you.
Slowly, Chan pulled out of you. He felt his cock twitch slightly at the sight his cum seeping out of your pussy. You attempted to close your legs, but his hands stopped you. He wanted to take a second to admire his work.
Your chest was still rising and falling, but you were trying to come down quickly to rejoin him back in reality. Chan chuckled lightly underneath his breath before leaning down, licking a long strip to collect all the cum leaving your pussy.
You could die from the sight in between your legs. Sensing your eyes on him, Chan looked up. He winked at you before swallowing his cum. Lord have mercy.
Chan kissed your inner thigh before sitting up, allowing you to close your legs. He kissed up your stomach, in between your breasts, your neck. The kisses were cool yet set your skin ablaze. Your arms wrapped around his neck once he got closer to you.
The two of you were smiling wide, eyes disappearing and cheeks aching. Yet, neither of you could care. All the lonely nights were worth it for this one singular moment. And surely, there would be more moments like tonight to come. Your fingers played with the hair on the back of Chan's neck which made him chuckle, finding it both ticklish and enduring.
Soon, his lips moved to hover over your ear. His breath was warm as it hit the shell of your ear, causing you to shiver. Your heart raced with anticipation. What else did he have up his sleeve? "I hope you enjoyed your last orgasm from me for a little bit. Bad girls still get punished, no matter how good they try to be."

Any tips on how to describe indoor spaces so they feel real and match the vibe of the story without throwing in too much detail?
Getting interior scenes just right is all about finding the balance between setting the mood, showing the unique personality of your story world, and keeping the plot moving. There are lots of ways you can use senses, action, and background to set a scene, all of which can work seamlessly with the type of story you want to tell. Here are some tips on how you can achieve that:
How does it look?
Lighting: does your space contain the soft glow of lamps, harsh fluorescent lights, or natural light?
Use colour and textures like peeling paint, plush velvet, or sleek marble.
Size and scale: is it claustrophobically small or impressively grand?
Architectural features: does the space have high ceilings, crown mouldings, or exposed beams?
Furnishings: are they modern, sparse, antique, or cluttered?
Style and decor: what style is represented, and how does it affect the atmosphere?
State of repair: is the space well-kept, neglected, or under renovation?
Perspective and layout: how do spaces flow into each other?
Unique design features: describe sculptural elements, or things that stand out.
Spatial relationships: describe how objects are arrangedâwhatâs next to, across from, or underneath something else?
How does it sound?
Describe echoes in large spaces or the muffled quality of sound in carpeted or furnished rooms.
Note background noises; is there a persistent hum of an air conditioner, or the tick of a clock?
Describe the sound of footsteps; do they click, scuff, or are they inaudible?
Include voices; are they loud and echoing or soft and absorbed?
Is there music? Is it piped in, coming from a live source, or perhaps drifting in from outside?
Capture the sounds of activity; typing, machinery, kitchen noises, etc.
Describe natural sounds; birds outside the window, or the rustle of trees.
Consider sound dynamics; is the space acoustically lively or deadened?
Include unexpected noises that might be unique to the building.
Consider silence as a sound quality. What does the absence of noise convey?
How does it smell?
Identify cleaning products or air fresheners. Do they create a sterile or inviting smell?
Describe cooking smells if near a kitchen; can you identify specific foods?
Mention natural scents; does the room smell of wood, plants, or stone?
Are there musty or stale smells in less ventilated spaces?
Note the smell of new materials; fresh paint, new carpet, or upholstery.
Point out if thereâs an absence of smell, which can be as notable as a powerful scent.
Consider personal scents; perfume, sweat, or the hint of someoneâs presence.
Include scents from outside that find their way in; ocean air, city smells, etc.
Use metaphors and similes to relate unfamiliar smells to common experiences.
Describe intensity and layering of scents; is there a primary scent supported by subtler ones?
What can you do there?
Describe peopleâs actions; are they relaxing, working, hurried, or leisurely?
Does the space have a traditional use? What do people come there to do?
Note mechanical activity; elevators moving, printers printing, etc.
Include interactions; are people talking, arguing, or collaborating?
Mention solitary activities; someone reading, writing, or involved in a hobby.
Capture movements; are there servers bustling about, or a janitor sweeping?
Observe routines and rituals; opening blinds in the morning, locking doors at night.
Include energetic activities; perhaps children playing or a bustling trade floor.
Note restful moments; spaces where people come to unwind or reflect.
Describe cultural or community activities that might be unique to the space.
How is it decorated?
Describe the overall style; is it minimalist, baroque, industrial, or something else?
Note period influences; does the decor reflect a specific era or design movement?
Include colour schemes and how they play with or against each other.
Mention patterns; on wallpaper, upholstery, or tiles.
Describe textural contrasts; rough against smooth, shiny against matte.
Observe symmetry or asymmetry in design.
Note the presence of signature pieces; a chandelier, an antique desk, or a modern art installation.
Mention thematic elements; nautical, floral, astronomical, etc.
Describe homemade or bespoke items that add character.
