𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟓. Lena appeared at The Futurist Theatre, Scarborough. Mike Yarwood was doing the summer season there.
𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟕. A Daily Mirror reader was concerned after having read that Lena was suffering from Anorexia Nervosa.

I had my YAG laser capsulotomy yesterday. All I can really say is, Wow. I had forgotten how clear my vision used to be. It almost doesn't look real how clear everything is now. And I'm still technically dilated, so everything would normally be a little blurry now. My vision is going to be even clearer by the weekend.
I still can't read, though. Everything within a foot of my face is still blurry, and I have to hold books really close to my face to read them. But the dilation should wear off by tomorrow night.
It was basically like an eye exam with a slit lamp. After getting my eye dilated, I was called back into a small exam room and told to sit in a chair without wheels and put my chin on the chin-rest and look into the machine. After thirty seconds of hearing the machine making noises and her adjusting the position of the slit lamp, she said, "Almost done." I had thought she was just getting everything calibrated. The entire procedure took less than a minute.
I've been visually walking through increasingly thickening fog since August, unable to read or draw since October, unable to go outside on bright days without being practically blinded by the glare, and it took less than a minute to fix.
