Tell us about the AU! I know you want to!!

WAUGHHH. AGHHH. OKAY. OKAY SO. I've been watching one of my favorite content creators play through the DLC. Early on in the playthrough he was tossing around theories and said "Maybe KIERAN is Ogerpon??" and that gave me a BRILLIANT THOUGHT.

Ogerpon Kieran AU.......

I've already thought of a very long and complex backstory for this LOL but to simplify it. Before the ogre and its human companion came to Kitakami, said companion was actually living a very happy life with his child. However, they were caught up in the midst of a great war that ended up taking the child's life. The man was so overcome with grief that it summoned a great being (I'm thinking Xerneas), who blessed his dead child with new life. And that child was reborn as Ogerpon!! So kinda like how children who get lost in the woods and die are reborn as Phantump.

Fast forward to many many years later. A long chain of events leads to Carmine's grandfather's...father (so, her great-grandpa?) meeting Ogerpon and vowing to make it a new mask, a mystical and powerful mask that could grant wishes. Sadly, Carmine's great-grandpa wasn't able to complete the mask before he died. This project was eventually picked up by Carmine's father (and I have a whole other thing about him but I'm not gonna get into it right now lol). Carmine's father forms a very close bond with Ogerpon as he continues to gather materials to finish the wish mask. He expresses his desire for Ogerpon to finally be able to walk among the villagers with its name cleared, and for Ogerpon to meet his only daughter. He leaves for a journey to find the last material for the mask...and never returns 😔

Carmine's grandfather has a whole complex about the wish mask, but after seeing both his father and his son dedicate so much time and care into completing it, he takes the last material, imbued with the hopes and dreams of his family, and finally finishes the mask. When he presents it to Ogerpon, Ogerpon dons the mask and its wish is granted...it becomes human :") So it becomes Kieran, basically!! Kieran's wish was to be able to say thank you to all of the generations of mask makers that had helped him, and. To be part of their family 🥺 What he doesn't know is that his wish to be human stems from the fact that he already was human, once. But he doesn't remember his life before he was reborn as a Pokemon.

So, Carmine's grandfather happily accepts Kieran and his desire, and takes him home to live with him and Carmine. Note that Kieran is probably around 5-6 at the time, so he's BABY. And Carmine is only about a year or two older. She isn't sure what to think about suddenly getting a new brother, but she's happy to have someone to boss around lmao.

And once a year, during the festival of masks, Kieran lets his facade fall and wanders around as Ogerpon again. Just to keep in touch with his roots haha

So obviously with Kieran being Ogerpon the events of the DLC will play out differently than canon. Kieran slyly compliments the ogre in front of the player and mentions that maybe it's just misunderstood. He's been trying for a while to change the villagers' minds about what happened to him and the Loyal Three all those years ago, but it hasn't been going...too well lol. So when the player shows up, and things start to shift, Kieran gets really excited bc he realizes he finally might be able to clear his name :")

Is this AU silly and dumb as hell? Yes. Does it not really make sense with canon and is full of plot holes? Yes. Am I brainrotting over it anyway? Also yes.

Kinktober Day 7: Bruising or Biting

Summary: You get injured while working at the factory and low-and-behold your clothes get torn. Carmilla, ever the concerned and watchful boss, make it known how well she can take care of you. Steam and smog emitted in large plumes from the weapons factory run by Carmilla Carmine, the air was thick with the scent of metal and oil; punctuated by the hum of machinery. You were deeply engrossed in your work, calibrating a series of prototype weapons that had come straight from the mind of the ruthless queen of industry herself. Each click and whir of the machines resonated with your commitment to quality, but today felt different. The atmosphere crackled with an unspoken tension, one that grew palpable every time Carmilla made one of her routine visits.

As you tightened a bolt on the latest prototype, the factory doors swung open, revealing Carmilla in her signature tailored suit, the sharp lines accentuating her every move. She was a vision of confidence, and the way her crimson eyes scanned the room sent a shiver down everyone’s spine.

“Y/N,” Carmilla called, her voice smooth as silk, drawing the engineer’s attention. “How’s progress on the new line?”

“Going well, I think,” you replied, forcing a calmness into your tone despite the fluttering in your chest. “We should be ready for the initial tests by next week.”