Include repetitive elements; motifs that appear throughout the space.
What is its history?
Mention historical usage; was the building repurposed, and does it keep its original function?
Describe architectural time periods; identify features that pinpoint the era of construction.
Note changes over time; upgrades, downgrades, or restorations.
Include historical events that took place within or affected the building.
Mention local or regional history that influenced the buildingâs design or function.
Describe preservation efforts; are there plaques, restored areas, or visible signs of aging?
Describing indoor spaces doesnât have to feel like a chore. Focus on the details that matter most, tie them to the mood or characters, and let your readers fill in the blanks. A well-crafted space not only sets the scene but builds your character's relationship to it. Use sensory language, background, and action beats to tie it into your narrative, and donât be afraid to play around with motifs and contradictions, depending on who is experiencing it!

So: You have depression.
I'm 27 now. The last time I had a major depressive episode was when I was 16. I still have depressive episodes every now and then, but the worst tend to be a month, and most I can generally get through them in about a week. It took me a while to kind of figure out how to handle depression as a recurring thing, and so I thought I'd make a little welp-I-got-diagnosed-now-what guide.
So, first part of the guide: When I first got depressed, I thought that depression was the terrible, sad hopeless feeling that I had. It isn't. That terrible sad hopeless feeling is a symptom of prolonged depression. By the time I get to that point, I'm pretty well cooked and it takes a lot longer to bounce back. Avoiding getting to that point is a vital part of living with depression.
So what does depression feel like?
I am going to hammer this point home a lot of times while writing this: Depression is an anesthetic. It is not felt as a presence, but as an absence. The first absence, for me at least, is when life stops being fun. Every movie feels boring, I can't get more than a few pages into any book, and everything just seems... bland.
This is the best point to catch it at. I have found that consumptive patterns of entertainment do not do anything to help depression. Some people have told me that producing art at this time really helps them, but personally, I can't imagine trying. Instead, I just do tasks that I know inspire physical satisfaction. Which sounds like jerking off (I don't actually reccomend that route) but really means things like: Going for a walk in the sunshine. Working out. Cleaning the house in a fairly exhaustive way. Scrub the baseboards, wash the sink, clear the fridge, etc.
I recognize that doing those is really, really hard while depressed because depression causes physical weakness and exhaustion. The best I can do is, unfortunately, encourage vigillance. If you suspect you're getting into a funk, start on this before you get really deep into the mire. People that get into the mire can get out, but it's not self-help read-a-book type shit, it takes therapy and medication and patience and it is so much easier and cheaper and faster to just avoid letting it get that bad then crawling out once it's sunk its teeth into you.
I have found that for things that work almost by exposure alone, spending time in the sun and talking to people are borderline magical, with the caveat that talking to people about being depressed tends to make things worse instead of better. Talking about anything that cuts through the anesthetic of depression is ideal, or if it's sunk in deep enough that you're having trouble finding anything, talking to someone else about what they're passionate about. Ideally, you'd find someone passionate about a thing you know you're passionate about but are struggling to enjoy right then, and then you'd just let your mirror neurons run amok. Bonus Points
So, you're already depressed. Like, pretty fucking depressed, and you fucked up, and you let it slide. What then?
This is my I-Fucked-Up-And-Got-Big-Sad, Salvage-My-Weekend, depression routine. You'll need to make one for yourself at some point, and yours will work better for you, but this is mine and I think it'll work okay-ish for you. Until you get your own, at least.
I have to get up before 10 am. Staying in bed later than that gives the depression such a huge head start on my day that I just basically can't catch up. If I can't just brute force get myself out of bed, I will throw my blankets and sit cold on my sheets until that gives me the motivation I need. If I cannot work up the guts to throw my blankets, I will actually roll off the bed, flop gracelessly onto the floor, and then stare wistfully up until I can will myself to stand. It helps that every bedroom I've had either had freezing cold tile, or itchy coarse carpet. If you have a comfy floor, maybe buy a very scratchy rug? I cannot emphasize how important this step is. It's like, half of the whole thing.
After getting up, immediately go outside and sit in the sunshine. This provides free executive function, and getting it ASAP will make everything go much smoother.
Talk to someone while outside. If you have a roommate, they work great. Face to face conversations tend to be the best, but phone calls with loved ones are like at least 80% as effective. Calls to family members tend to be better than in face conversations with acquaintances or people you're mostly ambivalent about. Don't do chat messages. Worse than nothing.
This should have scrounged up enough free energy that you can clean something. I always start by trying to clear a part of my counter off. If that's all I got, that's all I got, and I still feel good about it. If that inspires me to do more, I'll run with it until a whole room is up to snuff. I don't do more than one room while I'm this crispy: The goal is not really to clean the house, but to work through a series of tasks that require some initial level of executive function but provide a larger amount back once completed. Life has a lot of these deals that are like, give me $10 and I'll give you $12, give me $12 and I'll give you $20, on and on, and the hard part is really just getting the $10. Some people wake up with $10. Most days, you will wake up with $10. But not when you're like this. You're gonna have to earn it. I'm sorry.
