Here you go @joshithekitsune ! Thank you for being patient with me in waiting. Finals are finally over lol. It was a lot of fun to draw Callia and her family - I went for a family portrait vibe since Cackletta seems to be the type to want a fancy portrait (which passed down to Fawful). Antasma is going along with it while Callia gets center stage. I love Callia’s design and I think their family dynamic would be so cute! Thank you for being flexible and asking me to draw! I’m glad you like my art and I hope you like this piece.

Listing from the least lonely to the loneliest alters that I’m aware of in the system:

Least lonely:

Maddie, the little of the system. Everyone takes care of him and loves him, he’s never alone.

Dorcas, he’s always with someone, either taking care of them or just being there for them, and he always gets to see his girlfriend.

Alex, he’s always around Maddie or Dorcas or Kaonashi.

Neither lonely nor not lonely:

Kaonashi, he doesn’t really mind either way, so he never really feels lonely.

Callus, in her words she’s too busy to feel lonely.

Marie, she sometimes feels lonely but she doesn’t mind that much.

Lonely whether they are or not.

NUV and her daughters. They live in the attic, rarely come out and are always lonely despite having each other; but push the rest of us away.

Loneliest of them all:

Fern, not always alone per se, but always feeling lonely and unable to fully connect to others. Sometimes forgotten by the others.

Zayn. Forgotten by others a lot of the time, except by Fern as they cohost and blend so much they’ve created their own little space in the manor. Isn't sure if he's in a relationship with Dorcas anymore despite being told he is. Can’t really see his boyfriend that much, sometimes feels like he doesn’t care about him at all anyway because he never really asks to see him, despite being told he's loved by him. Has the hardest time connecting to others and making his needs heard. Feels like a burden all the time. For this reason he usually just keeps to the rose garden, the little conservatory he's created with Fern, and the bay window.

Both him and Fern are the most depressed, showing most of the passive BPD traits, the most suicidal, the most prone to falling bad into autodestructive and unhealthy habits, and are the most vulnerable of the whole system, hence the most prone to getting abused. Yet they’re the ones who front the most. They are the loneliest alters and probably will remain like that forever.

Maddock/Prince Sandalwood is completely isolated from the rest of the system, but he doesn’t care, he just wants to live in his own world and is happy there.

The Second Foundation threatens the Nation and all of Creation!

I drew this to celebrate 200 followers and 1 year since I got super invested in Asimov's books!! I love the turns that the plot of Second Foundation takes, and it has some of my favourite scenes in basically all of literature. I hope I managed to capture some of that energy here-

The barebones of it is just my desire to see Mashita being very cute towards Yashiki! I want him to nuzzle into his cheek and being very clingy!! But also not be in a relationship with each other just yet because pining Mashita is very cute! If anyone has any ideas to contribute please do because it really is just a lil' silly scenario in my head. Here is how I would think it happened:

Fox spirit was no longer around when Mashita came back. After setting the statue however, nothing else seemed to happen so they both retired for the night in their own rooms in the Kujou mansion. Except then in the morning this happens:

What do you think Callia's relationship with her parents could be like? I just wanna see your spin on it. I have a feeling Cackletta would be this strict but loving mom who do anything to protect her baby. (Especially from the Mario Bros). As for Antasma, most male bats usually don't give a shit about their pups but as a father figure, his job is to teach his little princess about the world itself.

Actually, they originally weren't planning on having kids at all. Cackletta herself thought she's "too old" to have any kids and proceeds to fuck with some ancient bat without any protection. She was devastatingly wrong. It turns out vampires can still reproduce, (due to a longer life span). Antasma didn't tell her this. Fawful and Cackletta weren't really happy with the results. Well done, 'Tas. 🙄 (Perhaps he wanted to teach his wife the consequences: think before you do anything else, I guess)?

So yeah, that's how they ended up with Callia! Just wanted to share some lore with you as a treat. I hope you like it! 🤭

Basically, Cackletta and Antasma have opposite parenting styles and it can be a lot for Callia.

