Saturday, May 13th  - Jazz N Soul Music welcomes back The Calvin Edwards Trio for a Saturday night show.   Prepare for a night of Blues and Jazz with shot of Soul! Jazz guitarist, singer and songwriter Calvin Edwards brings his dynamic trio to Ellas’s Speakeasy inside The Morehead Tavern.

Born in Kings Mountain N.C., At 17, he joined the famous Gospel group Five Blind Boys of Alabama for many years. Calvin is also a well-known international artist who has performed in Okinawa, Tokyo, and China.  He  has performed for dignitaries at the G8 Summit which included former President Bill Clinton.

Jazz guitarist, singer and songwriter Calvin Edwards brings his dynamic trio to Prime@6538 in the University area of Charlotte. Calvin is a well-known international artist who has performed in Okinawa, Tokyo, and China as well as performing for the G8 Summit for President Clinton in Okinawa. At 17, he joined the famous Gospel group Five Blind Boys of Alabama for many years. Join us for a night of Smokin' Blues, Soul, and Jazz! All tickets are $15.00 at the Door. It all happens at Prime@6538 located convientently located in University City. Don't miss a chance to experience real Jazz and Soul music the way it was meant to be played. The concert will be held in the showroom upstairs. Parking Information FREE Parking is available onsite at Prime@6538 in the lot in rear of the building. Additional FREE Public Parking is available, in the lots adjacent to the club. Club is located right across the street from the Thomas Hunter Lynx Blue Line stop so jump on the Blue Line and come on down!

1st Friday success

Jazz N Soul Music concert series held court with Calvin Edwards.  He is a musical champion on the stage.  A confident bold player that can even make a trio powerful.  He was accompanied by a veteran bass player and a young talented drummer who was ready to the task.