I am going to reiterate: This is what I do when I feel a funk coming on. My life and my schedule are not always this regimented. Living with depression doesn't mean never sleeping until 10, or having a weekend where you don't talk to someone, or take a break from cleaning. Living with depression just means never, ever, leaning into the depression when you feel it coming on. Even when it starts out feeling cozy. Even when you want to just snuggle into it and sleep and sleep and sleep. The first day or two will feel luxurious, and the next week will feel terrible, and the longer you wait the harder it will be to get out. You are always going to have to worry about that. Again, I'm really, truly sorry.
Bonus Bonus Points
I am not a psychologist, but I do have a theory about why depression exists. Remember how I said it's anesthetizing? I think that's what it's there for - getting rid of emotional pain when it isn't being helpful. People often get depressed after a major injury. Boredom is normally nature's way of punishing you for just curling up and doing nothing, but depression can be the emergency override on boredom. It makes sense for you to sit still and do nothing while your body is healing, so maybe nature temporarily removes all your motivation with depression and then just lets you be a limp noodle until you're healthy again. Maybe?
Back to the emotional level, though, depression might also be a way to muffle pains that would otherwise be so intense that people might not remain in control of the faculties. The pain of losing a parent is notorious for driving people so mad with pain that they ruin their lives, but depression is there to at least try and keep us sedated until the nadir has passed.
It is helpful to know what the purpose of depression is, because you will eventually get it from an "intended" cause, and reflexively fighting it then probably isn't good for you. And at the very least, knowing why this stupid thing exists makes the world feel like less of a cruel place.
There are a lot of interesting studies on the physical effects of depression - things like muscle weakness, increased pain tolerance, muscle relaxation, etc. that I won't go into, but it does so many things at once that it almost doesn't feel like a fuck up, but a feature that we just kind of lost the plot on. Not gonna deep dive on it, but it is something that probably shouldn't be confined to just a mental disorder.
#mental health#depression#an essay I guess?#almost more of a letter to 16 year old me#but I hope this helps someone else#I don't think there's anything really trigger-worthy in here besides mentions of depression itself?#Babylon-Lore#Babylon-TopPick

Pairing : Dad!Hwang Hyunjin x F!Reader TW : the child is already born, she's around a year and a half ; reader is extremely stressed ; angsty ; Word Count : 2.8k Request : I actually do think I have a request for angsty dad Hyunjin, plus it won the poll so... YES! A/N : I know that the other angsty dad ones kind of started with reader being pregnant, but I wanted to switch things up because I don't want to keep repeating the same storyline over and over again... Hope that's okay! Also, this was left on a verrrry open cliffhanger. And yes, there will definitely be a part 2!
It was hard being a mother. The pains of pregnancy, labor, and the healing process afterwards, it was just hard. You had signed up for it though, and it had been rewarding once you had been able to hold your little girl in your arms for the first time. Watching her grow into the adorable little infant that she was now, it made all the pain and hardships worth it. She was the greatest gift.Â
It was a struggle though to be the mother to the daughter of a k-pop idol, especially when that idol had so proudly posted about her from the moment she was born. It wouldnât have been a problem if he stuck around more, but with him having to work and never really being at home, it was a hassle even getting out of the house some days. You felt stuck, you felt trapped, and he just got to continue living his famous life as if nothing were going on at all.Â
It was a slap in the face to see him get to live a life of luxury, going out to parties and being able to go out to eat with the guys. His life didnât get put on hold, he got to continue living as if he didnât have a daughter at home, as if you werenât at home trying to hold everything together. Youâd see him walk down red carpets with camera lights flashing in his face as he smiled and waved, all while you stayed home with your daughter on your hip as you tried to cook dinner for yourself and feed your daughter and make sure that the laundry was done.Â
Maybe it wouldnât bother you so much if he even took the time to call you when he had a break, but he didnât even do that. Itâs like you and your daughter didnât exist when he was out, it truly felt that way, and it was heartbreaking. Hyunjin was the love of your life, he was the father of your child. When he and you first got together, you couldnât imagine spending the rest of your life with anyone but him. Heâd call you constantly, heâd send you pictures, heâd video call you, heâd do anything to make you feel like you were a part of his little world even though you couldnât be there. When your daughter came along he kept up the act, at least for the first 5 months. It didnât even gradually stop either, it was like you had hit a brick wall, he just stopped completely. Youâd bring it up to him and heâd make excuses of being busy and not having the time to really call or text you. It was always the same thing over and over and over again. You dealt with it for 13 months now, almost an entire year of being ignored and being treated like nothing more than his babyâs mother, not the mother of his child.Â
How long were you expected to put up with it? How long did he expect you to put up with it? When he came home it felt more like he was just doing a routine visitation for his daughter, itâs like you werenât even together at this point. Heâd wrap one arm around you, giving you a little side hug and kissing the top of your head before focusing maybe an hour of attention on your daughter (if she was lucky), before saying that he had to leave again.Â
