Rin

Why I like them/why I don’t I LOVE RIN. What first drew me to her was her design, which I think is just amasing. I loved that she had short hair, that it was green (one of my favourite colours) and such a fun style. Then I found out about her deck and loved her even more. I like how she's a scrappy mechanic who built a D-Wheel with her best friend using scraps and what money they managed to scrunge up. How she shared a dream with Yugo. Even if we didn't get to see her much in the show, I love what they've done with her in Duel Links.

But for something I dislike, it'd be the tired slapstick jokes she has with Yugo. I've never been fond of those jokes, and find they come at the expense of character writing. I think Rin and Yugo's friendship is just more fun without it.

What I like about their appearance Covered above already sjdhg, but I will say I love her overall colour scheme, and how she doesn't have One Singular colour to her, which extends to the other bracelet girls. It's so easy to do that when you've got a set of characters like this, and I appreciate they didn't go that route.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names? Luckily Rin didn't get a name change in the dub. Though having Yugo call her RinRin as a nickname is.... kinda silly ngl. He doesn't have a nickname for her in the sub, and it's not like it shortens her name. I get it might be a pun on the ringing of a bell, but it's still eh to me.

OTP Main Rin ships would be Swiftshipping (girls forgotten by the narrative and world who also hold hands) and Appleshipping, though apple leans pretty hard towards queerplatonic nowadays. I really enjoy Natureshipping as well.

OT3 Can't really think of any that stand out to me.

Favourite card they use You want me to choose a WindWitch?? Ice Bell is one of my favourite of the designs, but I gotta go with Winter Bell. It's such a cool design, I love that it's not completely humanoid like girls in Yugioh usually get, and RIN RIDES IT?? SHE HOPS ON TOP OF HER MONSTER AND RIDES ON IT LIKE A BOARD??? It's so frigging cool.

Favourite moment they were in Hmmm, I think it's a tie between Rin hopping onto Winter Bell or the flashback Yugo has to one of their duels in the Friendship Cup. It's just a cute character moment man.

Least favourite moment The frikkin.... Rin vs Yugo duel. It's such a rough watch. It's so sad.

Yuya

Why I like them/why I don’t I love Yuya man, he's such a fun character. He's having a time of it the whole show but he's still going at them. I love how he's energetic and a showman but is naturally low-tension outside of duels. I don't really have anything I dislike about Yuya, he's just such a fun character.

What I like about their appearance Honestly, I love his hair, specifically the styling. I love how his hair and eyes are the same shade of red. The goggles are a great distinctive detail that's used to show Yuya's current state of mind. I love his outfit so much. It's such a perfect balance of elements that flair out, are tight, or baggy. The white jacket also really helps him stand out. Those zoom-zoom boots he gets at the end of the show kinda ruins the balance though.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names? Same as Rin, no change from sub to dub, thankfully.

OTP I really like Dimensionshipping. But I have a giant soft spot for Syncshipping.

Favourite card they use Oof probably.... Odd Eyes Raging Dragon. The moments iconic, everything about it is phenomenal, but I just really love Raging Dragon's design a lot, the wings especially. Honestly all of Yuya's Entermates are a delight any time they show up.

Favourite moment they were in Honestly any time Yuya gets in the groove during a duel. Actually the most fun protagonist to watch make a comeback for me. It's a mix of expressive animation, fun monster designs, and great voice acting. You feel the pull he gains over his opponent and audience as everyone is wrapped up in his pace and style of dueling.

Least favourite moment Gosh do I even have one.... I guess the argument with Crow in the Synchro arc?? But that's mostly because it's such a pointless debate to begin with, like what are we even doing here.

I LOVE YOU!! i actually didnt care much for her at all until season 4 and her backstory (dare i say best one in bsd) was shown. then i was like WOAV. and she rose up my ranking so fast. i love that shes KIND and a protector and not afraid to be fierce, and i also love that she cherishes life so much. youd think being able to bring life back so easily means she’d disregard it more but NO! gestures to her fight with kajii. i think she deserves the freaking WORLD shes my everything <33

Digital Content Specialist

You can be working at a company like Webstaurant . They’re a distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment. They sell anything from plastic cups, to fine china, to commercial dishwashers. They offer a lot of content-related jobs like Content Writing, Digital Content Specialist, etc.

