Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer / Ripto’s Rage - Canyon Speedway:
“Last speedway of the game and it’s a decent one. It may be the last one but it’s one of the easiest, because of how linear it is. Even the Hunter’s mission is quite fun.”
PS: the gameplay used for this gifset is not mine. The original video belongs to the user: EtherealCrisp, on Youtube.

This time we complete Winter Tundra, fly a UFO in Canyon Speedway and survive platypuses in Mystic Marsh.
Spyro is a classic series of action adventure platforming games where you play as a little dragon collecting gems and jumping around. The Reignited Trilogy remasters these games for modern platforms giving us pretty new graphics while keeping true to the fun of the originals. We're still a little dragon and we're still collecting gems.

Different types of Arcade Games
Classic High Score games:
Pac-Man
Tumblr media
Pan-Man is a high score game where you play as a large ball with a pie cut mouth that eats tiny pellets while trying to avoid ghosts named Inky(cyan), Pinky(self-explanatory), Blinky(red) and Clyde(orange). You collect fruit as well which gives you more points upon collection. Power pellets are larger regular pellets which allow you to eat the ghosts and send them back to their starting point for a short period of time.
Space Invaders
Tumblr media
Space Invaders is a high score game where your goal is to shoot waves of aliens which trying not to get killed by their projectiles. Quite a simple concept, you go until you die.
Qbert
Tumblr media
Q*bert is a high score puzzle game where you play as a cute little orange guy. In order to progress levels, you need to navigate the pyramid to complete levels by changing the colours of the cubes to make them all the same. The levels progress in difficulty by adding enemies you need to expertly avoid.
Shooters:
Terminator 2: Judgment day (the arcade game, not the movie)
Tumblr media
You play as a T-800 trying to save John Connor and his mother Sarah from a T-1000. The game takes you through John's childhood and further along in the past they launch an attack on Cyberdyne Systems to stop the creation of Skynet. The game has two endings, one saying you have prevented Judgement day (This only occurs if you destroy all of the equipment during the Cyberdyne Systems thing), or that Judgment Day is still possible (if you didn't achieve that.)
Area 51
Tumblr media
Area 51 is an arcade game set in the military base with the same name. You play as a character who works in a team called the Special Tactical Advanced Alien Response (STAAR, I feel like Resident Evil took some inspiration from this because they have S.T.A.R.S which is Special Tactics and Rescue Service.) In this game, you fight aliens and genetically modified zombie soldiers. The game features an upgrade system to your gun where if you get hit by the enemy, your gun will return to the basic pistol.
Time Crisis
Tumblr media
Time Crisis is a 3 dimensional arcade game where there is a unique feature of ducking behind cover to reload and avoid enemy fire. For this, they made a pedal on the arcade machine itself that toggles the hide function. The game has three stages, each stage has three areas and a boss battle. You need to complete battles in order to progress through the game.
Racing Games:
Daytona USA
Tumblr media
Daytona is a racing game in which the player drives a stock car called the hornet and can pick from three different tracks which will give a different amount of opponents depending on the maps difficulty level. Three Seven Speedway is beginner, Dinosaur Canyon is advanced and Seaside Street Galaxy is expert. Adaptive difficulty is used, during your first lap it sees how good you are at the game and then the AI opponents will reflect it, if you have a hard time they will leave lanes open for you whereas if you are good the opponents will try to block you.
Crazy Taxi
Tumblr media
In this game you race against time to take your customers to their destinations. You earn money if you get to the destination under a time limit and can do stunts to earn more money.
OutRun
Tumblr media
In this game you have a set time limit to reach the finish line. The camera position limits your view of the road ahead and prevents you from seeing obstacles until they get close, meaning you have to act quickly to avoid losing the game.
Fighting Games:
Mortal Kombat
Tumblr media
Mortal Kombat is a game for 1-2 players where you select a character and then fight to see who can defeat the other twice. The game is now heavily story driven but the old arcade ones had much less story and was more like the tower modes in the more recent games. This game was the reason they had to add age ratings to games because of how violent it is.
Street Fighter
Tumblr media
Much like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter is a game for 1-2 players where you fight until someone wins twice. This game also has a story.
Marvel vs Capcom
Tumblr media
Marvel Vs Capcom is again like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, however this one does not contain a story mode. You fight this game like the towers in newer Mortal Kombats (I think, I've not seen much gameplay).
Interactive Games:
Air Hockey
Tumblr media
In this interactive game you play against a friend to get the puck into a small slit on their side. You use two special controllers of sorts that you knock the puck with to push it. Whoever gets more goals wins.
Basketball
Tumblr media
Basketball machines require you to get as many points as you can in a limited amount of time, the more hoops you score the more points you get.
2p Machines
Tumblr media
These ones are my favorite. You get 2ps and put them in two slits to try and push out prizes. There isn't really any strategy, but it's very enticing and makes you spend a lot of money for what you want to win.

