I'm cis, but from what i observed, no one was happier to see a young person embrace there true gender than my old college choir director.

The trans kids had to sing in both men's and women's choral, so she always got a solid alto/tenor out of the deal, no matter where the singer originally started out.

Also think it was good for the singer, ikd, i heard a segment on npr when I was maybe 14 about trans people who took voice lessons to achieve the voice they wanted...but my choir director would basically through those on for the cost of a college credit.

Anyways my point is, if you are a young trans person looking for a safe place to find comunity, and you like music, a choir might be a good place to look.

I mean, my choir experience was wonderfully and crazy and queer as fuck!...

(But I also whent to the gayest of the American Jesuit university....)

But, if you like to sing and you are looking for a safe place to be, choir is a great place to be

My choir teacher tried to put a southern twang on a British accent, but it just turned into an Australian accent. That checks out.

ive been mulling over this for like an hour this really got me HAHA

my dad prerocorded him singing lullabies for us around 2005 on vhs tapes bc he used to sing us to sleep but he was gonna be deployed in afghanistan for a few years so we wouldnt be able to get that nightly song,,

id wanna relive watching those next to the fire w my siblings before we went to bed

its one of my favorite memories tbh when i think about it i get very fuzzy inside :)