He was too famous for this life, and while most women would say that they were going to do their man a favor and leave, you knew that you had done enough favors for him. You were raising his daughter with no help. You kept his house clean, you were there for him if and when he needed you, you were everything that he could have ever wanted you to be⌠But he was nothing for you. He had simply become your daughter's father, and that was all. You were tired of doing it by yourself and thinking that maybe one day heâd come around. It was obvious that day would never come. It was time for you to do yourself a favor. If you were going to live the life of a single mother, you might as well be one.Â
âAre you excited to go home and see Y/N and the baby?â Felix asked as he and Hyunjin made their way off the plane, dodging the grabbing hands of fans with the help of the security team that ushered them through the airport. Flashing lights blinded their peripheral vision, and they both stayed focused on the light of day on the other side of the exit door in front of them.Â
âOf course I am!â Hyunjin exclaimed, his smile growing wider as he thought about finally being able to see you and his daughter again. âI miss them so much⌠I just feel like every time I do get to see them I have to leave immediately. I know itâs not fair⌠Sheâs doing it all by herself. Sheâs like⌠Sheâs like a super mom, you know?â He rambled adoringly about you, his eyes practically shooting hearts whenever he spoke about you or even thought about you. âWhenever I get time off from the group I have to do a promotion for something else and⌠I just feel like Iâm missing everything. I feel like the worst dad⌠The worst boyfriendâŚâÂ
âIâm sure Y/N understands. I mean⌠Youâve been keeping in touch with her, right?â Felix asked, looking up at Hyunjin who looked far more shameful now as his head dropped. âYou⌠You have been talking to her, havenât you? I mean⌠Weâve been gone for almost a whole month⌠Itâs not like you havenât talked to her for a whole month⌠Right?!â Felixs voice raised an octave with each repetition of the question.Â
âIâve been busy and⌠I know that she gets busy too⌠And time zones are confusing so I donât know when she gets the baby to sleep for naps or when sheâs sleeping⌠I just⌠And I lose track of time and Iâm just so busyâŚâ Hyunjin tried to explain, but Felix was left slack jawed and shocked at the seeming lack of both responsibility and empathy for the fact that he hadnât been in contact with you for an entire month. âDonât look at me like that⌠Iâm sure sheâll understand!â Hyunjin whined, climbing into the back seat of the car that was waiting for him and Felix.Â
âDo you⌠Do you do this every time youâre gone? I mean⌠Iâm not trying to get in the middle but⌠I just know that if I had a girlfriend and a child back at home when Iâm out⌠Iâd be on the phone constantly with her⌠Like⌠I donât understand how you could just go an entire month without talking to your girlfriend or even checking up on her and your kidâŚâ Felix ranted, not even trying to come down on Hyunjin, but thatâs the way it felt.Â
âY/N is different⌠She doesnât need constant attention. She understands that Iâm busy, that I canât be on the phone all the time, that I canât always be homeâŚâ Hyunjin mumbled, running his hand through his hair as he let out a heavy sigh. âLook, I donât want to be stressed out before I see her and the baby. Letâs just not talk about this, okay?âÂ
Felix rolled his eyes, but kept his mouth shut. Felix was more realistic, that, and the fact that he had met you multiple times. He knew how you were, and while it was obvious that you loved Hyunjin and you werenât exactly clingy, he knew that you werenât the type of person to just sit idly by waiting for Hyunjin to realize that he had more priorities than just being an idol and a spokesperson. Sadly, Hyunjin didnât see that, and Felix feared that at some point itâll be too late for his hyung⌠He just didnât know how soon that time was.Â
âBaby, Iâm home!â Hyunjin called out as he walked through the front door. It was nice, it felt good to finally be home. There was a stillness in the air, and while it felt strange, there were still toys in the home that belonged to his daughter and nothing seemed out of place⌠At least not in the living area. You must have just gone out to the store or went to visit your friends or something.Â
The kitchen was empty, there were no dishes in the sink, and while that wasnât out of the norm in any way, the thin layer of dust that lined the counter tops was weird. It was like the kitchen hadnât been used in a week or two, and now Hyunjin was beginning to panic as he set down his bag on the dusty countertop and made his way into the nursery.Â
âHoney?â Hyunjin called out again, almost desperately now as he walked further into the room. The furniture was all still there, but much like the kitchen counter, it too had begun to form dust on the flat surfaces. Did something happen while he was away? It didnât look that way, at least not in the apartment. Some things were missing though⌠The picture of the day that his daughter was born had been taken off the little dresser, and now that he was really focusing on everything, he could see that certain spaces in the closet were empty where clothes had once been hanging.Â
He didnât want to believe the thoughts that were going through his mind right now. He wanted to believe that there was another reason for the missing items, maybe they were just hanging in the shared closet in your bedroom. Maybe thatâs where everything was. In the back of his mind he knew that he was wrong, but he just didnât want to let go of that little thread of hope that he might be right, so he went to the bedroom and pushed open the door.Â
