been thinking about OPLA and like. admittedly i am a pessimist but i don't think it's making it past season 3 if season 2 is mid-to-bad

which like. of course that is an assumption but i'm trying to think of how many tv shows in the recent decade have made it past more than two seasons (especially netflix shows!!). like we are beyond that age of early 2010s shows when mid television could run for 9+ seasons (see: cw) due to various reasons (decline of unions, lack of wage increases etc)

the only example that comes to mind really (in terms of long and successful tv adaptions based on other media) is game of thrones, which isn't really a good example as it began in 2011...but what i am hoping is that OPLA becomes the next GOT in terms of quality, writing, production etc (obviously minus the final seasons when the tv writers ran out of original book content and failed to come up with good writing), especially because OPLA will be undergirded by decades of actual good writing. anyway it is doubtful but one can hope
