⚠️ STRENGTHENING THE CHINESE STRATEGIC DETERRENCE SYSTEM, AND POSSIBLE PRESENTATION OF THE H-20 IN THE NEXT FUTURE ⚠️
🇨🇳 Yesterday, November 11, the People's Liberation Army Air Force Command issued a statement stating that the EPL, through its scientists and engineers, will continue to move forward in the process of modernizing its systems and armaments to meet the request of Xi Jinping, Secretary General of the CPC, to establish a "strong system of strategic deterrence"
📄 The Command announcement came in the middle of the Zhuhai Exhibition, where planes, missiles, drones and combat systems were showcased, and right now all eyes are on a possible announcement regarding the H-20, Bomber Last Generation Stealth Strategic, which would change - even in the Stealth Bombers branch - the cards on the table in the region, guaranteeing the EPL a bomber qualitatively superior to the H-6 and its variants.
⚙️ Jia Zhigang, Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Zou Zhaoxia, Head of the Air Force Equipment Division, stated that the process of modernizing and replacing old weapons with new ones is proceeding quickly, and that the objective of the PLA is to increase Combat Capacity in both defensive and offensive Aerospace Operations.
✈️ Song Zhongping, a military analyst with a degree in engineering from a People's Liberation Army university, echoed the statements of Jia Zhigang and Zou Zhaoxia, and said that these statements constitute a "strong suggestion" that China in the near future , will introduce the H-20, as necessary to build a "strong strategic deterrent":
💬 "The launch of the H-20 is part of the technical requirements of the Air Force to strengthen the Chinese Nuclear Triad, namely air, land and sea"