The bed had been neatly made, and in the center of it sat a little note, one that he refused to read right now. Instead, he went straight to the closet, throwing it open to see that it had been emptied almost completely and the suitcases that had been stored off to the side were now gone. It was obvious what was going on, and while he didnât want to read the note because he was sure that it would only validate what he knew to be true, he felt like he had to read it.Â
With wobbly legs and tear filled eyes, he made his way over to the bed and shakily picked up the note. He could barely even make out the words through his tears, but he tried to, his voice raspy as he whispered out the words that were neatly written on the paper.Â
âHyunjin,Â
I love you, I truly do.. Or, I did. I donât know how I feel now. Well, I know how I FEEL in general⌠Empty, stressed, lonely, depressed⌠I just donât know how I feel about YOU. I used to think about you and Iâd get butterflies and I felt fuzzy and warm and I KNEW that that meant I loved you⌠Now when I think about you, I can only feel anger⌠And the only reason that I THINK I even feel a LITTLE bit of love towards you is because you ARE the father of my child and she is beginning to look like you, and maybe itâs because of that and because I love HER so much that I feel even an inkling of love for you.Â
Either way, I canât keep living like this. Iâm alone in this house, YOUR house that was supposed to be OUR home for OUR family⌠But everything has fallen on me. While you get to go out and have fun with all your famous friends and go to all your famous people parties, Iâm stuck at home being a mother to OUR child, and being a maid in YOUR house. I have been doing EVERYTHING on my own, I have become a single mother while still dealing with the inconvenience of having YOUR child because I canât even take her out into the world without being bombarded by YOUR fans and youâre not even here to help.Â
I have supported you, I have loved you, I gave you a child⌠And all I wanted was just a little bit of support from you, I wanted to feel loved by you⌠But after 13 MONTHS of being left alone with only short visits from you when you find the time to come see us⌠Iâve come to realize that youâre unable to love anyone BUT yourself. Iâd say that Iâm tired of fighting for myself and our daughter to be a priority to you, but youâre not even around long enough for me to try to fight for that spot.Â
Your life is far too busy, and while I understand your line of work, Iâll never understand why youâd give me this false sense of hope that I and our daughter would ever be important to you. I donât know why youâd even take the risk of getting me pregnant, and while I love our daughter with my entire heart and every ounce of my being, I cannot for the life of me understand why youâd want to have a child and pretend to be excited when you KNEW youâd never be around for her OR me.Â
So, Iâm done⌠Iâve gone home to be with my family and Iâve taken the baby with me. Of course, I wonât keep her from you, although youâve kept yourself from her for a majority of her life. I donât think itâll make much of a difference that Iâm in America now considering you only really come to visit us once a month for an hour, so it really wonât be much different from how it was before. I guess youâll be able to visit her when youâre doing one of your many tours that kept you away from us in general.Â
There is a time difference, so, when you do get this note, keep in mind that myself and the baby and the rest of my family might be sleeping if you decide to text or call me⌠Which in itself would be ironic considering you didnât even do that when we were together.Â
Anyway, thatâs all. Thank you for giving me a beautiful baby girl, and thank you for the two and a half years of happiness that you did give me⌠But, I canât keep living like this. Goodbye.â
Just like that, you were gone⌠Not just you, but his daughter as well. You both were gone, and it wasnât as easy as going down the street or something to talk to you⌠You had gone all the way to America to be with your family⌠And it would be almost impossible for him to get cleared by management to just hop on the next plane to go see you and talk to you. He wanted to call you, he wanted to beg you to come back home, to bring the baby back home⌠But even if the time difference wasnât a factor in him not calling you right now, your emotions and everything that you were feeling had been written out for him in black and white.Â
He didnât know the first thing that heâd say to you when he called you, and he knew that he couldnât just beg⌠And while he understood what you had said in the note, he never thought that youâd feel that way. He had assumed that he was doing the right thing⌠But he wasnât⌠And now you and his daughter, his family, you were both gone, on the opposite side of the world, in a different time zone⌠He could do nothingâŚÂ
And now that he had the time and the unbearable silence to really think, to let his thoughts go wild⌠Not being able to do anything right now is no different than what was done before. He had gone entire months without talking to or seeing you and his daughter when he was on the other side of the world⌠He had no problem with it before. Now it was you who was gone, and you werenât messaging him⌠The only difference is that he didnât know if you were coming back, and right now⌠It felt like you never were.Â

Catboys x GN!Reader - NSFW
Asks and Suggestions are open and encouraged!
Warnings: sexual content, animal-human hybrids (Dangerously furry but not quite there yet.), MINORS LEAVE OR FACE MY WRATH.
Sebastian and Cory are both male cat-human hybrids. Cory is the taller of the two, standing at 5â10â and Sebastian at 5â8â, heâs also far more⌠affectionate.
Sebastian and Cory are childhood friends, growing up next door from each other, practically living at each others houses. Sebastian is the dark, broody type, so much so that the only one that can read him is Cory! Speaking of which, Cory is the total opposite.
