How Car Paint Correction in London Enhances Your Vehicle’s Value
Navigating London’s streets often leaves cars with scratches, grime, and faded paint. Thankfully, car paint correction in London services are here to help. These specialized treatments eliminate imperfections, giving your car a showroom-quality finish that lasts.
The Impact of London’s Climate on Car Paint
London weather is known for being unpredictable, with frequent rain, pollution, and exposure to harsh UV rays. Over time, these environmental factors can cause damage to your car’s paintwork. Rainwater can leave water spots, while the high levels of pollution in the city can create grime that sticks to your vehicle’s surface. The lack of sunlight during the colder months can also prevent proper drying, leading to paint blemishes like oxidation and fading. Car paint correction services in London help eliminate these imperfections, restoring the paint’s original gloss and providing protection from future damage.
Removing Swirls and Scratches
In London’s busy urban environment, it's easy for cars to accumulate unsightly swirls and scratches. These can be caused by improper washing techniques, brushing against trees or other vehicles, or even the general wear and tear of daily driving. While these scratches may seem minor, they can significantly reduce the visual appeal of your car. Paint correction is a professional process that involves using specialized tools to buff out these imperfections, leaving your car with a smoother, more even surface. By removing these swirls and scratches, paint correction restores your vehicle’s aesthetic appeal.
Preserving Your Car’s Value
Your car’s exterior is one of the first things people notice, and it can have a significant impact on its resale value. A vehicle with faded, scratched, or oxidized paint can make a poor impression on potential buyers. Car paint correction not only restores the look of your vehicle but also helps preserve its resale value. By investing in paint correction, you’re ensuring that your car remains in excellent condition for longer, protecting your investment and enhancing its marketability when the time comes to sell.
Long-Term Protection and Shine
Paint correction doesn’t just fix visible imperfections; it also provides long-term benefits. After the correction process, a layer of protective sealant or wax is often applied, offering an extra barrier against dirt, water, and contaminants. This protective coating helps keep your car’s paint shiny and new, making it easier to clean and maintain. For London drivers, this means fewer trips to the car wash and less time spent scrubbing away grime. It also helps maintain the car’s appearance through changing weather conditions, ensuring it looks its best year-round.
Don’t let London’s conditions ruin your car’s appearance. Choose professional car paint correction services London for a flawless finish. Contact Ecoverde Valeting Service today to explore our exclusive car valeting and detailing packages in London.

breaking down the misinformation in @afronerdism post about me.
Debunked by Stuart Semple himself.
I’ve taken the time to do this because nobody wants mis-information bouncing around the internet.
The key thing to know - in the artworld rich people have access to processes and companies that most artists don’t. That’s how they get to create giant beans which cost $20million. At the top the rich get richer, and at the bottom artists struggle to make their mark with what they’ve got.
Vantablack is an example of a group of rich, entitled people getting together to pat themselves on the back, whilst the rest of the world watched horrified at the tone-deafness of the whole thing.
it's also worth noting whilst OP is clearly educated and understands politics they are not in any way an expert in the artworld, art discourse. I however have been in the artworld for 25 years, have written for the guardian, art of england and vogue. I have presented art programs for the BBC and have a properly published book on art history - it's out in June called 'Make Art or Die Trying'. I have studied art and art history and spoken at Oxford University, The ICA, Denver Art Msueum, Dublin Art Museum and at Frieze. I have lectured at the Royal College of Art in London. I have curated over 20 contemporary art exhibitions internationally, I have directed two galleries. I am by definition an expert.
MY BREAKDOWN: OP is @afronerdism - I've gone below them point by point
A: What Vantablack is not: a pigment. A paint. Vantablack is not something that you were supposed to use to paint with.
SS: CORRECT - However nor is glass, chrome, powder coating, sandblasting, booze casting, tar, concrete or steel yet they are used by artists everyday.
Whether the material/process is a paint or pigment or not doesn’t matter.
A: Who creates and distributes Vantablack: an engineering company named Surrey NanoSystems.
SS: True. And many artists work with engineering companies every day, notable examples are Jeff Koons and Damien Hirst. Lots of artists collaborate with industry to get their work made, that is what fabrication is. You go to Surrey NanoSystems - not to buy paint but for them to coat your work in Vantablack.
A: Who does not do those things: an art house. A distribution company. Any kind of company that creates and distributes pigments on a massive, artistic scale.
SS: Which is totally true and fine. However they do coat things in Vantablack for a series of clients in many different industries including fashion designers, jewelers, brands, car companies, and watch companies. They will coat anything for anyone who has the money unless they are an artist. They only accept work from Anish Kapoor as he has an exclusive license with them for art.
A: Who was Vantablack made for: Vanta Black was made by aerospace engineers for aerospace engineers, looking for something to coat the insides of massive NASA telescopes.
SS: Initially, but quickly was used by a lot of other industries including architects, fashion designers, bands, brands, car companies and even a deodorant.
They are able to make it in quantities large enough to coat whole buildings as we saw when architect Asif Khan used it to coat a whole pavilion during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games.
(If had told Surrey nanoSytems he was an artist - not an architect, this would never have happened)
A: Who it was not made for: artists.
SS: Except the one with the license. (Anish Kapoor)
———————————-——————————————
A: Hopefully already just by understanding what Vantablack is, what it was made for, and who it’s made by you and other people are beginning to see what the problem is with Stuart simples narrative around Vanta black.
SS: It’s Semple not simple.
SS: The narrative was not created by Semple as for a few months before he shared his pink the world media was criticizing Kapoor for his Monopoly with major articles in the Guardian, Daily Mail, and BBC news. Each featured reactions from a broad spectrum of artists who spoke about the unnecessary license and the elitism in the artworld.
A: But you may be wondering if Vanta black is a highly toxic unstable substance made out of carbon nano tubes by aerospace engineers for aerospace engineers, working in space, then how did we get here? well, Vanta, black 2.0, if you will was created in such a way that it could be sprayed onto substances in a certain way meaning that theoretically it could be used artistically.
SS: Yes VBX2 can be sprayed, and Surrey Nanosystems have training days where they teach in-house teams how to do that. The VBX2, however, arrived quite late in the story and Kapoor’s rights started with the first version.
A: Surround nanosystems held an exhibition where they displayed Vanta black and when artist saw this, they were inundated with calls from artist, wanting to use it in their work.
SS:
Surrey nano systems (not surround)
They actually debut it at an airshow in England, it was all over the world media, many artists saw it. They then went on a massive PR mission and the material was seen on CNN etc.
Kapoor became aware of it and approached them to see if he could use it in his work.
Together they struck up an exclusive deal which would mean if any artist asked them to coat a piece of work with the stuff they would be turned away.
That deal was something Surrey and Kapoor were initially proud of. They couldn’t see the inherent elitism in the exclusivity so they went on another PR pr to tell he world Kapoor was signed up to use it.
It was then the artists of the world really became aware of it, and sure enough, when any of them wrote to Surrey - even really huge ones with plenty of money, they were turned away. These artists including Christian Furr and Ron Arad, amongst others were all featured across the media. =
A: But as we’ve already established surrey nanosystems is not a distribution company. They’re an engineering company. And they made the decision that they could only work with one artist, because they simply did not have the physical ability to produce Vantablack at a scale that allowed them to work with more than one person.
