On episode 92, I wish I could listen to the criticism quietly but the sheer amount unables me to sit in silence.

While the turns were a bit long, it definitely didn't drag like people on reddit (and some on tumblr how sad) were raving about. I feel they needed a non-recorded mock game to step back into the technicalities as to decrease the need to describe mechanics and lessen hesitation.

But even then let's cut them some slack, they haven't visited these characters in what two years? And from a TWO-shot! Some of them haven't been in a proper game in a while. Not only a recap was needed, and A chose to do it while in combat, they also needed time to get into the groove of their characters on an emotional level.

And unlike the live one-shots CR does where they can jump into old characters after years with certain ease, CK PCs played a small number of hours as these characters, they need wiggle room to adapt into the mindset.

And I won't even talk about the things they kept saying about how Aabria treated Aimee because it was born from seeded bitterness and hatred they refuse to reflect on. Paired with infantilizing these adult women who are very capable of talking to each other.

Also if one hasn't seen ExU Prime, they wouldn't understand their dynamic. I, on the other hand, understand it on a spiritual level and it changed me forever.

The timing in the campaign is beyond my judgement for a myriad of reasons, but the main ones are my player/people and plot preferences.

I won't say everyone should love ExU Prime or the CK, or that they're a bad person for it. Fair game, I don't love everything they've put out. But it's incredibly unnecessary to make it personal and attack them and spew (or rather reveal) bigoted hate left and right because of a DnD actual play.

Would some kind soul please describe the broad events of CR campaign three to me? Like in a handful of paragraphs— I want to catch up but I do not have the time or attention span I did back when i binged both campaigns back in 2020 and reading the episode by episode recaps it’s far too much.

I’m truly ready to blow chucks over downfall and I don’t even fully know what the hell it’s about to be so even just a couple sentence on each arc would be so helpful so I could watch the TikTok recaps to more fully understand what’s currently happening and feel like I’m not missing huge chunks of info. I miss this show so much rn it just feels so hard to catch up, even with these new things they're making to help.

I still can't find a post to completely agree with in regards to the latest "Ashton controversial moment", so I am going to make one. I'll be brief. I think that it was a very cool moment and definitely Worth it but I have a few notes:

Ashton is the only one who listened to Fearne's fears and uncertainity, no they didn't manipulate her BUT they were acting out of egoistic, power-lust, hypocritical martyr needs. Do I blame them for that? No. Did the kiss and the "last one" sentence mean anything powerful for their relationship? Not for Ashton, his mind was totally elsewhere. They are stuck in this flirty phase.

I think the worst thing they did was put all the pressure on Fearne to keep him alive, she doesn't even have Sending or similar spells, how was she supposed to quickly call the others? Was she supposed to keep him alive by herself? Did she realize that in case of failure she would also explode? I feel like Ashton had to made sure all these points were clear before proceeding.

Matt was clear in his warnings? CRYSTAL CLEAR. Was a legitimate player's move to ignore that in a moment of hybris? YES. Is Ashton now too overpower? No bc bells hells are trying to avoid (begrudgingly) a Calamity 2.0

Will this moment be used by bells hells to grow out of toxic martyr dynamics and other toxic\stupid behaviour? I don't think so, unfortunately.

my toxic trait is that i can really only consume one type of media/hobby at a time and all the others fall to the wayside and then it's a mad scramble to get caught up with the rest when my current hyperfixation inevitably, also, falls to the wayside