When Cackletta found out she was pregnant, she was in disbelief. She thought there was a mistake. But her magic confirmed it, she was pregnant. She tells Callia how she sat on the toilet in complete shock. And when Fawful found out and especially that Antasma knew this would happen, he definitely was planning to kill Antasma. Cackletta stopped Fawful from doing that and she wanted to raise the kid. This started Callia’s realization that she was a mistake and made her wonder if anyone loved her.

Cackletta, having experience raising Fawful, tells Callia that even if she was a mistake, Fawful was a mistake too* and she doesn’t love him any less. Surprise children are free servants.

* Cackletta didn’t birth Fawful. She adopted him from a shithole town called Favaville. Shroobs later destroyed the town and were about to kill Fawful but she saved him and adopted him - she didn’t expect the adoption but felt sentimental (though she’s hard pressed to admit it)

That made Callia feel half better. At least she’s not the only one.

Cackletta is the more involved of the two parents. She’s strict and doesn’t tolerate nonsense. She expects Callia to address her as the Great Cackletta, expects her clothing to be clean, wants her in bed by 8 pm, wants her to do her homework, ensure her handwriting is clear and legible, and expects proper manners at the dinner table. Thankfully she teaches Callia these rules. Still the expectations are high; it’s alot for a small child. Fawful tells her that this is actually Cackletta being chill. She was far worse when Fawful was a kid.

Cackletta teaches Callia magic and how to play the organ pipes.

Callia also enjoys Cackletta’s stories about her adventures. She wishes Cackletta would let her have fun more.

Antasma definitely doesn’t know what he’s doing. He thought he wouldn’t have to raise Callia but threats from Cackletta and Fawful were enough to get him involved.

He’s a chill dad to Callia. There are 0 rules with him. Callia gets to eat all the candy she wants, stay up as late as possible, and touch everything. She can make all the food she wants in the kitchen.

The downside is that if Callia isn’t feeling well, is demanding too much, or is about to get in danger, Antasma isn’t much help. She suffers the natural consequences. When Cackletta hears about it she takes care of Calia and then screams at Antasma.

Cackletta keeps a strict timetable for everything in Callia’s life. She has all the documents stored.

Cackletta also gives Callia a bunch of chores like dusting, decluttering, weeding the gardens, feeding the pets, cleaning the potion glass bottles, cleaning floors and then cleaning the bristles of the brooms.

This is overwhelming for Callia especially so young. These are times when she wants to be with Antasma but she knows Cackletta will take care of her. Meanwhile Antasma gives her no responsibilities and says yes to anything she wants, but she has to figure everything out herself.

Basically, Cackletta gives far too much discipline while Antasma doesn’t give enough. Being with Cackletta can be suffocating while being with Antasma gives no structure.

When Callia wants an escape from her parents’ extreme parenting styles, she hangs out with Fawful whenever he comes around. They make deals with each other. If Callia steals Cackletta’s magic flour or Antasma’s money, he’ll send out cleaning robots to do her chores so she gets free time. Fawful is a good mix between Cackletta and Antasma.

Putting Callia and Fawful together is every parent’s worst nightmare - they are two gremlins out to commit arson. Fawful is chaotic while Callia is a half vampire and half witch who can cast magic. They cause so much chaos in town and have burnt buildings to the ground. They’ve also explored the Mushroom Kingdom and met a bunch of Fawful’s friends. They visit the shady parts of towns a lot and sell badges and other things. Sometimes she helps out in schemes. Callia cherishes these memories.

Callia realizes Fawful is traumatized as he’s had full on mental breakdowns in front of her. Not only from the Shroobs and Mario Bros, but feeling restricted under Cackletta and then losing her (so he never got to reconcile with her), and now being careful since he’s afraid Cackletta will vanish again if he gets involved with her. And he’s iffy about Antasma since he is too passive and tries to do nothing which pisses Fawful off since he’s had to work for everything he’s ever had his whole life. It breaks Callia and makes her question everything.