SS: They did say that, but a lot later. They were always a fabrication / engineering place and there was never an idea that they would distribute the material. That’s not the problem any artists ever had with it, they all fully understood what the material was. The issue was that even if the artist had the money and could ship their work to Surrey, they would not coat the object with it, but they would serve other industries. This is seen as deeply prejudicial towards artists.
A: (To this day, vanta Black has to be distributed by a specialized robotic arm that creates it in painfully small amounts in an enclosed box that can then be given to someone in a lab. )
SS: This is untrue - the arm is used to spray the objects that Surrey have agreed to coat.
It does not make the material. The material is made by growing carbon nano tubes on a surface.
And the spray version contains nano particles. The robot arm is used for precision when coating.
You often see a robot arm spray cars for example. The arm is used like this.
A: Enter Anish Kapoor: Anish Kapoor, at this time was already a world, renowned artist, and the creator of many public facing pieces, such as cloud gate, a.k.a. the Chicago Bean. His entire life‘s work was dedicated to how light is refracted and interplays with the void, making him not only the perfect person to be chosen because of prestige but also because his life‘s work spoke to the engineers who created Vanta black.
SS: Whist as an artist he has dealt with reflection and the void at length, it’s a stretch to claim his entire life’s work is dedicated to it.
SS: It is true that as a figurehead for Vantablack he is a good choice, he’s very rich, extremely famous, he’s a Sir (i.e knighted by the queen and a turner prize winner). Plus he makes work that would look good in Vantablack.
SS: None of this means that he needed exclusivity to do it, the company could simply have collaborated with him and if any other artist asked to have something coated, they could have easily said they were too busy or didn’t have enough of the material.
SS: The issue is the way they couldn’t see the prejudice, elitism and lack of access in the exclusivity.
A: Now this should’ve been seen as an incredible accomplishment and honor for this Indian artist to be chosen as the soul licensor of Vantablack as this company was only able to choose one person and people were really excited about this for him and that’s where the story ends, right? Right? Right?
SS: It’s unclear why his race matters. He is one of the richest, most well known, most famous artists in the world. The fact he has exclusive access to a material/process like this is not a reason for people to be excited for him, people are free to be excited or not. This is purely your opinion not a fact.
A: Enter Stuart Semple: Stuart simple was a 25-year-old man in the UK living with his mother when she came into his room and told him about Vantablack.
SS: Stuart was born in 1980, which would make him 36 at the time.
SS: He was not living with his mother, in fact he was living in London with his own family.
SS: His mother did not come into his room however on a phone call she spoke to him about an article she had read in the guardian about how artists were upset by Kapoor having Vantablack.
SS: Stuart was (and is) a well-known contemporary artist, very embedded int hat world. He has had over 20 solo exhibitions dedicated to his work all over the world and his pieces are in major collections and museums. He’s not in the league of Kapoor but in the artworld is well known as an artist.
A: As an artist himself, Stewart simple wanted to try Vanta Black, and was told by the company that he could not.
SS: This is untrue - Stuart did not want to use the colour, nor did he approach the company.
A: It was then that he discovered the only person on earth licensed to use Vantablack was Anish Kapoor.
SS: This is untrue, he was aware of this when his mother told him what she had read in the newspaper.
A: Please keep in mind that Vantablack is not a paint, and it is so difficult to work with that Anish Kapoor has only ever produced one singular piece of art with Vantablack.
SS: This is untrue. Tens of thousands of items have now been coated in VantaBlack, from soda cans to watches. Initially, Kapoor used his rights to create a series of limited edition wrist watches that sold for $100,000 each, and then went on to create a whole series of large sculptures that were initially shown at a huge palazzo in Venice that Kapoor bought, during the Venice Biennale, and then at an exhibition at the Lisson in NYC where there works were for sale with an average price of $500,000USD.
A: So like a child who has just been told by their mom that they can’t use something, Stewart simple decided to throw a hissy fit.
SS: It’s Stuart Semple (not stewart simple) - and there is no evidence of any kind of Hissy Fit. However he did create a piece of internet performance art, where he put a jar of pinkest pink paint on the internet, humorously, and asked anyone who bought the paint to sign an agreement that they ‘weren’t Anish Kapoor and Associate of Kapoor and that to the best of their knowledge information and belief, the material would not make its way into the hands of Anish Kapoor’. Semple has always explained it was a tongue-in-cheek piece of performance art, and that he was never expecting anyone would actually buy any pink. The best source for this is an article in Wired in which the journalist concludes with the piece being a powerful piece of online performance art. Bearing in mind Semple is an artist who works with performance, that is extremely likely.
A: He created a pink pigment that he conditionally said everyone could use except Anish Kapoor and then launch this pigment with the hashtag #ShareTheBlack.
SS: He created the pink pigment in 2010 - and has made his own paints to use in his own work since he was a child. It was not made in response to Kapoor. However he did not make them public they were for his own use, and the Kapoor situation made him question his own exclusivity in keeping the materials he was making for himself. He decided to share his pink as a gesture and a piece of art in it's own right.
A: This caught the attention of the news media, and when asked about this situation, that was previously relatively unheard of, Stuart simple,
SS: Neither Stuart nor the Vantablack situation were unheard of. The media was already reporting on the controversy around vantablack long before Stuart put the pink up. Stuart was also well known which is why the media wanted to talk to him about it.
When GQ came to do a 5 page feature on him they were clear it was because he was an established and well-known artist in his own right.
He had already been hosting art shows for the BBC, had written for the guardian and Huffington post and had collaborated with major musicians.
A: went onto describe Anish Kapoor as this tyrannical elitist who “banned“ the use of Vantablack to keep other artists from using it.
SS: There’s no evidence that Semple said that, however, he was critical of the exclusive license and did feel the story opened up a well-needed discussion about access to art and the trend in which those with the money could afford to have works fabricated when others couldn’t. He is at heart an egalitarian and has made free art studios, his Designs for humanity charity, his creative therapies fund at Mind (a mental health charity) etc.. and a major free art gallery in his hometown that shows some of the biggest living artists. So Semple’s opinion is allowed, to him Kapoor epitomizes an elitism that is dominated by the super-rich, after all, Kapoor is getting close to being a billionaire.
A: But hopefully you can already see how that is Literally not true. Anish Kapoor does not make Vanta black. Anish Kapoor cannot sell Vanta black. Anish Kapoor cannot give you permission to use Vanta black. And Vanta black is not even a paint.
SS: He does not make it, but he does hold the exclusive right to use it in art.
SS: No other material or process has been exclusively licensed by one artist in the history of the world.
SS: Jeff Koons does not make his own giant steel sculptures, a factory does. Jeff can’t book your work into the factory, and steel is not a paint either. He doesn't have an exclusive agreement with the steel fabricators. If they aren't too busy with Jeff, and you've got the cash, they'll make something for you too. This is standard with art fabrication.
SS: I didn't physically make the giant steel and foam smiley sculpture of mine for the city of Denver, fabricators helped with that, and engineers. They work with several artists.
SS: This makes no sense given it is understood vantablack is a material and a process of application.
SS: However Kapoor could surrender his exclusive right and Surrey would then be able to take bookings from artists.
