What's your opinion on the Carcharodons, successor wise? Should it be kept nebulous as is or should it be determined?

The nebulousness is good, but I also think it's decently implicit from the novels that, at this point, the sharks are running a chimeric mix of Raven Guard, Night Lords and World Eaters gene seed. And, y'know, it makes sense. Chimeric gene seed is a logical and interesting narrative path when your chapter can't pick and choose. "One chapter" successors are boring and not particularly feasible when you're maintaining fighting strength and don't have access to the same resources as everyone else.

Also, the sharks being a blend of those three chapters fucks incredibly hard. You know it to be true.

With sudden and unexpected grace the massive Terminator slid to his knees before the black-cassoked man who was but a fraction of his size.

Armored gauntlets went to the Terminator's helm and the fastenings hissed open, amber light dying in the helm's optic-lenses. The scarred face that was revealed was sharp visaged and waxen, deathly white, the eyes as fathomless and pitiless a black as the dark between the stars.

“Hail the Emperor,” the Carcharodon whispered through rows of ivory teeth.

I guess I'm not making a knockoff of the Carcharodons Astra, as these guys have become their own thing they don't even have an actual Chapter name, "Shoal Hunters" is just the mainstream Gothic translation of one of their many epithets in the sector they operate in, "Chasseurs Untiefe" these weird guys call themselves the "Tautai" when they're alone, which might not even be a proper noun, the Inquisition just kind of assumed it is and nobody's corrected them and they fucking love plasma weapons, man, they just love plasma so much, so really, the only thing they have in common with the Space Sharks is aesthetics and maybe being Raven Guard

Oh yes, the Carcharodons are one of my favourite groups. The Maori inspired markings give them lots of personality

Blah blah geneseed and all that but I think it would improve the game environment if there were space marines of color, yknow? No reason beyond big E being a white guy (and the fascism the game fails to properly criticize) for the elite genetically engineered fighting force to be all white dudes