30 Strategies to Reduce Shopping Cart Abandonment & Drive Profits
Shopping cart abandonment is big, bad, and pervasive. Baymard’s latest stats peg the average documented online shopping cart abandonment rate at a scary 69%.
That means for every ten e-commerce customers that put an item in their cart, nearly seven will leave the site without completing their purchase.
Shopping cart abandonment sucks, and it’s time to lower it.
The problem seems to get worse every year. It’s time to take back those sales and lower cart abandonment. But how do you reduce the effects of shopping cart abandoment?
Here’s 30 strategies to win those customers back and grow your bottom line.
1. Use Email Retargeting
If you want to slay cart abandonment, you need to get on board with email retargeting. Retargeting uses cookies embedded in email messages to display your ads to the user as she browses the web.
Tumblr media
Retargeting is the perfect way to win back customers quickly after their abandonment.
2. Get Clear on Extra Costs
The top reason that customers give for abandonment is extra costs.
The easiest way to solve this problem? Get rid of those extra costs — or at least be clear about them.
If you absolutely must add in shipping charges, taxes, or other fees, be upfrong. As early as possible in the process, give them complete information regarding all the extra costs that they will see as they enter the shopping cart.
3. Provide Full Disclosure on Shipping Details
Shipping costs are another big kibosh for shopping carts.
In an age of Amazon Prime and holiday specials, customers have been trained to demand free shipping on just about everything. Chances are, you have some competitors that are winning because they have free shipping and you don’t.
If you can afford free shipping, great. If you can’t afford free shipping, then be sure to tell the customer everything about the shipping cost.
If necessary, provide a built-in calculator to determine estimated costs based on the weight and quantity of items.
4. Send an Email Immediately After the Customer Abandons
When an e-commerce customer abandons their cart, you have a few hours to reel them back in. Assuming that you’re using some retargeting technology and email marketing, send an email immediately.
According to Rejoiner’s data, here’s how likely a customer is to purchase after receiving a reminder:
Those first few hours post abandonment are the golden window of opportunity to regain lost customers. Capitalize on it.
5. Get Rid of Sign-In Barriers
Are you preventing customers from buying with sign-in barriers? Just don’t.
Forcing users to create an account may work for some products and services, but in most cases, you’re simply setting yourself up for disappointment. A great alternative to clunky sign-up processes is using social login.
6. Make the Check-Out Process 3-5 Steps
The more complicated your e-commerce checkout process, the less likely users are to complete it. The check-out process should be between three and five steps. The shorter, the better.
If you do try to shorten the process, make sure you’re not using too many fields in a single step.
7. Give the Customer Clear Progress Indications
It will help the customer if you can show them how far along in the process they are with a progress bar. Users like to have a feeling of progress and forward momentum as they reach for the goal of purchasing an item.
8. Use Simple and Prominent Calls to Action in the Shopping Cart
Every marketer knows the importance of calls to action. Are you using CTAs in your shopping cart, too? They are as important as ever.
Users want to know what to do next, and it’s up to you to tell them what to do.
Create a headline-style set of instructions for each phase of the checkout process. For example, tell the user “Where should we send your stuff? Please fill out your address.”
9. Add a “Save For Later” Button
Many shoppers abandon their carts because they’re using them as a wishlist or a place to save things they want to buy later. Instead of funneling them into a shopping cart, make it easy for them to create a wishlist with an easy option to buy later.
You get the benefit of lowered abandonment rates, and they get the upside of a wishlist that will easily funnel them into a later sale.
10. Talk to the Customer During the Process
Make the shopping experience conversational and interactive. There’s no need to be harsh and form-driven. Talk to them.
Brief and casual messages like, “Okay, we’re almost done.” and “We just need a little extra info here.” make the experience more enjoyable. I don’t know many people who love filling out forms, but if you make it less agonizing for the shopper, you’re more likely to gain their completion.
11. Don’t Throw in Extra Links
Avoid placing links that take the customer away from the shopping cart. The customer might leave the cart of their own volition, but don’t make it easy for them!
One of the common ways that e-commerce retailers lose customers is by trying to upsell with related products. Often, when a customer clicks on these products, they never return to the shopping cart.
12. Create Engaging and Powerful Product Pages
We obsess over shopping cart abandonment but consider what comes prior to putting something in a shopping cart — the product page.
Take a look at your product page. How engaging is it, really? Russ Henneberry recommends creating “high-quality, interactive product images.”
13. Create Continuity Between the Product Page, and Shopping Cart
If possible, display a thumbnail of the image in the shopping cart. The customer wants to make sure that they are actually purchasing the item that they selected. Making the cart items visible and visual is a great way to keep the customer moving through to completion.
14. Create One-Click Shopping
Amazon has probably made billions off of its one-click shopping button. It’s so easy to just click and buy without even deliberating over the pros and cons of the purchase.
You can steal a page from Amazon’s playbook by creating your own easy-to-buy shopping cart process. It won’t work for unregistered customers, of course, but it can work for members.
15. Avoid Surprises of Any Kind
According to CPC Strategy “Bad surprises are one of the most common contributors to shopping cart abandonment.” Don’t surprise your shoppers, whatever you do.
The shopping process can be a nerve-racking experience for some e-commerce shoppers. The customer’s mind is tense. They’re pulling out their credit card. They’re a bit nervous. What’s going to happen?
Then — BOOM! A confusing pop-up. A discount code request. An “error” message. A missing field. Whatever.
The checkout process goes up in flames. You surprised them (or they surprised themselves) and you lost.
Watch carefully for any “surprises” in your checkout process. Make it clear, deliberate, and completely free of pop-ups, unexpected messages, and other factors that could be seen as an interruption.
16. Boost Site Speed
If your site is slow, customers will leave.
Tumblr media
The shopping cart is one of the most critical places to boost site speed. Site speed and conversions are tightly correlated. Faster websites are just plain better.
17. Get an SSL Certificate
SSL certificates make customers feel secure. In today’s web, SSL is considered a standard part of good design and development. (It’s also good for your Google ranking!) If your site, and especially your checkout process lacks security measures, you’ll scare some customers away.
18. Display Business Contact Information Prominently
Another way of enhancing the trustworthiness of your website is by adding contact information. Many online businesses display their NAP (name, address, phone number) in the site footer. This is merely one more way of giving your customers the assurance that you are a legitimate and reliable business.
19. Add Chat or Phone Support Options on the Checkout Page
If a customer has a problem, question, or issue with checkout, what are they going to do? In the absence of support options, they might just leave.
To prevent this from happening, add an 800-number or online chat support to the checkout process.
20. Make the Cart Easy to Edit
Your cart should be easy to change. Deleting items, changing quantities, and adjusting shipping options should be intuitive and simple. Don’t make the mistake of creating cryptic buttons that accidentally remove everything in the cart.
21. Show Security Symbols on the Checkout Page
Your checkout page is the place to pile on the security. Obviously, you don’t want to clutter up the page with too many of these, but a few well-placed badges can reassure the skittish customer.
22. Highlight Your Return Policy
Have you ever experienced buyer’s remorse? Some buyers do. Buyer’s remorse doesn’t just happen after a purchase. The anticipation of remorse can sometimes cripple buyers before they purchase.
To prevent this from happening, give customers a clear and easy understanding of your return policy. Make it simple. “Don’t like it? Just return it, on us. No questions asked.”
23. Limit Cross-Selling on the Checkout Page
Trying to cross-sell or upsell customers in the 11th hour may just contribute to shopping cart abandonment, not bigger buys. Keep cross-selling to product page and let the check out page focus on converting.
24. Add Testimonials Everywhere
Some people put testimonials only on a devoted page. I suggest putting them everywhere — even in your checkout process. A simple callout or sidebar with a customer recommendation or two can keep the motivation level high as the customer continues to check out.
25. Personally Review the Checkout Process At Least Once a Month
Do you have first-hand experience with your site’s shopping cart? Do you know what customers are experiencing as they proceed through the funnel, fill out each form, and complete each field?
Personally take the time to test your own shopping cart. As you continually test, refine, and edit your shopping cart process, you’ll be able to iron out wrinkles that may be contributing to abandonment.
26. Be Careful With Coupon Codes
Coupon codes are a double-edged sword. On the one hand, they may motivate customers to purchase. On the other hand, they could prevent customers from completing the transaction.
If a customer doesn’t have a coupon code, for instance, they may leave the site to look for one, but never return.
27. Make Shipping Times as Quick as Possible
Many online customers want their order to arrive as soon as possible. Make arrangements for expedited shipping if customers want it.
28. Provide Courteous and Helpful Error Messages
If a user gets frustrated with the checkout process, they are likely to quit. As you optimize your checkout process, create error notifications that are as helpful and direct as possible. There are two angles to this:
Make it easy for them to find the error on the form.
Make it easy for them to fix the error.
29. Accept Any Currency
If you offer international sales, make sure you are providing clear currency conversion information as well as acceptance of other currencies.
30. Allow Multiple Payment Methods
As e-commerce shopping has become more popular, there has also been an expansion of payment methods. Open the gates as wide as possible and allow buyers to use any credit card, Paypal, Amazon, or any other forms of payment that are common within your niche.
If you need more ideas to lower cart abandonment, try these three strategies.
Conclusion
The effects of shopping cart abandonment can kill your e-commerce bottom line.
As eager as you are to reel users back in, let’s be honest. There’s no such thing as 0% abandonment. Some e-commerce customers will abandon their carts, and you’re going to have to accept it.
Don’t use it as an excuse to keep you from fighting for as many conversions as possible. You’re going to win some back, and it’s worth the effort.