A: meanwhile Stuart has launched an entire very lucrative career around slandering and smearing Anish Kapoor
SS: Untrue, Semple had a very successful career and his day job is as a contemporary artist. Actually speaking up about elitism in the artworld is a risky move for someone who relies on that artworld to pay his bills.
A: when Anish Kapoor literally never did anything but be qualified enough to be the one person chosen by a company that is literally only able to work with one person at a time.
SS: He did do something, he signed an exclusive agreement and he felt he was entirely justified in doing so. He also went out in the media and with surrey nono systems and gloated about it.
SS: They can’t only work with one person at a time, we have seen whole buildings covered in vantback, jewellery, cars and soda cans and many sculptures by Kapoor. Surrey have collaborated with thousands of brands, designers, architects and companies.
A: The fact remains Stewart simple, very intentionally allows this narrative to continue because it makes him money.
SS: It is unclear how it makes him money as the pink was sold for $3 which was what it cost to make, and his website which researches and distributes cutting edge materials is a non profit that collaborates with artists. They even did a crowd funder to make Black 3.0 - a super black acrylic that any artist can use. It's also unclear how he is perpetuating this narrative, when he's clearly moved on to other projects many years ago and rarely mentions it. In Semple's world it's a very small thing.
A: He has made a ton of money off of slandering Anish Kapoor as if Anish Kapoor is the reason he can’t use Vanta black when the reason he can’t use Vanta black is because no one can use Vanta black, and the only person who might be able to use it is Anish Kapoor and that is not Anish Kapoor‘s fault.
SS: There’s no evidence at all that he’s slandered Kapoor. Kapoor being extremely wealthy, and the level of media that covered the story back in 2016 would never have allowed it. It would have been a legal nightmare. All the publications who write about the story GQ, BBC, The Guardian, Wired, have journalistic laws and it would not have happened.
SS: There’s no evidence that Semple has made a ton of money.
A: It is not lost on me that there are racial connotations to the story as well. There are actual companies and artists in the world who have trademarks around certain colors that they do not allow other people to use in public showcases.
SS: There are colour marks or if you like 'trademarked colours'. The public showcases point doesn't make sense in this context - colours are protected in classes i.e certain uses on Serbian products are prohibited. EG - Tiffany blue cannot be used on jewellery boxes.
A: But we really as a community allowed this white man to smear and slander an Indian artist,
SS: Again it’s unclear what the ethnicity of the artists has to do with the core issue.
SS: It’s a little bit of a leap given Semple has also liberated Klein Blue (made by a white French man), Barbie Pink (owned by Mattel a corporation), and created the Brightest White.
A: based entirely off of misinformation, and to this day people jump on the Internet, saying fuck Anish Kapoor because of it.
SS: Kapoor secured the rights to the blackest material ever made. Everyone else who can afford to, can use it, unless they identify as an artist.
SS: Many people feel like that is wrong.
A: Now, Anish Kapoor is not some struggling person. He is probably a multibajillionaire
SS: He’s worth about 800 million according to Forbes, he’s within the top 5 most wealthy living artists.
A: And doesn’t necessarily need our sympathy. But I think the story of Vantablack is a really good case study of how misinformation spreads, and how people never bother to question the framework of a story.
SS: In my opinion, your post is misinformation, that has been spread unquestioningly.

Penny’s Special Day
A/N: Artemis in formalwear never goes smoothly. A delayed WBW instalment, based on this ask from @drinkyoursoupbitch:
The dress in the story was entirely inspired by the one in the photo above. As for choosing it, though…
Warnings: None.
A long time had passed since Artemis had last been to the Haywoods’ family home. The house was larger and brighter than the one she herself had grown up in, with a garden that stretched all the way around its walls, and a driveway on which a Muggle car was parked. The street outside the front gate was wide and tree-lined, and three children were riding bicycles up and down the length of it. There were rolling hills in the near-distance, so green and calm that it was hard to believe that London was only a stone’s throw away.
Everything about the house’s exterior was neat and polished in appearance, from the short grass to the paint on the front door. Artemis smoothed down her hair and clothes before knocking. A moment later, a figure appeared in the frosted glass of the door, which opened to reveal a young witch with butterscotch-blonde hair and legs that went up higher than Artemis’ waist.
“Long time, no see,” said the witch. She cocked an eyebrow and grinned mischeivously. “Are you emotionally ready for this?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be, Bea.”
“Then, by all means, come on in.”
Artemis followed Beatrice Haywood inside the house, moving quickly to keep up with her long strides.
“Everyone’s in the living room, we’ve all finished getting ready. Except for Penny, obviously, she’s still in her room making herself pretty,” Bea explained as she led Artemis through the hallway and up the stairs, the pale pink material of her dress swishing around her legs as she moved. “You can get ready in the spare bedroom, if you like, as long as you don’t mind sharing with all of Tonks and Chiara’s stuff.”
“Not at all.” Artemis was used to that, having shared a room with both Tonks and Chiara at school.
“It’s a bit of a sardines situation. I’ve had Aurélie in my room with me, and Skye and Lizzie are sharing the study.”
Artemis frowned. “There are a lot of us, aren’t there?”
“What were you expecting? This is Penny we’re talking about.”
“Let me guess, she couldn’t pick so asked everyone she knew?”
“A bit of that, but also she just wanted all of it, and it is Penny’s special day, after all.” Bea stopped in her tracks and widened her eyes. “Oh, but you must know that it is actually very lucky to have seven bridesmaids,” she said in a high-pitched and breathless voice, before snorting. “Honestly, I am just looking forward to tomorrow when this is all over. Anyway, you’re in here. Chuck your dress on and I’ll steal Andre off Penny to do your hair and make up for you.”
Bea nodded her head at a coat hanger floating in mid-air in the corner of the room, from which a padded material bag was hanging. Artemis took the bag from the coat hanger, lay it out on the bed, and opened it. Immediately, she pulled a face.
“Everything alright?”
Artemis wrinkled her nose at the dress. “It’s a bit pink, isn’t it?”
“Tell me about it.” Bea sighed. “But it’s what Penny wanted us all to wear.”
Managing to pull her eyes away from the sea of whitish-pink fabric on the bed, Artemis took another look at Beatrice. She was wearing the exact same colour, the exact same dress, as the one in front of her. Despite the colour, it looked quite nice on her. Maybe the dress wouldn’t look so bad once Artemis put it on.
Unfortunately, her first impression was proved to be correct once she stood in the mirror. Not only was the dress pink, but there was both an awful lot of it, and yet not enough. The skirt, which came down to her mid-shin, had layers of a mesh material beneath the main fabric that caused it to stick out slightly from Artemis’ waist like a ballerina. Though the bodice was tight, it did not have any sleeves to hold it up, and Artemis barely dared to move in case the entire dress slid down her body to the floor.
“I know Penny chose them, but—”
“Yes, you do have to wear it. We all do,” said Bea. “I wouldn’t have chosen it, either, but I’ve come around now.”
“That’s easy for you to say. You actually look alright in it, I just look like a meringue.” Artemis took a deep breath. “Hopefully Andre can do something to make it look better.”
But Andre’s response to the sight of Artemis in the dress did nothing to fill her with confidence.