This is a remote job and it looks like they’re starting people off at $50,000. As a Digital Content Specialist, you will be helping them put out content on the internet. For instance, you’ll be helping them with SEO articles, and they do say in the job requirements that you have to have basic SEO skills, but to be honest, SEO is relatively easy to learn. This is a good company, they have great benefits, they have career growth opportunities, and they offer a competitive salary.

Photographer

You’re going to be working for the company Minted. Well, you’re not working for Minted, you’re going to be working with them as a partner. The way it works is, you partner up with them and then any of your clients’ photos that you submit to Minted are turned into physical photos in different forms.

So it might be some sort of stationary, like an invitation card or something along those lines, and then you get a percentage of the commission of whatever they pay for the card. It’s a great way to get extra clients and make extra money and they offer between a 13% and 20% profit share. Photography is one of the most common side hustles and businesses out there, so if you’re already doing it, or planning on doing it in the future, this can be a great way to get clients and make extra money.

ResultsCX

ResultsCX hires for a variety of different jobs, but one of the most common ones is going to be Customer Service Representative. I know that’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but it’s honestly one of the easiest remote jobs you can land to get your foot in the door and start working remotely.

They have a lot of Customer Service Representative jobs available. They do require a high school diploma or GED and the ability to type 25 words per minute, so chances are you can probably type that fast. Then you just have to have basic computer navigation skills, a positive attitude with a strong work ethic, and strong communication skills.

The barrier to entry here is very low and they hire for a lot of Customer Service Representative positions. They also hire for a Seasonal Healthcare Representative position, as well and Results CX has opportunities in the United States, Philippines, India, Mexico, Honduras, and Bulgaria.

They have six fundamental values that define their culture: bringing your “A” game, striving for greatness, enable, empower all employees to do the right thing, own it, and deliver unbelievable service. They also have really good benefits. It’s pretty easy to go to the website, you just go to “careers” scroll down, look for the one that they’re hiring for, that you want to apply for, and click “apply.”

Customer Service Representatives here make about $56,000 a year, plus they have pretty good ratings online from their former employees. Overall, it’s really a good one, definitely one to look into if you’d like to get a Customer Service-related job.

Bold Business

They hire for a ton of different jobs. One of them is going to be an Online Research Analyst and another one is going to be a Social Media Specialist. Online Research Analysts make about $61,000 a

year and Social Media Specialists make about $52,000. They hire in the US, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, India, and the Philippines. Bold Business is a bold company that has bold values, and they want to make a bold difference. They offer great health insurance, leave policy, and career growth opportunities. This is a company that offers global outsourcing opportunities to other companies.

Internova Travel Group

Internova hires Travel Advisors and they’re known for delivering a high-touch, personal level of travel expertise. They cater to leisure, luxury, and corporate clients. This is kind of like the crim de la crim of travel companies. Travel Consultants make between $43,000 to $69,000 a year.

This is another one of those positions where it’s good if you kind of specialize in traveling, or you specialize in a particular area. If you’re someone who loves traveling, or you live in an area that has a bunch of people who like to travel to it, kind of like a tourist spot, this can be a great option for you.

On top of the pay, they also have great benefits. We’re talking medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, paid parental leave, and pretty much all the different types of benefits that you would want. As a Travel Consultant it’s pretty obvious you would be working very closely with your clients or the representative of your clients, and you would be helping them with everything involved in their trip, from booking the hotels, to what restaurants they’re going to go to, to what airlines they’re going to use, etc. Another really good one for you to look into.

R1

You would be applying for a Follow-up Associate position. R1 is a company whose goal is to make healthcare simpler. They specialize in providing technology-driven solutions that transform patients’ experiences and a Follow-up Associate is someone who’s going to follow up with patients on their different healthcare needs.