Three Benefits of the MailWizz PHP Script
If you are running a business, then you will almost certainly be using an email service provider to stay in contact with your customers.
There are many high-quality email service providers on the market today that can fit your specific needs, but they come at a high price. MailWizz offers you an affordable way to send out emails to your customers and enables you to only pay for emails that you send.
Here are three reasons why MailWizz can be a great fit for your business.
1. You Only Pay for the Emails You Send
Email service providers such as MailChimp, Convertkit, and Constant Contact have robust platforms that can fit your email marketing needs regardless of your business size. However, these platforms can be very expensive.
These platforms have a user interface for you to interact with and allow you to send as many emails as you need from their servers for a monthly fee. MailWizz helps you break free from this monthly subscription.
By hosting the MailWizz software on your own server, you can hook up the email provider (Amazon SES, SendGrid, MailGun, etc.) of your choice to the MailWizz application and handle your email marketing needs this way. All you need to pay for is the low one time cost of the script and for the emails that you send. This will work out to being much lower than the cost of a subscription for the monthly payments.
2. It Comes With a Complete Set of Email Marketing Tools.
Since there is only a low one-time payment, for the MailWizz application, you may think that it does not have as many features as some of the more expensive email service providers. This couldn't be further from the truth.
MailWizz is a complete email marketing tool that has all the basic features as well as advanced ones. You can create specific campaigns, autoresponders, and send out mass emails with MailWizz just like with all of the other providers out there. A few advanced features that are included that other providers do not have are the control over your bounce servers, delivery servers, and feedback loop servers.
3. You Can Be an Email Service Provider for Someone Else
MailWizz allows you to start your own email SAAS business. Since the application is self-hosted, you have full control over the emails sent and who sends them. You can charge people to send emails through the MailWizz application and present them with payment gateways that give them access to specific functions and limits within the application. The users can have their own separate account on MailWizz that is separate from yours, so you can also use MailWizz for your own email marketing needs as well. Payment gateways, pricing plans, taxes, and promo codes can all be handled by MailWizz, so no further development will be needed to start your SAAS business.
Here is the user dashboard of MailWizz that your potential customers will have access to.

Implications of the expiry of Amazon’s OneClick patent for e-commerce industry
In this article, Deepshikha Sarkar discusses the implications of the expiry of Amazon’s OneClick patent for e-commerce industry.
What is OneClick?
OneClick, also called 1-Click or one-click is an online buying method which was patented by the company Amazon. The patent was granted by The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as US 5960411 in 1999. But as it was applied for in 1997, it expired on 12th September 2017. The US patent can be found here
OneClick is a technique which allows customers to make online purchase with just one single hit subsequent to the first order. When a customer places his first order and entres payment method and shipping order with Amazon, OneClick is automatically enabled. With this technology customer’s order is be automatically charged to the payment method and shipped to the address associated with his OneClick settings.
Amazon claimed OneClick to be New as it allows an online shopper using an internet marketplace to purchase an item without having to use shopping cart software. Instead of manually inputting billing and shipping information for a purchase, a user can use OneClick buying to use a predefined address and credit card number to purchase one or more items.
What are the implications of expiry of a patent?
IN THE UNITED STATES
Amazon’s OneClick has been one of its major advantages on the road to market dominance in the US.
Amazon patented the then novel technology back in 1999. Barnes and Noble introduced their own system called Express Lane. Amazon sued Barnes & Noble for using their patent and won.
Some companies have licensed the 1-Click buy from Amazon, most notably Apple in 2000, as Steve Jobs believed it to be crucial for the growth of the iTunes Store.
With the expiring of the patent, the field is now the same for all, it will be soon once online retailers catch up with implementation. The big companies have long been anticipating this day and are already developing their own technology for 1-Click purchases. Giants like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook have been gearing up to take the 1-Click buy to just about any page on the web.
Facebook itself already has a Buy button, and other social media players like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram may not be soon behind.
It is expected that in the future OneClick buying will be the norm. All leading retailers, social media sites, cookie enabled browsers and websites like PayPal will store information. Internet will act as megastore and browsing will be smooth, users will be seamlessly picking from the plethora of options.
The expiry of patent gives an opportunity to all e-commerce stores — the big and the small. As online experiences are automated, consumers’ lives are enriched with ever smoother and quicker interactions.
These innovations will further fuel the growth of e-commerce and fast-track the advance of machine learning, making lives simpler and easy to check out anytime, anywhere.
INDIA
The trademark was claimed under CPC class G06Q 10/087 which protects Data Processing systems or methods and more specifically Inventory or stock management.
This Data Processing System is in direct contravention of Indian law. As far as the patentability of process, workflow or method patents is concerned, the processes and products which are not patentable is mentioned in Section 3, Patents Act, 1970 (Those which are not inventions). Presentation of information or a business method falls is not considered an invention under section 3(n).
It is important to note that Amazon has not launched OneClick in India, keeping aside the fact that OneClick could not be patented in India Amazon made a conscious business decision as to not launch it in India. There were no regulatory setbacks, as OneClick functions as Mail Order Telephone Order transaction (MOTO) in the United States and MOTO transactions are allowed by the RBI to Credit card holders in India.
EUROPE
It can be safely said that the implications will not be huge outside the US as it was never successfully launched or patented anywhere else apart from the USA.
Amazon was never able obtain a patent for OneClick in Europe. In fact, they continued trying to get Patent rights in the European Union with continuous appeals for ten years starting from 2001. They were rejected last in 2011.
CONCLUSION
There were a lot of questions raised as to granting the patent of the nature of OneClick but it was groundbreaking in terms of online shopping. On the event of the patent expiring, consumers could see a lot more opportunities to shop impulsively—in case they have already provided their payment details to the merchant. It also creates situations in which consumers to end up with purchases they didn’t mean to buy.
But it remains a good news for retailers that are trying to find new ways to lure consumers their way and away from Amazon. Also, technology bigwigs like Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft will surely include this single click ordering technology on their own websites. This will facilitate the consumers shopping online to make purchases through merely a click of the mouse on any website via the details saved on their web browser.
Whether this system post the expiry of the Patent will be a huge impactful success or not is still a question. This is dependant upon American web shopper’s propensity to adopt a system which mandates entry of address and payment details into their browser.