Racing meets are frequently conducted close to well-known fishing locations. This fosters a conversational atmosphere where people may exchange tales of their day's catch and the thrill of racing victories. Spyro Reignited Trilogy Skill Points Guide (Part 2)
Since I posted a guide for achievements I figured it'd make sense to do one for the in game ones as well! Here is the Skill Point guide with screenshots from me!
Tumblr media
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Skill Points
Quick color code: Flight Levels, Boss levels
Idol Springs
After completing the Idol Springs level there is an area with a supercharge ramp but don't jump down, there is a ledge to the left of Spyro. Glide to it and jump across the platforms until you get to the ledge in the second screenshot. After getting to the ledge you need to jump onto the big idol head pictured below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Colossus
In the hockey minigame you need to get a perfect score 5-0 to get this SP
Hurricos
Bash and destroy each windmill, they're pretty open and not hard to miss but make sure you check everywhere so you don't miss any.
Aquaria Towers
After completing the level and killing enough enemies you unlock the superflame buff and need to use it to destroy seaweed in the image below (there is 11 in total that need to be destroyed). If you feel like beating the game to get the end to get the permanent superflame that works too.
Tumblr media
Ocean Speedway (Flight Level)
Complete the speedway in under a minute and 10 seconds. Play through the level a few times to get the hang of it.
Crush's Dungeon(Boss Fight)
Similar to the first games boss achievements, beat the boss fight without taking any damage from the boss himself.
Skelos Badlands
At the end of the level is a few stairs, climb them to find four flying cats and defeat them with the lava rocks on the ground.
Also in Skelos Badlands is some cacti(7) flame them all to destroy them and get the point
Tumblr media
Scorch
Charge all 7 palm trees in the level, they're everywhere and not hard to spot so don't worry
Fracture Hills
At the end of the level (and after killing enough enemies) you unlock the supercharge powerup, use this and lap around it three times to get this skill point. It might take some time to get it down but you can do it!
Icy Speedway (Flight Level)
Similar to Ocean Speedway you need to complete it under a minute and 15 seconds.
Metro Speedway (Flight Level)
Similar to Ocean Speedway you need to complete it under a minute and 15 seconds.
Gulp's Overlook (Boss Fight)
Same as all the other boss fights, don't take any damage.
When in Gulp's fight, you can shoot Ripto with one of the rockets.
Canyon Speedway (Flight Level)
Complete the speedway in under a minute and 10 seconds. Play through the level a few times to get the hang of it.
Ripto's Arena (Boss Fight)
Same as all the other boss fights, don't take any damage.
Second one down!!! Third will be posted tomorrow and then we can start on some other games, thank you all for supporting me!

The last weekend of SRO Motorsports America racing in 2024 receives a huge boost in star power as world-renowned actor Keanu Reeves will compete in this weekend’s Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America finale – his first motor race in over 14 years.
Reeves will drive the #92 Eagles Canyon Racing by Fast Track Toyota GR86 in a pair of sprint races on Saturday and Sunday, 5/6 October. The car will feature a red and black livery promoting his graphic novel, BRZRKR.
Tumblr media
The Canadian actor is an avid enthusiast of motorsport. Reeves was the presenter of the four-part documentary Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story and has been a guest of honour in the paddocks of F1, MotoGP, and IndyCar throughout the years.
Reeves drove in the 2009 and 2010 editions of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race at Long Beach, winning the Celebrity class in 2009 and receiving a promotion to the Pro category the following year. That was the last time Reeves has run in an organised motor race.
Since then, Reeves has gone on to star in the John Wick series of action films, reprised his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrections, and published the first chapter of BRZRKR in 2021 alongside co-writer Matt Kindt and illustrator Ron Garney.
Reeves is one of two celebrity drivers competing at Indianapolis this weekend, part of a 34-car field.
Eagles Canyon and Fast Track’s other celebrity driver is Cody Jones from the action sports and entertainment troupe Dude Perfect, which has over 60 million subscribers on YouTube.
Tumblr media
Nicknamed “Tall Man”, the 6’6″ Jones’ sanctioned racing debut in the #29 GR86 was the prize for winning a go-kart racing challenge at this year’s Formula One Australian Grand Prix against three of his fellow troupe members.
Reeves and Jones will be pitted against a strong field of drivers young and old, including the newly-crowned GR Cup North America Champion Gresham Wagner.
Wagner, the driver of the #5 Copeland Motorsports GR86, clinched the series championship last round at Barber Motorsports Park. At the Brickyard, Wagner will look to add to his eight wins on the season – before heading to Road Atlanta to try and win the Mazda MX-5 Cup championship.
Second place in the championship is still up for grabs between Wagner’s team-mate, Westin Workman (another driver running dual GR Cup/MX-5 Cup campaigns) and Spike Kohlbecker of TechSport Racing. Workman enters the final weekend of the season six points ahead of Kohlbecker.
Jaxon Bell, the son of 2015 IMSA GTD Champion and 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Townsend Bell, is fourth in the championship.
Tumblr media
Another guest driver of note is Miki Koyama from Japan, driving the #75 Hattori Motorsports GR86 in partnership with Japan’s all-female KYOJO Cup Series.
Koyama, the inaugural KYOJO Cup champion in 2017 and 2018, became the first woman to win the FIA Formula Regional Japanese Championship title in 2022 – and last week, driving a Lexus RC F GT3, she became the first woman to take overall victory in a Super Taikyu Series race since 1993.
Koyama is one of four women in the field, joining Mia Lovell, Jade Avedisian, and Maddie Aust. Lovell is the series’ top female driver  (10th in overall points and the top-ranked woman in nine out of 12 races) – and Avedisian, a Toyota-backed prospect of the open-wheel oval circuit, finished second in last weekend’s BC39 sprint car race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway dirt track.