“Good,” Carmilla said, stepping closer, her eyes narrowing as she examined the weapon. “But I want it perfect. You know how the investors are.”

Nodding, a hint of determination glimmering in your gaze, you went back to work. Just then, a loud crash echoed through the factory as a nearby assembly line malfunctioned, causing a cascade of metal parts to tumble to the floor. Without thinking, you nstinctively bolted from your desk to stabilize a falling piece, but your timing was off. In a split second, a heavy metal arm swung dangerously close, catching you off guard. Attempting to dodge the shrapnel, you swerved but it just grazed your side, knocking you off balance. The world tilted as you stumbled, trying to catch yourself, but failing as you fell hard against the cold concrete; a sharp pain shooting through your side.

“Y/N!” Carmilla’s voice sliced through the chaos, laced with an urgency that was unusual for her. She rushed to your side, kneeling down to assess the damage. The factory around her flashed with red lights, white sparks flying everywhere as workers rushed around trying to bring order back. You winced, feeling the pressure of Carmilla’s hands as they examined your side. It wasn’t just the physical pain that caught you off guard; it was the intensity of Carmilla’s gaze, filled with a mix of concern and something deeper. Pulling you out of the room with ease, the older woman sat you down on a sofa outside the factory room.

Carmilla’s fingers brushed against your shirt, tearing the fabric slightly and revealing the mottled bruises that decorated your skin—remnants of previous accidents that you had tried to hide. Your breath caught in your throat, a rush of vulnerability flooding your system. You had never wanted Carmilla to see you like this, exposed and flawed. Carmilla's expression softened as she traced the bruises with her fingertips, an uncharacteristic gentleness gracing her features. 

“You should be more careful,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. The proximity was intoxicating, and you felt a warmth spread through you, despite the pain. Well, maybe it was the pain, actually. 

“I’m usually careful,” you replied, forcing a laugh, trying to lighten the mood. “Just... a little off time today.”

Carmilla’s eyes flickered, a mix of amusement and something else—something you had dared to hope for but never fully acknowledged. “You need to be more than just careful, Y/N. You need to take care of yourself.” There was a weight to her words. 

“I will,” Y/N promised, feeling a blush rise to your cheeks. “I just—”

But before you could finish, Carmilla leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a low murmur. “I mean it. You can’t keep pushing yourself like this. I’d hate to see you hurt more seriously.” The sincerity in her tone sent a thrill through you, struggling to process the electric tension in the air. You could see the flicker of emotions in Carmilla's eyes—desire mingled with concern—and you felt a daring urge to bridge the gap that exisited. 

“I’ll do my best,” you replied, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of feelings. “For you.” 

Carmilla's gaze softened even further, a small smirk forming on her face as her gaze fell to the marks on your skin. You shirt half torn, revealing your toned and experienced body, her eyes fillting to take peaks at what she could gleam from the fabric of your bra that stuck out. Reaching out and tracing her fingertips lightly over the material, she leaned close and her hot breath fanned over the shell of your ear. 

“I think there could be a way for you to make it up to me.”

Gulping, a hot blush spread across your feature. Were you dreaming, was the impact causing a concussion? Surely, this couldn’t be happening. 

“I can think of many ways that I could bruise that pretty neck of yours myself. Mhmm, what do you say to that my little perfect employee?”

How could you say no? Especially when she pulled you into that broom closet and you could feel her teeth on your neck for weeks.

Camillo is not my character, nor have I made any of the art/edits you may have seen on my posts. He is just a simple gender-bent version of Carmilla Carmine that someone has created by editing current images of her from the show and as far as I am aware, they are available to be used in works of writing! Use them to your hearts content!

Juliana - Ultimate ??? Admittedly influenced more by Scarlet in pokespe and her "infiltrating" the academy, I think it'd be interesting to have dual protags with one having an unknown talent like this. ...Also I couldn't think of one

Florian - Ultimate Lucky Student. As the second part of dual protags, pairing these talents together would definitely be interesting

Nemona - Ultimate Trail Guide. Since she's a "guide" character... I dunno man, it's kind of hard to think of any specific talent of hers outside of being the best rival battling

Penny - Ultimate Hacker. For reasons that make sense from canon lol this one was the easiest

Arven - Ultimate Food Historian. I wanted to give him Ultimate Chef, but Crispin is also on this list ^^' so I combined his cooking and researcher elements!

