📁 What is a, "Reclist?"
Tumblr media
A reclist, is short form for, "recording list." This is what you will be reading in order to create your UTAU. Reclists come in many different recording formats, so let's talk about the various configurations that UTAU use!
CV "Consonant-Vowel," this is one of the more common formats as it is very easy to record and highly recommended for beginner users.
VCV "Vowel-Consonant-Vowel," another common format but has a large learning curse for the user. This format is also known as, 連続音 *(Renzouku) or! Continuous sound. With the continuous recording style, you are able to achieve a sound source with smooth transitions.
CVC "Consonant-Vowel-Consonant," this format is often used for other languages, for example, Russian, Korean, or German.
CVVC "Consonant-Vowel-Vowel-Consonant," a popular format as of late, CVVC builds of the standard CV configuration, with more transitions.
VCCV "Vowel-Consonant-Consonant-Vowel," this format is often used for recording English voice banks.
Honorable mentions would be C+V, I have come to recognize this format recently, and see great potential in it! I will update this post with more information on it in the future.
With all this said, there are more configurations contributed by other users. The ones I listed above are the most common configurations you will find.
For this tutorial series, I have geared all provided materials towards beginners. So we will be going through the process of making your first CV (consonant-vowel) voicebank with added VVs (vowel-vowel). With the additional vowels, you will obtain smooth transitions in between vowels. Do not worry, it is not difficult at all! Below is a direct link to my personal CV-VV recording lists.

Aogine Matthias (仰音マティア) is a Japanese UTAU created and voiced by MOMIGIKO (もみぎこ). Very similar to his elder sibling, he has several voicebanks that are meant to support multiple languages. These languages are Japanese, Russian (CVC), Latin (CVC), and German (CVCV). The Japanese voicebanks include an unlabeled tripitch CV, CVVC, CV+CVVC, and CVVC (+VCVC) voicebanks. In the sample above, his voice seems to be quite “calm.” However, I’m sure there’s others who can find a better word to describe it! ^^
His character is said to be negative and clumsy. He is blind due to an accident, and is training himself for the clergy. As mentioned before, Aogine Enoch is his older sibling.

Genki Tatsu Russian CVC Released
Heiden BZR has released a new voicebank for their UTAU, Genki Tatsu/元気竜.
Tatsu’s Russian voicebank has 7 pitches including a falsetto append!
I was a bit apprehensive about posting this since I thought Tatsu was a very unknown UTAU, but I noticed the release video has over 3k views and Heiden has over 10k subscribers (with some very popular videos), I think it’d be worth it to expose people who aren’t a part of the Russian vocal synth community to their content.

5 questions on the COVID-19 vaccine answered
Tumblr media
As India grapples with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government continues to work toward making coronavirus vaccine widely available for everyone. Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, AstraZeneca’s Covishield manufactured by Serum Institute of India, and Russian Sputnik V are the three vaccines being used in India. Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had said that India will be able to inoculate all adults by the end of this year.
Experts have been stressing that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at keeping you from getting COVID-19, adding that individuals who have been fully vaccinated can resume activities that they did prior to the pandemic. In this article, doctors at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, answer some of the key questions about COVID-19 vaccines, including how you can get your shot and how long you will be protected from the virus with these vaccines.
Where should I register for COVID-19 vaccination and how do I get the vaccine?
If you are eligible to receive the vaccine, you can register yourself on the Co-WIN Portal and schedule your appointment. You can get the vaccine from government and private health facilities as notified, known as COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs).
Can COVID-19 vaccine cause coronavirus infection? What to expect after getting COVID-19 shot?
A COVID-19 vaccine does not cause COVID-19 infection. Typically, it takes a few weeks for your body to build immunity after vaccination. So, if a person has symptoms soon after taking the vaccine, that’s because he or she may have been exposed to the virus before (but without symptoms) or during the trip outside for vaccination.
After getting a COVID-19 vaccine, you may have some common side effects such as fever, pain or redness or swelling at the injection site, chills, tiredness, nausea, etc, which are normal signs that your body is building immunity or protection against the virus. However, you should contact your doctor or healthcare provider if the side effects such as pain or redness where the shot was given gets worse after 24 hours.
How long will I be protected from COVID-19 after vaccination?
At this point of time, we do not know how long a person will be protected from the virus that causes COVID-19 with these vaccines. Scientists are still learning how long the vaccines can protect people from the virus. However, vaccines that use the Oxford ChAdOx1 technology are proven to provide immune responses persisting for a year or more.
Do the COVID-19 vaccines work against emerging variants of SARS-CoV-2?
A study published in a peer-reviewed medical journal Clinical Infectious Diseases showed that Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin can neutralise all key emerging variants of SARS-CoV-2, including the double mutant strain called B.1.617 first identified in Maharashtra. Similarly, Serum Institute’s Covishield has been found to effectively work against the fast-spreading double mutant coronavirus strain as well. Yet, medical researchers and scientists are still learning how effective the COVID-19 vaccines are against new variants of SARS-CoV-2. Experts are also still trying to figure out how well these vaccines can prevent people from spreading the coronavirus to others (even if they do not have the symptoms of COVID-19), although early data suggests that vaccinated people are less likely to transmit infection to others.
Do I still need to get the vaccine if I have already had COVID-19 and recovered? What about a person who is currently sick with COVID-19 or suspected to be suffering from coronavirus infection?
Regardless of whether you already had COVID-19, it is advisable to get vaccinated against the virus to help develop a strong immune response against the disease. The Indian Health Ministry’s guidelines suggest that one should wait for 12 weeks after recovery from COVID-19 symptoms before getting the shot. According to the CDC’s COVID-19 guidance, you should wait 90 days before getting a vaccine if you had been treated for COVID-19 with monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma therapy. Plasma therapy has been recently dropped from the recommended COVID-19 treatment guidelines in India.
As per the Health Ministry, people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection should defer vaccination for 14 days after symptoms are resolved.
It may be noted that a vaccine is one of many tools required to control the COVID-19 pandemic. So, whether or not you have received the vaccine, you need to continue to adhere to public health measures - such as wearing a mask, frequent and thorough hand washing, following social distancing rules, etc, - to protect yourself and others.