Heâs the happy, social butterfly, always finding something to purr about. Or someone.
You met Cory during one of your college classes. He and Sebastian were taking different courses so he was moping looking for someone to sit with when he saw you.
He immediately started chatting you up, his ears perky and his tail swishing behind him as he talked your ear off about the class. Despite coming off as air headed, he was very helpful and even offered to buy you coffee after school so you could study. Thatâs when you met his best friend, Sebastian.
Sebastian wasnât too excited to meet you, keeping a sour expression on his face the entire time. Eyeing you angrily as he sipped his sweet drink, scrunching up his nose whenever you made direct eye contact with him.
Cory just smiled and pressed on, ignoring his friendâs behavior and focusing solely on you. The only reason he didnât stop Sebastian from brooding, is because he knew that Sebastian actually took a liking to you. Thatâs just how he shows it.
Cory and Sebastian pretty much just invite themselves to your place, even when youâre not around. Youâll come back to your dorm to find Sebastian brooding on the couch and Cory eating your snacks, but theyâre simply too pushy for you to do anything about it.
Sebastian will cook for you in return, eerily watching you eat. Cory attempts to clean, but only makes a bigger mess for you and Sebastian to clean up. But scolding him always makes you feel better, so itâs a win-win.
Plus Cory makes an excellent body pillow, heâs warm and soft, if not a little round from Sebastianâs cooking. Sebastian simply broods from the other end of the room, glaring at the two of you. You arenât sure who heâs jealous of, but inviting him to cuddle is practically a death sentence.
You almost died from suffocation during your first movie night with them, they run pretty warm too, it was like being stuck between a fire and lava while being trapped in an oven. But it doesnât stop them. What doesnât kill you makes you stronger, right?
You all became such good friends that it got to the point where you all pretty much lived at each others dorms. Sebastian and Cory share their dorm, so youâre always welcome there and vice versa.
So youâre bound to see them in the nude at some point. Whether Cory is just coming out of the shower or Sebastian decides to walk around shirtless. But thatâs fairly normal, right?
And so is sleeping in the same bed. I mean, youâve all fallen asleep on the couch together, so who cares that youâre sandwiched between the two of them?
And them asking for your help with their heat is also completely normal. Cory and Sebastian will practically drag you to bed, or the couch, or the carpet. One will be plowing your insides while the other cooks dinner or breakfast. After youâre fed theyâll kiss and lick you all over, shoving both of their cocks into you.

Maddie humbles him pretty severely in their conversation. Look, he knows it's stupid, knows it's selfish really, knows it's just plain crappy of him. But. But he hurt Christopher. And there wasn't some big uncontrollable variable like a tsunami that Eddie can explain it away with.
Sure, it was an accident, but it still happened. Sure, it was only a few scrapes that he'd cleaned up almost immediately with the little first aid kit tucked into the glove compartment of his Jeep - and, well, maybe part of the guilt is the way Christopher had grimaced at the added sting of the antiseptic wipes. But he'd done it. He'd made Christopher cry. And he'd ran as soon as Eddie swept in to take care of him. He'd ran before either of them could tell him to get out.
Christopher is injured, and Buck hasn't been to see him once. Christopher is injured because of Buck, and he's only checked in through a much too knowing Eddie. Because he's a coward, especially when it comes to Christopher. Jesus, nothing in the world scares him more than Christopher. Everything's so big and inconceivable with him. Buck feels it all, feels it all so strongly. The things he'd do for that kid... Well, that scares him too. Almost as much as Christopher's anger does, but he can't run from it forever. He can't stay away forever, so he shoots Eddie a quick text as he leaves Maddie's.
Can I come see Chris at some point?
He's just buckling himself into the driver's seat when his phone buzzes with a reply.
Get over here
Another buzz.
Now
His already knotted stomach twists into an even more complex shape as he turns the key in the ignition, but he has to face the music some time or another. May as well be now.
It takes him an inordinately long and nauseating time to get to the Diaz door, an even longer time to actually knock and then a terrifyingly short amount of time for Eddie to be appearing before him with those big, understanding eyes he can never seem to escape.
"Hi," he mumbles, suddenly struck with what image he must make out there on the porch. A naughty dog with a guiltily hung head and a tail between his legs just waiting to be patted on the head and told he's forgiven.
"Buck, come in." Eddie rolls his eyes and practically drags him inside. Buck had been about ninety-nine per cent sure (okay, maybe more like eighty) that Eddie's texts had been fond exasperation and not actual anger, but it's not until he hears Eddie's voice that he knows for sure. He was never a bad dog in Eddie's mind. Buck's tail wags just a little as Eddie leans back against the hallway wall with his arms folded over his chest. "He's in his room and he misses his Buck."
"Even after I almost killed him?" he mutters petulantly.
"Buck, you tripped over his crutches. The both of you went down and, honestly, you walked away worse than he did." Buck opens his mouth to argue, but Eddie ploughs on. "Don't lie to me. I saw those bruises on your ribs last shift. I know how weaponised those elbows can become."