Running A Christmas Facebook Campaign
Christmas is a busy time for most businesses because people are always in a shopping mood. According to Statista, the total holiday retail sales reach around $730 billion in the US, and holiday sales account for 19.2% of all retail activity.
If you want to take advantage of this buzz, you need to create a good marketing strategy, especially on social media platforms like Facebook. A well-thought-out plan can help a business stand out and catch attention. Here are some tips on running an effective Facebook campaign:
Add a Christmas Theme to Your Profile
Add a bit of a Christmas cheer to your company profile by changing the header image and logo. Many businesses make small but noticeable adjustments like adding some sparkles or a tiny Santa hat to their home page’s header. These changes help customers get into a festive mood, which can increase sales.
This might also be a useful addition for organic, Christmas-based campaigns. Post pictures of last year’s offers or events before implying that this year will be even better. Businesses can use organic campaigns as a way to build anticipation. Customers will be primed for new offers or events when it is finally the holiday season.
Start Planning Early
Customers begin holiday shopping as early as October. People buy Christmas gifts before Thanksgiving dinner has even passed. That’s why businesses must start planning as soon as possible. Around 20% of Christmas shoppers get their shopping done in October, and the rest are active during November. People want to avoid last-minute stress, low stocks, and poor collection of options, which is why they don’t wait until December.
Capture early customers with carefully crafted ad campaigns. Include attractive offers like limited-time discounts, coupons, gift card giveaways, etc.
Create an Audience Profile
Facebook ads are more effective when you choose your target audience carefully. Create a detailed customer profile based on past shopping data. Get answers to questions like:
Where do most of your traffic come from?
When do people shop?
Do they come from mobile or desktop platforms?
What’s your audience demographic? What’s the gender, age, or level of education?
An excellent analytics tool will provide vital information about prospective customers. Developing an audience profile doesn’t just help marketers set proper targeting parameters; it can also help build customized campaigns. You can frame the story carefully, so it appeals to your target audience.
Plan a Budget
Plan a budget carefully while keeping the holiday volume in mind. Many business owners forget that more people click on ads during high-volume periods, which can increase CPC costs. Marketers must keep two factors in mind: people will click without buying, and buyers may come late.
You don’t want to exhaust all clicks before real buyers find the ad. Carefully study all target audience activity to identify when they’re active and use this information in an ad campaign. Business owners should also consider increasing their Facebook ad budget for October, November, and December.
Use Facebook Pixel to Keep Track of Interactions
Facebook Pixel and SDK codes measure interactions across multiple devices like smartphones, desktops, tablets, etc. Add these codes to your website or app to track people who have expressed an interest in your brand. You can direct ads to these prospects automatically based on information obtained from those codes.
This tracking information can be used on Facebook, Instagram, and the platform’s Audience Network, which makes it very valuable.
Focus on Quality
Modern customers are accustomed to beautiful images and highly polished content. Companies must ensure their ad campaign graphics can keep up. Hire a good graphics designer to create Christmas-themed materials. Use high-performance cameras for images and make sure all videos are crisp.
Poor quality images immediately stand out, attracting negative attention. Customers expect brands to put in some extra effort during Christmas time; poor graphics can have an impact on their reputation.
Use Multiple Ad Formats
Facebook provides many marketing options. You can choose video ads, promoted content, carousel ads, image-based content, and so much more. Business owners shouldn’t put all of their eggs in one basket, especially when there are options available. Approach customers from different directions with a campaign containing multiple formats.
Don’t ignore organic mediums like Livestreams, regular content, interaction in comment threads, etc. Successful brands often maintain comprehensive organic and paid campaigns simultaneously.
Aggressively Drive Sales
Switch on an aggressive marketing strategy as soon as Christmas starts. Offer discounts, free shipping, gift-wrapping services, priority shipping, etc. Most businesses are still able to make a profit through sheer sales volume, despite all additional marketing expenses.
Focus on customers with a history of conversion. Retarget them with customized ads based on their shopping history or interactions with other promotional campaigns. Business owners should also have a strong retargeting strategy for abandoned shopping carts. An aggressive push is necessary because customers can be easily distracted during holiday shopping.
Leverage Mobile
Mobile shopping has increased considerably in recent years so businesses can’t afford to ignore this platform. Create campaigns specifically for mobile users, especially on Instagram and Messenger platforms. You can also optimize ads for mobiles by modifying the ad copy. Make sure all advertising materials look great con smaller smartphone screens. A/B test every copy carefully to see how a sample audience responds for maximum success.
Facebook has more than two billion monthly active users, which makes it the perfect platform for capturing new customers.