Maybe it involves going to different appointments, as well as billing. This is a remote position where you’d make about $16 to $20 per hour. This is also referred to as a Follow-up Specialist at certain companies and it is definitely a position that has a lot of demand. It’s not the highest paying position, but it is remote, it is easy to get into, and it does pay decently. It’s a good way to get your foot in the door when it comes to working a remote job.

Chubb

The particular career I’m going to focus on is an Underwriter. Chubb actually hires in a ton of different countries. They hire in the United States, of course, Argentina, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, etc. They hire for a ton of different positions.

This is essentially a talent network that helps to staff other companies. It’s a B2B company. There’s a lot of different jobs they hire for, I just chose Underwriter as an example, because there’s not much required to get into the position and it pays relatively well, at about $71,000 to $108,000 per year. You’d probably start off in a lower level position like Assistant Underwriter, but there’s lots of opportunities here, they have great ratings online, and really good benefits. So it’s definitely one you should look into.

Headway

The career I’m going to focus on is Customer Experience Associate. Headway is all about making mental health more affordable and accessible. For this position, they actually pay you based off of your location. People who live in Group A locations, which are basically locations that are very expensive to live in like New York or San Francisco, get paid about $76,500 per year.

For Group B locations, which are a little less expensive places like Chicago, Miami, and Denver, they get paid about 60,000 a year. For Group C locations, which is everything else, just like a normal city, they get paid around $54,000 a year. It’s a very interesting way of paying people. Overall, they have great flexibility, they’re always hiring, they have great perks, they have a really easy application process, and they have a pretty cool company mission, as well.

InfoCision

InfoCision is going to be hiring for a lot of different roles, but one of them is going to be a Call Center Representative. This is not going to be one of the better ones on the list; it’s actually relatively low paying, but I do think this is going to be one of the easiest ones to get into. They only pay about $9 per hour so that’s really low, especially even for a Call Center Representative, that’s considered low, everything else is pretty good, though.

CCXL Round 3 - Handsling Racing Report

Campbell Park was used for a round of the UCI Cyclo Cross World Cup in 2014, and has seen some great League races since. Team S&M CX and Clara Honsinger Renew With Bikeflights

With the 2023-2024 cyclocross season just getting underway, we’re pleased to welcome back Team S&M CX and Clara Honsinger to our roster of Bikeflights-sponsored teams and ambassadors.

“This season marks our seventh as a complete cyclocross team dedicated to the long-term development of Pacific North West (PNW) women in this sport,” said Brenna Wrye-Simpson, Team Manager. “In that time, we have been through several chapters and have proudly stayed the course, attracting more women to the program, standing by those we’ve already rostered, and standing by cyclocross as the purest form of racing in cycling.”

Honsinger returns to her roots

Wrye-Simpson is especially excited that three-time US Cyclocross National Champion Clara Honsinger has returned to the team.

“To me, it only feels right to have Clara back. Our initial three-season chapter from 2017 to 2020 was one of steady progress for all of us, but most obviously hers, as she steadily studied the game and consistently landed more domestic podiums,” said Wrye-Simpson, who noted Honsinger’s first under 23 title won in 2018, her first World Cup podium in Iowa City earned in 2019, and her elite national title claimed in 2019. All were achieved while repping Team S&M CX’s distinctive orange & blue kits.

Honsinger went on to race the rest of the 2019-2020 season in Europe before returning in February of 2020, after the world championships, just as rumblings of the new COVID virus were beginning to circulate. She then moved on to join the Cannondale-CyclocrossWorld.com team. 

Perhaps Honsinger’s best finish to date has been a fourth place finish at the 2021 UCI Cyclocross World Championships.

“Her accomplishments speak volumes, and her growth as an athlete and worldly human are wonderful to behold,” said Wrye-Simpson of the team’s biggest stars to date. 

Honsinger fondly recalled, “I remember when I first asked Erik if I could join [Team] S&M. I was a freshman in college, and he had generously offered to give me a ride in the old Kona van to Ninkrossi. I wonder what he was thinking when I posed the question – a teenager with a bike racing obsession was a pretty great unknown. But I was certain that S&M was the place for me.”