“They admire the angelic girl who changed their mind...”
Tumblr media
Enoch Aogine (仰音エノク) is a Japanese UTAU created by MOMIGIKO (もみぎこ). They have 14 voicebanks across 5 languages: Japanese, Russian, German, Italian, and Latin. While the non-Japanese voicebanks are all monopitch, there are multiple multipitch Japanese voicebanks. Enoch has CV, VCV, CVC, and CVVC ranging from whisper to strong. Their tone is overall androgynous, maybe slightly feminine.
Enoch’s gender is unknown, but their brother Matthias (also an UTAU) refers to them as “sister.” They’re 21 years old and seem to age each year. Their hair covers a red artificial eye. They’re laid-back and like themself, olive oil, and sewing. They dislike evil, snakes, and insects. Their wings aren’t real. They sewed those wings by hand out of respect for a certain girl. That girl saved Enoch at some point.
From January 1st, 2022 to December 6th, 2023, all download links will be unavailable while MOMIGIKO focuses on their studies. December 7, 2023 is Enoch’s 3rd anniversary. When they’re available again, you can find them here.
Intro quote is from their official UTAU Wiki 2.0 page!

This Week in Bitcoin: New Exchanges, Bancor Breach, Binance CEO vs Vitalik
In this week’s daily editions of Bitcoin in Brief we reported about a couple of new exchanges, a major security breach at Bancor, and why the Binance CEO came out against Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. This week’s most commented-on article covered the Nobel laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz, who predicted that cryptocurrencies will be “regulated into oblivion.”