New Post has been published on https://payment-providers.com/how-to-audit-google-analytics-data-for-ecommerce/
How to Audit Google Analytics Data, for Ecommerce
Data from Google Analytics helps ecommerce merchants make key decisions. But that assumes the data is accurate. In this post, I’ll provide instructions for conducting a Google Analytics audit to confirm the accuracy of the data or identify potential errors.
Google Analytics Audit Process
The following areas can cause reporting errors.
Duplicate Google Analytics tags. Go to Behavior > Site Content > All Pages and compare “Unique Pageviews” to “Pageviews.” Pages with at least twice the number of Pageviews as Unique Pageviews could contain multiple Google Analytics tags.
Compare “Unique Pageviews” to “Pageviews.” Pages with at least twice the number of Pageviews as Unique Pageviews could contain multiple Google Analytics tags. Click image to enlarge.
Landing pages and other pages reported as “(not set).” Navigate to the reports at Behavior > Site Content > All Pages and Behavior > Site Content > Landing Pages. Pages listed as “(not set)” indicate a problem with Google Analytics tags on the site. For example, Events tags could be firing before the page tag, which could cause Google Analytics not to identify the page attached to the Events hit.
Navigate to the reports at Behavior > Site Content > All Pages and Behavior > Site Content > Landing Pages. Pages listed as “(not set)” indicate a problem with Google Analytics tags. Click image to enlarge.
To dig further, if there are Events reported in Google Analytics, go to Behavior > Events > Top Events, then Secondary Dimension by “Landing Page” and report all Events where the Landing Page is “(not set).” This should give clues for which Events are not tied to pages.
Go to Behavior > Events > Top Events, then Secondary Dimension by “Landing Page” and report all events where the Landing Page is “(not set).” Click image to enlarge.
If there are no issues with Events, try the same process with the Ecommerce reports, at Conversions > Ecommerce and applying a Secondary Dimension by “Landing Page.” For example, the “Product Performance” report below shows Enhanced Ecommerce hits that are not tied to a Landing Page.
Try the same process with Ecommerce reports, setting Secondary Dimension by “Landing Page.” Click image to enlarge.
Once the Events or Enhanced Ecommerce hits are found that accompany the “(not set)” Landing Page, the hard part is fixing it. (A certified Google Analytics consultant could help.)
AdWords not properly integrated with Analytics. Traffic from Google Ads (formerly AdWords) can be misreported if not set up properly. In “Use Google Analytics to Audit PPC Traffic,” I addressed how to audit PPC traffic to confirm accurate reporting in Analytics.
Incorrect sources reporting. Go to Acquisition > All Traffic > Source/Medium and review the top sources of Sessions and Transactions. If any are unfamiliar or do not make sense, dig deeper. A typical merchant’s website will have organic, CPC, direct, and email as the top traffic sources, followed by traffic from social and referrals. If your domain or another source is responsible for a large percentage of Sessions or Transactions, there may be a tracking or tagging issue.
To check internal referrals and referral spam, see “Google Analytics: Removing Internal Traffic and Referral Spam.” If CPC, email, social, or other traffic is not showing up as expected, read “Google Analytics: How to Track Marketing Campaigns.”
The “Source/Medium” report can quickly point to issues with tracking social, CPC, and email traffic. Click image to enlarge.
Improper transactions or revenue. Make sure the transactions and revenue reported in Google Analytics are within 95 percent of actual online sales. Use the Conversions > Ecommerce > Overview report to compare reported sales to actual for a given period.
Revenue and transactions data should be within 95 percent of actual online sales. Click image to enlarge.
If the transactions are close to the actual but revenue is not, look at individual transactions in the “Sales Performance” report at Ecommerce > Sales Performance to identify issues with the data sent to Google Analytics via the Ecommerce tags.
If the transactions are close to the actual but revenue is not, look at individual transactions in the “Sales Performance” report at Ecommerce > Sales Performance. Click image to enlarge.
Do the quantities align with actual? Does Product Revenue look correct with accurate totals when including tax and shipping?
If revenue and transactions are both too small, there could be missing sales due to the Ecommerce tags firing too low on the page or the page itself having loading issues that impact the tags. Other areas to investigate are payment methods besides credit card (such as PayPal) that redirect the user back to the order confirmation page after making payment.
Duplicate transactions. If the above process identified higher numbers of transactions than actual, the problem could be duplications. To audit for duplicate transactions, go to Conversions > Ecommerce > Overview and note the total transactions reported.
To audit for duplicate transactions, go to Conversions > Ecommerce > Overview and note the total transactions reported. Click image to enlarge.
Then go to “Sales Performance” at Conversions > Ecommerce > Sales Performance and look for the total rows of transaction IDs.
Go to “Sales Performance” at Conversions > Ecommerce > Sales Performance and look for the total rows of transaction IDs. Click image to enlarge.
In this example, there were 308 transactions reported in total, but 303 individual transaction IDs. That means there were five duplicate transactions, or roughly 1 percent of the total, which is not too bad. If you see 10 percent or more duplicate transactions, investigate. Work with your ecommerce shopping cart to implement a solution that does not allow customers to revisit the order confirmation page to trigger another ecommerce transaction sent to Google Analytics after the initial order. If the shopping cart cannot fix, custom JavaScript may be the answer. That would likely require a developer, however.
Data Drives Growth
Accurate data in Google Analytics is essential to drive ecommerce performance. Properly setting up Google Analytics is critical. For more, see “Google Analytics Setup Checklist for Ecommerce.”

Employ 10 Facebook Ads Features To Boost Output Of Your Budget For Paid Social
Tumblr media
Since social media has gained prominence in the life of people, businesses are trying to find ways to tap in to the opportunities to push up the sales. And the platforms are only trying to make it easier for them in a way that they themselves can reap benefits, results of which is introduction of paid social, now flourishing dramatically. Companies are spending around 50% more on social advertising with ad revenues expected to reach $35.90 billionby 2017. No surprise here that Facebook (with Instagram) gets the major chunk of that pie, around two-third of the social ad spend in 2015. They continue to experiment and bring new features to empower their advertising model which attracts more and more business to invest. If you want to make the most of the Facebook ads, know these 10 tips / features to use the platform to meet your marketing goals. Report Analysis The part is treasure trove of the most valuable insights, especially its ‘Breakdown’ section. It tells about things like performance of yourmobile placements (like Instagram placement or mobile news feed placement), regions that are converting (or not converting), the gender your ads are influencing most, etc. Lead Ads Latest often means best, which is also understood by the case of Facebook Lead Ads. It allows advertisers to collect lead data through a form within the Facebook platform, eliminating the need to take the visitor to your landing page of your website. Here’s how to go about it. Have a clear objective of lead generation while creating a new campaign. At advert level, just add a lead form, choosing questions of your liking and addition custom questions if you want. After that, the only thing that remains is the formality of adding ‘Disclaimer’and destination URL, linking ‘Privacy Policy’ page. At this stage, you can customize your form before previewing and actually creating it. (The tool is similar to Twitter Lead Cards) Attribution models Your conversion goal would be different than others, and you need to make changes accordingly. By understanding rules for conversion count with respect to the time taken by the user to interact with your ad, you can work intelligently with the FB attribution model. To change the attribution model, go inside the ‘Manage adverts’ where under ‘Columns’ you can customise columns through the option ‘Customize Columns…’ which ultimately leads to ‘Change Attribution Window’. Lookalike audiences When Facebook imitates the criteria of your current customers or audience to generate similar audience with similarities ininterests, demographics, behaviours and likes, the result is a lookalike audience. But the process is initiated with conversion goals in mind. Instagram placements Instagram if works good for your branding goals, it will make sense to look positively towards Instagram placements that now appear within the Facebook Ads Dashboard since 2015. Ad it’s really easy to do. Just be assured of the performance by testing with smaller budgets. Location options Location targeting can be done very specifically which companies often are not able to take advantage of. What kind of location selection would give you the best response; do you want to target people of a specific city or those who are coming to a specific location routinely in the same city? It is just one example. Work on your own location targeting. Remarketing With the audience segmentation options in Facebook, you can control the pages / domains to include or exclude which lets you pick the remarketing window length. Those buyers who have viewed / purchased / added specific things to their cart can thus be remarketed similar products or accessories. Then there is the option of Dynamic Remarketing, where the ads change depending on their purchase or product viewing. Breakout campaigns by placement Different placements in Facebook mean different performance which you should be watching (being directly related to budget). Placements can very distinctively get translated into mobile v/s desktop, thus breaking your campaign in that manner will make sense, both for manual bidding or FB optimization of clicks. Content communicating with your audience Granular targeting methods allow you to be well informed of the demographics you are addressing and their interest, behaviours, etc. This will help you to come with the content that speaks to your audience as per their need and activities. Multiple creatives and copies Don’t just have single creative and copy to be happy with it. Have as many variants in front of you as you can manage and discuss as to which one has the potential to best click with your target audience.Optimization will be done by the Facebook on the basis of the ad performance as well as your conversion goal. Try ‘Carousel’ for its multiple values stuffed in a single creative and are known to reduce both CPA and CPC. Read the full article