The then up-and-coming young rider had been following Team S&M CX for a while, watching local icons like Beth Ann Orton and Megan Chinburg travel to races across the country and reading old race reports of how Rhonda Mazza had placed second at Nationals in toe-clips and running shoes. She re-watched Transitions 2 to find the scene where Tonkin’s Belgian fan club sings praises about his beard. 

“This team seemed to carry a passion for racing and an easy-going character that I wanted to be surrounded by,” said Honsinger.

More recently, Honsinger raced on the road for Team EF Education-TIBCO-SVB. But as uncertainty swirled around some of the European and US teams this past summer, Honsinger pondered what was next, and she felt compelled to follow her heart.

“The move was clear. S&M is grounded and driven. The idea of returning made me feel giddy with excitement and genuinely happy,” said Honsinger.

let me say this - when she was first turned into a child, it was absolute chaos

the worse part was it happened mid battle - one moment she was charging to the curse with her katana in hand, next thing the rest of them knew she had shrunk and she was freefalling from the jump she launched herself into

yuji, who was the closest to her, widen his eyes before he ran towards his senior and caught her before she landed on the ground, holding her against his chest as he stares down at the girl with wide eyes; who blinked up at him as well

“Y-Y/N-senpai?” yuji mutters in shock as he stares down at the young girl in his arms, who just smiles back before she reaches up to cup her tiny hands on his sweaty cheeks. 

“doggy.” 

after the curse was exorcise, the rest of the first years gathered around yuji, since they were supposed to accompany their senior out to exorcise a curse in a nearby hospital

how are they going to go back to school carrying a child with them? 

they did - and the first person they ran into was gojo, who waited by the door to greet his students; only to freeze when he saw the child staring back at him in yuji’s arms

“wait a minute,” gojo mutters as he pulls his blindfold down as he narrowed his sapphire eyes at the young girl, who just blinks and smiles up at him in delight. “holy shit - it really is her.”

the first stop they visited was ieiri, who held the giggling child in her arms after running a few tests. “it’s not permanent - it’s a cursed technique. I can’t reverse it since it’s not an actual wound, so the best remedy is waiting.” she stated as she bounced the young girl in her arms, who was busy playing with her hair in her tiny hands. “my guess is that it’ll last no more than 24 hours.”

24 hours wouldn’t be that hard, right? i mean, they already take care of her on the daily - what’s another 24 hours?

well - the fact that she runs on pure energy. fushiguro looked down as he pulled out a tissue from the packet he was holding in his hands for one second, and when he looked up again, she was missing 

it took the three first years and their tall teacher a solid 10 minutes before they found her

she was curled up in inumaki’s arms, the cursed speech user just cuddling her without a care in the world while maki looked mortified that her already handful classmate was now a child

and she hates children with a burning passion

 after getting the brief rundown by their teacher, they just watch how the little girl, who was now set down on her feet, ran about their legs as she giggles to herself; as if she was trying to traverse an endless maze. “what an idiot.” 

the next person who saw her was yuta, who returned from a meeting with the higher ups

he had entered the campus, just in time to see gojo running past with a child on his shoulders, giggling to her heart’s content

that sight alone was confusing to yuta, but when gojo noticed him and came over with a grin, yuta got a good look at the child resting on his tall teacher’s shoulders

and then almost past out from the shock of seeing his fellow classmate blinking down at him, her small hands gripping onto gojo’s hair as she smiles down at him

after a cup of tea and a lengthy explanation, yuta watches the young girl play with the strap of his weapon’s bag that resting on the ground, making a noise 

“at least now we have a reason to use the child leash.”

