I'm sorry, but Katniss being like "There's only four people alive who love me unconditionally" in CF then (in a way) losing all of them's love (at least temporarily) in the next book is something that can be so personal-

The writers are making me 🤦‍♀️ because less than SIX months to plan a wedding?!

But the more I think about it the more I try to find reasonable explanations:

She's planning a wedding with her fiance clear across the country! Even with her friends there she still needs her fiance for his input.

She just adopted her daughter. Finding time to build the connection is very important and also settling in as a family.

Visiting Matt, probably several times, to also reconnect and rebuild their relationship and bond with the Darden boys.

Another another note, my thoughts on tonight's episode.

To be honest Severide was annoying me this episode. Cruz did step up while you were away so I get his frustration (although he could have also toned his huffing abit) about having to take a step back. I do hope he does take the Lieutenants test.

Violet being chosen as maid of honor. While I would have chosen Stella I get why Violet was chosen. She was really there for Sylvie last season. Plus with Gallo gone and she is soon losing her friend and Ambo partner it seemed like Violet was holding on to something familiar and wanting to help plan Sylvie's wedding. She seems up for the task and has the time. *But note to writers, you can have more than one MOD - Violet can be Maid of Honor and Stella can be Matron of Honor.

Still not onboard with the Violet/Carver pairing. Can we give Violet a break from romance until next season? Also, wasn't he still pining over Stella not to long ago?

I am looking forward to next weeks episode!

It was nice to see new episodes of TV once again . I give this premiere episode of CF season 12 a grade of a B.

What I liked:

BRETTSEY ENGAGEMENT!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the scenes with Sylvie and Mouch/Stella/Violet. They really are going to miss one another when she leaves.

Gallo's goodbye. So happy he has family that he's with now, it makes me happy. Also, his heartwrenching goodbye with Violet and Ritter.

Kylie is a candidate!

Things that were just meh:

For those who have waited so long for an engagement, it was so annoying not to get to see the answer! We want to see Sylvie say yes!

While I liked that we got a Brettsey family photo, this a $$$ franchise, they couldn't get a better photoshop picture?

What really slowed this episode down for me was another OFI case. It's getting really repetitive at this point and the cases lose its luster because we've already seen many cases like it before.

Not sure how I feel about Carver and Violet. I'd hope they let her take a break and focus on herself.

With that said I'm looking forward to when Matt returns and hopefully we get a wedding.

Wait, wait, wait! Wait! Hold on a second!

So Yuji was born with a Cursed Finger already sealed within him?

Okay... how in the absolute fuck did Kenjaku do that?! HOW?! It makes sense why Yuji was capable of doing a lot of abnormal things before.

This changes my perspective of these scenes here.

Megumi states here that he must have been chasing the remains of lingering cursed energy from Sukuna's Cursed Finger and he still could have been.

But what if that whole time he actually sensed that Cursed Finger that was already sealed inside Yuji?

Which now makes me question... in all the 15 years Yuji has been living... NOT A SINGLE JUJUTSU SORCERER OR EVEN A CURSE USER CROSSED PATHS WITH THIS KID IN SENDAI AND SENSED THAT?!

Like, I know there had to be a couple of missions in Sendai. Must have been one of those dormant, quiet Cursed Fingers...

EDIT: Apparently, I'm wrong, Yuji wasn't born with a finger sealed in him, my bad. I did a count breakdown and still got 20 fingers. No, folks! Yuji had consumed 15 fingers, Rika ate the last one and Uraume retrieved 4 fingers! I mean I saw three here and assumed the one Sukuna is holding in the third panel was one of the those fingers but my bad!! Sorry, folks!

I'm getting to the point in the story where Lae'zel starts to question her devotion to her Queen. And there's this one line she speaks that is so, so good:

"What good this heart of stone, for it to be shattered?

It just gives this awful sense of like... she knows that how she is - how her people are - is brutal and cruel. She's self-aware about how hardened and stunted her emotions are, about what she's been made into. I think one can safely assume that most githyanki are.

She's aware of it, but up until this point, she's accepted it because she's been assured by her entire culture that it will be worth it. All of this suffering has a purpose, and though she may be battered and hardened and permanently scarred, she is these things so that she may be worthy of ascension. Of the reward waiting for her in the end.

And now that's gone. She's learning that there is no reward - no positive reason for everything that she's been made to be - and she's distraught.

What was the point, then? What was the point of hurting and suffering and rejecting every soft, positive emotion in her life? Why put herself through this lifetime of militant brutality when there is no respite at the end of it?

It's just crushing, the way she says it. You can feel her despair at this awful revelation. This realization that all the terrible things she has been molded into are for nothing.

Gosh, I hope the game lets me hug her at some point. Or like... I dunno... brush her hair, or something. She deserves it.