Jeep Wrangler for my 16-year old?
"Jeep Wrangler for my 16-year old?
My daughter's 16th birthday is coming up in March, and she has been begging to have a Jeep Wrangler as her first car. As a parent, I'm a little skeptical. I've heard stories from both sides of the spectrum-- some saying that they're real donkey carts to drive, others exclaiming the opposite to be true. I've read that the gas mileage isn't all that great either, which doesn't excite me (or my wallet), and I'm not sure how safe the vehicle really is, let alone if they regularly come with problems.     She was, at first, looking at the 4-door Unlimited, but after seeing its fuel economy, is now far more interested in the 2-door Wranglers. (She would be driving this car on the highway, and in part be responsible for paying for her own gas.)    We aren't necessarily looking for a new car. A used one with a good history will suffice in her situation. She's very adamant about having this car, but I'm still unsure.     Can any Wrangler owners give me the low-down on this car?

Auto insurance question???!! HELP!!!!!!?
Hello, i have a question on teen auto insurance. Now i know how bad insurance is for teens and I know sports cars are a horrible choice for a first fully insured car, but my father surprised me with a 2005 V6 Ford Mustang and I would like to know if anyone out there can help me with just telling me how much I am going to be looking in to pay. I live in Orange and I am going to be under my parents, just an estimate on how much it would be each month or 6 months will be fine and please, no rude comments. I understand how foolish it is of me to have a sports car at my age, but I already had an Altima 3.5 se-R with an air intake and drive it perfectly, always obeying speed limits, though this probably isn't going to help with the insurance cost. Hi, i need a bike which is cheap to run, cheap to insure and first and foremost cheap to buy. I don't mind old second hand bikes unless advised against them because I believe you could learn a great deal repairing an old bike than having a new bike that nothing goes wrong with. It needs to grow with my abilities, i.e in a couple of years when i go to university I may want to motorway travel, therefore a 50 cc moped is just not going to do. Don't know whether this is correct, but I once read bikes are safer than mopeds/scooters because they have the acceleratory power to pull away from danger if necessary. Insurance for senior parents?
I'm considering enlisting in the military. One of the benifits I will recieve is life insurance at an affordable cost. I can get a joint policy with my 2 senior parents (who are currently uninsured) given that they are my dependents. In order for them to qualify, my parent's AGI has to be less than $3200. My father is a licensed chauffer (cab driver) and my mother retired early, and is recieving SS benifits. Will the annual SS amount disqualify her? My father does not file for taxes, and currently owes for not filing. (cabbies don't deduct taxes, they make what they make, I guess) My question is, will this be a stretch to try to get them insured via my military benifits, considering their situations?""

Jeep Wrangler for my 16-year old?

Why isn't the Affordable Healthcare Act more like car insurance?
I'm just wondering why no one thought to copy how car insurance works to work with healthcare. Think about it, we'd save a lot on government spending. Those who buy healthcare, are covered through insurance. If you don't buy healthcare, it is up to you to buy it, and if you're asked to show proof of health insurance and don't have it, you're fined. It's simple, easy, and perfectly understandable by anyone. So.. if it works for car insurance... why wouldn't it work for health insurance?""

Who has a better idea for getting health insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions?
The problem is that, without the mandate, insurance companies won't cover people with pre-existing conditions. Otherwise, people will just wait until they get sick to buy insurance. So you have to create a system where everyone is insured -- a mandate. OK, if you don't like the mandate, how would you get insurance companies to provide affordable insurance to people with pre-existing conditions without a requirement for everyone to have insurance Your solution has to cover the situation where a person gets laid off, wants to start their own business, and needs to buy affordable individual coverage (not group coverage) for themselves and their family. You have 30 minutes. Begin....now.""

Car insurance help?!?! I need advice!?
I am 20 year old single male in los angeles, california. I just bought a used 1993 toyota corolla for 1500 with financial aid money, after a tune up and some minor repairs I have 300 left in my pocket. I don't have a job, but I was planning on using this car to help me get one asap. I can barely afford gas. I have no idea what to do. I was told I need to get insurance before I can register my vehicle, which has no plates. (I got the pink slip and all the paper work) My question is what should I do, what insurance is the cheapest. If I don't register it within 10 days will I have to pay late fees? Please help me with any solutions. If I could register it next month it will save me so much grief. Is there anything I can do to make my situation easily until I find a job?""
Why is my insurance going up?
I've been working with my employer for 7 years, as of right now I have employee & spouse coverage, I pay about 150 a month (auto deduct from paycheck) and that amount gets me a $5000 deductible and about a $25-$30 co-pay. this morning in a company meeting we were told that our insurance is going to go up (starting June 1st) now for employee and spouse it is going to be $410 a month (everything else the same as before co-pay and deductible) last year my hubby had some medical issues and we have about $7000 in medical bills (on a payment plan we pay $400 a month) so now when my new rate kicks in (in about a week) I will have to pay a total of $800 a month just for medical stuff... I can't afford this. my employer is very upset and wants to shop around but has been shopping around for 8 months now and can't find anything better than this. why is health insurance rising?? I am thinking about dropping myself from health insurance all together (I am 31 and healthy), also i plan on getting rid of my cable and internet (which would save $140 a month), my husband (with medical issues) will get health insurance through his work (about $160-$200 a month) and I will go without for a couple of years just so we can keep our heads above water... I just have a question about my plan of action- can I drop my Health insurance? will I get fined for opting out of health insurance when Obamacare goes into action next year?""