“Oh, dear.” He grimaced as he looked her up and down. “Oh, no.”
“The dress is horrible, isn’t it?” said Artemis. To her surprise, Andre shook his head.
“The dress is lovely, Artemis. It just looks horrible on you.”
“Brilliant. Can you make it look good on me?”
Andre laughed. “Darling, I can do make up. I can do magic. I cannot work miracles.”
He conjured a chair out of mid-air and pushed the now-scowling Artemis down to sit in it in front of the mirror. Confronted with her own face, it was painfully obvious how tired she looked, with her skin the grey-ish yellow of someone quite unwell.
“That’s the colour of the fabric,” Andre informed her, when she pointed this out to him. “It does absolutely nothing for your skin tone. You look even more washed out than poor old Tonks, but I don’t think that had anything to do with her dress.”
Artemis did not reply. Tonks’ skin had been pale and her hair mousey all month, ever since her new not-quite-a-boyfriend had unceremoniously ended things with her, but Artemis didn’t want to be the one to pass on that piece of gossip - especially not if Penny hadn’t already done so. Andre was apparently non-plussed by Artemis’ reticence.
“Still, that’s what a good foundation and blush is for,” he carried on. “And it could be worse. At least you don’t have that tragic fringe anymore.” He sighed. “Honestly, darling, I’m surprised no one guessed it was all going tits up with Davies, what with that cry for help attached to your forehead...”
By the time Andre had finished with Artemis’ hair and make-up, she may have still resembled a meringue, but at least she no longer looked so sickly.
“And are you sure there’s nothing you can do to make the dress look better?” she asked Andre. “Maybe put some sleeves on it, or something?”
“Like I said, darling, the problem isn’t with the dress. And besides, this is what Penny wants, and it is Penny’s special day. Talking of which, the bride asked me to send you to her room once I was done. She has her own idea for a finishing touch for you.”
Artemis wasn’t sure she wanted any more input from Penny on her outfit, but she could hardly say no. She made her way across to Penny’s old bedroom, still decorated the way she remembered it from their teenage years, with gingham curtains and white broderie bedsheets and a small collection of toy horses on one of the bookshelves.
In the middle of it all was Penny herself, dressed in a white dress that skimmed over her body and pooled on the carpet. A silver tiara perched on top of her hair, which was intricately braided back from her face and fell down her back in waves of golden honey. Her eyes were bluer and her cheeks rosier than Artemis had ever seen them before.
“Wow,” said Artemis. “You look…”
She had been about to say ‘pretty’, but that wasn’t right. Penny had always been pretty, but today she looked more than just pretty. Today she looked…
“Beautiful. You look beautiful, Pen.”
Penny smiled, both genuinely and nervously. “You really think so?”
“I know so.”
“And you definitely can’t tell at all?”
Penny looked down at her abdomen, the gentle bulge of which was hidden by the flowing material of the dress. She exhaled as Artemis shook her head, clearly relieved. Artemis stepped towards her.
“Andre said we needed to get our last something from you before we leave.”
“Oh, yes. I’ve had something made for each of you to wear today, and to keep after, if you wanted to. You don’t have to keep it, of course, but I wanted to give you each something. Here.”
Penny sat down on her old bed, and tapped the bedcover next to her. Artemis sat beside her, and Penny summoned a small satin pouch from her dressing table. She handed it to Artemis, who opened it and tipped its contents into the palm of her hand.
The item inside the pouch was a dainty silver bracelet, designed to look like a branch or vine with slim leaves made out of green jewels.
“I know it’s silver, but you can turn it gold after today is finished,” said Penny, as she looped the bracelet around Artemis’ wrist and fastened it. “And the gems are emeralds. I thought that they’d match the green in your eyes, and they’re your birthstone, you know? And the leaves, well… I asked the lady to make them look like rowan leaves. I hope you don’t mind.”
Artemis blinked and shook her head, almost rendered speechless.
“Of course I don’t mind,’ she managed to say. “I… I love it. Thank you, Penny.”
But Penny shook her head. “No, it’s to thank you, silly!”
“For what?”
“For being my bridesmaid, of course.”
“All I had to do was turn up and put on a dress.”
This seemed a bad point in time to mention how much she hated her dress, so Artemis did not mention it. Penny sighed.
“It’s more than that, though,” she said. “You’ve been one of my best friends for years. For half my life, would you believe it? And you still are, even now, even though we… Well, we are rather different, aren’t we?”
This was undeniably true. Artemis nodded. “Yeah, I guess we are.”
“I know that you don’t always understand me, and I know I definitely don’t always understand you, and that we both exasperate one another at times. It would have been easy for us to have grown apart once we left school, and I’m so glad that we haven’t.” Penny’s smile was still strong, but there were tears in her eyes. “I really do love you, you know.”
“I love you too, Pen,” said Artemis. As Penny hugged her, she heard her sniff, and could feel tears stinging her own eyes. “But don’t cry about it. You’ll ruin your make up and then Andre will kill us both.”
“Oh, goodness, you’re right.” Penny broke apart from Artemis and blinked rapidly. “There’s no time for it to be redone, either. We have to go. Would you mind helping with my train on the stairs?”
Artemis frowned as she looked around the room. “Train? What train?”
It turned out Penny was talking about the long material of her dress, which Artemis held up behind her as they made their way down the staircase of the Haywood’s house. In the hallway downstairs, Penny’s parents, sister, Andre, and the other five bridesmaids applauded at the sight of the bride descending the stairs to join them. Penny’s mother had tears in her eyes, there wasn’t even a hint of mockery in Beatrice’s smile, Chiara had a little colour in her usually pale cheeks, and Tonks had managed to inject a strawberry blonde hue into her mousey locks.
At the very bottom of the stairs, there was a narrow mirror, and Artemis caught a glimpse of her own reflection in her periphery as she passed it on her way to join the other bridesmaids, each wearing a slightly different variation of the bracelet Penny had just given her. She couldn’t say that she was any more enamoured with her dress, or that she looked any less like a meringue, but she could at least say that she looked like part of a team, a team that Penny had chosen herself based on years of friendship and fidelity, of shared experiences and shared laughter and shared love. It was a shame that Penny had chosen this dress for them all to wear, of course, but it was Penny’s choice, at the end of the day.
“It’s Penny’s special day,” Artemis muttered to herself, so quietly that no one else would hear her little reminder, before joining the rest of the bridal party to celebrate the happiness of her friend.

Music made me love you, chapter 22
"This was delicious." Robert licked his lips.
"We have a new chef, and that was a good discission." Marmaduke said. "How was New York?"
Robert felt his cheeks colour. "It was wonderful."
"Did she come back with you?" Marmaduke poured some whiskey in two glasses.
"I almost messed things up, but yes she is back here in London." Robert felt butterflies thinking about the fact that Cora was back. It was now three weeks ago, that they were on that flight back home. Robert booked first class tickets, so they could sleep well. Cora had complained about the seats, and it still made Robert chuckle. Her argument was that the seats were to wide, so she could not hold his hand or sleep on his shoulder. She had hinted that the seats were big enough to sleep together in them, but Robert had kept her off. He did not want to upset the flight staff, and he also did not want to rush things. He wanted to do everything properly and in the right order.
