Jazz N Soul Music welcomes back The Calvin Edwards Trio performing a blend of Soul and Jazz that will keep you entertained all night long! Jazz guitarist and Soul singer and songwriter Calvin Edwards brings his dynamic trio to The Loft and Cellar in Uptown Charlotte. Calvin is a well-known international artist who has performed in Okinawa, Tokyo, and China as well as performing for the G8 Summit for President Clinton in Okinawa. At 17, he joined the famous Gospel group Five Blind Boys of Alabama for many years. Join us for a night of Smokin' Blues, Soul, and Jazz! It all happens at the Loft & Cellar in beautiful Uptown Charlotte! Don't miss a chance to experience real Jazz, Soul, and Blues music the way it was meant to be played. Two Shows: 7:00pm (Early Show) and 9:30p (Late Show) Dinner will be served during the show, so arrive early to secure the best tables. Doors Open at 6:15pm for the Early show and at 8:45pm for the late show. Accomplished musician, vocalist, producer and visionary, JOSEPH a Columbia, SC native began his quest in music at age 3. The growing musician was afforded many opportunities to record and perform with many mainstream gospel artist early on. Such as; John P. Kee, Daryl Coley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, David Allen, Sam Obie, Kenyatta Carrington and Dorlisa Gales.
He began to experience rapid growth as a musician, taking his talent on "the road" with Darrell McFadden and The Fantastic Disciples of New York, and The 4 time Grammy winners, The Blind Boys of Alabama. Joseph's musical stylings are compared to that of Thomas Whitfield, Rance Allen and a few others. Versed in gospel, R&B, Jazz and Soul, he furthered his studies briefly with Berklee School of The Arts in Boston, MASS concentrating on Music Theory and Improvisation. "Music is the souls expression, the universal language, I want to speak loudly and clearly".

The Jazz N Soul Music hosts with Red Diamond Event Hall of Pineville, NC  a musical showcase featuring performances by songstress extraordinaire Gena Chambers and Ken Gober with special guest Paul Dixon.  The night will include heavy hors'doerves, a cash bar, and lots of surpises all night. Concluding with DJ that will have you dancing to your vehicles.  The show is Saturday, June 30th at 8pm. Gena Chambers From the time she was old enough to speak she has been singing. Music was deep in her soul and was waiting to come out. She was reared in a musical family and grew up singing in the church choir. With her unique vocal styling and versatility in singing different genres of music, she was performing at all of the local hotspots. She has become known all over the city as the hottest newcomer.  She also had a theatrical debut in Tyler Perry’s gospel musical ‘I Know I’ve Been Changed’ as Ellen, one of the leading roles.
Ken Gober Ken has been in the music industry for more than a decade, working his way from Northwest Indiana and the Chicago stages; to the Atlanta music scene in the 90’s; and finally around the world touring with the international show band “Exotique.” His vocal styles range from smooth jazz to pop to R&B to gospel. Whether performing on large stages, intimate venues or cabaret rooms, Ken has had the opportunity of sharing his musical talents worldwide. Whether it’s in a large arena, an intimate room, with a band or just a piano, Ken’s smooth voice and inspiring melodies will always remind you that music is a special gift given to the world and when done right it can change the atmosphere!

Saxophonist Dante Lewis has been wowing audiences throughout the Carolinas since the age of 12 with an unmistakably passionate sound. In addition to the Low Country Jazz Festival where he met Nick Colionne, Lewis has performed at other high profile venues, including opening for Jonathan Butler as part of the Charlotte, NC jazz series, the Cool Jazz Cruise, and Charlotte’s Bearden Birthday Bash.
