Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I got a fairphone (with the /e/ os by murena) because of your reblog earlier this year and I'm really enjoying it! Not being tracked or having to log into a google account (I deleted mine!) is great. The camera isn't *great* and I can't send large images or videos in messages because it doesn't support my carrier's advanced messaging whatever the hell, but I would not want to go back. Just wanted to share!

thats awesome! im glad to hear good reviews. as cool as the concept is and as much as i want one i havent seen any in the wild

ive been exploring what i could put together with calyxos app wise so i know what to grab when my phone eats the dust but its still working. i might give will my phone when theirs dies and grab one but thats still probably a year or two away

So for anyone trying alternative browsers a little warning about Mull: it may have some issues with dynamic image rendering for you But this might also be an issue with me using CalyxOS or something stranger, I only mention this because I have kind of recommended Mull and will probably continue to do so.

My smart watch, a fossil hybrid (out of production), never showed me the weather without precise location. Like, they had to know what corner of the room I'm in to tell me what the weather was.

I have a google pixel fold. I flashed a degoogled OS on it called CalyxOS and one of the features that I love is that you can lie to the app that you're giving it precise location while keeping it approximate.

Turns out the appropriate location weather works just fine. :3

You know I'm gonna be honest. I don't think all these apps really need access to my precise location

Got my new phone (refurbished) and I'm going to install CalyxOS on it. But first my hard drive needed to die (reasonable) so now I'm heading into work to use my work pc and fix my home pc later. I took today off just to be there for the delivery and so I could spend all day setting it up.