Eri - Ultimate Athlete. Kind of umbrella, but she's very athletic and described as such with no real specifications

Ortega - Ultimate Engineer. He's canonically an engineer and mechanic, and since we've had Kazuichi before, I went with engineer!

Mela - Ultimate Artist. It may seem like an odd fit for her, but canonically she joins Art Club to "pursue a hobby," so you never know!

Giacomo - Ultimate DJ. Also a kind of no-brainer lol

Atticus - Ultimate Fashion Designer, also for canon reasons :)

Carmine - Ultimate Mentor. Kind of similar to Nemona in a way and maybe not obvious upon first glance, but due to her being somewhat overprotective of Kieran, I think this would be an interesting talent for her to work with

Kieran - Ultimate Anthropologist. I know we already have Kiyo for that, but due to Kieran's association with and love of the legend of Ogerpon, I thought someone who studied those kinds of legends would be interesting

Drayton - Ultimate Folklorist. That's definitely not the right word... But someone who compiles old folklores. I thought of this one for him because of his connection to Drayden and the dragon-type in general

Lacey - Ultimate Trivia Master. Her trial is a trivia-based game, and I think she would specialize especially in trivia about things she finds cute. I dunno, I was kind of lost for her

Crispin - Ultimate Chef. A no-brainer for him given his everything, but he'd definitely try to work a lot with spice

Amarys - Ultimate Strategist. This is due to some of the information provided about her in the Map Mission Guide, and I kind of associate both strategists and steel-types with being calm, cool, and sharp

on another note what do you think the two sister think of Charlie?

I will be this guy^ if we don’t get to see them bond so like 8.

I wouldn’t be super upset if we don’t because I am aware of the time constraints placed on the seasons, but I do believe it would be a disservice to vaggie’s character to not include it. She was sidelined crazy hard in season one, and while I’m glad we received confirmation that her and Charlie’s relationship is getting more of a spotlight (and a song, yippee!!), some individual focus on her through her developing a relationship with the Carmine girls would be really nice.

Hmm. Since we have so little on Odette and Clara, I’ll have to speculate based on Carmilla’s stance on Charlie that her royal status likely means little to them. She’s just Vaggie’s girlfriend, who they did a huge favor for and helped during the battle against Adam and the exorcists. A hefty favor, really, but I think they'd both respect her for the fact she took Heaven on at all. If they are fond of Vaggie they'd absolutely be fond of her well-intentioned dorky girlfriend.

Based on my own hcs for the girls, I'd love to see Clara and Charlie become fast friends while Odette needs some time to warm up to the idea despite Charlie's many attempts to reach out. There are lots of ways to go about it, and regardless of the show's route, I'll definitely be making silly comics of my own.

Very simple question if you had to make a filler episode about aki what would it be about?

Ooh! There are many good answers to this!

I loved the Akiza gets her license arc, it will be pretty hard to top that. But if I had to narrow down the oodles of Akiza ideas I have to just one, and make it filler, I'd say I'd make a filler episode dealing with the ramifications of the fall of Arcadia. Not just the emotional damage, but like. The physical cost.

Filler episode where Akiza is struggling with the fact that when the building collapsed, all her stuff was destroyed. And the actual possessions, she doesn't care that much about, but her plants. She kept a whole room of plants at Arcadia that she absolutely doted on, and now that she's moved back in with her parents she has nothing to care for, and it's really weighing on her.

So someone (Probably Carly, because give me CarlyAkiza interactions Konami, GIVE THEM TO ME) takes her to Yugioh Home Depot and then they run into some crabby gardener who doesn't want to sell them plants for Yugioh Filler Antagonist Reasons, and Akiza solves this the only logical way by asking to duel for it, and they have an awesome Plant Deck Vs Plant Deck smackdown and Akiza wins and they jam pack Carly's van with flowers and shrubs and succulents and it looks like a greenhouse on wheels and in the end Akiza has a new room in her house full of greenery, and as thanks, she gifts Carly a single potted cactus.