"I knew I had to give you more instructions, what did you do?" Rosamund said, while she sat back at the table.
Robert sighed. "You could not have prevented this, I think. I booked us tickets to go back to London, and she did not appreciate that."
"Oh please, do not tell me she is that kind of a women." Marmaduke said annoyed.
"What do you mean? That kind of a women?" Rosamund asked.
"The type of women that does not like it when a men buys something for her."
"It was not the fact that I paid for the tickets. It was the fact, that I just told her that we were flying on that same evening. Without discussing it first with her. Cora's mother did the same thing when she came to pick her up here in London. It was a stupid move, and I understand why she got upset over it."
"It sounds like, you are lucky she came back with you." Marmaduke frowned.
"None of that, she could not wait to come back to London. She loves this city, and she feels at home here. More than she has ever felt in New York."
"So, she only came back for the city." Marmaduke joked.
Robert smiled and looked at Rosamund. "You are not drinking?"
"You never notice these things. But you are correct I am not drinking."
"It is a lot healthier not to drink every evening." She gave a meaningful look at Marmaduke that Robert missed.
"Well, Rosamund now we are talking about Cora. I want to ask a favour of you."
"Oh?"
"I want to show Downton to Cora. I want her to know about our estate and company, before she jumps into a relationship with me. She needs to understand what it all means."
"And how can I help with that?"
Robert hesitated, how was he going to say this. He knew Rosamund did feel the same way about Mama, but it felt as a betrayal what he was going to ask of her. "I would like to show Downton, without Mama being there."
"You want me to lure Mama away, so she cannot disturb you?"
"I do not want her to scare Cora away. You know how she talks about Americans."
"And what about Papa? Do I need to lure him away to? That will be a bit more difficult."
"Papa knows about Cora."
"Oh?" Rosamund interrupted Robert.
"I told him before I went to New York the first time. I had to tell him, because I would be away for a couple of days, and I needed him to keep Mama of my back. Maybe she has found out, maybe not. I think not, because she has not bugged me about it yet. Can you please find a way to keep her away from the house and the village?"
+++
"Do you want to drive?" Robert asked Cora, while they walked towards his car.
"Is this your car?" Cora exclaimed.
Robert chuckled, he had recently bought a new car, a Bentley, New Continental GTC Speed V8 Hybrid. "This is my car indeed. Do you like it?"
"I love your choice of colour." Cora smiled, and with her fingertips she touched the car.
Robert first wanted to go for a safe choice like a black or blue paint, but he ended up with the Tourmaline Green and he had to agree, it turned out wonderful. He held up the keys. "You want to drive?"
"What if I scratch your car, or worse have an accident, you better drive." Cora smiled at him and walked to the passenger side, although she thought she did.
"You should get in on the other side if you do not want to drive." Robert laughed.
"One more reason for me to be the passenger, I have never driven on the left side of the road. And I am acting like I have not been in a car here in England."
Robert put his hand on her waist. "I will be your chauffer for today." He kissed her temple and felt Cora chuckle.
+++
"You should wake up dear." Robert softly nudged Cora's shoulder. He had stopped the car at the entree, so she would get the full effect of seeing the house for the first time, driving up the driveway. Cora had dozed of very quickly.
With a yawn Cora stretched and reluctantly opened her eyes. "I was having such a wonderful dream." She smiled at Robert.
"Do you want to share?" Robert was mesmerized once again with how beautiful Cora's eyes were. They had a perfect almond shape and were blue like a Mediterranean see.
Cora contemplated for a second, did she want to share? She had dreamt about them two. They were living in a big house, and she had just given birth to his first child. "Maybe later." She leaned towards him and kissed his cheek. "I first want to see the house you grew up in."
"Oke, here we go." He slowly drove towards the house, waiting for Cora's reaction. He did not have to wait long, before he heard her gasp.
"You told me you grew up in a big house, but I thought a house like I grew up in, but this." She paused. "This is what they call a big house, my goodness. How did you not get lost inside it as a child?"
Robert laughed. "Oh, but we did. I played a lot of hide and seek with Rosamund and our governess, but nine out of ten times we had to give up, because we could not find each other, or the way back to the nursery. Let us go inside." He parked the car and saw Carson coming towards him. When Carson noticed that there was a lady in the car, he changed direction and went to open her door. He gave Cora his hand so she could get out of the car easier.
"Thank you." Cora said a little bit confused. She was used to having staff, when she was growing up. But it had not been like this.
"Cora, this is Carson our butler." Robert stepped closer towards her. "Carson, this is Cora Levinson, my." Robert paused a second and looked at her. "My girlfriend."
Cora shook Carson's hand. "Nice to meet you, Carson."
"Welcome at Downton miss Levinson." He nodded towards Robert. "Milord." and he walked towards the house.
Robert followed with Cora close to him. He took her hand and softly squeezed it. He noticed that she was very nervous, and he scolded himself for not telling her about the staff in this house. "Only my Papa is at home." He felt Cora breath out when he told her.
"I feel a bit underdressed. I did not know it would be a formal meeting." Cora looked at her shoes.
"Carson is always dressed like this, it is his uniform. Do not worry, Papa is not even counting on us greeting him. I will show you the house and if you like we can meet my Papa. But we can also leave that for another time, when my Mama is home."
"I do not want to sound ungrateful or as if I do not want to meet your father, but I had not counted on it. I do not know what I was expecting to be honest, but." She stopped talking.
Robert turned towards her and put his hand on her face. "Cora, I understand that this is a bit overwhelming. We could just go back home and come back another day."
"No, no, we did not drive four hours to not see the house and the estate. I love to see this place and get to know you better. I am just being silly."
+++
"And this is the music room." Robert ended the tour, in the room that he loved the most."
"What a beautiful instrument." Cora walked towards the grand piano. "Can you play something?" She looked up at Robert who had followed her with coy eyes.
"Not today and not here." Robert said short.
Cora took his hand and pulled him closer towards her. "And if I ask very nicely?" She put one hand on his lower back.
"Not today." Was Robert's only answer.
Cora got on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "I would love to hear the sound of this instrument." She now kissed his ear and temple. Her hand moved over his back, pulling him closer towards her.
Robert's hand went to Cora's neck, and he raked his fingers through her hair. He let her kiss her neck and enjoyed feeling her body against his. "One day, I will play on this instrument for you."
"But not today?" Cora asked with a very soft voice. She leaned back and looked up at him.
The look in Cora's eyes made Robert want to pull her close and kiss her. She was leaning against the grand piano and he pressed his body firm against hers. "You are so sexy." He growled. Slowly he bent down, just before he touched her lips he heard a voice.
"What are you doing?" Violet's voice sounded through the room.
Robert froze and he felt Cora do the same. Quickly he turned around and saw his mother entering the room, with Rosamund behind her. She mimed a sorry to him. "Mama!" Was the only thing he could get out of his mouth.
"What are you doing here and who is that women?"
"I did not know I needed permission to be here, since you ordered me to come back here and help Papa."
"Do not start Robert." his mother's voice was cold. "Who is that women I asked you."
Robert made himself taller and took Cora's hand in his. "Mama, I want you to meet Cora Levinson. Cora is my girlfriend." There was no other way in telling this to his mother. He could not have told anything else, because why would he kiss a women if it was not his girlfriend.