“..now that you’ve mention it - we should break it out.” maki stated simply before she got up and left, leaving yuta to explain to the confused group of people how him and maki had purchased a children’s leash to use on her whenever they go out to tokyo so they never loose her

they never really had a chance to use it; but since she is the way she is now, it was probably the better option then running around chasing her

so now there was maki, with one end of the leash wrapped around her hand whilst the other was wrapped around the young girl’s wrist as she ran about 

feeding her was an absolute pain - it took a solid 30 minutes to get her eat half of the food since she kept getting side tracked and forget to chew her food. so it just sat in her cheeks as she played with yuta’s fingers or tried to catch a flying beetle 

poor maki got the scare of her life when the little girl gifted her a squirming beetle that refused to crawl off her uniform; her grossed out expression evident as she flicked it off with her fingers

nobara and yuji were laughing their asses off as gojo recorded the entire incident. inumaki was biting his fist as he shook with laughter while yuta grinned and told the confused girl how she shouldn’t be picking up bugs at random unless she ‘wants them to give you an owie’

for once they had a relatively normal day - cloud watching, flower picking, feeding the koi fish in the pond on the school grounds, playing tag in the huge field. she forced everything to do the more mundane somewhat normal things as well, forcing everyone to take a well deserved break 

by the time the evening arrived, many of the students and gojo were laying on the grassy field of the school compound, watching how the sky slowly started to bleed with different shades of reds and oranges as the sun started to set

“is it bad that i enjoyed this day?” fushiguro muttered as he closes his eyes, one arm covering his eyes whilst the other was petting his Devine dog that he had summoned to track the little girl down earlier 

she had escaped to go and pick flowers in the wooded area, almost giving everyone a heart attack when they couldn’t find her. 

“nah, it was nice.” maki said with a tired hum as she watches the clouds, her head laid against panda’s side whilst yuta laid on the ground beside her, watching the clouds with a content sigh. “who knew it took a brat to make us relax.” 

said brat was fast asleep in nobara’s side, who cuddled the sleeping girl close. “well, whatever the reason may be - i enjoyed it a lot, and it will be fun to look back on in the future.” 

somehow they managed to clean her from all the sweat and dirt before tucking her back in her room, and somehow had to read a few bedtime stories after she whines and refuses to go to bed until she was read to

by the time the others went to bed, they were pretty much dead to the world - having the best night’s sleep after having been worked to the bone by one child

to the point where she goes over and hugs the sleepy girl, who just yawned and hugged her back with one arm while the other filled her bottle of water

“good morning to you too, maki.”

when she saw all the videos and pictures of what happened yesterday, she just smiles over at the tired students, clapping her hands softly in delight

“at least you guys had fun, no?”

her simple answer had everyone pausing as they shared a look with one another before they all just agreed, since yesterday was definitely fun 

maybe having her as a child wasn’t that bad after all

The Groupie (part one)

Authors Note - this story is set in 2006 when Cillian starred onstage in the show Love Song.

Cillian has just turned 30, and has no children. Reader is a fan, has been since day one and is a plus size girl. I myself am a UK size 16, so I hope I don't offend anyone with my story (I'm writing about my own insecurities a little here so be kind please).

Also I apologise to any Neve Campbell fans - I'm sure she's bloody lovely but I needed a bitchy co star... Sorry!

Waiting patiently in line, the man in front of you happily signed autographs and chatted with the girl in front of you. Posing for a photograph, he thanked her and turned to you.

"Had a feeling you'd be here y/n!" Cillian grinned, welcoming you into a warm embrace. You'd been a fan of his ever since that first stage show back in 1996. You and your mum had gone to watch Disco Pigs for your 15th birthday present, and you'd immediately been bowled over by the young man playing Pig. Since that first show, you'd been following his career and always made sure you were in the front row any time he returned to his theatrical roots. No different now - he'd just come off stage after the final show and was meeting his fans outside like he always did.

"I never miss a show Cillian, you know that! You were amazing as always." You held out your photo for him and he signed it, laughing.

"How many of my autographs do you have now, gotta be 100 or more?"

"Ah Cill, one more is never enough." He suddenly leaned in for another hug, which surprised you, and whispered in your ear.

"Meet me at the hotel bar in an hour?"

You didn't respond, you were in too much shock at what he'd said, when he winked at you and headed over to the waiting car, waving and smiling at his fans as he left.

You didn't need to ask which hotel - he always stayed in the same one in Dublin... But why would he want to meet you there?

You walked into the hotel lobby feeling extremely nervous. The security guard stopped you instantly, asking to see your hotel room key. You stumbled, before an arm draped across your shoulder.

