Ooh this is actually pretty interesting. Obviously, the team is a little different but that’s what I’m looking for in the new Ultimate universe!

I’m interested in Captain Marvel the most, honestly. It’s clearly not Carol but we know she used to be Captain Marvel in 6160 because it was implied she exploded 🥲 I’m leaning toward it being either Phyla or Genis, mostly Genis only because of the nega bands (or what look like nega bands) on their wrists.

That Star-Lord design is so cool, though! I really like it. But it’s kinda crazy how many new original characters there are, how much did the Maker mess up this world?

in his two captain marvel runs we have two openly sapphic women (moondragon and marlo), a genderfluid pansexual (genis' ex partner, steck’ee), based on that an unlabeled queer genis, an obvious hint at another sapphic woman (phyla) in the last issue, a joke about rick's teenage crush on james brown and his soulmate relationship with genis going far beyond friendship

The Mar-Vell legacy 🥹

I’m so happy this run seems to be focusing more on the Mar-Vell legacy. Genis, Phyla, and Teddy don’t interact much and I’m not sure if we’ve ever seen all three of them together like this. Of course, Genis is, uh, possessed right now, but I’d like to see all three of them hang out after he gets better.

Phyla and Carol having matching outfits is so cute! I’d love for all the Marvels— Carol, Teddy, Genis, Phyla, Kamala, and Monica to have matching uniforms.
