They were just passing by the Lufou, but then Kafka manipulated them into helping , and it turns out they needed the Lufou’s help anyways during the mission in Penacony.

It frustrates him , it makes him want to tear out his hair and scream and cry .He never got a chance of choosing his own story , he always was acting out the play , never writing it.

You watched him mentally tear his self esteem down , your heart wrenching, but never knowing if it was appropriate to talk to him , to tell him it’s going to be alright.

You were a new addition to the astral express , and were really unsure of how you could help . You seemed to have a positive effect on the others , cheering them up with the right words , but you didn’t know if you could talk to Caelus about the Stellaron hunters because he had the closet connection and hatred towards them.

So you didn’t talk , You moved.

You stood in front of him when they arrived , you fought for him when he couldn’t due to tears and Kafka’s Sprit Whisper. You did the missions that involved them , you asked questions for him.

In the end , it was still useless .

Caelus fell into a state of depression , one where he looked around the party car , occasionally the parlor car , and just sat there . Looking at the stars, wishing for his story to end.

It made you feel… tired

Resentful.

You wanted to kill them.

And so , when you had a break from tracking down the stellaron hunters , you talked with him after all this time .

You talked about his room , his collection, his weird affinity for trash cans , his clothes , his likings , his weird recipes for the Omni-synthesizer , everything.

And eventually , his eyes started lighting up and his eyes had that lovely golden light in them again.

He got better , eventually finding the will to fight again .

Without realizing it , you had devoted yourself to him . You would throw yourself out in front of a blade headed for Caelus and wouldn’t regret it.

He’s everything.

You knew what had to be done.

You had to end this never ending story for him.

All of your work would be for nothing if he continued to fall into that state .

So you continued with that sacrificial nature of yours , continuing to live for him , to fight for him , to yell for him and protect him.

But you didn’t think about yourself and things you cared for.

So when the stage curtain fell ,the stellaron hunters gone, you fell alongside it , hearing a muffled shout and the clatter of your weapon hitting the ground.

The last thing you saw was a mop of grey hair, concerned , bright golden eyes , and felt an arm holding you up , your consciousness fading.

You ended the show for him.

But at what cost?

You floated in and out of your headspace , sometimes gaining enough mental strength to pull yourself out to see Caelus at your bedside , only for him to coax you into resting for a little bit more.

When you finally woke up for good , a hand was clasped with yours , and you locked eyes with amber ones , slowly widening.

You saw his eyes narrow in anger and you look away before letting out a soft,”Hi…”

You watch his lips press together before hearing him sigh , gently pressing your hand to his forearm and then looking up .

Just as you were about to apologize, he begins to speak.

“Hi. Did you sleep well?”

You nod , gently smiling at him , but before you can divert the conversation to a topic where he wouldn’t pry at your decisions, he asks first.

“Just what… Were you thinking ? “

You sheepishly look away .

He looks at you with those eyes of his , making your resolve start chipping away.

Before you can start making up excuses, he talks first.

“Nevermind , you shouldn’t be talking any way , you should be resting .”

Your eyes brighten , elated at the fact that you don’t have to explain yourself and got a free pass , but before you can bask in your joy , he says something that makes you freeze.

“Just promise me that you won’t do something like that ever again.”

You lock eyes , seeing that he was being serious , you smiled , and told him ,

“Promise.”

“You sure????”

You laugh before smirking and tell him,

-he appreciates March for her actions, especially as you knew her actions well enough to know he was getting jealous and insecure to who you were talking to.

He’s rather protective of the plushie. Someone once tried to take it and well… he almost stuffed them in the coffin. Lmao jk.

Yanqing gets super excited around your birthday. He's heading to every shop trying to find something that you'll like. He settles on some little trinket he saw that reminded him of you and puts a little ribbon on it so you know it's a present.

He loves to celebrate holidays for couples. They're super special days because every day with him is special, but he does go out of his way a little bit to surprise you with something. Could even be food, as long as you're surprised and smiling.

You were thrilled when March excitedly told you that Caelus was getting his own room on the express—especially such a spacious one! Putting him in the storage room was quite a good idea. It almost made you curse yourself for not thinking of it sooner.

You were slightly less thrilled when he dragged you into renovating it with him. Sure, you were handy enough and the task of decorating on its own wasn’t a daunting one, but add having to help Caelus do it to the mix and suddenly it didn’t seem like such a good idea.

Everyone knows that you two adore each other. You truly are two peas in a pod. But really, Caelus’ style when it came to living spaces was… not ideal. Especially compared to your own. Listen, that man was sleeping in a cardboard box of all things with no issue prior to being graced with his own designated space on the express. Did anyone expect him to have interior design skills?

“No, that completely clashes with everything,” you argue, trying to steer Caelus away from the ugly, blinding colours that he seemed so intent of throwing into his room with no regard for a sense of coherency.

The room turns out to be quite cosy, and you find yourself being a little bit jealous of Caelus’ big bathtub. Though, he has welcomed you to use it yourself from time to time. You’ll most certainly be taking up that offer.

All in all, you and March—ahem, you, March, and Caelus, did a good job on decorating the space. It is a step up from the cardboard box.

Unfortunately, giving Caelus a luxury room all to himself isn’t going to stop him from dumpster diving and finding his way into the vents, but that’s his problem now, not yours.

Now, you can bask in the fruits of your labour and enjoy as many lavish baths as you want while he goes to cause trouble. Perhaps you’ll join him.