"Normally you introduce a girlfriend to your parent's before you show them the house. Is it not?"
"You were away when we arrived."
"So, when I now go to your father, he can tell me who this woman is? You have introduced her to him?"
Robert's cheeks coloured bright red, and he felt Cora getting smaller next to him.
"Mama, that is enough. I think Robert did not want her to meet Papa alone, you would not have liked that." Rosamund interfered. "Let’s not scare Cora away and go and greet Papa."
Robert gave her a thankful look and watched them walk away. He turned towards Cora once they were out of side. "I am sorry, Rosamund promised me that Mama would not be home today. I had hoped to be away before she returned. We can still leave?"
"I do not think your Mama will appreciate us leaving. And I would love to meet your Papa, you always talk fondly of him." Cora put up a brave smile and took Robert's hand. "You have met my Mama, so you know I am used to being criticized. Come on."

meta + found family
Send me headcanons || always accepting tbh
Found family is really the only family that Lena's had.
Maybe that's not entirely true. Maybe one day, there was a bouncing baby Lena and parents that loved her so dearly, it felt like their hearts would burst. That she would be dressed up in baby sundresses and taken for picnics and music in the park. A mother that showed up to gymnastics recitals and tacked her paintings to the fridge. A fiery-haired woman who loved as long as the sun was bright, fierce and whole. Once upon a time, there were dances in the kitchen and pretend-airplanes in her father's arms. Somewhere abroad, a large family who shared her mother's passion for the world.
But accidents happen, and grief is a fickle thing.
Lena doesn't remember the car accident that killed Ciara, doesn't remember the days of grieving later. Conversely, she doesn't remember the grief etched into her father's face, deeper at every interaction. Lena was too much like Ciara, too in love with life and exuding brilliance that it physically hurt him. Who could blame him for retreating into his office work? Who could blame him for saving himself the pain of watching the reminder of the woman he loved so dearly, grow up?
Lena's second family was a group of friends she met at a rock concert she snuck into at 13. A mixture of human and omnic, all reunited by the deep, rocking base and the drive to feel connected in a way beyond. Days continued with this group, time spent graffitiing London, attending parties and concerts, and not a small amount of vigilant justice against the rampant anti-omnic mentalities. But there has to be a point where they grow up and move on, and Lena fell for the trap of military recruitment.
Her third family, and most short lived, consisted of her cohort in the Royal Air Force Academy. United this time over 60 miles runs and broken spirits - and more than a couple broken bones - these were the first people she trusted with her life. She had to, given the circumstances. They were the ones destined to take over the decimated ranks of the Royal Air Force, the next generation against whatever threat the world spit out. But nepotism is a dangerous game, and the prodigy they called Lena Oxton was separated for her skill in the sky. Today, they're still her family - she has lunch with Hamila and Natalie, sometimes - but that boundary had been cast and changed the course of everything.
Her fourth family was with Overwatch. It began with the Blackwatch boys, Cassidy and Genji, being close enough in age to be brothers. Genji mourned with her, their broken and altered bodies, in his own silent way. Eventually that net expanded to include Jack, Angela, Fareeha as a younger sister, Gabe, Ana, Vivian - they all became closer to family, the first people Lena would go to. In fact, Jack was the first one she went to after her first relationship during her time as a Hero exploded in her face ( Lena was too dedicated to her work, a feeling he could resonate with entirely ). When that, too, was lost to her, Lena believed herself unworthy of a family. It was hard to trust, to love again, even for someone with that fiery passion of her mother. Lena sufficed with love for people, for humanity, and animals, and everything else she deemed 'good' in the world. Doing her part to correct wrongs and bring light back into people's days.
But one can reject love, and it still find them.
Her fifth family was another fiery, red-headed woman with power in her eyes and a quicksilver tongue. Emily, international news reporter, covering everywhere where she shouldn't be, including the active warzone made up of the former streets of Belgium in a rogue omnic attack. Lena had saved her then, ignoring the punch to her gut at the beauty of the woman ( as covered in ash and dirt as she was ). However, it wouldn't be until a subsequent, similar encounter that had Lena sprinting to a medic, Emily tucked to her chest as Lena screamed to save her. Lena had visited her in the hospital later, a rare happening for a woman so insistent on the few degrees of separation she was able to maintain. This family, she held tightly, like embracing the setting sun, and so far, Emily has yet to dissipate from between her fingers.
Her final, and current family, is a hodgepodge of different lives lived in different worlds. Family built in the hardship of war, friends made over rucks and arms training and sleepless. Love found in the battlefield. Newcomers and old friends, people that she would happily burn up for just to see them succeed. They've never asked such a thing of her, however, existing in relative harmony compared.
And Lena loves. Gods, does she love them all.
#holy shit i am so much more emotional than I anticipated while working on this#lexi I am SUING#( headcanon. )#tlacehualli

𝕒𝕤𝕒 𝕙𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕕
he appears as though he was born forty-five years ago but is actually one hundred and seventy-nine, he is a vampire who lives in mystic grove as a head librarian, and is in no coterie. he looks an awful lot like andrew scott.
“It’s alright to lose yourself to madness.”
tw: mental illness, mental hospitalization, death
Asa Holland was born in Ireland in 1844. His father had money, but wanted his son to earn an honest living- and so Asa learned a trade early and became a tailor’s apprentice. Asa was unassuming, quiet and mousy, but as he learned from his boss, he seemed to come alive. Clothing and the arts, sewing and creating. When he had free time he began to learn painting as well. But his father saw his relationship with the man, and fearing the worst, sent his son away to ‘correct’ his behavior. At the age of 15 he was living in a mental hospital in England- and many never left these sorts of places. Asa’s aggression came out from his anger at his father, but it only showed those in charge of him that he truly couldn’t be trusted to be sent back out into society. And so for years upon years, he rotted in hospitals. His father rose to higher positions in government and couldn’t afford to take his ‘mental’ son out- and so if anything, he’d be transferred about to other psychiatric institutes. Until one day in 1888. Someone came into his derelict bedroom, unknowingly about to change the man’s life- a creature, a vampire, hungry and lonely. Asa was turned, somehow not fully killed in the process of the feeding. And in his turned state, he went feral. The doctors and nurses who had held him there, force-fed him pills, mistreated him... Asa left the place a bloodbath, but it was assumed he’d been one of the many casualties of the mysterious events of that one night in 1888 at St. Irene’s. But instead, Asa was free, finally. He left that nightmarish place and traveled about, to London, back to Ireland. Eventually, years and years later, to the States. Now as an almost 2-centuries-old vampire, Asa is an unsettling but kind man- there is a quiet intensity to his eyes that have seen the invention of electricity, of cars and phones. He is antiquated in some ways, naive in others. But Asa runs a tight ship at the library, having taken over from the old woman who was set to retire. He does his best to create all sorts of clubs, study groups, and story-times at the library.
“what power did he attain when settling in greywood?”
Asa found that he had an amazingly green thumb after moving to Greywood- but due to being a vampire, he can’t go out during the day. He’s found ways to get around it, and his back patio is a huge garden of vegetables and fruit he can’t eat, beautiful flowers, and he’s often seen under a patio umbrella, working on a watercolor with a cat in his lap and surrounded by his beautiful plants that are sometimes scarily huge.