As Callia gets older, she starts arguing with her parents. She wishes Cackletta was less strict and trusted her more while she wishes Antasma was more structured and stepped in if she was overwhelmed. The arguments got bad until Callia lost it and said she’d rather run away and live with Fawful than to spend another second with them. She goes as far to say she wishes Fawful parented her instead.

This got Cackletta and Antasma to reconsider their parenting. Callia laid it straight what they did wrong, and Fawful does the same when they ask what happened. Since he’s busy as hell, he makes them work out their issues.

Cackletta, Antasma, and Callia talk it out. Cackletta realizes how strict she was and plans to ease the extreme stuff and see that Callia is responsible. Antasma sees how little he actually knows Callia. Callia sees why both parents are the way they are and that she can’t try to escape her issues. Rather she needs to confront them.

Everything improves. Cackletta is more reasonable while Antasma is more involved. Callia communicates better.

The whole family starts to have more and more fun and get into more evil schemes.

Here’s what I imagine so far. I hope you like my spin on it.

M: ...You won't be vulnerable with her anymore will you? D:... No, I can't trust her to be able to handle someone else's vulnerability like that.

M: What about him? D: With their drywall walls? No way.

M: And of course neither with them, hm? F: ...No. Which leaves me... I dunno where. I don't know where I'm standing... again.

M: Being vulnerable takes guts, but you also have to know if the person you're being vulnerable to is okay with it.

D, Z, F: How if they never open up about it?

M: Ask?

F: yeah, right, people rarely are honest about that if they know you'll feel hurt with their answer... specially chronic people pleasers, I should know, I'm one...

M: So now what...?

F: I don't know... It's already hard enough for me to manage what happened and coming back from it...

M: Wanna break up?

F: No.

D: Me neither...

M: Then...?

Z: Give them time. It's not easy for any of us, neither of us know what's gonna happen now...

C: This is just consequences of decisions taken, children.

M:... it's still not fair at all because we were working with just HALF of the information.

F: we were too self-centered to ask.

M:... to my recollection we always made sure that they knew they could stop the conversation if it was too much, eh? Not our fault neither did it!

C: Your feelings of anger are valid, Marie... But human interaction just isn't like that...

M:... No need to tell me something that I've come to learn the very hard way...

F: It's just so lonely, Callia... And I'm scared of talking too much now... I'm not trying to victimize myself, it's just... I'm scared...

D: Me, too... And I was just barely, you know... opening up myself... I'm angry, too, so I understand Marie as well...

C: Let's just use this as out venting place, then. Nobody really reads it, and nobody really cares even if they do, right? So let's just pour our hearts and souls in here and show them a bright smiles and tons of love, hm?

M: Don't count me in on the smile and love. You know how I feel about most people and interacting with them, only brings trouble... but I won't bottle my anger up, I'll work on it and try and help Dorcas with it as well, just don't expect me to be Miss Sunshine and Rainbows.

Z: You never are, Marie... C: Fern...? F: Yeah, I'll try... C: Okay, some semblance of an agreement was made then.

K: ... it's not gonna last, you'll see.

I keep thinking about bodyguard Mashita trying to talk to Masamune, only for him to be intimidated by Mashita's social skills (they both have non existent social skills). Masamune trying to run away cuz he doesn't like talking to people but being middly intruigued by mr policeman

In my headcanon, Masamune's awkwardness is to either outright ignore or try his best to end the convo as soon as possible, vs Yashiki's willingness to try and continue any conversation to be polite but also slowly try to steer it to ending as soon as possible (and failing, goddamnit Yashiki).

Tfw when you're trying your best to avoid everyone by looking busy and sticking close to your sister, but you keep stealing glances at the hot mr policeman across the room (who is also stealing glances at you.)

But oh my god when he's approached by Mr. Policeman he would definitely absolutely try to slowly move away from the hall into a more secluded part or even outside to the gardens (Where gasp! mr policeman can find him easily and talk to him by his lonesome oh no)