How would Vaggie and Carmilla's interaction go in the mute au? How would Vaggie manage to convince Carmilla to help them without talking?

She'd be angrily banging on the door and then shove a paper reading "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID" at the camera. Somehow, Carmilla gives her entrance.

Carmilla is initially offended that Vaggie doesn't even have the gall to speak to her, and calls her out, to which Vaggie has to grumpily explain via notepad. Carmilla is a bit more patient after that.

Their conversation plays out relatively the same, though Carmilla doesn't give her a timer, instead Vaggie is being pushy and impatient, still very sour about what happened in Heaven. "You don't get to sit there and be a coward while the rest of us fight for everything we have."

The fighting begins, and Carmilla thoroughly whoops Vaggie's ass before Vaggie eventually just stops and starts writing, having had enough. She's constantly scowling and bubbling with rage throughout the entire interaction.

Things are relatively the same, though Carmilla's notes for Vaggie's roots being obvious are just wielding an angelic spear and fighting like she herself is the weapon.

AND I'm changing that God forsaken line about "did you know that angels could be harmed?" to "did you know that angels could be harmed by demons?" Because it saves us all from a stupid ass plot hole you're welcome.

The rest plays out the same, Carmilla tells her story, Out For Love happens—though it makes more sense now since Vaggie is actually driven by rage and hate, and not just a need to help Charlie—Vaggie gets her wings back, and they get the weapons. Hooray 🎉

GRINDS MY TEETH OKAY ALRIGHT WE’RE DOING THIS

-Ash arrives in Kitakami and immediately butts heads with Carmine. Needless to say this leaves a strong first impression on Kieran who has never really seen someone stand up to Carmine before

-Carmine challenges Ash to a battle. Ash whoops her ass. Kieran is enthralled. Kieran proceeds to laugh to himself saying “It’s not like I lie awake thinking about him at night or anything” cut to Kieran lying in bed thinking about Ash going AW MAN

-Ash and Kieran get paired up together for the little interactive tour. Kieran is a hot mess. How do you not act like a total oddball in front of the really cool foreign trainer who was able to beat your sister in a Pokemon battle.

-Kieran’s a nervous ball of anxiety the ENTIRE time until they get to the first signboard. Then his autism kicks in and he tells Ash about Ogerpon. Ash notices how passionate Kieran seems to be about Kitakami’s history and is like whoa that’s really neat 😳

-Ash agrees with Kieran and says whoa yeah the ogre actually sounds really cool!! Aw man now I really want to meet it!

Kieran: Oh no I think I’m in love with him

-Kieran is inwardly having a mental gay breakdown and wonders what to do. How does he handle this. How can he impress Ash, who is already so impressive. Maybe a Pokemon battle? But there’s no way he could beat Ash after seeing how strong he was yesterday…

-Kieran decides to battle Ash anyway. Unsurprisingly, he loses. He’s about to go into a self-deprecating spiral when Ash comes over and is like WOW that was AWESOME!! Your Pokemon were so great, that was such a good battle!! Man battles are really really fun huh ^^

-Huh. Kieran’s never really thought about it that way before. At least with his background, battles have always been about power and proving yourself the strongest and winning. Maybe Ash is onto something? Kieran doesn’t feel the sort of disappointment he usually feels when losing a battle. He actually feels…satisfied?

-They continue on to the second signpost, and then to the Dreaded Den. Kieran infodumps about Ogerpon again. Ash listens to every word with a dreamy look on his face. Is nobody else seeing this?? Okay. Alright

-The Festival of Masks is ready to start. Kieran’s grandparents let Ash borrow an extra set of jinbei. Kieran sees Ash all dressed up and tries not to let his gay show too much. (He fails.) Kieran’s grandparents watch them awkwardly flirt with each other and do that eyebrow raise thing.

-THEY GO TO THE FESTIVAL! With Carmine tagging along. Carmine is her usual snarky self and unintentionally insults Kieran. Ash gets angry on Kieran’s behalf. Kieran manages to calm both of them down and he and Ash split from Carmine for a little while.

-Ash: I don’t like how your sister treats you >:(

Kieran: O-oh 😳

ASH CARES ABOUT HIM. He wants to cry. This is the best festival ever.

