These macroeconomic factors have indirectly impacted overall demand for CBRNE integrated vehicles. Additionally, at a regional level the demand for CBRNE integrated vehicles witnessed increase due to the rising tensions of the conflict and concerns over use of chemical & nuclear agents in the war.
Key Takeaways:
∙       Fastest Growth of Asia Pacific Region
Asia Pacific region is analyzed to grow with the highest CAGR 6.3% in the global CBRNE Integrated Vehicle Market during the forecast period 2023-2030. Rising investments in Army and Defense has led to a growing demand for CBRNE Integrated Vehicle in the region. For Instance, in 2022, South Korea's Defense Acquisition Programme Administration (DAPA) has signed a contract with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an airborne mine countermeasures (AMCM) system for the Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN) worth $70 million. According to KAI, its Marineon amphibious mobile helicopter, which is being developed for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps (RoKMC), will be modified for the role. These systems will include laser mine Integrated Vehicle, an underwater autonomous mine search vehicle, and an unmanned mine neutralization system.
∙       Reconnaissance Vehicles are Leading the Market
Reconnaissance Vehicles with new systems accounted for the largest share, attributing a value of $2.5 Billion in 2022. Reconnaissance vehicles, also known as recce vehicles or scout vehicles, are specialized military vehicles designed for the purpose of gathering information about the enemy, terrain, and other relevant aspects of the battlefield. The electrification of reconnaissance vehicles in the military is a growing trend aimed at enhancing their stealth, agility, and sustainability. Electric propulsion systems, including hybrid and fully electric options, reduce noise levels, making these vehicles more discreet during covert operations. Moreover, electric reconnaissance vehicles contribute to lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions, aligning with environmental and logistical considerations in modern military strategies. This transition represents a significant advancement in military technology, enabling more efficient and eco-friendly reconnaissance missions. In March 2023, the US Army approved the requirements to begin prototyping its new Electric Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (eLRV).
∙       Unmanned Vehicles to Register Highest Growth
Unmanned Vehicles segment is analyzed to grow with the highest CAGR 7.5% during the forecast period 2023-2030. This is owing to several nations are investing in CBRNE integrated vehicle contracts for homeland security, In February 2023, FIR teledyne defense, a division of teledyne technologies incorporated, announced that the U.S. department of defense has awarded it a $13.3 million contract to enhance the CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) reconnaissance capabilities of its R80D SkyRaider unmanned aerial system.
∙       The Continuous Rise in Military Expenditures and Spending Across the Globe Is Driving the Market.
According to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute report, In 2022, global military spending increased by 3.7% in real terms to a record $2,240 billion. Over the decade 2013-22, global spending increased by 19% and has risen every year since 2015. Military expenditure by states in Central and Western Europe totaled $345 billion in 2022. Russia's invasion of Ukraine was a major driver of spending growth in 2022. Military spending in Europe increased by 13% last year, the largest annual increase in total European spending since the Cold War. Significant increases in Russian and Ukrainian spending accounted for much of the exceptional growth, but many other European countries increased their military budgets in 2022.
∙       High Costs Associated with CBRNE Detection Services & Products as a Major Challenge
Developing advanced CBRNE Integrated Vehicles requires significant investments in research and development. Creating reliable and sensitive vehicle to detect a wide range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive agents necessitates extensive research, testing, and innovation. Operating CBRNE integrated vehicles need specialized training for the personnels, and the operators involved. it’s Veteran’s Day so
have a picture of me from basic training hearing out a VERY important briefing before we proceed into a chamber to get blasted with Basically Tear Gas
as you can see I was THRILLED with what was to come :)
(no joke tho I was kinda sick that day and even though the tear gas hurt like a bitch it DID clear my sinuses out like you would not believe. I wasn’t sick anymore after that)
and also no I’m not still in the military, I separated in 2020. This picture is from some time in the summer of 2014. But it’s fun looking back on these :D

Chishiya x gn!reader [hospital au] part 3
Tumblr media
TW!: mentions of casualties,slight swearing

