GODDO - Tough Times
youtube
Fool...
I used to be a bad boy
Never did what I was told
A snotty nosey mad boy
I could be bought and sold
But I grew into a bad man
With no feeling of regret;
No regrets!
A man whos been a high man
And one who won't forget

This is how you remind me Of what I really am This is how you remind me Of what I really am
It's not like you to say "Sorry" I was waiting on a different story This time, I'm mistaken For handing you a heart worth breaking
And I've been wrong, I've been down Been to the bottom of every bottle These five words in my head Scream, "Are we having fun yet?"
Not your usual Sunday easy listening perhaps, but I’m having a sort of nostalgia playlist, with (now) old songs of my early teens, so Nickleback had to be part of this. Also, How You Remind Me was playing at the little roadside station we stopped out on our way back to Auckland from Whangārei, so maybe it stuck in my mind!

Hi! I saw your moonknight posts and thought I'd take the chance to say hi!
Our band is equally huge fans of moonknight and wrote a song about it called LUNUIT (french for moon night)
I wanted to share it with someone who might love it as much as we do!
No pressure, thank you for reading!
Have a great day

↳ hey guys!! use these accounts to reach out to them if you like this song; they have a ton of music available on quite a few listening platforms (i like their Spotify account best!).
HELLO?!
okay, first off- this is the most unusual ‘ask’ i’ve ever received- just because- y’know- it’s not everyday you get a fucking BAND asking you to listen to THEIR song about MOONKNIGHT?!
my first impression of the song was instantly amazed at the actual togetherness of it all. i’ve heard a LOT of small bands that…well- aren’t that good. i gave your whole discography a listen, however, and i thoroughly enjoyed quite a bit of it!
(pardonnez mon français approximatif, mais j'apprécie aussi la reconnaissance d'une de mes langues maternelles comme titre ♥️)
i immediately added it to my Steven Grant playlist, too.
much love from NYC, man- you guys are definitely worth checking out.

It's been one week since you looked at me Threw your arms in the air and said, "You're crazy" Five days since you tackled me I've still got the rug burns on both my knees It's been three days since the afternoon You realized it's not my fault not a moment too soon Yesterday, you'd forgiven me And now I sit back and wait 'til you say you're sorry
I am revisiting Barenaked Ladies' discography, and I've been listening to One Week on repeat. It does take a few to remember the words in the right order, eh? And it's a fun song to listen to, too! Happy Friday, friends; I hope you've all had a good week!

Frontman, Taka, of Japanese pop rock band, ONE OK ROCK, joins us on this episode of The Adamantium Podcast. We discuss their last album, Luxury Disease, it’s more rock heavy direction, and collaborating with artists such as Ed Sheeran, and Toronto’s own, Grandson. We also talk about their Premonition Tour, their love for Toronto and it’s culture, creating multiple versions of songs for different fan bases, performing at the legendary Tokyo Dome, their connection to the Rurouni Kenshin films, being apart of Knotfest, performing with Linkin Park at the Chester Bennington Tribute Show, and their upcoming new material.

As much as I love Canadian bands it sucks to like them sometimes because the more obscure ones like Trooper or April Wine or Loverboy have so few posts made about them and nobody really talks about them. Also on the topic, I am so fascinated by how bands so well known around here aren’t known at all across the world. Like, Glass Tiger or Platinum Blonde get very decent radio play around here—but I doubt that none outside of Canada would know who they are. The same goes for Trooper and in some ways Kim Mitchell. Only bands like Rush and The Guess Who out of all of the Canadian classic rock bands out there (particularly from the 70s-80s) are known fairly well outside of Canada. It makes me sad that I can’t find Trooper or Loverboy posts, likely because they’re names of some more popular thing.