"She's with me Mark, it's all good, yeah?" Cillian guided you through the door to the bar, asking what you wanted to drink.

"Erm... I'll have a small white wine.. please.." you looked around and saw the other cast members milling around and chatting to each other, paying no mind to either of you. Cillian pointed to a table in the corner while he headed to the bar.

Coming back, he placed a large glass in front of you and sat with his Guinness across the table. You raised an eyebrow at the large wine glass.

"What? We're Irish, we don't do 'small' y/n..." He smirked, taking a sip of his pint.

"Well, thank you. This is very kind Cillian, but I don't understand why I'm here..."

"You've followed me for 10 years. Always supported me. I wanted to do something to thank you for it all." You blushed, looking down at your hands, curled into each other.

"Cill, amazing show as always!! Blew me away," his co star, Neve Campbell squeezed his shoulder, kissed his cheek and gave you a quick once over, sneering.

"Thanks Neve. This is y/n - she's been a good friend since day one." Did he just call you a friend?

"Hi." She didn't smile, just looked you up and down and smirked a little. You instantly felt self conscious. You'd always been a larger girl - you'd recently lost some weight, but you were by no means a skinny girl. Neve would've fit twice into your size 16 jeans.

Cillian noticed your discomfort, and reached under the table for your hand, glaring at Neve.

"I think you're wanted over there." He pointed out the director of the show, and Neve turned to leave. Not before casting a backwards glance and chuckle at you.

Tears filled your eyes - you'd always thought she was nice but she'd just destroyed that image.

"Hey, hey no tears. She's a first class bitch and she doesn't deserve them," he squeezed your hand and took another sip of his Guinness, pushing your wine over to you.

"Sorry... Fuck sake I bet you think I'm a right eejit.. I better go..." You took a large gulp of wine and pulled your bag over your shoulder, standing up.

"Let me walk you home?"

"What?"

"Let me walk you home at least, it's nearly 11pm. I can't have you walking through Dublin alone at this time of night y/n.."

"It won't be a long walk Cill, I'm staying upstairs! Room 249!"

"You're staying in the same hotel as me?"

"Don't get weird, it was the only hotel with rooms spare - it is Bank Holiday weekend..."

"Then I'll walk you to your room at least?" You nodded, and he offered you his hand. Smiling nervously, you took it and he led you over to the lift.

You heard Neve and her friend snicker behind you and Cillian turned around, telling you to stay where you were as he walked over to her. You saw him pull her to one side and although you couldn't hear him, his words clearly had an effect on her as her face dropped and she looked to the floor embarrassed. He glared at her, before coming back over to you and leading you out the doors.

"Cillian I don't want to cause problems..."

"Show's over Y/N, I never have to work with the stuck up bitch again. Don't worry about it." You bit your lip to stop yourself from crying as you walked into the lift with him. He pushed the button for floor 2 and looked at you, his smile fading.

"Hey come here, don't get upset?" He wrapped an arm around you and you couldn't stop the tears. Sobbing softly into his leather jacket as he stroked your back.

"I'm so sorry... It's just... god look at me Cillian..."

"I do look at you. And you know what I see? I see a smart, funny, kind, caring, beautiful woman. Someone who any man would be fucking proud to have on their arm." He cupped your face in his hands and dried your cheeks with his thumbs. You looked up into his eyes and you were sure the world stopped for a minute. He smiled, your faces edging closer together slowly, before the lift pinged and the door opened. You pulled away quickly, pulling your key out of your bag.

"Thanks for walking me back... Sorry for embarrassing you..." You headed out of the lift and didn't look back. Opening your room door, you quickly went inside and closed it.

"Fuck sake y/n what are you thinking???" You scolded yourself, forehead leaning against the door as you caught your breath and steadied yourself.

You opened the mini fridge and quickly sank the small bottle of vodka in it, the warm liquid calming you instantly. You were about to get ready for bed when you heard the door knock suddenly. You opened it to find Mark - the security guard from earlier, holding an envelope. Handing it to you, expressionlessly, he walked away. You closed the door and opened the envelope.