New US Exchange
On Monday we reported that the American crypto trading market got a little more competitive with a new exchange opening. HBUS, a strategic partner of Huobi, has begun accepting new user registrations by U.S. residents, supporting BTC, BCH, ETH, ETC, LTC, USDT, CVC, DASH and TUSD. Additionally covered, ASIC producer Bitmain has raised up to $400 million in its latest fundraising round valuing the company at $12 billion, and Binance donated $1 million to flood victims in Japan.
Bancor Breach
The big story on Tuesday was that Bancor reported it had experienced a “security breach”. A wallet used to upgrade some smart contracts has been compromised and used to withdraw 29,984 ETH, worth approximately $12.5 million. “The same wallet also stole: 229,356,645 NPXS (~$1M) [and] 3,200,000 BNT (~$10M).” Bancor added that “once the theft was identified, we were able to freeze the stolen BNT”. The countermeasures raised questions about the decentralized status of Bancor which doesn’t square with the freezing of tokens and shutting down the network. We also reported that Irish entrepreneurs are setting up a new decentralized crypto exchange in Europe.
Google Founder Is a Crypto Miner
On Wednesday we reported that Sergey Brin, president of Google parent company Alphabet, revealed that he is a crypto miner. “A year or two ago my son insisted that we needed to get a gaming PC,” Brin said. “I told him If we get a gaming PC we have to mine cryptocurrency. So we got an ethereum miner on there and we’ve been making a few pennies and dollars since.” He added: “That definitely got me interested and I started to study the technology behind it and found it to be fascinating.” Additional stories included why Elon Musk is impressed by crypto scambots on Twitter, a response from Fcoin regarding fake volume allegations, and a $100 million venture capital fund for blockchain startups in Israel.
CZ vs Vitalik
The main focus on Thursday was that Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has decided to publicly defend his industry from a verbal attack by Vitalik Buterin. The Ethereum founder expressed a deep hatred for the particular business model at the heart of the current crypto trading ecosystem, saying: “I definitely hope centralized exchanges go burn in hell as much as possible”. In his response, CZ’s core argument was that without centralized exchanges the field will develop ten times slower and will be ten times smaller. He additionally attacked the claim that decentralization is always better. Additionally covered were developments regarding two upcoming crypto phones.
Taiwanese Stablecoin
Amid the flood of new alternatives taking on Tether, on Friday we reported that another stablecoin has been introduced, this time by a company that operates one of the major payment processors in Taiwan. Green World Fintech Services says the crypto, pegged to the New Taiwan Dollar (NTD), is called Taiwan Digital Token (TWDT). Green World claims to have patented a dollar-to-token process that is supposed to protect the TWDT from fraud and money laundering risks. The project will be realized in cooperation with some established Taiwanese banks. The crypto accounts of TWDT users will be tied to “trusted bank accounts” in order to verify personal data before transactions are permitted. We also reported about a solution for handling your crypto portfolio for when you die.
Russians Used Bitcoin to Hack US Elections
Rod Rosenstein
On Saturday we reported on one of the biggest political stories in the world. According to a federal indictment announced by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Russian agents used bitcoin in their campaign to influence the outcome of the 2016 US elections. Authorities in Washington claim that hackers working for the Russian foreign military intelligence paid in crypto for servers in the US and Malaysia, website domains, and virtual private networks (VPNs) used to release information stolen from the Democratic camp and to obscure their identities and cover their tracks. They also laundered more than $95,000 through bitcoin. We also reported that a leading website for betting on horse racing has begun accepting bitcoin (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCH) deposits.
“Regulated Into Oblivion”
The most commented-on article during the week covered Joseph Stiglitz, the former chief economist of the World Bank and Nobel laureate, who predicted that cryptocurrencies will be “regulated into oblivion” in the future. “You cannot have a means of payment that is based on secrecy when you’re trying to create a transparent banking system. If you open up a hole like bitcoin then all the nefarious activity will go through that hole, and no government can allow that.” Stiglitz added: “Bitcoin could easily be worth just $100 in 10 years. People in power will move to regulate anonymous transactions. That you can be sure of.”

Uservice Is a Global Decentralized Blockchain Platform for the Auto Industry
Global blockchain ecosystem Uservice token pre-sale had launched. The aim of the project is to unite and optimize all processes related to the purchasing, operation and maintenance of the car. Today there is a huge number of car platforms. Each of them has certain functions – some sell cars, others check if the car was ever in an accident, others offer assistance in repairs, etc. This separation is not convenient for the car owner. We took this into account and created a unique interactive blockchain ecosystem called Uservice. This separation is not convenient for the car owner. We took this into account and create a unique interactive block system for the Uservice ecosystem. Combining a large number of dealers, car service providers, insurance companies, suppliers of spare parts, and many other platforms of the auto industry, we will achieve the most effective interaction of individual links, combining them into one single chain.
Uservice project is a decentralized online platform based on the Ethereum blockchain, in which the smart-contract system will be used. Ethereum technology makes it possible to register any transactions and operations with cars based on a distributed base of contracts such as blockchain, without using traditional legal procedures. All operations with the car will be transparent, controlled and safe.
Connecting to Uservice platform of car owners, car service centers, insurance companies, banks, state regulators and car manufacturers, we will become a collective market of the “full life cycle of the car”.
By introducing an internal UST token into our ecosystem, we create a mechanism of interaction for the ecosystem participants within a single platform. UST tokens are released in a limited quantity and will be a part of all interactions within the project. We expect that the number of participants of our platform will increase, which means that the cost of the UST token will grow.
The project team has such professionals as Kamil Gadjiev, President of Fight Nights, champion of World Cup in Jiu-Jitsu; Bill Shor, the head of Caspian VC (CVC); Manuk Hergnyan, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, venture investment expert; Vitaly Petrov, racing driver, the 1st Russian racer who stood on the podium of Grand Prix of Formula 1; Batu Hasikov, public figure, multiple world champion in kickboxing.
Userv ice platform is an extension of the largest car service aggregator in Europe – UREMONT.COM, where more than 10,000 service stations have already been united into one system.
60,000 completed repairs in 2017 only
Website attendance – 1.5 million users (data by www.similarweb.com)
An average of 1478 repairs applications daily=
At the token pre-sale stage, you get a 50% discount on your purchase. To participate in the presale or to learn more about the future platform, you can visit the official website: https://usrv.io and in the telegram-chat https://t.me/userviceru