Another long day. Working overtime was a common thing. Especially for a workaholic like Chishiya.
He raised an eyebrow when seeing you. It's 8am,you should've clicked out an hour ago. Then again the same went for him.
But it was different. It just was.
"What're you still doing here?"
"Waiting"
"For who?"
"You"
Your answer caught him off guard. He was even more confused when you offered him half of your sandwich.
"You shouldn't work overtime. As your colleague and superior I prohibit it"
His answer to your kind gesture was just weird to you
"You prohibit it? What are you? my dad?"
He smirked at your amusement, shaking his head. "Do what you want I don't care"
You smirked, taking hold of his arm as you walked alongside him. "Hmm sure you don't"
A silence fell over the room and he couldn't help but stare at you. You looked like an absolute wreck. Everyone did after a 12 hour shift.
But...something about you was still quite pretty to him. Even with your dark underbags and messy hair.
He sighed, supporting your back. You didn't have the best sense of direction, especially when you were tired
"Don't sleep too late"
"I thought you said you didn't care"
"Shut up"
~*~*~*~*~*
A regular morning presented itself on your next shift. Things were actually going quite slow at the hospital but you'd never say it out loud.
You sipped your caramel frappuccino when a familiar voice spoke.
"You know that's very unhealthy right? I heard it contains 420 calories."
"You know where you can shove that info?" You smiled, glancing at him only to be met with an unamused stare as he crossed his arms. "Haha very funny"
"I'm hilarious I know" you grinned, glancing at him before noticing something.
"You drink black coffee?"
Chishiya was confused why you stared at him as if he's just committed a crime.
"Yes. Why?"
"Do you hate yourself?"
He has to surpress a chuckle, shaking his head. "I like enjoying coffee how it's supposed to be. Black" he then glanced at your drink. "At this point you're consuming more sugar than caffeine"
You rolled your eyes at his comment but got an idea. "Wanna swap? We'll see who's right here"
Chishiya was never one to pass up a challenge. "Sure"
And so the cups exchanged and you both took a sip, silent for a moment.
You hated to admit it but he wasn't wrong. The taste was bitter but oddly sweet at the end. It confused you.
The man to your right looked equally as confused. This sweet drink. It was...delicious.
"It tastes like crap" you both said at the same time, glancing at each other.
~*~*~*~*~
The doctor was happy to finally go on his break without having to worry about an unstable patient although his relief turned into confusion when he saw you arguing with someone.
"Shh don't say that!"
Idiots. That's what you were in his eyes.
He sighed, approaching both of you. "Don't say what?"
You turned to him in disbelief. "A person should never say that it's a slow day in a hospital. It's bad luck" you explained
This only made him scoff. How ridiculous. "You don't actually believe that do you? How gullible are you?"
He teased with a slight smirk. "Trust me,nothing's going to go wro-"
"Code orange,code orange,code orange"
The intercom went off, cutting the doctors and med students' break short as they had new patients to attend to. Lots of them
(Code orange: Mass Casualty/CBRNE)

Quince (2011) by Tomoaki Yoshida and Takeshi Nishimura, Future Robotics Technology Center (fuRo), Chiba Institute of Technology, and Tohoku University, Japan. "Quince was developed to perform on-site surveys for use in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) accidents. "Hypothetical disasters include accidents at plants handling toxic substances, leaks of hazardous chemicals from chemical plants, explosions, and acts of terror like the notorious subway sarin incident. Risks are particularly high in enclosed spaces (underground and inside buildings), and expectations are high for robots as they will protect officers from secondary disasters. Quince surveyed the inside of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant whose damages were caused by the East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. Quince, with modifications for operations at nuclear power plants, has photographed the details of the buildings of the power plant, created radiation dose maps, and sampled radioactive materials floating in the air. It has been helping to reduce the radiation dose of on-site workers and to shorten the work period." – Future Robotics Technology Center (fuRo).
" “When I think about it now,” Yoshida says, “I feel like we really did manage to achieve something with it. All of Japan was in a panic back then, and we were talking about overhauling design plans for a robot that wasn’t even finished. All kinds of people started shouting at us. ‘Are you still working on that?! Hurry up!’ But really, I was impressed that we adapted Quince into something that could function in a nuclear plant in just three months.” … During a mission to investigate the fifth floor of the second reactor building — the first time robots had been used to investigate that building — Quince’s communications cable disconnected, and the robot was left stranded on the building’s third floor. According to officials, it is still there today." – Fukushima Rescue Robots and the Men Who Made Them, by Wataru Tsuchiya.

having worked in public health emergency preparedness for a couple years puts an interesting slant on my current interest spiral around chemical weapons, and now biological also. like.. one of the primary raisons d'être for the very existence of public health emergency preparedness as a field is concerns about 'bioterror.' anthrax, tularemia, plague, botulism. we would run simulation exercises and make plans about how to mass distribute doxycycline and ciprofloxacin to the local population. we would talk about what was the closest location with a cache of atropine to treat nerve gas (or just organophosphate) poisoning. still, the CBRNE plans where I worked were the absolute weakest link in our preparedness arsenal, bar none. there barely was a plan. there was a document with an outline.
and then with that background, I'll read about the history of US experiments with weaponizing anthrax, tularemia, plague, botulism, q fever, crop molds and diseases, etc. not that it comes as a surprise, but it's nonetheless remarkable how much money and effort the federal government pours into doing bioterror, and how little into managing its health effects. and it's ironic to think how much public health emergency preparedness feeds into notions of shoring up 'national security' and never imagines that the threats they would face could come from the hallowed halls of the national security state itself.
like. experimenting with diseases you can inflict on your enemies? intentionally increasing the lethality of those diseases? all blatantly appalling ethics aside, is infecting people whose governments you don't like or killing their crops or their livestock or poisoning their air or water or soil really worth introducing new threats that may very well come back to bite you? diseases spread; that's perhaps one of their hallmark qualities. I know that blowback does tend to come as a lamentable surprise, somehow, to the actors who engender it, but. jfc. it's like pouring gasoline on both your enemies and yourself while all the while designing better matches, and, I suppose, holding a small cup of water in your free hand.
