I love finding hearts out in nature for you. This one is to send you some love. Love like a hug and love like a wish. A wish that your day becomes exactly what you need. Calm and comfortable. A wild adventure. Something exciting. Something familiar and fun. Whatever you need. Keep looking. You'll find it.

LOTD: Cape Henlopen (lost)
~sorry for delay - meant for August 18th, 2023~
Cape Henlopen
(1767-1924), Delaware Bay entrance. The loss of this historic 93 ft (28.5 m) octagonal stone tower was a great tragedy. Huelse has a historic postcard view and a 1922 postcard photo shows the light station shortly before its collapse due to beach erosion. There is no longer a light on the cape. ARLHS USA-120.

I’ve been dealing with some really bad writers block for MONTHS
Which I’m very sorry for my lacking contribution to the gay
But I finally figured out why, and it’s the dumbest reason ever.
The Cape Henlopen.
The Cape Henlopen is a WW2 LST that runs as a ferry in New England, which is a boat I work on, and where I did most of my writing while on watch.
Well the cape went into the ship yard right after I posted the last most recent chapter of Crash Landing.
Well she’s out of the yard now and the writers block went away.
So, more coming soon.

For the 80th anniversary of D-Day, one of the few surviving ships from the invasion fleet, the USS LST-510, which is shown here in these photos around 1944 and in 2020. The ship landed tanks at Normandy, and after the war it was converted into civilian use as a ferry. Now named the Cape Henlopen, it still operates daily, carrying passengers and vehicles between Long Island and New London, Connecticut.