"I'm fine."
"So is he," Eddie says seriously. "You know how many times I've tripped over his crutches?"
"Did you feel guilty about it afterwards?" Buck pries, eyes trained on his shoes where they kick lightly, sheepishly at the carpet.
"Of course, I did. I always do. Hell, I accidentally got some salt in his eyes when we were cooking the other day and I almost took myself down to Athena's station." Eddie shakes his head, unimpressed. "I'm his dad, I'd send him outside in a bubble wrap suit if I could. But I've been informed that isn't 'cool'," Buck snorts, "so I'm trying my best to make peace with the fact that that he's going to get hurt and I'm not always going to be stop it. But." Eddie steps closer, drops a hand to Buck's shoulder, ducks his hand to catch his eye. And Buck feels the echo of a wave and three ragged scratches across his face. "But I can always be there after it happens, to pick him back up and tend to his wounds, yeah?"
"Yeah," Buck whispers, nodding against the whirring of his brain.
"He's already mostly healed up. Go and see for yourself." Eddie leaves with a pointed look at Christopher's door, and Buck stays staring down the hallway like he can will it into something that feels a little less like a walk on the plank.
As he takes his first step, for just a moment, he wishes he was back in the endless labyrinthine hallways of his coma dream just to postpone his fate a little longer.
See, what he hadn't told Maddie was that he had actually tried texting Christopher a few days after their tumble. A sorry and an I hope you're okay and a jokey maybe we should leave basketball to the pros which had only gleaned a thumbs up emoji in response. So, he's not feeling very optimistic when he knocks on Christopher's door.
"Who is it?"
"It's Buck, buddy." Silence. A sigh maybe, if he strains. "C-can I come in?"
Another pause.
"Fine."
Buck pushes into the room with his heart in his throat. Christopher doesn't look up from his textbook where he's propped up against his headboard, just carries on reading. Buck approaches carefully, hovering at the end of the bed where he'd normally just sit.
"How are you doing?" he asks uselessly.
"Fine."
"Yeah?" Christopher only shrugs, and Buck sighs in defeat. "I'm really sorry, bud. I didn't mean to do it, you have to know that. I'd never ever do anything to hurt you-"
"Wait." Chris finally looks up from his book with his frown. "Do you think I'm mad because you tripped me up?"
"I-I, well, yeah." Buck blinks. "So, you are mad?"
"Yeah, I'm mad, but not about that." Chris groans and slams his book shut. "Why'd you disappear?"
"B-because I thought you'd be mad at me for, you know, hurting you," Buck says dumbly. Christopher rolls his eyes so similarly to Eddie's earlier expression that Buck aches with it.
"You didn't hurt me. Gravity hurt us."
"But you're mad at me."
"Because you disappeared!" Chris bursts. Buck's mouth snaps shut with a click. "Everything's changing. You and me and dad barely ever hang out anymore. And I know I'm getting older, so I shouldn't want to, but I do. But you're both dating, so it's always just the one of you. Or the three of us and a stranger. And I hate it. And the last time this happened, you promised you weren't going anywhere, but you did! And I want you both to be happy, and I really don't want dad to feel so lonely now I'm growing up, but I wish..." Christopher ducks his head as if suddenly realising he'd revealed too much.
"You wish?" Buck asks on the exhale of a breath he'd been holding since Christopher's little outburst, something fierce and jagged latching itself to his sternum.
"I wish you both could be happy with..." He shrinks into himself a little, and Buck wraps his hand around the footboard like a lifeline - like whatever Christopher is about to say will turn the world upside down. "I wish this was enough. I wish the three of us could make you both as happy as-as it makes me." He flushes and cracks his textbook open. "It sounds dumb when I say it."
"No, no," Buck croaks, something big and unwieldy expanding against the inside of his ribs, something that could choke him if he let it. "It doesn't sound dumb at all."

i'm coming down with a flu i think so how about some ghost taking care of sick!reader?
when you wake up in the morning, you feel like you have swallowed pieces of glass in your sleep. your eyes felt hot, watering as you tried to rub it away to no avail. your sinuses felt awful too, you can't breathe properly through your nose. and worst of all you noticed that it's not even morning anymore, as the clock on your nightstand says 13:47 instead.
you started to panic, of course, you missed work and worried about getting in trouble with your boss, frantically searching for your phone. you saw it being charged just beside the clock (not where you left it, clearly you always fell asleep on your phone so it should be on the bed), confused as you unplugged it. your husband must've charged it on your behalf.
expecting for the worst, you braced for at least 53 missed calls from your boss and coworkers, though finding none instead. this surprises you, as you clearly know that your boss would've eaten you alive if you didn't return his calls, let alone missing most of the work hours.
simon suddenly walked in, placing a cup of hot honey lemon concoction on the nightstand. this confuses you evenmore.
"aren't you supposed to be at work?"
"well, you're at home yourself, love. aren't you supposed to be at work?"
when you rolled your eyes in annoyance, simon couldn't help but chuckle, sitting down beside you on your shared bed.