All the obamacare plans probably have better benefits than your current health insurance. bad news?
September 2013 An Early Look at Premiums and Insurer Participation in Health Insurance Marketplaces, 2014 Cynthia Cox, Gary Claxton, Larry Levitt, Hana Khosla Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), individuals and families may purchase private insurance coverage through new state-based exchanges (or Marketplaces), which are set to open in October of this year for coverage beginning January 1, 2014. In states that decide against operating their own exchanges, the federal government will either run the exchange or work in partnership with the state to create an exchange. Regardless of whether an exchange is state-run or federally-facilitated, enrollees with family incomes from one to four times the federal poverty level (about $24,000 to $94,000 for a family of four) may qualify for tax credits that will lower the cost of coverage through reduced premiums and, in some cases, also be eligible for subsidies to reduce their out-of-pocket costs. This report presents an early look at insurer participation and exchange premiums both before and after tax credits for enrollees in the 17 states plus the District of Columbia that have publicly released comprehensive data on rates or the rate filings submitted by insurers. These include eleven states operating their own exchanges and seven defaulting to a federally-facilitated exchange. Plan availability and premiums for all states are expected to be available by October 1.""
Getting insurance on a bike?

How do I get the car insurance $$ and still keep the car?
How do I get insurance money from a total , and still keep the car? My daughter's front bumper was torn off. The wheel looks a little bent, so it could me major, could be as simple as a tie rod. The adjuster TOTALED the thing! Book value was $2000 LESS than what was stated on car by dealer. I asked insurance how this could be. They said they use NADA, not Kelly. A used one with a good history will suffice in her situation. She's very adamant about having this car, but I'm still unsure.     Can any Wrangler owners give me the low-down on this car?

