my usual interpretation is trans girl amy rose because i think its cool and awesome but i confess theres a very specific self indulgent appeal to transmasc amy for me which is that i am very into the idea of a very stereotypically feminine cis girl character turning into a trans man. dont even know what psychanalysis you can get of me from this im just always into this kind of headcanon. maybe something about the defiance of a character Made specifically to fill a "Girl" role rejecting the way they were conceived and "made to be". or i just like fem trans guys. both are true

I just had a horrible thought about how gross people are bound to be about any sort of funeral or memorial service, like I really hope they can just keep it as private as possible? I don’t want pictures, I don’t want to know who did or didn’t go or who seemed the most upset or what the fuck ever else, I want his friends and family to be able to mourn in peace. Like I keep thinking of those photos of Nick & Mark Ronson at Amy Winehouse’s funeral & how every time I see them I’m like “I shouldn’t be seeing this, it’s not for me”, & how this is the exact same scenario, like it is NOT my business & unless you are a close personal friend or family member of liam it probably isn’t yours either, jfc

as much as i sympathise with the spirit of those ‘i hate harley’s new design posts’ because yeah a lot of them are really really bad. and ur right to complain. i dislike how a lot of them end up circling back to the idea that the only good design for her is her btas jester suit and that any deviation from that is like. inherently bad? idk. i get that people love her classic look and that a lot of her modern designs may not be as aesthetically pleasing in the same way (fair and valid) but i just cannot get behind the idea that she should/would not change the way she dresses and presents herself post joker breakup. someone whose presence in her life was so suffocating that she struggled to define herself outside of him for so long (on both a meta and narrative level). she was literally created to be his sidekick and i mean!! there’s a lot of baggage in that. so of course she would reinvent herself! idk to me i think its important for her to look distinct from the way she was when she was his sidekick because shes not that person anymore. designs have always changed alongside their characters’ evolutions.. this is literally comic books. i have my own gripes about harley’s modern designs don’t get me wrong but the idea that we should go back to the jester suit. idk something about it doesn’t sit right with me and i don’t think it makes sense for her at all. sorry

Yk actually I think we as a fandom need to stop separating things by “canon” vs “fanon” and instead describe it more like … dark . Vs not dark. Or smth of similar nature. Cuz some of the “canon” stuff is cool, made for horror purposes, super interesting and I enjoy it a lot, but it is simply not canon and that’s ok !!!!!! (I don’t actually think anyone needs to stop doing anything it’s not that deep)

Probably too strong to say I "don't care" but like. She's fine?? I don't dislike her or anything, I have the unfair pre-bias of knowing she's the girlfriend of Shogi Akai Guy who I SUPER don't care about, which isn't fair to her. I liked when she got totally wasted in that one movie even if I didn't get why she spent that whole movie angry at Shogi Guy. But I mean she has a very strong personality, we respect it.

Been thinking, it would be kind of funny if, for the longest time, Eddy's dad thought Edd was a girl.

Like it isn't as if he would be paying much attention. Most of the time he is off at the car dealership making dough. He gets home at 6 pm, and first thing he does is turn on the news. He's probably seen Edd only a few times with, at most, minimum interaction. His wife definitely mentioned Eddward by name, but I don't think he would make the connection. Suburban dads have a tendency to only pay half attention, and there are already too many Edwards in the neighborhood to keep up with.

One day, at dinner or smth, Eddy's dad would ask him about "that girl you're always hanging out with."

Eddy:...Nazz??

Eddy's dad: No, no. The tall one, with the hat.

Eddy: *chokes on his casserole* DAD! Edd is a guy!

Edd's visitations to the McGee household become a lot more awkward, at least when Mr. McGee is home.