All About Alice
Trigger Warnings: Death, bullying, and homophobia.
Basic Information
Full Name: Alice Lyn Kingsleigh
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: 25
Date of Birth: March 30th
Hometown: London, England
Current Location: Evermore, USA
Ethnicity: White
Nationality: British
Culture: UK
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She / Her
Orientation: Pan/Polysexual/romantic
Occupation: Burlesque Dancer/Waitress at Wonderland
Living Arrangements: Apartment
Language(s) Spoken: English, French
Accent: “Proper/Posh” British
Religion and Beliefs: Alice is a bit agnostic. She was raised Presbyterian, but never bought into it. It all sounded like a story to her, as do most other religions. Who is she to say who got the story of the literal universe correct?
Political Affiliation: Liberal
Social Issues: Alice believes in equality for all, and will fight for it when any opportunity arises.
Physical Appearance
Face Claim: Virginia Gardner
Complexion: Clear skin
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5′7
Weight: 130 lbs
Build: Slim
Tattoos: Splatterings of flowers under her breasts, along her ribcage, down her shoulders/arms, and down her hips. Lavender on her middle finger on her left hand.
Piercings: Basic ear piercings as well as more unusual ear piercings.
Scars: Alice has some scars on her hands, elbows, and knees from accidents when she was younger and would try to explore. They’re fairly minor and mostly healed.
Common Hairstyle: Mostly Alice just let’s her hair do what it’s going to do. She runs a brush through it and just leaves it however it is, which isn’t exactly crazy, but it’s definitely a natural wavy, full head of hair. Occasionally she’ll straighten or curl it, and might even wear a braid or some ribbons in her hair, but that’s mostly if she’s getting dressed up for an event or something similar.
Clothing Style: Quirky. Alice likes clothes that speak. (I could say that’s metaphorical, but Alice really does feel like she hears things speaking to her sometimes, so.) Anything that’s considered alternative or different or out-of-date calls to Alice. Basically, she has a unique sense of fashion made up from random finds in thrift shops and the like.
Mannerisms: Alice tucks her hair behind her ears a lot. It’s just sort of a quirk, she’s always trying to get her hair out of her face. She’s also restless, so her leg will bounce if she’s sitting still for too long.
Usual Expression: Curious and tentatively optimistic!
Health
Overall (do they get sick easily?): Alice is actually pretty healthy. She only gets really sick maybe once a year. Other than that, she just has pretty bad seasonal allergies that can sometimes develop into colds or sinus infections.
Physical Ailments: N/A
Neurological Conditions: Alice has Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and it is likely she has NOS (Dissociative Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) as well.
Allergies: Seasonal weather allergies
Sleeping Habits: Alice can fall asleep literally any time, anywhere. It’s been a problem in the past - falling asleep during lessons or in the car - and can still sometimes cause trouble to this day. Alice loves her sleep, and so she loves to nap. She just has such a hard time waking up. She never feels fully rested.
Grooming Habits: She takes good care of herself. She loves sleep, she loves bathing, and she enjoys painting her nails when she has the time and patience for it. Alice doesn’t go out of her way to participate in skin-care or go beyond what is necessary to stay clean, though.
Eating Habits: Not only is Alice a picky eater, but she also eats like a bird. She has never had a particularly large appetite, and her mother always yelled at her for “playing with her food.” (Okay, so half of the time in her mother’s defense, Alice was literally playing with her food.)
Exercise Habits: Alice likes to bike! It’s her most frequent form of exercise, since she doesn’t go out of her way to use a gym or anything.
Emotional Stability: Ask, and Alice will tell you very sternly that she is perfectly normal and emotionally stable, thank you very much. The truth is, however, she is anything but. Below any positive emotion, there is always a layer of brimming anxiety, threatening to push her into a polar opposite emotion. She tries to keep level-headed because she hates being labeled as “crazy,” but when she snaps, she snaps big.
Sociability: Alice is naturally curious, so she’s very sociable. She thinks that everyone is interesting in their own light, and everyone has a story to tell. And she wants to hear them all!
Body Temperature: She gets cold easily, and loves to bundle up.
Addictions: Easily addicted to alcohol and other substances once exposed, though she currently has no specific addictions.
Drug Use: Marijuana, the occasional opioid
Alcohol Use: She drinks to excess whenever she has the excuse to.
Personality
Archetype: The Explorer/The Activist
Positive Traits: Creative, curious, sensitive, unique
Negative Traits: Guarded, stubborn, flighty, distracted
Good Habits: Taking care of things around the house; going to sleep at the same time every night
Bad Habits: Sleeping too much, not eating enough, not cleaning her room or things often enough
Goals/Desires: Alice honestly just wants to live life and see where she ends up, she doesn’t really strive for anything in particular other than to make friends and be happy. Her biggest goal right now is to change how people are being treated at Wonderland.
Weakness: Her emotions.
Fears/Phobias: People thinking she’s crazy, being thrown into an asylum or mental institution, etc
Secrets: That she was briefly institutionalized after her parents death.
Regrets: Alice regrets being at a protest the night her parents died.
Proud Of: Her strength to keep trudging on after all she’s been through
Embarrassed By: Her toothy grin, her occasional clumsiness.
Attitude: Curious and realistic. She hopes for the best, but expects the worst in most situations.
Pet Peeves: Arrogance, mistreatment of others, lying
Inner Conflicts: Working for Reina, mainly. Wanting to explore but being trapped in Evermore.
Motivation: To be happy and normal, but an interesting enough person. To save others from injustice.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, baking, partying, adventure, etc.
Talents/Skills: Alice doesn’t really think she’s a good writer because she just kind of let’s her hands take over, but she is actually pretty good. She is a very skilled and knowledgeable lock-picker.
Intelligence: Alice is book-smart, having grown up with knowledge at her fingertips and a need to learn things beyond school curriculum.
Driving Style: Awful. Don’t let her on the roads, she’ll get you killed.
Favorites, Likes, and Dislikes
Weather: Alice honestly tries to make the most out of any weather, but she does love herself a beautiful, semi-cloudy afternoon.
Color: Yellow, Blue
Music: Indie, electropop, edm
Movies: She can’t sit still long enough to watch them, honestly
TV Shows: She really likes cartoons?? Adult and children shows alike; she likes shows like American Dad but also Adventure Time, for example
Books: Action/adventure or fantasy books are her go-tos!
Magazines: She finds magazines cliche and ridiculous, tbh
Sport: She doesn’t play any, though she’ll watch things like Rugby or Roller Derby for entertainment
Beverage: Tea, tea, and more tea
Food: She’s a big fan of sandwiches and pastries
Animals: Cats and rodents (i.e: hamsters, mice, gerbils, etc)
Quote: “One of the biggest lies we are told is that art has to be pretty and that it has to mean something. Sometimes art’s purpose is just being. It is alright if that is your purpose too.”
School Subject: History
Possession: Her father’s pocket-watch.
Websites: Instagram, TikTok
Favorite Toy or Game: Growing up she used to always love to play hide and seek. It was her absolute favorite - especially when no one knew she was playing. She liked it when people found her and seemed worried, even if it was only temporary and they got angry afterwards. Alice has also always been very good at chess as well as card games.