10 Ways to Reduce Cart Abandonment and 1 Easy Way to Recover Up To 30%
Follow these 10 strategies to reduce cart abandonment and 1 strategy to recover lost sales post cart abandonment
Your customers add items to their carts, they may even start the checkout process, but then they leave the site and abandon the items.
Sounds familiar?
This is the cart abandonment phenomenon.
Cart abandonment is a common phenomenon in e-commerce, with an average cart abandonment rate of 68.63% for 2016 (see chart below).
Online shopping cart abandonment rate worldwide from 2006 to 2017, Statista.
There are many reasons for customers to abandon their carts. Some of the most common reasons can be seen in the chart below.
Primary Reasons for Cart Abandonment in the U.S. in Q4 2016, Statista
So why is cart abandonment a major issue for ecommerce sites?
Think of the amount of resources that are used up to get a shopper to enter your site and get excited about an item so much to put it in their cart. Then if they leave, you have to spend more resources to get them back to your site.
But if you just adjust something on your site, often it’s very simple and effortful, you can prevent spending all of those extra resources.
Furthermore, if that customer doesn’t return to your site and finalizes the purchase, the abandoned items are potential revenue that you have lost. And it adds up to be approximately $18 billion lost revenue per year, according to CPC Strategy.
What can you do?
To help you out, this article will cover 10 ways you can reduce cart abandonment and 1 way to combat cart abandonment after it occurs. We will cover the issue each strategy prevents and how to implement it.
1. Provide Free Shipping
According to Statista, the cost of shipping is the top reason for cart abandonment.
Customers become irritated if they start the checkout process and suddenly see that the total cost is higher, especially if it is very high. Transparency is crucial, so when shoppers tackle previously-hidden shipping costs they feel fooled.
This reduces their satisfaction and trust in the company, resulting in cart abandonment.
To prevent this issue, offer your customers a form free shipping and disclose it at the very beginning of their journey. This way you sell your products with no additional cost and disclose the total cost at the very beginning.
You can experiment with the way you offer free shipping to see which results in the most conversions for your company. Some options are:
Nationwide/worldwide
Selected products/categories
At a minimum order value
For a limited time frame
For first time/returning customers
For cart abandoners in remarketing emails
For example, BetterWorldBooks offers free shipping worldwide.
ThinkGeek offers free shipping at a minimum value of $75 to encourage a higher order value. A purchase with a lower order value will pay a flat rate of $7.95. This shipping policy is disclosed in the beginning using the top banner, which enhances the shopper’s trust in the company.
Prettylittlething offers free shipping for purchases made within 3 hours of entering the site and a next day delivery at an extremely low cost for purchases made by the end of the day. Both options utilize a sense of urgency to encourage fast purchasing.
2. Offer Express Shipping
Some shoppers need a certain product immediately.
If it cannot be delivered by the date they require it, it is of no use to them. Therefore, when a customer starts the checkout process and realizes there is no shipping option quick enough for her desired date, the customer will abandon the cart.
This cart abandonment issue can be easily avoided by offering express shipping and/or next day delivery.
The way in which ASOS offers free shipping is insufficient. There are only two options and there is no indication of how fast the express delivery is. The full explanation may be in the FAQ page, but a shopper may not bother to check it and leave instead.
On the other hand boohoo is a stellar example. There are 4 options of shipping within the U.S. and each option has its price and expected number of delivery days. This way a shopper can make an informative decision.
3. Offer Guest Checkout
Needing to create a new user account irritates some shoppers because it elongates the checkout process and without giving shoppers a choice.
Shoppers who seek immediacy can see it as such a nuisance having to put time and effort to complete the transaction that they abandon their carts.
This is easily fixable by offering a guest checkout option. If the shopper chooses this option, offer them to make a new user account after the transaction is made.
You should give your customers a choice, so the guest checkout option should be on top of the option to login, create a new user account and more.
An example of a clear and efficient strategy is dotti. Not only does dotti provide a guest checkout option but it also assures to shoppers that it won’t require creating an account.
4. Make Your Checkout Process Clearer
A confusing checkout process can also result in cart abandonment.
If shoppers don’t understand where they need to click or why they need to fill something in, they might just leave the site. Customers don’t want to put much effort into making the transaction.
According to Baymard this is a major issue as 1 in 4 shoppers abandoned their cart because of a long or complicated checkout process.
How can you clarify your checkout process?
Have clear calls to action (clarifying the next action, where they’ll get to).
Explain why each form element needs to be filled out.
Have a back button to the site (otherwise might leave the website altogether)
Have an edit button for the product (otherwise might leave the website)
ASOS shows how this can be done properly. The checkout has 4 steps. Each one is short and has one, clear CTA to continue to the next step. Once the CTA is clicked on the next step is automatically revealed, with the final CTA being the “place order” button.
This approach allows a clear and flowing checkout. Furthermore, the customer can edit their cart or go back to the website all throughout the process.
5. Auto-Apply Coupons
If a customer sees a coupon field in the checkout, they most often get the feeling that they’ll be paying too much without a discount.
So, they begin to search for a code on the site or codes they’ve received via email. Once they start looking for it, they often don’t return to the site - either because of diversions or because they wait until they are offered a discount.
Alternatively, if they haven’t been offered a code they might decide to wait for one.
This issue can be easily solved by eliminating coupon code bars in the checkout and auto-applying coupon codes for shoppers that are offered a discount (via email or popup), see the example below.
Another option is to have a set banner with the coupon code which the customer can see on the checkout page as well, as boohoo does.
If the shopper isn’t offered a discount, make the coupon bar less noticeable and farther away from the checkout.
6. Include Security Symbols
Concerns about payment security (i.e. stolen identities or credit card information, incorrect charging of the card, etc.) is one of the main reasons for cart abandonment.
If the shopper doesn’t fully trust the company she’ll most likely abandon her cart.
To earn the shopper’s trust and ensure credibility, include:
SSL certificates.
Trust seals (logos) - without one, 61% of shoppers will not make a purchase (Actual Insights).
Logos of other known companies who cooperate with the site.
Reviews and testimonials of customers who have made a purchase
Zappos displays security logos on each page of the checkout process to reiterate safety. If a customer clicks on “more information” they can read about SSL technology, VeriSign cooperation, firewalls and more. There are also numerous customer reviews.
7. Provide a Live Chat Option
Your shoppers may have questions or issues about technicalities (the product, shipping, returns, etc.) or may be hesitant about their shopping decision.
If the shopper does not have who to contact for these issues they might leave. If the shopper contacts the company via emails or social media the replies might take too long and may be intermittent, which is likely to result in cart abandonment as well.
Live chat prevents all of that.
With live chat your sales representatives can provide immediate, flowing and ongoing customer service, to ensure all doubts and issues are removed. Hence, this type of customer service is more effective in keeping the customer on-site and satisfied.
Furthermore, the nature of the replies in live chat is similar to the nature of face-to-face communication in-store, which is more approachable and provides intimacy and personal interaction.
Indeed, a study by LivePerson found that 51% of online shoppers are more likely to make a purchase if they have live chat support.
SimplyBe is a great example. The customer only needs fill in their name, email and question. The reply is extremely quick (my reply was within two minutes) and is extremely personal (using the salesperson’s name and approachable tone).
8. Inject Customer Input
Other shoppers’ opinions have a great influence over the individual’s opinion because of their objectivity to the company. There are perceived as a reliable and unbiased source as they have nothing to gain from advocating for the company.
Therefore, social proof is a great way to help customers who are hesitant (about the product, shipping, security, etc.) to make up their minds.
Create social proof by injecting as much customer added information as possible and encouraging customers to add their inputs. Such information includes:
Reviews
Testimonials
Ratings
Customers’ photos with the product
French Connection is an excellent example for providing customer input (and having much of it). On the product page, the customer can see each person’s review and rating as well as the date it was posted in a clear manner.
Boohoo sets a great example for providing and encouraging visual customer input:
9. Improve Your Return Policy
The third reason for cart abandonment is the hassle of return. Meaning, returning unwanted products is complex, costly, short in time, etc.
But, if shoppers are able to return the product for free and have a long time period in which they can return it, the negative consequences of ending up not wanting the product are removed.
Cpcstrategy found that 2 out of 3 shoppers would buy more online if returns were free.
Having higher flexibility in the return of products can motivate hesitant shoppers to make a purchase, knowing they can easily and without cost return items if they end up not wanting them.
So make your return policy include:
Many days to return (ideally 30 days or more)
Free returns
late/wrong delivery will receive compensation (financial or product wise)
A comprehensive return policy information on the site to eliminate any speculations
Zappos is known for being the star of return policies.
First, it provides extensive return information on the FAQ page:
Second, its return policy is extremely favorable and risk-free - allowing a cost-free return for a year from the purchase date.
10. Provide a Wide Variety of Payment Methods
If shoppers cannot pay with their preferred payment method they most likely will abandon their carts. According to ClickandBuy this number stands at 50% of shoppers.
So, provide the widest variety of payment methods to prevent this cart abandonment reason from prevailing. Some of the common payment methods you must include are:
Visa
MasterCard
Discover
American Express
PayPal
Local payment methods. For example AliPay in China.
Aliexpress offers a very wide variety of payment methods. It accepts all of the following:
And... 1 Way to Recover Up to 30% of Your Abandoned Carts:
The previous 10 changes will reduce your cart abandonment rate, but unfortunately, cart abandonment cannot be eliminated completely.
Worry not - we have a strategy for post-abandonment!
It is the multi-stage email remarketing campaign.
This includes a series of triggered emails that are personalized and generated in real-time. The emails may contain the abandoned cart contents, product recommendations, monetary incentives and more.
The emails allow you to re-engage and interact with your customers, building a relationship with them.
They efficiently motivate your abandoners to return to the site and recover their carts - proven to reduce cart abandonment by 10%-30% and induce an average of 18% conversion rate.
After implementing a cart abandonment software, SurfStitch achieved a 300% revenue lift and more than doubled their ROI. The cart abandonment emails (see one below) had a 300% increase in conversion rate and 50% increase in click-through-rate.
Learn about this campaign’s best practices, to maximize its effectiveness and recover as many carts as possible.
Final Thoughts
This list offers solutions that are relatively easy and quick to implement and can greatly reduce your cart abandonment rate.
We recommend you first investigate which of the issues discussed are most detrimental for your company, as each company has different weak spots. According to that, determine which of these strategies is most urgent for you to implement and start with it.
In this manner, tackle your cart abandonment reasons one by one from the most crucial to the one with the smallest effect.
At the same time, implement a cart abandonment emails software for recovering lost sales, as not all cart abandonments can be prevented.
Lastly, always remember to track your cart abandonment rate when you implement these changes, to monitor your success.
