Yes they both are your only smuts and not so explict at that and being non explicit is again wholesome for me and hence more delusion inducing. I'm here to ramble to you about your ramble in response to my ramble lmao.

First of all, we really do think alike apparently, because I also checked the wordcount of my feedback before sending it and it's probably the longest one I've ever written and will ever write. Even without all of the quotes it's like over 2k words, I really don't know how to shut up 😭😭😭

Thank you so much for taking so much care to write such a thoughtful response, Rid 🥺🥺🥺 I always love reading your responses to feedback, and not only my own, because everyone points out different things and you give even more insight into the story and your writing process. I can just read about your stories forever, even when it comes to commentary about them.

I watched the mv for 'when you're gone' and I totally agree with you that that scene matches OC's mood in the beginning of the chapter very well 😔😔😔 It also matches the way I was reading the Valentine’s day drabble, smiling at how adorable they were when I knew how we left off in cmi6. I've said it before but I'll say it again, the thing that hurts the most is knowing how happy they're able to make each other and seeing how they're now hurting each other instead 😭😭😭

Also about the rambling to my sister lmao. Cmi is the first fic I've properly talked to her about (she reads fanfic too, just not bts ones) and I was fully ranting to her about how Jungkook was keeping everything in and trying to be strong until he couldn't anymore, and now he's ignoring OC, I don't think I've ever ranted so much even about a real life person lmao. I might have not painted him in the best light because of how mad I was though 😔😔😔 But I probably will just ramble about how cute he is to her later on when everything works out 😌😌😌

Coolen Hoover's It Ends With Us. And ngl I am kinda hesitant about romance genre itself but also a little to try books from Katie Roberts, Colleen Hoover, Jenny Han etc. Because I just feel like I will be disappointed and there will be a lot of "oh they're teenagers, they're growing they make stupid mistakes" kinda things idk if I am able to explain it nicely. Just hesitant that I might invest time into a book only to get irritated at tbe actions of the characters. And while I do understand that there won't be any drama if the characters were completely rational and fine, it just gets under my nerves when they make stupid decisions like getting back with someone who cheated on them, parents being useless, doing drugs at parties etc. IK I SOUND LIKE A STUCK UP RN BUT PLS I JUST WANT A BOOK WITH RATIONAL AND NORMAL PEOPLE. anyway point is I was like ??? Now I’ll be real honest with you. I’d give it ends with us a 7.5/10 and not really recommend it for someone like you who’s really busy and looking for a 11/10 experience, without any disappointments. I read the book when I was 16 y/o and I remember finding it so touching and good but when I reread the book again once I turned 18, I realized there are so many things wrong with that book? So many mistakes and messed up situations and most importantly, so many triggering themes with no warnings like- childhood trauma, death of a loved one, abusive parents, rape etc. etc. it’s a real bad buzz if you have any one of these traumas as it might inflict unwanted pain inside your heart for no reason. On the other hand, I’d really suggest you “twisted love.” It’s an adult romance book, it’s for mature adult readers, has twists and smut too, friendships, family and it’s really an ♾️/10 for me. :’) <3 and about your Recs??! I’d definitely check them out baby I’m a big bookaholic!

IKR?? Like, look, I was in love with the first movie but acknowledged that it had a lot of flaws, and the second movie was alright. I was really nervous that Zombies was gonna be like the Descendants franchise for me, where I liked each movie less and less (I’m sorry but I cannot watch Descendants 3😭).

BUT—

IT WAS AMAZING??!

Look, was it cheesy, campy, and predictable? YES. But that’s always been Zombies’ schtick tbh, and I LOVED IT. For once, even though it was pretty easy to tell what was going to happen, I had a cute, fun, entertaining movie that wasn’t incredibly stressful to watch!! Sometimes it’s nice to have an easygoing movie like that.

The songs and choreography were actually AMAZING— I genuinely loved every single one. The rendition of Someday made me cry. Bucky was still hilarious but I was really confused because I thought him and the Aceys were older than like Zed & Addison & Co?? But whatever ig. Also! Zoey! I’m so proud of her!! She’s grown up so much and was so sweet and adorable in this movie! It was so pure how she was there for Zed just because she trusted that he was doing it for a good reason.

Can I just say— A-spen? Everything. I loved them. Canon they/them character in a live-action Disney production? GROUNDBREAKING. Also, they were adorable, and absolutely one of my favorite characters. I loved them from the moment they were introduced. The romance with Willa has me SCREAMING!! The “she wants to rip your heart out” and “she can have it” AGDKFKFJ!!! Amazing. Show stopping. I’ll be in the corner screaming if you need me. Also their “break up” with Zed was so hilarious?? Oh and the mothership was hilarious too lmao

The Zeddison moments were EVERYTHING to me (not them being so healthy and supportive of each other😭). I was so worried Zedd was gonna blame Addison for his interview being messed up but then he DIDNT, and he was so HAPPY FOR HER for getting her alien powers!! Zedd being protective of Addison in the beginning was so cute too. We got TWO kisses and don’t even get me started on their goodbye! And like I knew that the aliens’ ‘utopia’ was gonna end up being earth anyways, but their reunion was so adorable, and everyone wanting to keep Addison from leaving was so sweet. I was expecting this movie to either genuinely not have Zed get into college or pull a fake out where he does something to mess up his acceptance and then earns it back later, but that doesn’t happen?? And his joy when he gets the phone call was adorable, so pure🥺

Exceptional Zed was SUCH a fun song, and everyone supporting him was so sweet, but it also made me feel so bad for him. Like this ONE poor kid has the entirety of his kind’s fate riding on his shoulders and that amount of pressure isn’t something he should be facing, especially under circumstances out of his control. But it did also make me think about how, while he’s out here not sure if he really fits this ‘exceptional’ label, he really IS exceptional. Him and Addison literally ENDED segregation in their town together, he’s a STAR athlete (and the first zombie one too), he’s a leader and literally everyone loves him.

Addison being half-alien made so much sense, looking back. It really feels like they had this planned from the very beginning IMO. Like, there are the obvious things like the white hair (and tbh I really liked their explanation for it), and her name starting with an ‘A’, but even extending to her personality! Her nature of unity and harmony and just bringing people together fits so well with the nature of the aliens. And honestly, even though I’m sure the writers didn’t do this on purpose, through the whole movie the aliens felt like an allegory for neurodivergence to me. Not a perfect way of representing it, but as someone with ADHD who is currently trying to figure out if she’s also on the spectrum, a lot of things about them really stuck out to me— too much to try and go into right now, but still. With that in mind, the part where Addison sang ‘I’m Finally Me’ just really hit for me. I think it would’ve hit anyways, but with this extra layer and being so personally relatable, it felt really impactful and powerful. In the previous movies I had always thought that them pushing how Addison felt like so much of an outsider, even equating her struggles to that of Zed’s, for having an unnaturally light hair color was a big stretch and highly overdoing it. BUT— if it were really because she mentally felt different and separated from those around her like many ND people do and simply blamed it on her hair (or just knew it had to do with her hair somehow?), then that makes SO much more sense and I think fits really well.