Family
Father: Thomas Kingsleigh [DECEASED]
Mother: Samantha Kingsleigh [DECEASED]
Father’s Occupation: Owner and CEO of Ascot Trading Industries
Mother’s Occupation: Homemaker
Siblings: One older sister
Birth Order: Youngest
Children: None
Other Close Family: None
Pet: A cat named Dinah
Family’s Financial Status: Extremely Wealthy
Relationship With Family: Alice loved her father, and was very much a “Daddy’s Girl.” She missed him when he was away on long trips and always ran into his arms when he returned, sucking up as much time with him as she could before he had to leave again. Her relationship with her mother was far more strained, as her mother was always nit-picking everything about her and coming down on her too harshly.
Home Life During Childhood: As a child, Alice got picked on a lot by her peers. Mostly, Alice remembers being alone quite a lot, and feeling awfully lonely.
Bedroom Through The Years: Alice’s bedroom in her family home has always been the same. Very pristine with elegant furnishings and little personal decor. When she turned ten, however, she got to pick out new bedding, and chose a fluffy white duvet with blue and yellow flowers sprawled all over it, and matching pillows. Her bedroom in her current apartment is much more personal. Plants and artwork everywhere, lots of books and journals, little trinkets, etc. It’s very light and cozy.
Best Memory: She has a vivid memory of her family taking her on a picnic when she was very, very little. They were in a field of flowers, and her mother read to Alice and her father while they ate and made commentary here and there.
Worst Memory: The death of her parents.
School
Type of Student: Alice is extremely easily distracted, but with the right teacher (or the most strict) she was very focused and did well.
Extra Curricular Activities: Theatre
Best Subject: History
Worst Subject: Math
Popular or Loner: Loner. Even before Alice begun getting home-schooled, she was bullied and harassed a lot by her peers for being a bit odd.

Home: Apartment
Neighborhood: Apartment Complex
Car: None, but she has a bike!
Love Life: Impulsive and sporadic.
Best Friends: TBD
Other Friends: TBD
Enemies: Reina Amador
Past Lovers: Ronald: A boy Alice was foolish enough to snog at a party when she was sixteen and very drunk, and continued to fool around with for about a year and a half. He took her virginity and Alice was very certain she might have loved him. However, he broke up with her when a rumor started circulating that she was a “lesbo,” which grossed him out, and he verbally attacked her. They got into a fight, which ended with her having to be pulled off of him because she was scratching at his face. Elizabeth: Not really a past lover, but Elizabeth is a girl that Alice found herself growing close to at the same parties during which she met Ronald. They would get drunk, dance together, and always found themselves collapsed somewhere laughing by the end of the night if Alice wasn’t with Ron. She could swear she felt sparks with Elizabeth, and that their chemistry was almost tangible. But one night when she was drunk, Alice tried to kiss her, and Elizabeth promptly flipped her lid. She slapped Alice in the face and called her a “freak” and a “lesbo” before running off to tell everyone Alice had tried to force herself on her.

lingerie is an outfit, at least, that's what siri will tell you. she's the queen of wearing a sexy bodysuit beneath a smart set of paints and a jacket. she's very much you can look but don't even try to touch.
she grew up with her mother and the woman she'd call an aunt, but who was really just her mother's best friend. a woman who would become her lifeline into a world she might not have met otherwise. that woman was the manager of the bastion branch in bangkok, and she would raise siri into the perfect little spy. who would suspect the quiet waitress? not a soul. she learned every secret and every pressure point and passed it along. soon enough, siri would happily become the one who dished out punishments for broke rules, a perfect little weapon in a beautiful package.
and that's how the table found her, the perfect recruit for an adjudicator. siri enjoys digging through everything to find the truth, playing words games to confuse anyone she speaks to, and reveling in the power she possesses with the coin in her pocket.
she's a fucking tease and a flirt, she loves control and enjoys toying with people. she'll lead someone on forever only to drop them like a hot cake.
well known for spending a week at a spa, she'll relax and let herself be pampered between jobs until she's satisfied.
only rents fancy sports cars in black anywhere she goes. she'd buy them outright if she stayed somewhere long enough for it to matter, but siri has been moving from place to place since she took her job. moving to london has been an interesting choice, she's eager to see what the city will give her this time.

new fling : more of a will they won’t they. siri is super picky, and she very much likes to play with her food. this will end up as a dalliance sort of thing, no strings attached.
flirtationship : these won’t turn out, siri will just flirt and lead them along. chances for maybe moving otherwise depending on the vibes, but also 100% happy to have this just be a flirty banter sort of thing.
new interests : why she likes them, nobody knows. but siri has taken a liking to these people and they could even become friends of the icy woman.
prior 'associates' : people she’s crossed paths with while working, either they get along or they absolutely do not but it is definitely a story to tell when you’ve seen siri at work.

Keep Your Car Pristine with Detailing & Paint Protection in London
London’s bustling streets and varying weather conditions can impact your vehicle’s exterior. Regular detailing & paint protection in London are crucial for keeping your car in top shape. Car paint correction services in London can restore your car’s shine and provide essential protection against environmental damage.
Why Car Detailing is Essential?
Car detailing is much more than just a regular wash; instead, it's a comprehensive cleaning process that revitalises your vehicle's interior and exterior. Please check out why it’s essential:
Improved Appearance - Detailing eliminates dirt, grime, and minor scratches, offering a polished and immaculate look to your car. It seems like giving your vehicle a makeover that restores its original shine.
Protective Measures – This process involves applying protective treatments like wax and sealants. They can shield your car’s paint from environmental damage, including UV rays, acid rain, and bird droppings.
Improved Resale Value - A well-maintained car looks good and holds its value better. Regular detailing can keep your car in top condition, ensuring you get the best possible price when you decide to sell.
Healthier Environment - The interior detailing can eliminate allergens, bacteria, and dust while creating a cleaner and healthier environment inside your car.
What is The Importance of Paint Protection?
While detailing focuses on cleaning and restoring your car's overall appeal, paint protection is about preserving that look for the long term. Please check out why it’s a must for car owners in London:
Shield Against the Elements - London weather conditions can be harsh, with frequent rain and pollution that can damage your car's paint over time. Paint protection works like a barrier and prevents these elements from causing harm.
Prevention of Minor Damage - Paint protection films or ceramic coatings can protect your car against minor scratches and chips caused by road debris or accidental bumps. They can keep your car exterior looking flawless.
Ease of Maintenance - With paint protection, cleaning your car can be a lot easier. Dirt and grime don’t stick as easily so you can maintain that showroom finish with minimal effort.
Long-Term Savings – You might think that paint protection is an additional expense. But it can save you money in the long run by minimising the possibility of costly repairs and repainting jobs.
In a city like London, your car is constantly exposed to the elements. Regular car detailing and paint protection are essential to keep it looking its best. They enhance your car's appearance and provide necessary protection against environmental damage. Hence, you can keep your vehicle in top condition for years to come.
When it comes to investing in professional detailing and paint protection services in London, you should look no further than Ecoverde Valeting. So, if you want your car to turn heads on the streets of London, make sure it’s protected and impeccably detailed by our trusted professionals.