"asked th' old man to let me stay home today. said i'll get the whole base sick with the germs i carried to work."
as ridiculous as it sounds, at least it makes a lot of sense. you took a small tentative sip from the cup, flinching from the temperature. you didn't expect it to be so hot, then again simon always liked his beverages scalding.
"what about my workâ"
"called your workplace for you, sweetheart. just rest for now, you sound worse than price today."
"you're so mean..."
"well i love you too."
he stood up, giving your head a small pat, his lips curled into a small smile. "i'll get you some food so you can take your meds."
you nodded weakly, unsure what else to say now since now your head feels like it's spinning. you placed the hot cup back on the nightstand, not wanting to spill it and getting hot lemon all over the bed or the carpet. no way in hell you're cleaning all the mess when you can't even stand up.
you must've fallen asleep afterwards, as simon woke you up, a bowl of hearty cream soup in hand. it has all of your favorite things in it, and smells surprisingly good. that's odd, simon doesn't really cook.
"where'd you buy this...?" you asked, clearly can't see him cooking this from scratch.
"i made this for you, love. now stop being snarky and eat it."
you didn't even have the energy to protest, just taking small bites from the bowl. it was surprisingly tasty, although a little too salty for you. some of the vegetables are also a little undercooked. now this is more like what you expected.
"not bad, gordon ramsey."
"still have the energy to joke around, i see."
"it's a compliment, simon."
now it was his turn to roll his eyes, sitting beside you and watching you eat his food. you pointed out how it tasted, and what he might have to fix next. he nodded quietly, hand caressing your hair slowly as he listened.
"i didn't get any call or text from work... what did you do?"
"just a little convincing, nothing big."
he didn't mention (vaguely) threatening your boss, or how he basically begged the captain to stay home today so he could take care of you instead. you don't need to know that.

Why Carpet Cleaning Matters:
Carpets are more than mere floor coverings; they are the foundation of comfort, warmth, and aesthetic appeal within a home. Over time, however, they bear the brunt of daily life, accumulating dirt, allergens, and stains. Routine vacuuming only scratches the surface, leaving embedded particles that can compromise indoor air quality and carpet longevity. Professional carpet cleaning is the key to preserving both the visual and hygienic aspects of your carpets.

The products they use are not only effective in removing stains and dirt but also gentle on the environment and safe for your family and pets. This commitment to sustainability aligns with the values of a community that appreciates both cleanliness and eco-conscious choices.
Benefits of Professional Carpet Cleaning:
Improved Indoor Air Quality: Carpets can trap airborne pollutants, contributing to indoor air pollution. Professional cleaning eliminates these contaminants, enhancing the air quality in your home.
Prolonged Carpet Life: Regular professional cleaning removes abrasive particles that can wear down carpet fibers, extending the life of your carpets and preserving their appearance.
Allergen Removal: Carpets can harbor allergens like dust mites and pet dander. Thorough cleaning reduces allergen levels, creating a healthier environment, especially for individuals with allergies or respiratory issues.
Stain Removal: Stubborn stains can be a source of frustration. Professional cleaners have the expertise and specialized products to tackle even the toughest stains, restoring your carpets to their original beauty.
Time and Effort Savings: DIY carpet cleaning can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. Professional services streamline the process, allowing you to focus on other aspects of home maintenance.
The Point Cook Difference:
What sets Family Carpet Cleaners Point Cook apart from the rest? It's not just the technology they use or the thoroughness of their cleaning process; it's the personalized touch and understanding of the local community. In a suburb where family values resonate deeply, this service goes beyond being a businessâit becomes a trusted partner in maintaining the heart of your home.
Customer Testimonials:

Tips for Carpet Maintenance:
To maximize the benefits of professional carpet cleaning, adopting a proactive approach to maintenance is essential. Here are some tips to keep your carpets in top condition between professional cleanings:
Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum high-traffic areas at least once a week and the rest of the carpet at least twice a month to prevent the accumulation of dirt and debris.
Immediate Stain Treatment: Attend to spills and stains promptly. Blot the affected area with a clean, white cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible, then treat with an appropriate stain remover or a mixture of water and mild detergent.
Use Doormats: Place doormats at entrances to minimize the amount of dirt brought into the house. This simple step can significantly reduce the wear and tear on your carpets.
Rotate Furniture: Periodically rearrange furniture to distribute weight and prevent excessive wear on specific areas of the carpet.
Professional Cleaning Schedule: Establish a routine for professional carpet cleaning. The frequency depends on factors such as household size, the presence of pets, and lifestyle. Consult with Family Carpet Cleaners Point Cook for personalized advice.
Conclusion:
In the picturesque landscape of Point Cook, where community and family values thrive, Family Carpet Cleaners Point Cook stands as a beacon of excellence in carpet cleaning. Their dedication to revitalizing your home goes beyond surface-level cleanlinessâit extends to creating a healthier, more comfortable living environment for you and your loved ones.