-I actually considered having Ash and Carmine being the ones to have a run-in with Ogerpon, and then Ash refusing to keep it a secret from Kieran, but. I like to think that Ash would change the narrative so much that he and Kieran would encounter Ogerpon from the get-go. This is the Good End route.

-Ash is able to start befriending Ogerpon with his Protag Powers and Kieran is stupidly impressed. And very very gay.

-Ash, freaking out: Was that the ogre?!! OH MAN

Kieran, freaking out: OH WOWZERS

Ash cares about him AND they met the ogre. This is DEFINITELY the best festival ever.

-Since Ash is bad at keeping secrets they’ll probably end up telling Carmine about Ogerpon anyway. Lmao

-The next morning the three of them find out the Real Story behind the Loyal Three and Ogerpon’s past. Carmine is furious. Ash is also furious but to a lesser degree. Kieran is just heartbroken that Ogerpon’s had to live this way for so long. And Ash is like holy CRAP Kieran was right the entire time!! Kieran you’re amazing!! How did you know Ogerpon wasn’t the bad guy?? You’re so cool Kieran 😤

Kieran: (A cute boy is complimenting me I think I’m going to explode)

-They aren’t sure what to do about changing the townspeople’s minds. Carmine says they should probably keep it a secret like her grandfather told them to. Ash refuses. Kieran also refuses. Carmine gets angry that Kieran is taking Ash’s side. Kieran actually snaps back at her and Ash is VERY proud Kieran’s standing up for himself

-They split up for the time being. Ash and Kieran decide to go tackle the last signpost. Along the way Kieran’s p dang quiet. Ash asks him what’s wrong when they get there and Kieran asks him for another battle.

-This time it’s CLOSE. And both of them get REALLY into it. Kieran realizes he’s never had this much fun battling someone before. Along this crazy adventure he’s learned so many things. And Ash has inspired him so much. Kieran’s always wanted to get stronger. But the way he’s been going about it has been all wrong.

-Kieran has an epiphany of sorts. Battling with Ash made him realize it’s not about winning or showing off. It’s about having fun!! And this whole time Kieran’s gotten stronger without even realizing it.

-Ash runs at him after the battle ends and he’s like “That was AMAZING did you see the way those moves collided?!! And when Furret dodged Pikachu’s attack like that I was like WHOA and then they were like WHAM and I was like YOOO!!” And Kieran’s gushing right along with him. The tism LEAPS out

-Ash makes Kieran develop a true passion and love for battling and he’s so thankful 🤧 Bc before he never could really grasp why he wasn’t improving at all. Focusing on strength kinda blinded him to what was really important.

-Kieran: Let’s battle again soon! I’m feeling really pumped up now, battling you and watching you strategize has given me some good ideas :’D

Ash gets the DOKI DOKIS and he’s like uh yeah okay! Definitely! (I don’t know why my heart jumped just now.) Pikachu looks at him like homie I think you’re catching SOMETHIN but it’s not a Pokemon 👀

Obviously there’s the rest of the DLC plot to finish but you can probably guess the direction it’s going in. Kieran’s obviously overcome his weird thing about strength so he doesn’t spiral and become unhinged over Ogerpon like in canon. Lol

-Kieran: You’re the WORLD CHAMPION???

Ash: Oh yeah did I not mention that?

Kieran: *Proceeds to have a heart attack*

wat do you think of the carmine angel theory?

Carmilla has gotta be an angel. Of all people, how did she know that angels could be killed with angelic weaponry? She didn't seem very hesitant when fighting the angels either. Also, "angelic steel isn't very common", and yet Carm built a whole empire that uses angelic steel for hell's weapons. Plus, she has the same militaristic behavior that Vaggie and Lute have. Not to mention the silver/white hair.

I think she went down to Hell to be with her daughters, honestly.

I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not, but there's also a French novel called "Carmilla". In which the main character uses the fake name Carmilla as an anagram to her real name. Considering that Adam isn't good with creating names (Lute - Lieutenant. Vaggie - Vagina (ugh)), it wouldn't be shocking if he called one of his angels after a brand of guns, aka a weapon. Carmine.

Edit: I almost forgot to add in that Carmilla just seemed to know Vaggie's name in Out For Love, despite the two never having met prior.
